Disclaimer: Sponsored by TYMO! I love their straightening comb & actually bought the pastel pink one myself - I hope you like seeing this cool product & let me know if you have tried it your thoughts!

Hey it's jackie and welcome back to my channel for another hair tutorial in this video we're gon na get these fluffy curls. That are very 80s. I was really inspired by an old ad of brooke shields. I love fluffy curls and i loved the 80s styling. So i replicated it and i hope you guys enjoy this heatless curl method. I think i made it up. Maybe it's been done before, but i used scrunchies to make it extra 80s. So i hope you enjoy this video and because heatless curls are pretty quick and easy to do. I also i'm going to show you my review of the timo straightening comb. I'Ve seen this all over youtube and taimo reached out to me, so this is sponsored they gifted me this straightening comb and i have an extra one to give away so stay tuned for the pop culture password to see how to enter, but i will be demonstrating How to use this tool, while i do have curls, because my hair is basically straight anyways and i'll, show you how to get volume, it's very fun and easy to use. So i hope you guys enjoy and if you want to check it out, there will be a link down below and a discount code. Let'S get the scrunchies out and get these waves and then make it a little bit more 90s with the tymos draining comb. All you'll need is some scrunchies. I have a multi-color pack here to make it super fun and bright so at night on dry hair, we're going to apply some scrunchies, and this is very quick and easy for these brook shields inspired curls. I did a side part on the opposite side than i normally do and then pick up a small to medium section and, with your thumb, push the scrunchie laying flat under the section of hair and wrap your hair around your thumb and scrunchy. You want to do this tightly and i'm laying the hair flat and not letting it get twisted when i wrap it around. So i get more of a ringlet type curl once the ends of your hair are wrapped around. Take the back side of the scrunchie open up the hole and secure around getting in the other side of the scrunchie to make a bun. I find doing this with damp hair in the morning my hair still isn't dry and i have quite thin hair. So you want to do this with dry hair and if your hair doesn't curl very well with other types of overnight heating, curl methods that you've tried, you can always use some hairspray or some gel to help mold the hair into shape. Even if you do these very tightly, it still will be a bit of a looser curl because of the way how we wrapped it around the finger to get a looser curl pattern. And if you have super thick hair, you might need oversized scrunchies to be able to wrap the end of the scrunchie around your hair, but otherwise normal scrunchies should work i'll. Add a curl going backwards from the crown. So i get a bit of a lift there. This method is fast. I love that i can choose where i want the curl to go as if i'm curling my hair. I'Ve done my makeup very 80s inspired and i switched up the scrunchies and it's best to leave these in as long as possible. I waited about nine hours and, let's just take these curls down, i'm taking the top of the elastic that we applied around the base and removing it and unwinding these pretty curls. Of course, typically in the 80s, girls would use hot rollers and really tease out the base of their hair. But this is a heat-free way to do it, and i thought it was fun with scrunchies and i'm gon na style. These curls, with a bit of hairspray and some teasing with a comb, because these are looser curls and the looser the curl is. It always falls out on me, i'm going between each bend and i'm giving a bit of a tease to fluff it up. Make it look. Bigger, makes my hair look a lot thicker and then i'm pinning the ends up to my dress. This is to recreate the image and also give that fake, really full hair effect. You can also just tease this out without pinning, of course, adding a diy bow to a beret was super popular. So i'm going to twist the front section of my bangs back and then add this bow that i placed onto a comb and then i'm fluffing up the top again teasing between each curl. This is really gentle. I'M really not going crazy with using here, of course, in the 80s they used so much hairspray. I'M going to use the timo ring next to show you how i like to wear my hair with a bit of volume while keeping it straight. So i'm not going to apply too much hair spray because it's best to use straightening combs without a bunch of hair product in but a little hairspray i'll be fine. I love the bright lips bows and jewels and the satin black dress. I thrifted and i diy'd the rest of this look, so let me know if you'll try out these scrunchy curls to add some 80s into your look and it's time to test out the timo straightening comb. So this comb comes with the glove two clips to help divide your hair. If you need to - and the straightening comb of course - and it comes with a carrying case and a detangling comb as well when you plug it in you see a blue dot. That just means it's plugged in not that it's on. So let's hit the on button and you can choose your heat setting. So i watched a lot of reviews for this product and i saw girls with very curly hair straighten their locks out with ease with the highest seat setting. So i'm going to go with the medium heat setting. I could even go with the second heat setting as well. If you never really know how much heat to apply the lowest setting is for soft and thin hair. Second, setting can be used on bleach, hair darker hair can usually take the third setting and if you have slight curls or waves, try four and then, if you really have thick and curly hair or wavy hair, then you'd want to go up to the highest heat. Setting it heats up in 60 seconds and before you use the comb, it's really important that your hair has no knots in it, because the comb is not meant to get out your knots like a brush, but it works like taking a flat iron with a comb Running underneath it, but it's all in one, so i'm brushing these curls out quite a bit and i got some pretty waves here. I would definitely wear my hair like this. For a second day type of curl i like to comb with a straightening comb going upwards, not downwards, because i can see the hair going into the plates and then i slowly run through and it leaves the hair so silky and straight. Of course you can use the glove it comes with. I never do and i have a lower heat setting anyway, but you can use the glove if you need to. I can do my whole head in about seven minutes, but this does turn off in 30 minutes automatically, so you don't have to worry about forgetting to turn it off. The design is so much safer for that and not burning yourself as well with heated plates. I'M going to use the clips, so you can get a closer look at getting up into the roots of the hair and look at how polished that looks. I almost never wear my hair straight, but i have been recently like in this last couple: photos. I'Ve been posting on instagram i've been using the straightening comb and it's easier to get that bit of lift to the top of your roots, because you can actually get close to the root like sometimes you'll get that line from clamping down with traditional straighteners. So once i've straightened it i'm going to do another hairstyle that is loosely inspired by another 80s picture of brook shields, but it feels more like 90s share from clueless taimo also has a pastel pink time-o-ring hair, straightening comb. I love it. I use the black and pink one because it totally matched the outfit, but i think i would have picked the pastel pink out of the two options on the website, because i have mostly white hair tools and i feel like the pastel. Just is so pretty. So let me know down below which one you prefer and i have two giveaways so on this video i thought i would give away the black and pink one. I have a new one, of course, so stay tuned for the pop culture password and also be sure to head over to my instagram, because i am giving away a baby pink one over there as well. You can use my promo code jackie25 for 25 off at the time of website, so be sure to use the code and save if you're interested in trying out the straightening comb. I know they have a code for 20 off their site, but mine is for 25. So make sure to use it to save even more, and this makes my hair feel so silky and smooth. I love it. I'M going to really gently tease around my face, i like to backcomb with a small comb and use a high hold hairspray to give the front pieces some wave while keeping the rest of the hair very sleek and straight. I love no heat curls but getting sleek hair. I do use some heat, though this is less damaging, especially when you pay attention to the best heat setting for your hair and if you want to enter the giveaway for a timeo, straightening comb comb at the pop culture password, which is bodacious. That'S a popular 80s term and no matter if your hair was curly or straight, you got to have some bodacious body to it and also leave your instagram handle. So i can dm you if you're the winner. Let me know if you like my hair curly or straight like what should be my go-to hairstyle and from 80s. We look very 90s now um here is another one of my favorite hairstyles i wore this over on an instagram live. I did and they love to use this comb just to even style, some face framing pieces, it's great because again, it gets right to the root and you can also create a curve. So here's the pink tool in action giving my hair that bend and again my heat setting is just on two here. So if it was higher, i would have the glove on the other hand, so this is on the incorrect hand, that i'm demonstrating with the point of the glove is, so you can touch your hair right after you heat it up and you won't feel the heat And let's take it back to the first 80s: look because i have a vintage product haul from the 80s. It'S super fun, so stay tuned. Let me know in the comments: if you've tried out the time of straightening comb, i would love to know your thoughts and which version of the hairstyles i showed today it was your favorite and i love to collect vintage products. I'Ve been doing this since the start of quarantine, like i love ebay and i started to find some 80s products that i wanted to show you guys, because they're just so fun in 80s. Let me know if you were in the 80s. If you remember any of these and they're nostalgic to you but check out this packaging, so apparently there was a fragrance called malibu musk that everyone had in a can, but i found the fragrance. This is just so cool, it's very malibu barbie and it says instant. California, sunshine at malibu musk, and this was the little car in the advertising that they had next up. We have the butterscotch lip gloss. This is so old. This is so cool and unopened. So i have this one, i'm just gon na save it. Obviously i can't really use these products, i mean lip. Balm would probably be okay, it still smells good, but my mom had this one. So this is super cute and i know dr pepper lip smacker was big, so i have one of those and then this hair product um brook shields like endorse. They don't make it anymore, but i really wanted to get my hands on it, and this is the conditioner smells like, i always just say, powdery old person, but that's how, like all old products smell to me. I don't know if they like turn that way, but anyways there is my mini 80s collection. I like to still add to it, and i hope you guys enjoyed this video if you did make sure you give it a thumbs up and if you want to keep on watching you might like richardson series of hairstyles or because it's warming up. Maybe you want a no makeup makeup. Look. You can always try out the brook shields from the blue lagoon. Tutorial book shields is forever my favorite beauty icon, and i will see you in my next video
