( upbeat electronic dance, music, ), [, Kayley ] Today, I'm just gon na show you one hairstyle.. This was super requested and it's really easy.. So I'm gon na show you the basics of how to do it and also some more details. If you really want to finesse it., So let's get started., I'm gon na start out by curling my hair.. This is totally optional. Start by splitting your hair in half to get it ready for the pigtails, and then I'm gon na use a one inch curling iron to curl all my hair away from my face. As you do. This take some sections that are a little bit larger and then some sections that are a little bit smaller that way. You'Ll have curls that are slightly looser and slightly tighter., And that way, once it all goes into a pigtail. It'S not gon na be like one solid ringlet. It'S gon na be a little bit more broken up.. Also with the idea of breaking things up in mind, I didn't fully curl the ends of the hair so that it was a little bit looser and a little bit more natural looking.. Then you'll do the same thing on the other side.. Now you don't have to curl your hair for this. It will look good on straight hair or curly hair, whatever I just wanted to really re-create the original hairstyle., And now that my hair is curled, I'm moving on to the pigtails. On this first side, I'm just gon na cover the basics., I'm gon na start by Taking a large section of hair right next, your hairline and your part and you're going to begin to twist it away from your face. A couple of times. Then pick up a section of new hair. Put that with your twist and continue to twist away from your face., So this isn't like a rope braid where you're wrapping things around you're, literally just bringing new hair into the twist. ( upbeat, instrumental music ). The way that I like to do this is by taking my thumb and sliding it against my scalp to pick up new hair., And once I have that hair, I take my fingers and rotate them around the twist to bring that new hair in and then I Continue to twist a couple of times - and I do that again. - You can use whatever hand, movements work for you, but I find for me this is really easy and gets the job done really well.. Once all the hair is twisted, you can go ahead and secure. It with an elastic. Margot's twists were very tousled, so I'm going in and massaging by making little circular movements with my fingers and loosening up the twist.. If you happen to loosen it up in any ways that make it look funny from the front, you can always pin those areas back down a little bit, but definitely go in and loosen this up.. It makes the hairstyle look so much better.. You can also pull out a couple pieces of hair around your temples and your ear to just kind of break up the front, a little.. Now the easy way to finish this off is by taking a small piece of hair wrapping it around your elastic and then pinning it in place.. I'M gon na show you a little bit more of an advanced option for the next one and I think it's what her stylist actually did.. So, let's just get on to the other side.. Now that you got some basics, let's go into more detail. You're gon na start, taking that large section of hair next to your part in your hairline, and you want to pull it almost straight back, but slightly on a diagonal. And you're. Actually gon na go a little farther back than you think you need to, especially at the beginning. Then bring in hair. Just like I showed you on the first side.. I think it looks best when you bring in smaller sections rather than larger sections. And as you're doing this, you want to make a crescent shape. That goes back about two to three inches from your ear and then comes forward., ( upbeat, instrumental music ). To finish this, one, I'm actually gon na leave all the hair from the nape of my neck out of this twist and I'm gon na secure the rest of the hair with an elastic. ( upbeat, instrumental music ). Then I'm going in and massaging and loosening things up, just as I did on the first side. For the more advanced way to finish this off, I'm going to wrap all the hair from the nape of my neck around my pigtail.. This might happen a lot lower than your hair elastic. That'S fine! You want to do it loosely and then pin up and into the pigtail once or twice to hold it in place.. Then, if your hair elastic is still visible like mine, you can take some of that loosened up twist and pull it over the elastic and then pin it in place. There. And that's how we pin the elastic and how we get the super twisted. Look throughout the entire pigtail., And once that's done, this hairstyle is complete.. I love this. It'S super quick. It'S easy! It'S a really grown-up way to wear pigtails and I think it's beautiful., So you guys should definitely give it a try.. Send me pictures if you do I'd love to see. And that's it for today's video I'll, see you guys next Saturday with my next hair tutorial and be sure to check back on Wednesday for a bonus, video. I'll, see you then mwah bye,

I started twisting my hair and grabbing more while taking all my hair away from my face and thought hey, that's so easy and cute! let´s wear it at school! my school teacher loved it and asked me how I did it, of course when I did it I never saw it anywhere and just "invented it" on the spot, I showed her cuz she wanted to do it to her daughter, that is so funny to see a tutorial on that! of course other people thought of the same, I am not saying I invented it but it reminded me of my highschool years.. thanks for the tutorial Kayley! good memories for me there! xD I love your videos by the way!

So thank you so much for all the hairstyles and the tips. I love your channel. In other subject. Have you seen Supergirl? The show of CW (last season of CBS)? I love it. It has great tips of life for girls. It's awesome. Also I love the hair of Supergirl. When she is Supergirl she has a standard hair but when she is Kara Danvers she has so many hairstyles for go to and office or life. I hope you can check it out and show us how she does a few of those. (Some of them you already had) thank you so much. Love your channel.

HappyThoughts: As someone with naturally super straight, thick hair (not one wisp of wave or curl) and who’s hair refuses to curl - these are super cute with straight hair.
