Hello guys and welcome back to my channel so today I have an updated curly hair tutorial for you guys. This has been so highly requested on my channel, so I wanted to deliver it any time I wear my hair curly I've been getting so many questions on my Instagram, especially because my hair texture is definitely slowly improving, as you guys will notice a lot of the Blond parts of my hair are definitely fried still but they're getting a lot better and then, of course, at the root as well. My natural hair texture is picking up it's springing up and yeah. I just wanted to share with you guys: what's changed, not that much has changed, but I just wanted to run through the whole routine, including the washing routine. So if you're interested in this color hair tutorial, then just keep on watching so pretty much when it's washday. This is the condition of what my hair ends up. Looking like end up tie my hair, a lot towards the end of like when my hair's getting to the point. Where needs to be washed, so it ends up being really pulled apart and just looking dry and we just need to hydrate it so pretty much. This is what everything is looking like. I just wanted to show you guys as well as you could see pretty much. What the color is looking like right now, I would say the like top half portion of my head is virgin hair and then the rest has still been bleached about twice two three times now. So a lot of the ends are still really damaged and they don't curl the same as my roots. I am planning on getting it recolored, but at the moment I'm just getting it trimmed and I'm just trying to get the really dead parts to be off and then, when I get it recolored I'm gon na try and do it gradually. So I don't damage my curls as much so for the wash portion. What I like to do personally is make sure that my head is completely wet before I do any shampooing. So I just like to run my head under warm water. I don't usually wear makeup by the way I'm gon na be using the Maui moisture coal, quench, coconut oil shampoo, and I really like this one, because it's really inexpensive and I've been repurchasing a lot of Maui, Moisture products or curly hair. It'S really important for shampoo to be free of sulfates and silicones and just a lot of bad stuff in it, and this is really inexpensive and it's just really quite natural for a shampoo, and I just really like it. It'S very gentle, and it's just perfect for so I'm just gon na be rinsing this out, and usually I do two shampoos just to make sure that my scalp is really clean because I usually wash my hair once a week and that works really well. For me. Personally, now the most important thing: that's really changed my hair texture and really allowed it to be so much curlier has definitely been hydration and that definitely comes in the form of masks or leave-in treatments, and that kind of thing, so I don't usually use actual conditioner. I will usually use masks, and these are the two masks I really like today, I'm going to be using the body shop one, but I also really like the shy about one that I just showed as well. So I like to do is just squeeze all the water out and then apply this into my hair and put a head wrap on and heat it up. That'S one of the best ways to allow this to soak into the hair. Sometimes, if I'm at home all day I'll leave this in my hair, but the most important thing about hair masks that you don't want them to dry. So I have a plastic bag, just a regular plastic bag. Underneath my hair wrap and then I'm going to be using the hot setting or warm setting on a hair dryer and just allowing the head wrap to warm up. And this is just a really good technique to allow it to slowly heat up and just to quicken the process and to allow this product to really sink into the hair. Deeply. Usually I like to leave this in my hair for at least 20 minutes as well as heating up a little bit, and I will rinse it out using a wide tooth comb just to get through any knots and also to prevent any breakage. Now, once it's rinsed out its now scrunched, I'm scrunching is so important, especially for my particular hair type. Now I really like to use my head wrap to do this, because I believe it's microfiber, it's just really soft. You can use a t-shirt. I just wouldn't use a regular towel because it does make the hair frizzy and it can cause breakage if you have really weak hair. So I like to use a microfiber towel or head wrap moving on to products. One of the first products that I like to use is usually between these two. I love both of these and they're both from OGX, but I believe that the blue one is actually only available in the US by pick mine up from Amazon and the type of product I like to use. First in my hair is something very, very hydrating. So personally, for my hair type, these are very hydrating, they're, not heavy, and they don't even residue on the hair. Now, for me, it's really important that the first product that I you isn't too oily it's not too heavy and that it will actually soak in otherwise. I find that my curls would just be kind of like drag down and they won't spring up as much, because I need to apply quite a lot of this first initial product into my hair. I have found that this initial process before I start drying is the most important and it definitely sets the tone for how my hair is gon na, be when it's actually dry. So, as you can see, there's a lot of scrunching. I am scrunching this product into my hair and I am applying a lot until it's it's already very wet, but obviously it's got a lot of product in it as well, and then I will take the microfiber head wrap again and I will use that to actually Scrunch, their hair to pick up any excess product, and this really helps. I don't know if you guys can see it, but you can always see it immediately that the cars already starting to take form - and I just find that this helps so much. This has really helped to really define my hair so much and then once I've done this a little bit and it's a little bit drier and a lot of that really damp feeling is taken away. I want apply a little bit more product and then it will be time to diffuse. Also a reoccurring theme that you'll see come up. A lot is that I flip my hair to each side upside down round and round so many times, and that's because it's really important to make sure that not only is the product reaching every strand of hair, not just the bottoms, but also the tops of your Hair, but also that you are drying from every angle that you're making your hair look as volumizer as possible. So it's really important to move your head around and I do like to go back and forth into that first cream product that I'm using just to make sure that it's keeping my hair, nice and hydrated as I am doing the drying process rather than just applying It once and then diffusing it and it just getting dry and then also the frizziness kind of pick up again. I personally find that applying a little bit more product and slowly applying it, it kind of helps it to be a little bit less frizzy. If that makes sense so again having my head up this time, I'm just using the microfiber towel or head wrap again and just using it to again soak up the excess product soak up any excess water. As I am scrunching it, and you can really see the curls now beginning to take place now, as my hair is dry and as I'm continuing on with this process, you guys are going to start to notice that there are certain strands in my hair that refused To call and that's because they have been completely damaged by bleed now, some people would probably just like cut these off, but I'm just slowly trimming my hair and, as I get my hair colored again, I have learnt my lesson to do it gradually. I have learnt my curls have learnt. I personally don't like to use too many hair products at a time like I like to keep it to three products. Maximum and one of my favorites is this one from diva curl and again this isn't available in the UK. But I get it on Amazon, so I will leave some links down below where you can find them. But Divakar is a really really great brand and they do some great stuff. So I'm just taking this cream product and it's another cream a little bit more of a heavy duty cream. So it's definitely thicker and I can feel that it definitely gives the carl's more structure than the first cream. The first cream is a little bit more about hydration, this one still hydrates, but it allows the curls to take their form a little bit more final product that I like to use is usually something that really helps the curls to be more defined. I'M gon na be using a red, can curvaceous I've been using this for years, and I absolutely love this so anything that can get a little bit harder once it's dry. I leave it towards the end just because if your hair is getting harder, when it's still damp, it will be harder for the curls to release spring up and it will kind of drag it down. It definitely does depend on your natural hair. Texture everyone's Col type is different, so the type of products how heavy they are it all kind of, is trial and error, and it does depend on your actual hair type. This is the method that I have found is really working for me by I'm gon na keep adapting it and advancing my routine, and I will always do an update a tutorial if you guys want me to, and definitely when my hair texture improves even more honestly, Every single time I wash my hair, I feel, like my hair, texture gets curlier and just better and better and better. So I would definitely do an updated one and I will keep you guys updated, but hopefully the little tips and tricks I've. Given you in this, video really helps your hair texture, however curly or wavy it may be. Naturally, it will just help to advance it and just make it feel even better, and also something that's been really helping for me is that I've been shaking and really spreading out the curls at the root, and it's definitely helping with the volume too. So honestly, I think this is the the condition might has ever been in it's harder to see the cause at the root because they're a lot darker, but my hair is slowly transforming and getting even curly. Ah, and just from the root down the cause are so springy and I'm just I'm obsessed, so I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial. If you did, please give a thumbs up. Let me know if you want more curly hair related videos. If you want to see curly, hairstyles and that kind of stuff, let me know down in the comments but, like I said before, the results for your specific hair type will vary. It really does depend. Some people may get waves. Some people may get tight, curls loose. Curls some people may get the tiniest little curls. It'S honestly depends on your individual hair tie anyway. Thank you guys for watching. I hope you enjoy it, and I will see you all in the next video next Monday. Bye

Leyla Rose: hey guys, I really hope you enjoy this video! as I've mentioned in previous hair tutorials, these methods have helped my curls to become more defined and the more I use them the more shocked I get at my hair transforming. if you have looser curls or waves, this will still help to reduce frizz and improve the texture the more you stick to it! if you have pin straight hair, this may not be for you lol! but whatever texture you have, this will help to get that bouncier and frizz free effect :) x

kate: First step: have naturally curly hair

Maggie Hardy: Love the curls!! Absolutely beautiful!

BehindTheSeaa310: My hair looks EXACTLY like this texture. Finally a hair routine I could get some tips from!

Odalis Maldonado: Broooo her curls are my dream curls definitely doing this

The Curvy Cuban: You and your hair is absolutely gorgeous as usual! I wish my hair would curl like that! Keep up the great content!

Kara: I had curly hair when I was younger. I have straightened it almost every day for 8 years. This is honestly helping me get them back, thank you!

Hattie Taylor: So gorgeous I’m currently growing out a clipper cut (ya know, emotional breakdown head shaving) and I MISS my big long curly hair. I’ve been trying to find a routine to help improve my curls, also, because since having a baby, my hair started to lose some of its curl at the roots. Thank you for this! Hopefully it will help my hair.

Rachel Guzman: Love your style girl!! Thanks for the video...Ive been leaving my hair curly lately so I'm not damaging it with heat every day.. I will be doing this routine.

Maryam Saleem: Your hair is so beautiful I’m so inspired to now look after my hair properly, my hair very long (past my bum) and it’s such a chore trying to care for it. After seeing your results I’m definitely going to care for it more and hopefully i will see more definition in my hair

Lesmi Silva: Could you do a video on how you refreshen your curls between washes!

Charlie Hooleyy: Thankyou for this! My hair texture is the exact same and I could never wear it natural because i didn’t know how to control the frizz! I’ve been here since your hair routine a few years back and love that you update it ❤️

hot kebab: Thank you for the video Leyla!!! We have a similar hair texture and I want to treat my curls good and want them to be healthy (although I highkey prefer it straightened) so I'm going to catch on your routine :)

Jasmine: my hair is half straight, half curly. i have no idea how to works.

Hadjer Hood: i started to wear my natural curly hair thanks to you Leyla! and it's been already a year and i'm really loving it!! i think we even have the same hair texture but the trick is to let your hair diffuse for a good amount of time and your curls will be curlier than ever thats my tip i think you should try it too, Love youuu <3

Emily Bieber: could you male a video on how you refresh and style your curls throughout the week? love you lots❤️❤️

Santa Nino: I literally bought all these products that you used on your last hair video , i LOVE them! Makes my curls look so much healthier ❤️

Sierra Meriedeth: Just some tips from your fellow curly girl! (I saw some things that you shouldn't do and will make your hair curlier and less frizzy) 1. Apply your products while your hair is soaking wet. Your hair will thank you. It won't make any frizz go away if you simply apply while your hair is already starting to dry 2. If you aren't air drying, diffuse your roots first before your ends. If you dry your ends first, because the curl starts at the root, they will fall apart and possibly uncurl depending on your curl pattern 3. Don't touch/scrunch your hair while it's drying/ while you're diffusing. It will cause a lot of frizz. I do this because I want the curliest hair possible but as long as your hair is soaking wet, and curly, it'll work, I promise you. 4. Don't shake out your curls until your hair is completely dry. (A good way to find out if it's fully dry is if it isn't somewhat cold to the touch when you touch it, after about 15 seconds away from the hair dryer). They will fall apart if you shake your roots while they're wet. 5. Apply your product in sections. Yes, you did get each of your strands pretty well, but applying them in sections will allow you to be more precise. For instance, maybe the back of your head is frizzier naturally, so you apply more product to those sections. If i think of any more I'll add some.

Tiffiny: Oh my god why are you so gorgeous!!! I have naturally really curly hair but I've never been able to figure out how to define them properly. I've always been told my hair can naturally look like yours but I've never done it myself. Thank you!!!

Jeanmarie Perez: you should definitely do more curly hair videos!

Duck: the 25 ppl who dislikes this video have straight hair.

Denise Martín: Hey Leyla! I've loved your tutorial I find it really useful. Thank for that video!

Lynzi Aileen: I tried this and it works amazingly thank youuuu

Chantel Ceylan: Yes been looking for a good curly hair routine ✨

Lamphia Alonso: Damn, your hair looks amazing! I've been trying to finally take care of my hair, is at bob-lenght rn but the back of It (the only healthy part lol) looks a lot like your texture (front looks like 2b waves due to constant straightening, I never had enough hair in the back to do the same) and I surely hopes it grows to be that beautiful mane. I think you didnt say It in the video, is your hair fine, high-porosity...? I wanna try those products but my hair is rlly fine rn and I'm worried they might weight it down

Jamie Monroe: So Gorgeous!!! I use to do my hair like this all the time but I use hair gel and hair spray. My hair is to my butt and I have straight hair. Thanks for sharing how you do this!

Frances Keller: It has improved so much and looks beautiful❤️❤️❤️

bethvicxo: Thanks for this video! Really helpful

Crystal #RL: Love your curls they remind me of mine... I've watched many videos looking for someone with my curl type and you are the closest. Your beautiful thanks!

nicole angelina: i have a very similar problem w my bleached curls.. something that really helped my damage was Olaplex No3!! after just one use my bleached curls were as curly, shiny, and voluminous as my virgin hair growing in :)

Kathie: Definitely would love to see some curly hair hairstyles

Julesglamnana Weinberger: Love your curls! Wish I had beautiful curls like you.

D0nT 3v3n tRy: Also, something that could help is sleeping with ur wet hair, or half dried/wet hair, though u must scrunch it before u sleep. When u wake up u will have naturally curled hair (Make sure to add some sort of cream or oil to avoid dryness and frizziness when u wake up)

Sara H: Please do more curly hair videos!!! That was one of the main reasons I subscribed to your channel.

Madiha Hendricks: Hi Leyla! I've been watching al ot of curly hair videos over the years and following people who follow the Curly Girl Method and I've found that people use Olaplex salon treatment when they dye their hair and then use the at home treatment Olaplex no.3 (or something) once a month or every 2 weeks (depending on what their hair condition is like) and this really helps to keep their hair curly even when bleaching. Another thing is finger coiling the stubborn damaged pieces when its still quite damp and after you've smoothed the product in, can really help form the curl. Anyway good luck with your curls! :)

DJK Khadija: My curls used to be like this until I started straightening it too much, and now my hair just dries straight oops xx

HtayHtay Crazy: When I was younger my hair was really curly but then I kept straightening my hair and then it got damaged and now it’s just wavy

chloe uliano: yes yes yes i’ve been waiting!! ty ty leyla, i’ve been getting sick of straightening my hair

Taylor Mae: Oh my gosh! I finally found someone with my hair! I love this. Thank you so much!

Olivia G: I love this soooooo much my hair is naturally curly and now it is so much curlier thanks 10/10 recommended

Sara: Hi girl! I am working on creating a tool to allow women to scrunch their hair with less effort. I have a few questions to guide the development of the product 1. I was wondering what your big pain points are when it comes to scrunching hair? 2. On average, how long do you scrunch your hair? 3. Why do you scrunch your hair - how does it benefit your hair? 4. What would you expect from a hair scrunch tool (besides the basic functionality)? You can speak to design, functions, ergonomics etc. Would love to hear everyones feedback!

Brittany Ferguson: Ouuu someone’s been watching natural/curly hair videos! You did a wonderful job and your hair is thanking you :)

Manabaye: You inspired me to do tutorials ♥️ you’re so beautiful

Kaitlyn Connolly: I have a hate/love with my straight hair. I love it because it’s easy to brush, easy to wash, and I can braid it easier. I hate it because straight hair gets boring, and my curly haired friends hair is so pretty and I wish I had it like theirs.

It's Liz: Sometimes I wished i had curly hair , you look so pretty with your hair ❤

Angeliki Tk: I have 2c 3a curls and this routine helped a lot❤️

lovejim77: I always use a hair mask as my leave-in conditioner, then a pump and 1/2 of the Deva Curl Coconut Cream on my scalp and then Redkin's beach waves spray. I have gorgeous and ringlet curls.

Toni Shipp: I’ve always loved your hair curly!!! ❤️

Thilendree Govender: I use that blue hair product It works wonderfully and helps keep in my curls for longer

Natalie Martinez: Hope this makes my 1c/2a hair wavier because I just love curly hair and I have scrunched my hair before to bring out the wave in my hair and I honestly love how it looks more than my normal 1c/2a hair thx for this video

Mia Henderson: Hi leyla! My hair seems very similar to yours and I love a lot of the same products as you but my curls often flatten and fall out over night meaning I only get one day of my hair looking good curly. How do you keep your curls in overnight?? Xx

Isabel: Hi Leyla, one question. Do these same steps apply to dry hair or does the hair always have to be wet before using these steps. Hoping to get a response

Sapphire Co’rynn: Your curls are so beautiful!

tina pedirn: My hair exactly! Love the idea to keep scrunching with the microfiber!!

Victoria Mccall: This helped so much I have hair exactly like yours and I could never figure out what to do because my baby hairs are always really really small tight curls I want it like that but I’m putting it in buns all the time doesn’t help so I will be doing this instead of that now

Sidra Castillo: This makes me wanna start scrunching my hair again it's been years

Crowdible: *People if you wanna have curly hair over night do this super easy hair style I’m about to tell IT WORKS and that’s how I curl my hair* do a ponytail not to tighten because you wanna sleep with it then you are going to do a second wrap BUT don’t take all your hair out leave it in a halfway and you are ready to sleep super simple TRY IT it going to look like a bunny tail and that’s how you know you are done. And you have your curls over night

Shaannon D: Love your hair!! I have three girls and my youngest(3) was the only one to come out with curly hair. Would you recommend these products for her age or if not what would you recommend?
