I'M already tired and annoyed if i'm really honest like this, is so much work. What'S up beautiful people welcome back to another brand new video, this video is going to be very fun and interesting, because i am going to attempt to silk press my hair. Hopefully it comes out very good also if it's a little bit loud, like you're hearing russell's in the background, it's because it's a very windy day, so i am sitting with one window open, because i want to get some like some fresh air and i'm trying my Best to like use natural light today, but i may at some point probably have to plug in my ring light. But then i'm going to sweat like crazy, so hopefully not really interested to see what the turnout is going to look like. Why. I have my scaffold because i just like want to show you guys the before and after, but i wanted to have like a presentable intro. Okay, so i have straightened and blown up my hair, maybe like twice in the last year, 12 months, thereby but i've never really done like a full on process. I will insert a little instagram story clip right here of what it looked like when i did not do like this entire process that i'm doing right now, but i have been developing a love, hater relationship with my natural hair love, because i am a lazy, natural Hate because it is so difficult for me to manage it right now, like i just find it so much work the four hour maintenance process. Honestly, i am over it. I am totally over it, but i do not want to add any chemicals or relaxer to my hair at least not just yet am i gon na go down that route, probably at some point in time, but right now not really into it. But so i have been watching a ton of videos on youtube for the last two weeks, they're about about relaxers and also about um heat training, my hair, so i've decided you know what let's try the heat training here. The heat training method um instead and i thought erin from airing on demand. I thought her hair was relaxed all the time until i watched one of her vlogs like two weeks ago two days ago and i'm like wait. Her hair is natural and it looks so flawless granted. I may never get to that point. We probably have different textures of hair and it seems like she's, been like um. He trained her hair for a very long time because she mentioned that the flat iron that she was using she's been using it for 10 years. So i guess i understood why it looks so straight, but it's healthy and full. So yesterday i decided you know what i'm going to go like the extra mile and get some products so that i can try a new process using like the whole heat protectant serum blowing out straightening wrapping all those different things. So, let's dive into this video, i washed my hair again yesterday and i used, i went to the beauty store and i got this keratin shampoo and conditioner by ogx. Yeah ogx. I'Ve never used this before, but i got the brazilian keratin therapy shampoo and i got the brazil. I got the keratin oil conditioner, okay and then i also got uh. I got two heat protectants because i was not sure which one would be ideal, so i'm probably gon na use both of them, because i do see that they use a heat, protectant spray and then a heat serum. So i got a heat protectant serum, a straightening serum by uh fantasia. I see fantasia and i got a formal heat protectant spray from kanto. This has shear butter in there and then i also right now my hair, i just washed. My hair yesterday conditioned my hair and i put in this leave-in conditioner by apogee and surprisingly my hair was still soft and manageable this morning. So i'm very happy about that because that never happens that never happens. Usually i struggle after i wash my hair. So, let's show you guys what it looks like right now i have been before i take it down, so my grease are coming in full force like this is my hair. These are my grease like they're all over all over and i do have fussy hair. I'Ve been a natural for the last um three years, so yeah, that's that so what i'm gon na be doing is taking it down section by section to blow it out. So this is my hair in its natural state. I don't have anything in there right now. I just washed it yesterday put in the conditioner and then i put in some heat leaving conditioner by apogee, and i find that it's quite soft and manageable. I kind of run my fingers through it, which is never never the situation, but i'm quite happy about that and i i'm seeing some white specks flying up. So i'm not sure if it's like a residue from the living, because i did like a full clay cleanse. Last weekend, so it can't be that - and i haven't put any products in my hair whatsoever, so yeah. So i have my blow dryer hair. I am going to be using this detangling brush, which is like very it has a lot of spaces in there. So like go through it, whilst i blow dry it i'll blow it out, rather, what's my trend, i thought then i'm gon na flat iron it afterwards. So i am gon na put a little bit of heat protecting spray over it before i blow dry because i'm going to add heat to it, so i'm just going to spray it by section rub that in hopefully it doesn't rivet my hair, okay, i think it's Called the tension method, i'm not sure so this is how it looks and i haven't even run a comb through it, so we're getting somewhere, hey. Okay, so i have blown out half of my head. This is a very long process, a really super long process, but i'm trying my best to like get the roots as smooth as possible so that when i'm flat ironing, i don't have to put a lot of heat in there, but so far this is what it Looks like - and i think i'm pretty much done with this side, so i'm going to put it into like two segments or maybe three segments see my hand's gon na run for it effortlessly. The back still feels a little bit shrink like coily, so i'll probably pass the iron on there or the blow dryer on there. Maybe one more time in the back area, and then i will put it into three sections and then do the same thing. On this side, so can you tell the difference? I'M not sure, but look at my grace - oh my goodness. Oh my goodness, okay, so i am done with the blowout. This is what it looks like super full. This side is actually longer than this side. I don't know only because it's fuller, i don't know, let's just show the back all right so now i am going to flat iron. So for my flat iron, i have this flat iron. I'M not sure where i got this from. I think it's my sister's, but i have no idea what brand this is. This was up to 220 degrees, which is not a lot of heat for my hair, but i've used it once before. Um and i didn't get like a bone straight straightener. So, let's see how it comes out today with like actual products and i'm going to put on there a little bit of heat, protectant serum. So i'm going to like section my hair into two parts put on some heat protecting serum and then i will flat iron. So i'll start with the back and then i'll come i'll work my way up to the front area, but let's see how it goes, the highest temperature i'll start with the highest temperature, because my hair is so resistant. So i want to make sure when i need a comb, a small comb, i'm eating chocolate cake, so good, okay, so i am heating up, i kind of feel like i'm. You know it's good enough mirror right here, so i'm gon na start off with small sections and i'm going to attempt again. This is like an attempt to do a do a chase method. So before i do that, i will put the serum the heat protectant serum on my section. Is it open? No, it's not! No! It'S not. I thought it was yes. It is because i was feeling this thing on my hand. Early on, i haven't used this in years. I would use these things when i had a relaxer, which was like a good five years ago, because i had i've done like two big chops in the last five years, so i did a big job five years ago when it got two years. I was like. Hmm, i wonder what it looks like so i did a tech slacks. It was super long and then it got really dry because i was not really managing it. So i decided you know what i'm gon na cut it off again, i need a pixie, and here we are again so if i did not cut my hair, it would probably be like at my boobs area, so we have some serum. I will just like rub that in make sure my hair is nicely coated and protected granted. I'Ve never done this before i've. Never done all these steps before for sure my hair is already reversing. I can feel the coils coming back, especially in the area here, which is where i felt initially, it was not fully flat. Okay, so we will start off with small sections. Okay is going to be a long process and, let's see if i can achieve this chase method thingy, so i think i have to put the flap and please and then fall with the comb. If i'm correct, i'm not sure always your way around. Okay, my angle is not ready all that, so let's do that again, hot hot hot. I don't know how people do this honestly like. I cannot and yes, i'm doing more on one pass, because it's not my hands, my hands very small, so i feel like when i get to a certain point. I have to like switch it around, but this is the first. I cannot maneuver this. This is the first piece nice and smooth: let's get up close lighting, okay, so i will do two passes at least for this piece. It might be the fifth pass, but i'm trying my best to maneuver this as much as i possibly can. Okay, i think we got it there. We go okay, nice and smooth. I would really prefer someone to do this for me. I don't see myself doing this every two weeks, because i'm already tired and annoyed - if i'm really honest like this - is so much work. So here's the difference between the blue out and a straighten the piece i stretch it and normally, when my hair is in its natural state, like it's not blown out anything, it would reach me around here my collarbone area, when i well maybe like my neck area In its shrunken state - and if i do stretch it out, usually it will get hair so alrighty. So i don't think i can do this on camera honestly. So i need to like really look at the mirror and focus on this, so just to show you guys what it looks like, and this is what it looks like in the back for now like be back, so i am going to do all of this and Then i'm going to come back to this video when i am at least maybe 85 done, because really and truly i cannot look at the mirror. I cannot look at the camera and maneuver the comb and the flat end. At the same time, i'm not a pearl. So this is like a struggle for me, so i'm gon na turn around this way. My mirror is this way: okay, alrighty be right back okay, so i am done with my silk press. I actually i'm gon na call this a heat training series, because i'm gon na be doing this more than once. This was a lot of work, so i'm gon na do this again in one month, this side of my hair is way thicker, maybe two weeks. It'S way thicker than this side. I already knew that from like having my natural hair, my natural clothing, and it came out very good, very light and i definitely need a trim, but i'm gon na do that anytime soon. This is what it looked like in the back, so at least i can comb my hair this week without having to worry about anything but yeah. So that's it for this video.
