It's time for Prom! Here's a hair tutorial on hairstyles that will work for short and medium length hair!
Whether you have short hair, medium hair, or a lob, you will find a hair style for you! You can wear your hair half up Half down, or even in an updo. This will be great for any formal occasion, so it's great for wedding season, which is just around the corner. These are all pretty easy and beginner friendly so you can totally DIY them and save yourself some extra $$$ for that dress ;).

( upbeat high tempo music, ), Hey everyone., Kayley, here., So prom and wedding season are both coming up.. I thought I would show you guys some hairstyles that you can do on short/medium-length hair, for whatever occasion you have coming up.. These are all totally D-I-Yable.. I think you'll love them., Let's get into it.. Let'S get started with this simple and sleek hairstyle.. I started out by making sure my hair was nice and straight, but you could do this on wavy or curly hair too. If you like., Then I grabbed a comb, and I used the fine-toothed end to brush back the hair right over my ear and tuck it right where I wanted it to stay.. Once you have it in place, you can pin it, and I did that by taking the open end of the bobby, pin and grabbing the hair just behind the ear and then tucking it back, so that the rest of the bobby pin hid underneath the hair.. If you have any hair, that's trying to flop over, on top of everything that we've pinned, you can just pin that back as well. And then I finished this off with just three pearl bobby pins.. These specific ones are sold out, but I'll leave you a really easy D-I-Y link in the description, box. And that's it.. This one is really simple, but it's sleek. It'S understated. I think it has a little bit of trendiness to it, while still being really easy to accomplish.. Now onto a much more romantic option., I started by curling my hair with a one inch curling iron.. I just split it in half curled, the bottom half first and then the top half. And I curled the stuff around my face away from my face and then everything else I switched between doing towards my face and away from my face., And I ended up with These really cool bouncy curls, which I actually would totally wear just for prom or any day really.. Now, for the twist, I started by taking a large section right next to my face and off of my part and twisting it away from my face. Once you've twisted it a few times, you're gon na grab, like the tiniest section at the end and then you're Gon na use your other hand to scrunch everything up all the way up to your root. Then bring it back down about half way, and you should have a nice voluminous twist.. You can also go back in with your thumb and forefinger and pull it apart. Just a little bit more, so you really have that twist going on. Then just sweep it back and pin it in place.. Now you're gon na pick up more hair, just under the last part of the first twist and you're, going to twist it in the exact same way, and this is gon na extend that twist, so that it looks like it's the same piece of hair.. So after you do your twist scrunch and pin, we are ready to move on to the other side where we are gon na. Do the exact same thing again. So grab a section right up front and twist scrunch sweep it back so that it covers any bobby pins that you used on the previous twist and pin it in place. Then grab your second section just underneath the end of that Twist and twist scrunch and pin again. At this point, you can leave it you're done, but if you want to, you can add a little sparkly hair accessory at the end of our last twist. Or you could add accessories all around.. I feel like those pearl bobby pins from before could look really cool in this hairstyle. And that's it., Who said you can't have a whimsical, romantic hairstyle on short hair. It'S totally possible. And you could repeat those twisting steps as many times as you need. If you have really short hair., So this is totally an option for everyone., Let's finish off with an updo.. Admittedly, this one is going to be best on medium hair and lobs. You're gon na start off in the back by grabbing a small section on either side of the crown of your head, then bring them together and secure them with an elastic. Now grab all the Hair, that's left in the back and leave out any hair that you have over your ears.. So you should have just a little bit left out on either side. Now you're going to take that back section and you're going to secure it with an elastic at the very, very end like as close to the ends of your hair. As you can., Then just reach up and tuck that elastic under the previous one and pin it in place. And you've got this cute little chignon.. So now we're just gon na deal with the hair in the front. On one side, go ahead and sweep it back and then begin braiding as much hair as you can. Until you get to the very end. Loosen it up just a little bit and then sweep it back over the top of the chignon and pin it in place. And then do the exact same thing. On the other side., I made a similar tutorial for this hairstyle on long hair.. If you want to know how to do that, just check the card and shout out to anyone who's watching this video, even if it's not their hair length., You all are the best And that's it for this hairstyle.. It'S really simple and a great way to get that lob length hair into an updo that looks amazing for prom or weddings or whatever is going on., And that's it for this video.. I hope you've enjoyed it.. After I got my hair fixed (well, as good as it's gonna get unfortunately) I was left with hair that I have no clue on how to style.
