If you have short hair, long hair, or medium hair, this tutorial is for you! As promised, I am still making content for all hair lengths on my channel! Let me know in the comments below if you like this set up with using my sisters long hair!

Hey everyone Kayley your friendly neighborhood, hair stylist here and today we're doing some heatless hairstyles on short and long hair., ( electronic music ). I think I pretty much always have requests to do more heatless hairstyles, and I know that I need to push myself out of my box and do that more so we're doing it today on my hair and my sister's hair, so that you have kind of a Visual on both shorter and longer hair. - And I am gon na throw in a couple extra little things that you can do if your hair is super long and you're really dealing with some kind of crazy texture moments.. I designed all these to be really easy, so that you could throw together so that it's not like a whole extra thing in your day.. So if you're excited for some heatless hairstyles, don't forget to hit that like button to help support my channel and if you're new here, you can hit that subscribe button to join the Braidaholic family here on Kayley Melissa.. But that being said, let's learn some new hairstyles. ( electronic music ). Okay, here we go. This is my natural hair texture, it's obviously very straight. I hardly ever use it in my videos, but all these hairstyles are meant to work on heatless hair. So whatever your natural hair, texture is., So let's get started. First things: first, split your hair in half and clip one half out of the way.; And now I'm going to Dutch braid my hair back starting right up here at my hairline and kind of creating this Semicircle around til, it hits the nape of my neck.. You could also do a French braid here. That would be really pretty and if that's easier for you go for it. And once you reach the nape of the neck, go ahead and secure your place with an elastic., I feel like. I have a lot of hair in this pigtail still. Look at me.. It would still be cute if you had just like a little nub and tail too. I think that would be super cute. And now, if you want, you can go ahead and pull this apart and loosen up some hair around your hairline. All right. It'S lookin' good! We'Ve got some little bumpies to fix, which I think we should do on camera., Oh god., So you did a great job. These little hairs. They just happen when you braid. So the best way to fix. If you have like a little bumpy like this - and I think I've showed this with my braids before'cause - this happens to me. You're, just gon na put a bobby pin through the bump, and then you can put this wherever you want it to go from there.. Usually, the easiest thing is to take it on the outside of the braid and then pin underneath the braid and it's gone. Same thing over here. I think what might have happened is maybe Anna Laura just grabbed a little bit of extra hair right here. So we're just gon na put the bobby pin through that bit. Take it around back and pin it down., You did it Woo hoo, Now repeat the same thing on the other: side. ( electronic music ). So now here we are with these braided pigtails, which are not the worst thing to be honest, but I want to finish this hairstyle out., So I'm gon na take another set of clear elastics and I'm going to put them around the base of the ponytail and Then leave the hair looped on the last rotation and on the short hair. It'S definitely gon na be like little nubbins, which I think is cute. I love that in a hairstyle, so I'm gon na leave that there and if you want to cover any ends, you can tuck and pin them. ( electronic music ), Then for the longer hair version. You'Re gon na have some extra ends. So as I'd love to do with the Shenyang, you can wrap the ends around the base and pin them in place, and it will look great.. Conversely, if you're not so much into the Shenyang, you can always do whatever bun you love.. All right. You did pretty good, I'm gon na jump in and help. I'm going to pivot this loop around and then the way that this ended up getting wrapped. It'S like a little high, so I'm just gon na loosen that up a little bit. And then we just you know finish pinning the ends. Really., It's not bad. You did great. Yay. Ah I love it. (, electronic music ). Another thing that might help you, because you have so much hair, is like if you wan na, stop and pin it after you wrap it around once and then you know, do the rest., Oh Yeah, that might help. (, electronic music ) And there's the hairstyle. It'S a really simple concept, but I just think it's so cute.. I love it with the day dress. I love it with athleisure anytime anywhere is a good hairstyle., ( electronic music ) And now, let's move on to a little bun hairstyle. We're gon na. Do a short hair version and then an additional long hair version for this one. So either way you're gon na start with pulling your hair half up. However much you want for that, half up and secure it with an elastic. And now with the resulting ponytail, we're gon na create a little braided bun., So first you're gon na braid, the ponytail. And now, with the end, I'm going to secure this with an elastic Loosely so you're not gon na go as tight as you can just kind of stop one rotation early. And now we're gon na scrunch, the braid up., So you're gon na grab a little bit of hair at the end, grab the elastic and slide the elastic up. The hair. And then you're gon na pull this apart and make it extra bubbly.. Now you can do this without the elastic. I just find it's much easier'cause. Now you can use both hands to texturize the braid. And then once you have a nice bubbly braid going on, you can wrap it into a bun and pin it in place. And then once everything's pinned you'll probably want to loosen it up again, just to make Sure everything's, where you want it. And once you're done with that, that is it for the first version of this bun hairstyle., So for the optional long hair version that first bun is gon na sit just a little bit further back. You don't want it in full. Talk knot, position or else the whole balance is gon na, be a little off. ( electronic music ), And then all you have to do to add on to this is: do the same thing again, just underneath the first bun., So you're gon na pull all the Rest of your hair, together into an elastic braid, it elastic it scrunch it bun it. And that's it.. If you don't want it to look like double buns, you can also try to cross pieces over a little bit and pin the two buttons closer together that way. It looks like one kind of updo instead of just two separate buns on your head. And there you go. Those are both versions.. I love it both with one or two buns. It really just comes down to like. Do you wan na go half up. Half down. Is the rest of your hair? Maybe not the best texture right now and you wan na hide it all or you just want everything up. Either way. It'S a good hairstyle and I hope you guys try this out. (, electronic music ) And now for our last hairstyle. We'Re gon na. Do a little basic braid and then one way to add on to it if you want. So first things. First, I think this one's gon na look good with the side part.. I wouldn't go super deep with the side part just to keep it a little bit more modern, just about right, here. And then on the shallow side, you're gon na start doing a Dutch braid back.. The most important thing here is that you're taking very small sections.. If you take large sections you're only gon na end up with like three or four links over your ear, and it might not look as cute. So little tiny sections take a little bit of extra time. Once you've got all the hair over your ear into this braid you're gon na braid, the rest normally and then secure it with an elastic., And now I'm gon na go through and pull this apart to. Let it breathe a little bit., I'm not trying to make the braid super duper big! You just wan na loosen it up a little bit.. Finally, I'm gon na tuck the braid behind my ear and use the bobby pin to hold that in place.. Then just kind of fluff, the rest of this side out and you're done. And that's the first version of this hairstyle. I feel like this is kind of a throwback for me and I love it. And now you're gon na make another braid so you're gon na Take a section at the nape of your neck braid that all the way down and secure it with a hair elastic., Then you're gon na make a ponytail with the first braid and the rest of your hair, leaving out that little nape of the neck braid and You'Re going to keep that looped on the last rotation to make a Shenyang., Then you're gon na wrap the ends around the base and pin those in place and finish off the hairstyle by wrapping the braids around the base and pinning that in place.. Whether you're doing just the braid or you're, adding the bun in it's a really quick, easy thing that you can do just kind of dresses up the hairstyle. It will look good on whatever hair texture, you have. And that's it for our heatless hairstyles today.. I hope that you guys enjoyed it.. Let me know in the comments how you feel we're doing with this whole short and long hair thing.. I wan na keep workshopping it. I wan na keep making it perfect. So I wan na hear your thoughts.. I had a really great time with these hairstyles, though they're going in my rotation, I'm going to be wearing them. They are A plus in my book.. If you did enjoy the video, don't forget to hit that like button to help support my channel.. Darcy Reads Sometimes: I love watching you help your sister in real time. Super helpful!

Annelies: I love that Anna Laura braids her own hair. I think her braid game is about the same level as most of us. Plus she's super fun Fan of the long and short hair combo videos girl!

Amber N. Evans: Would you ever consider doing a “back to basics” kind of video where you go over different types of braiding and demonstrate them on long and now your short hair? I’m enjoying getting to see more short hair variations for hairstyles!! <3

c s: Honestly I love your short hair straight!! It’s so sleek and elegant!! ♥️

Margaret Dotson: i think my fav part of the long and short hair is how she goes in and tells her sister how to fix it. that’s definitely the most helpful part! i like seeing that someone else struggles with the hair styles too (and then how to fix them!)

Katy Bazev: Love how you started to do your hairstyles on two different hair lengths! ❤️

Brie B: The addition of your sister doing hairstyles is like most of “us” doing them and not professionals. Great addition!

Edelys Armas: Hey Kayley! I really like that you kept in the parts where you helped out your sister. This shows us how to solve issues that might come up!! Love your intro btw!!!

Melissa Hutton: I love these! Totally throwing that double bun updo into my rotation. And I’m loving the long hair/short hair options!!! What a great idea!

Stephanie Montoya: I think you made the best decision on having short and long hair. Because now I have more options and learning on how to do the hairstyles. I'm really looking forward in watching more of your videos.

AnitaTravels: I REALLY appreciate seeing the styles on both long and short hair, as well as HOW it's done for both rather than just saying you can do it on either. It's also helpful to see your sister do it on her own hair for those of us who aren't as practised as Kayley to get a sense of how it'll be when you're not a pro. I'm loving the new tutorial style❤❤❤

Rachel3815: LOVE THAT YOU SHOWED ON LONG AND SHORT HAIR!! It’s so nice to see how to alter it for your length. Thank you for doing that

MsMielas: As someone who does her hair in the style of "I am skilled thanks to Kayley Melissa but I mess up a ton and I don't know how to fix it", it's awesome to have your sister show up so you can show how to quick fixes versus re-doing the entire braid! I'm loving your recent content, girl xo

Michelle Leo: I really love this set up of having your sister try the hairstyle herself right after you demo it! Especially if she makes mistakes (like I'm sure many of us do...) and you're able to step in and show us how to fix things when we mess up! (I ALWAYS end up with 2 separate buns when I try to do 2 with the goal of making it look like 1!)

Olivia Marcel: I LOVE the short/long versions! I used to have long hair but recently chopped it, so I love seeing what makes sense for my hair now, but also what I could do if I decide to grow it out again. Also, super appreciate when you show how you would correct little mistakes (like those pesky hairs that try to escape the braid) without starting over

Celeste Stratton: I am LOVING seeing you and your sister!!!! As a fellow straight hair babe (now with a very similar hair cut!) I am always hyped when you do a heartless style! Laura Johnsen: Loving the long and short hair options! My current length is somewhere in-between, so I take whichever tricks 'n tips serve me best to accomplish the style. LeilaniV: I love this short and long version of hairstyles and I loved the bonus of how to fix the mistakes this was so helpful! Thank you so much!

JP and ME: Love it! Love it! Love it! I love seeing how your sister tries it on her own and then you help her out, because I feel like that's me when I braid my hair. I end up with little pieces of hair everywhere or a sideways bun . I have short hair right now and it is cool to see styles for both short and long hair. Keep up the good work.

Mindless Creativity: Loving the short/long hair versions of the hairstyles! And also, it's great how simple they are, definitely gonna try them!

Leonie: i LOVED this! You helping your sister is so helpful, bc i make the same mistakes! I really never use any heat on my hair so these heatless hairstyles are so nice!

Alice Jones: Love Love LOVE the short and long versions! And definitely going to try the double braided buns as an updo ❤️

Lily Castle: I love the heatless hairstyles! I usually don't have much time in the morning to style my hair with heat in the morning, so I love having cute things to do with my hair when I have a quick minute when I get to work. Can't wait to see more! :D I also love seeing the hair styles on both your short hair and your sister's long hair. Mine is just somewhere in between, so I know I can do either way and make it work somehow!

Michelle Byrd: I love love LOVE that you are offering long AND short tutorials to the same hair styles in the same video!!! My daughters and I grow out our hair and donate very few years, so more often than not we all have varying length of hair And it’s fun to “match” hair styles regardless of length. Thank you, and I love that your sister is doing this with you.

Sadie McC: I've watched so many hair tutorials, I thought I'd seen it all, but you constantly surprise me with your new takes and variations. I love your originality! I enjoy the long/short thing you're doing here, so people who are growing out their hair have options, and also I like that your sister does the hair on herself, so we can see what it looks like as done by someone who didn't go to cosmetology school, and then how you help her make it better. Great video! Thank you!

Karen Rogers: Love this format! It's great when you talk through how to 'fix' what your sister did. Because I know it's the same mistakes I will do when I try them :)

Rebecca Jaycox: Love this!! Also love that both of you are doing it on yourselves& the trouble shooting on the braid with the common mistake thing was awesome & super helpful!!! Tried the Dutch buns on my girls & they loved it!!!

Janie Tyrell: You and your sister are such a dynamic duo! I’m loving y’all together. Your channel has always been incredible but y’all’s interactions have been like a breath of fresh air. Also, your sister’s tan guns are killing it

Victoria Greenhalgh: Ah! I’ve been rocking the first hairstyle for over two years! I like to sometimes do a diagonal side part as well so one braid incorporates my fringe ☺️

Cindy Hoang: Your hair always comes out so perfectly with your tutorials, so I love that with your sister we can see how bumps & wayward strands can come up and see how to fix them!

Apostle Marissa Sharp Freeman: Love both your sister and you are doing these! Really helps to see the styles on different hair lengths! Love how your sister is doing it on her own, and you come in and help. Y’all are so cute together! Saved this one to my favorite hairstyle videos! God bless you!

Ellen Osborne: Your channel has never been better!!! I love the short and long options! Plus, it’s so fun to see more of the process and you and your sister’s chemistry!

Trisha Lenon: I’m LOVING the short hair! I tend to keep my hair short and I always limit myself to the same 2 hairstyles (low pony or half up) and your short hair style videos help SO MUCH!

Annamariexo: I cut off 13 inches of my hair today & I feel like a whole new person!! ‍♀️ this video came just in time for college classes starting soon & that lip color on you is stunning ❤️❤️

Rebekah Watson: I love how you incorporate both long and short hair in every style! Amazing!

FindiCala: I looooooove your new haircut but I love even more the effort you and your sister made for this video to demonstrate the hairstyles on both lengths! It’s such a cool bonus for the quality of your videos (they were already great before)! Plus your sister doing the hairstyles on herself shows that even people with an average (or closer to average at least ;) ) level of hairstyling skill can do them! I hope you continue doing that for the future! XO’s to both of you from France

Obfuscatress: I love your new video style! Having both short and long hair versions in the same video is really cool and it's helpful to see you troubleshoot your sister's mistakes on camera b/c a lot of them are problems I've had too.

Claudia Aguayo: I watched it and immediately after I tried the bun tutorial. Needless to say, that is now my hairstyle for the day! LOVE YOUR VIDEOS SO MUCH

Katie Romrell: I LOVE that you talk through how you adjust it based on short or long hair. It's super helpful, and as a person who as both at different times in the year, I love not having to have my short hair styles and my long hair styles. :)

Dana D: I love when your sister tries to do it herself and then you help her! I make those mistakes all the time and it is so helpful!!!

DAschraft920: Love the way you're showing the long and short versions of the hairstyles. Especially loved in this one where you sister tried to do her own hair style and you helped her out. I'm definitely more on her skill level, so it's helpful to see someone not do it perfect but make it work.

Cacoa Dentry: I'm early!! This is exactly what I needed! So fun and easy!!! Thanks Kayley. PS: love this style of videos ❤️
