Hey everyone how you doin, if you are new here, I'm Nicole Concilio and welcome to the video y'all. So if you know me - and I just made a statement about it on my Twitter and on my insta stories the other day, I am beyond self-conscious about my hair. I'Ve honestly always had like thinner hair. I'Ve always had like kind of damaged hair. From always doing it blonde and stuff like that, and I feel like lately since I had to really over process my hairs, you get that blue-green out. I have been getting like even more annoying comments about my hair, so I figured let's turn this annoyance into an educational, video. Okay, I'm gon na show you basically how I style my damaged dehydrated gross hair, okay y'all. Today'S video, you know, if you can't laugh at yourself man, if you can't laugh at yourself, I'm gon na basically show you all my tips and tricks, and yes, I have no makeup on, but I figured you know what I'm already being hella vulnerable with my hair. Like this, so let's just be 100 % real. Let'S just be a hundred percent authentic in this, and today's video is going to be sponsored by igk hair. They are one of my favorite hair brands and actually one of the only hair brands that I am like hella loyal to and just love working with them, and I use them like crazy and I'm just so excited to be able to have my first hair sponsorship. Y'All here on my channel cuz, I don't do hair on my channel, but I you know we were talking and I was just saying like you know how self-conscious I am about my hair these days and we figured like this is just a perfect fit and also Thank you to you guys for always being so cool and awesome about my sponsorships. I really appreciate it and you know what it helps me feed my dogs, so thank you so much and also make sure you stay tuned for the end of this video. When I'm done, I'm going to be revealing a huge giveaway for you guys that it's pretty frickin awesome, so I'm excited for that. So make sure you watch this whole video yo. So one of my biggest problems is like, even though my skin is very dry. My scalp gets very oily, like you can see up here, it's very like shiny, looking and obviously the ends of my hair are like very damaged right now, but we will regrow okay, we will regrow, but I have just a naturally greasy scalp and it doesn't matter Like I literally could wash my hair right now and come on camera and it'll still look kind of greasy, so most of the products we are going to be talking about today is specifically designed for dry shampoo, because one of the worst things that you can do In my opinion is wash your hair a lot and then you have to put a lot of heat on it. You have to style it. You got to do this. You got to do that, so I really try my best to only wash my hair, maybe three or four times a week like. I know that may be gross to some people, but if you are a blonde and have damaged hair, you get it. You understand it. You know where I am coming from: okay huntys also there trimming my trees outside my yard. So if you hear a little chainsaw action, I'm really sorry y'all, I'm really sorry. Hopefully this room is soundproof enough that you can't hear it, but I can definitely hear it. So I don't know if my microphones picking it up - hopefully not so the first product, I'm gon na talk to you guys about, and I'm almost out of this one literally this one's my favorite, I think out of all of them. This is the first class charcoal detox dry shampoo, and this is definitely for those days where, like maybe it's been about three days since you washed your hair, this is gon na, be your best friend. It'S a heavy-duty dry shampoo that basically allows you to go even longer in between your washes and if you have damaged hair, like your girl, you're gon na want to get this honestly. In my opinion, this has saved my hair so much I get so anxious. Every time I get out of the shower and have to like blow-dry my hair and do my hair, it just makes me so anxious, and this right here has really been helping with the growth and like the breakage of my hair, because I haven't had to like Get in there and scrub it and style it as much as I would have had to without it charcoal power, it absorbs the dirt on your hair and like any buildup that you may have from like natural oil production or anything like that. It just kind of like absorbs it all, and it also has white tea powder, which I recently found out like actually helps strengthen your hair and it smoothes your scalp as well, and I'm gon na show you guys how to apply these dry shampoos. However, I figured like, let's just go through each one, because igk does have a lot of dry shampoos, so they're definitely catered to all different types of hair. So this one is definitely perfect for those days where, like your hair, has just had it and you can't wash it yet. The next dry shampoo that they have is the direct flight and this one has matcha in it, and I am obsessed with macho' you guys. Like the other day, I had this matcha lemonade and it was probably one of the best things I've ever tasted. In my life and this one is more of like a multitasking dry shampoo, it has matcha in it charcoal tumeric and 3 % active cleansers. This is more for like moderately oily hair, so like for me, when I don't wash my hair, my scalp will get so oily, especially right around here at my roots, this right here is the worst part for me. I find myself resonating a little bit more with the first class, but this is also good for, like maybe like one day old, hair, two day old hair. It doesn't have to be like that extreme, it's kind of more for like when you want to keep your hairstyle going, but don't really want to like have to go shower it again. It kind of just like helps with volume and like keeps everything, nice and fluffy, and then the last dry shampoo, I have to show you guys - is a jet lag, this one's really cool cuz. It contains a volcanic ash. This one, I would recommend for, like maybe a 24 hour use for me, my hair falls very flat, and I think that also kind of as a side effect for having this like oily part that I get it's more like a gentle cleanse. It doesn't have any powder residue or anything like that, and it also has one percent active cleansing powders and now allow me to demonstrate how you use this. So since my hair is only like a day and a half old, I'm going to be using the jet lag, but just know that if I had to pick a favorite out of these, it would definitely be the first class. And that is just because, like my scalp gets very oily, my hair is hella damaged. Right now got to do what I can to make this puppy fluff up and like just be natural again and be nice. The way I like to do it is, I will first spray the actual root itself. Now, not everybody likes to do that. I like to do that because I feel like that's where you see the most shine out of everything, so I'm gon na just lightly spray. It like this and then let it simmer, don't touch it yet. Next, what I'm gon na do is I like to use my pinkies to kind of separate my hair and flip it over? So I am going to start to separate my hair flip it over and spray right at the root, and you want to be like about an arm's length away this one you're not gon na get a powdery residue, so you can be a little bit closer, but I like to do a rule of thumb, of just being like about an arm's length away and just spraying it there. Next, I'm gon na use my pinky fluff her up again get in this area and also me having my damaged hair means that it kind of just falls wherever it wants, so don't mind that also letting it in there picking it up and getting this last kind Of piece in the corner, I also find - and I don't know if this is like a claim that igk has or anything, but I also find that dry shampoo helps give me a lot of volume, since my hair is hella dead right now, I need all the Volume that I can get and you can kind of see, even just comparing it to this side, what having all that dry shampoo in there will do like you, can see a huge difference in the volume. So now I'm gon na do this side and I'm gon na zoom you guys on in so you can get a better closer look! Hey all right! Now, let's to this side, I'm gon na pinky her get nice sections. The key to this is to having like, as even of a section as you possibly can and just spraying it right there get up and spraying it in every angle. Somebody can like see the volume and ads for me. Oh [, __ ]. I live for volume and then we could just go ahead and do the back and I'll kind of turn around for you guys. So you can see. Hopefully it comes out okay, but yeah. Basically, you want to do like all sections of your hair just keep on section in it, and then I haven't rubbed anything in yet I kind of like to let my dry shampoo sit a little bit before. I rub it in so now. You'Re gon na want to do is just take your fingers and kind of like rub your whole scalp rub everything everywhere, where you sprayed you're gon na rub it. I even rubbed my part up here. I do all of that you're gon na look kind of crazy at first, but you know what you got to make sure your dry. Shampoo is really blended in, and you can see like my at the top of my hair, already looks so much more matte, which is something that I need for my roots. So then, I'm just gon na take a brush and kind of brush out my hair. Oh yeah, and you want to be gentle with brushing I kind of like to brush from like the bottom up and also every now and then I feel like if I have like Bed Head or anything like that. Another trick I like to do is before I go to bed I'll. Do that whole thing with dry shampoo, so it kind of eliminates Bed Head and then even before I work out I'll, make sure I hit myself with some dry shampoo cuz. Listen! I work out like almost every single day and I don't want to have to wash my hair every single day. I'M sorry like call me gross call me disgusting whatever you want, but it's just the facts. You know so now that we have this kind of, like all in I'm gon na, show you how I kind of like straighten my hair, get the edges where I need them to be the ends. Obviously it's looking very dry and feeling very dry, and there is another igk product that I do want to mention that I feel like has been saving my life, and this isn't even like part of like anything like this is just me genuinely loving this product. Okay, so another tip I want to mention is to keep whatever tool you are using on low heat. This puppy can go all the way up to 425. I currently have it on 340. My hair really straighten, if I don't have it like at least at that, so what I like to do is kind of like focus at the top and then go very quickly at the ends. Like quick, quick, like you know what I mean, because we've got to be careful, got ta, be very careful. Usually my roots are good like I could spend a little bit more time around my roots. It'S just the ends where it's kind of like you want to make sure it's really fast and you don't want to keep heat on it for a very long time. That'S where I have my breakage. That'S where my split ends are. That'S where everything is honestly. So I just like to keep it very quick, moving very quickly with the whole scenario in general - and I know my hair is looking a little bit dry at the ends, and that is also why I want to mention this other igk hair product, because it really Has been helping me and helping me with my confidence too, because, like honestly, I'm really at a point where I'm so self-conscious of my hair and igk has helped me out a lot with that, and I know a lot of people were asking me. You know why don't you get extensions extension, isn't gon na fix the problem? You know what I mean. Yes, it'll look better, but it's not gon na fix the actual problem and I've had extensions in my hair for a really long time. I did the keratin bonded. I had those [ __ ] in for, like I want to say over a year and a half. I think my hair just needs a really good break from a lot of things, but yeah I find keeping it on very low heat and fast on. The ends is the way to go the way to be the key to success, and also you guys like if you have damaged hair blonde hair. Like me, don't be ashamed, I mean I'm self-conscious of it. I am like I can't deny that, but also at the end of the day, it's hair and it'll grow back. You know, so I wanted to give you guys a little. You know before and after type of thing, so you could see like the dry shampoo. It really gave my hair that volume in that life even down here and even at my roots, like it, feels so much better. There'S not that, like oily shine in the middle anymore, like it really looks nice in my opinion, I'm sure there'll be some people that are like, but it definitely looks a lot better than what we were working out with in the beginning. Okay, I'm gon na. Do the other half of my hair off camera and then be right back to show you the last product that I really love and also talked about the giveaway see now my hair looks so nice like it looks so like manageable, it doesn't look as damaged and Then my last thing is what I do is so my ends are very dry and they're very, like you know what I mean like spongebob when he's like water would be nice, like that's what they're like. So I wanted to talk about this. It'S speechless: dry, oil, finishing spray for hair and body also from igk. I freaking love this product and I really just concentrated on my ends like saturate, this [ __ ]. You know what I mean cuz it just. It just adds that shine back to my hair and it's been helping me feel a little bit more confident for sure, especially on my ends. Cuz, you know shine on your ends is fine. It'S shine on the route that your girl doesn't want, so just spraying it and now drumroll time for the giveaway details, and this giveaway is for us only. You will get a first-class ticket to Miami a full igk collection, a cut and color at a Miami salon plus Masser and dynamics pod, and this would be taking place March 11th through the 22nd, and this is with igk, hair x. Birdie. So make sure you check out my Instagram posts for all of the rules. I love you guys so much. Thank you so much for watching. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and I hope it really helped some of you who are also self-conscious about your hair. I love you guys so much. Thank you so much for watching and I will see you next time. Bye,

Zaina Q: i kinda feel like you should dye your hair a mediumish brown like your roots. over a while, i think your hair will definitely become healthier because constantly bleaching your hair is really damaging and if you give your hair a break i think it’ll help!! but girl just so you know, you could definitely rock any hair color!

Rikikita: Damaged hair but flawless skin... god is fair lol

Gisselle Flores: Why do ppl complain about having their hair damaged and still continue to damage it?

butterflymeaway23: There’s no real solution to split ends and damaged hair like that except to cut it. No matter what products say and do to hydrate .

thicc cums: “idk why my hair is dead” *uses excessive amount of dry shampoo* *blowdries and puts heat on it several times a week* *washes 5 times a week*

Julie Arrieta: Shit 3-4 times a week is a lot for me. I only wash mine once MAYBE twice.

Réka Németh: Anyone else literally screaming at her for not using a heat protective spray???

Shannon Finn: Start rockin' the messy bun!! No heat, wash 2-3 let your hair soak up your natural oils. You gotta let your hair breathe girl !

Jacqueline Ciulla: Olaplex and frequent trims will nurse your hair back to health and shine also put down the flatiron ! You need Pureology strength cure conditioner! IGK Is great for styling but not for hair treatment and fixing! I’m a hairstylist sorry for all the info but though it could help

Stephyfra 12: Stop dying it girl! Cut it shorter and do deep conditioning 3x week. Don't straighten it if possible let it air dry. I'm a hair dresser and you can change your hair as long as your willing to change your habits of how you take care of it

Cassandra Eremic: Babe I feel for you :( I went from box dye black hair to silver to back to dark brunette to an ombré and my hair was toassssttt. The only things and I mean ONLY things that have helped to replenish my hair and restart the growing process were the Olaplex Hair Perfecter No. 3 and castor oil (I personally love to mix some in with my shampoo). Hope this helps anyone else who might feel hopeless with their hair!! :)

Melanie Lee: Girl, dye that hair your natural-ish color... Protective style it... Go HAM on some wigs and treatments and you'll be back ready to start over in no time

Selena Maree: Washing 3/4x a week is A LOT with damaged hair! With color treated/damaged hair you should be washing 1/2x a week!

Becca Summers: I love how real you are in this video!!! Everybody has their insecurities and how they go about taking care of their hair!! You go girl for being vulnerable!

Gillian Mayster: I feel for you, I'm literally in the same boat and so self conscious about my short damaged hair from having extensions for hella years but this vid gave me the confidence I needed to let my hair go natural and i guess start over lmao. So thank you :) <3

Hayley Pinson: I really appreciate you doing this, I bleached my hair and did pink for years and at one point I thought I was balding I cried almost everyday and would swear it was falling out. But I stopped using heat at all and wash it every 4 days and it helped so much!! This is awesome ❤️

Lisa Biernacki Cameron: I love how freakin real you are ! How you can laugh at yourself and how genuine you are. Who cares what those mean people say about your hair !! I’m sure they’re insecure about something themselves but aren’t going to admit to it on social media like you did. That takes balls to do. My hair is pretty comical. I’m platinum blonde. Naturally blonde but went platinum about a year ago. So I have to take precautions myself when it comes to heat too. Now when I let it air dry ? Let me tell ya! I look like a frizzy poodle. I have kinky curly hair underneath and a straight frizzy wave for my top layers . I too have been self conscious of it. I had beautiful poker straight hair as a kid. Then this frizzy shit happened in my early 20’s. But on my days off from work and if I’m not going anywhere I give my hair a break. Nothing touches it except for a detangler brush. And that has done amazing things for my hair too. I keep it in a lob style because I have found that to be a simple style to upkeep and the longer my hair gets the drier I feel it is.

mks176: GIRL! First off your skin looks unreal! You’re so beautiful. Secondly go back to your natural color!! I think brunette would look SOOOO good on you!!!! Ps I love the igk dry shampoos so much too

Lindsey Robertson: I’m with you on the damaged hair probs struggle. My hair is so dry and lifeless that the curl has fallen out in places so if I don’t flat iron or curl it, it looks horrible, but the heat damages it worse. It’s a vicious cycle. I use a lot of hydrating oils in my hair before I blow dry and I find that it helps a lot to make my hair feel silky and look shiny. I love the Biosilk Therapy Lite!

Adriana Torres: I feel you . When I was in high school, my hair was so damaged and dry. I would dye my hair twice a month and used hot tools every day. My aunt is a hairstylist and when she saw how damaged my hair was she said “ I’m sorry we need to cut that!”. I have thick curly hair and never knew how to style it. I grew up with everyone around me having straight and thin hair. After I cut my hair I decided to stop dying it and stopped using hot tools and OMG! My curls came back and my hair grew so healthy. I learned how to love my curly/tick hair. I also struggled with oily hair but it was because of all the wrong products I was using. Now I only wash my hair 2-3 times a week and it does not get as oily as before. I don’t use dry shampoo at all.

SamanthaNicole: I’m in the process of going blonde again from long virgin hair that took me a long time to grow out after many crazy colors. I have naturally dark drown hair and an oily scalp. First, I’ve found that olaplex no 3 has saved my hair after each process. Second, I have naturally wavy hair and olaplex and deep conditioners have allowed me to keep my waves/curls healthy so I can work with my air dried hair. I avoid heat damage as much as possible bc the bleaching is enough damage. I also use a mouse that doesn’t contain lots of alcohol so it doesn’t dry out my hair but helps define my curls more. I say all of this bc it’s seems like you have some naturally wavy or maybe curly texture and I think trying to work with your natural texture instead of heat styling, even if at low temps or rare, may help you hair healing process more. I’d love to see you with some fun textured hair! (You can always touch up curls with a wand)

Olivia Nielsen: You’re skin looks INCREDIBLE!!! Also have you tried Tati’s Halo supplements?

Desiree Spencer: No make up..."damaged hair" still a freaking 12/10!!!!! ❤️

Rachel Richards: I’ve always had really damaged thin hair and I started taking biotine vitamins and it’s made my hair so much thicker and healthier I deff recommend

Madison LeAnn: I respect you so much for being so vulnerable and open with us! I’m the same way about my hair, it’s one of my insecurities and I have extremely oily roots. I only wash my hair about 1-2 times a week & use dry shampoo the rest of the time and it’s actually been helping my hair SO much. It’s grown quite a bit and I’m loving it. I also LOVE IGK so I appreciate you talking about them in this video! Congrats on the sponsorship.

Lyrette: Sis I feel ya! Had super thin hair since my childhood and dying it literally made my hair snap off. I have the greasiest hair and I *have to* wash it almost everyday, or I look like I just walked out of a pool of oils. THE STRUGGLE IS REAAAL

Heather: “I try to wash my hair 3-4 times a week,” me, on day four hair: oh.

Carlissa Neumann: You being so real and open helps alot of us! It is truly inspiring and takes a real leader to show their insecurites that most of us would not want to. I love this so much, makes me aware that other girls are real too and not always perfect

Nikki Jakoubek: ❤️❤️❤️❤️ great video, you’re SO beautiful and NEVER let anyone tell you otherwise!

Rachel French: Get a new hairdresser Get regular trims Stop bleaching, you’ll look great darker and will compliment your eyes more. Brave video from you, well done x

Brittany DeBord: Love your willingness to be real and share your insecurities with us, we love you for it!!!!!

Emily Wullstein: Everybody has insecurities! It’s super brave to showcase yours on such a large platform. You are beautiful and so strong.....those comments are just jealousy. Keep doing you sweet thang

Meghan Thornquist: You shouldn’t be self conscious hunty ❤️you are gorgeous and extremely talented! Don’t let people get to you☺️

Joy Israel: I fried my hair through coloring and excessively heat styling a couple years ago so trust me I have been there girl. I cut the damage off and started using heat less and it has worked wonders for my hair. If you don’t want to cut it just yet, use a water based leave-in conditioner on the ends and seal them with an oil when you notice they are feeling dry. You will see a major difference!

Jasmine Arthur: Girl I had so many problems with my hair until last year I finally got it healthy. I bleached the ends for like an ombré look and it damaged my hair so much and then the blonde turned green it was terrible! It took forever for it to be normal again and it is finally back to its natural color and growing again. It gets better I promise!

Amy Chloe: Thank you for making this video. I am in a similar boat after a salon bleaching fail. It really can shake your confidence, hoping our strands will recover soon ❤

Morgan Bratton: Girl!!! I’ve been there with my hair, it will get better. You are so damn beautiful with or without makeup.

Micaela Gabaglio: For five years my hair looked just like this, then I went back to my natural color... my advice is that you let it grow and don’t do anything damaging anymore (not even dryer). Use a wig or something like that for everyday

Victoria Vincenza: Ugh I had platinum hair for 7 years and I finally got fed up and shaved it all off lol! We all go thru it at some point girl still love ya!

Rachel Hathhorn: I hope you see this! You’re beautiful and biotin vitamins will definitely help your hair! It did wanders for me when I was in your situation

Valeria Rojas: Olapleeex girl! Also, washing your hair 4 times a week is not gross! I actually wash mine once a week only because if I wash it a lot it becomes very greasy, and also because I work out during the week so I keep it in a ponytail all week You're beautiful either way! ✨

Cindylynn: I relate to this so much! My hair looks worse when I get done blow drying it. Litterly takes me like 2 minutes to get it dry. Also has not grown in years. I wear extensions everyday bc I’m so insecure. But I love that your embracing it! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

vicky neira: Girl we’ve all been there please do not feel insecure!! It took me 3 years to grow my hair out and it used to look worse than yours sis!! Try coconut oil over night like once a week!! I also use olaplex shampoo and conditioner I think that definitely helped as well! I used 2000 hair masks and could never see a difference but I promise it’s all working it just takes awhile!

Daisy Brosi: Girl... THANK YOU for this video. I have the exact same hair and I'm so insecure about it. I see all these people with the longest prettiest hair and it makes me so sad :( it makes me feel better to know people like you have the same problems. You're not alone girl! Xoxo

Chloe Morgan: Thank you for being so vulnerable with us!!!! I have very thin hair and it became thin bc i damaged it so much with my flat iron (flat ironed it basically for 2 years straight everyday) I cut out all heat last year and got a trim and my hair looks so healthy now, were still thin but she looking a bunch better!!!!

suzan blaauw: Hey Nicol! I’ve been using the L’Oréal elvive 3 in one hairmask, the coconut one! It’s amazing! I use it on dry hair and my hair grows so fast and is very soft. You should definitly try it, and it’s so affordable. I just finished my second pot :)

Laura Colombo: I think if you cut down to 2 times a week to wash your hair it will help. Olaplex number 3 is a great treatment and u can leave it over night. Amazing results first time using it.

Kylie B: This was super refreshing to see, thanks for being so real!! Im a natural curly hair girl (im half black so its probably very different from yours, but it's very soft and just very curly) and I noticed that NEVER putting heat on my hair (I style with oils and mousse) and washing ONE time a week (I shower and condition daily but only wash with shampoo once or twice a week) has helped a LOT. I also used to do bleach-root touch ups and was platinum blonde from root to tip but I now do a shadow root and go 7-8 weeks between bleach as opposed to 4 weeks. My blonde is better healthier and more moisturized than ever and I have so many tips! I know this comment will probably get lost but if you or anyone else wants to know what I do to keep my super curly white blonde hair so healthy let me know :-) PS I know we have different styling techniques, I don't use heat and wear my hair natural but just letting you know some of my tips :-) I also used to flat iron my hair every single day in middle/high school and I have learned to LOVE my naturally curly hair and it loves me back for it lol

Lindsey Scates: This happened to my hair so I dyed it a darker red brown color that didn’t need as much maintenance & my hair is so much healthier. I’ve started only washing it about 2 times a week & letting it air dry. Not blow dry. It makes a big difference! ❤️

Vivian Davila Beauty Tips: Hey love! Use Brazilian blowout original keratin. It will fix the overprocessed hair. Will fill all that porosity and make your hair way stronger. You will be able to grow it long. That's what I use!

Pamela E. Moreno: Girl I have very OVER processed hair from going super blonde but it’s ok it’s just hair at the end of the day. Conditioners and leave ins are key

Carried Away: Oh no! I missed the giveaway! Nicole, you are amazing and gorgeous. We blondes do understand your hair. It looks fine and you’re right. That shit grows back. I remember I straightened my baby fine hair as a senior in high school with a “Soft & Beautiful” perm! It fell out in chunks and I thought I was going to die of embarrassment. It was so dry that when I picked up one hair, all of it came up together. SpongeBob for sure! Keep doing you, girl. We love it!

Kirstie: The mistress hydrating balm is my holy grail! I know that you took a lot of time to get that blonde but maybe a temporary or Demi-permanent darker shade would help your hair grow and recover.

KM 93: You're beautiful, damaged hair and all!!! I can't think of anyone with a better personality, and perfect eyebrows!!!! My hair is fried from bleach too. I feel you girl! It really sucks!!!

Olivia Ferrell: I love that you are able to turn something around to positive and laugh at yourself and make a video out of it to honestly help others in your situation too! ily you are so genuine!! ❤❤❤

rania hashem: Thank you for sharing this, I have similar hair and can relate to all the annoying comments from strangers giving me advice on how to fix my hair. I mean obviously I know that my hair is damaged you don't have to point it out.

Kelly Bond: I’m a licensed stylist and I would reaaaaallly recommend looking into asking your stylist about phbonder by redken. A lot of people are suggesting olaplex, which will repair a bit, but phbonder literally will prevent any breakage or damage to the hair which happens just by coloring. It is a two step system which is mixed in any lightener or color and also followed with a fiber mask before shampooing. I don’t do any of my clients without it especially those who are using lightener. I love that you came on here and told us all about your hair ❤️ love you girl! Thanks for being you ☺️

Lilly bug: I have damaged blonde hair also so I love seeing what heat can do to damaged hair to make it look so much better! Olaplex treatments help so much so does coconut oil a few times a week. I’ve been in your boat hair wise but worse lol. Good to see someone else actually goes through what I do.

Chelsea Muckey: Love that you shared this! I too am self conscious of my thin easily damaged hair. I want to get extensions so bad to thicken it up. Something that helps my fine, thin, oily hair a lot with dry shampoo, is to do it at night heavily and not comb it out and then in the morning your hair is much more fresh!

Debora Orme: We have exactly the same hair! And here's a fact: 3 years ago when I got my extensions taken out (I'm wearing clip ins in my profile pic) it was a photo of you I took into the salon for my cut and colour when you had shorter hair, this was before I was a subscriber just found you on Google!

Samantha Lowe: My hair is so damaged right now from bleach as well! I feel you. It’s a big insecurity of mine.

Stephyfra 12: A lot of people don't know this but dry shampoo dries out hair SO BAD. I learned this in school. Change your habits, change your hair lol My teacher always said that. Also DRINKING A LOT OF WATER HELPS DRY HAIR!!

Meghan Elinor: Awesome!!! Girl I was at your place a few years ago! Legit fried so bad that my hair was coming out in clumps. Dye it dark and stop using heat. I know its super hard considering youre in the business of looking great all the time. But you'll learn how to style it. Let it air dry in a braid or bun. And use olaplex!!!! You don't need to be blonde to use olaplex!! And cut back to washing to a max of 3x per week. Cut the dry shampoo too. It'll just dry your ends out as your natural oils can't reach the ends. Love ya babe!!!

Kiona Peters: Girl! I was my hair twice a week max...you have to train your scalp and it takes a few weeks till you can go that long between washes without looking dirty! But it helps your hair so much! Helped my blonde hair so much! worth a try! Luh you

Alicia Ann: Your hair still looks beautiful even if it’s damaged

Morganraae: Cant believe I was late to this vid!! Love you so much !!! Thank you for being so open about your insecurities it truly shows how much self love you have!

Cat With Wifi: Olaplex and hair masks are amazing for adding moisture back to dry ends - I really like Hask's wine inspired collection. I totally feel you on the oiliness, my hair produces a lot of oil than normal, but overusing dry shampoo can contribute to the oiliness.

Mariah: I have slightly damaged hair, and I just need to realize that it's beautiful. My waves/curls are amazing but I just have to realize that. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE having straight hair but it's time I backed down on the heat and recognized my natural beauty.

Haley Kendrick: I over bleached my hair a few years ago and it legit just came out in handfuls. I cried for hours then went to the store, bought 7 hats/beanies and a huge jar of coconut oil. It really helped nurse my hair back to health. . I just soaked my hair in it at night and wore a shower cap for a few weeks and that damaged look disappeared. Good luck sweetheart.

elixanpes: My hair used to be so damaged! I constantly dyed it and bleached it. After many years of damaged hair, I decided I wanted my old healthy hair back. I basically chopped off all the dead hair and started over. I'm so glad I did bc my hair is so long and healthy now and I love it!! I always use heat protection for my ends and get a trim every 3-6 months

Katrina Brando: Tbh your skin looks so glowy and eventoned

pnaciii: GIRL. I know the struggle with the hair, I recently fried my hair on accident and but this is soo real! But your skin makes up for everything

Jamie Cancel: Thank you so much for this video. This is exactly what I’m struggling with right now and honestly thought I wouldn’t find a video to help!

Ellena Monson: Girl I think your hair is fine but if your that insecure about it then why keep damaging it by dying it blonde

Jo Castillo: Even with your fried hair and no make-up, you STILL look beautiful! Your skin looks so flawless, a lot of us are jelly

Megan Harter: It's sad that some people have to tear others down to make themselves feel better. You are very brave & strong girl. The way you handled this situation was extremely professional & came off very genuine.

Kay Kahani: My ends are like dried out sponge bob too!! To me, it seems like you're doing all the right things to repair your hair. You're right, hair extensions would only cover it up, not to mention, also risk adding more damage to your hair or breakage.

Hailey Hanson: You’re insanely beautiful Nicol I think your hair personally is still pretty and maybe just letting it do its thanggg for a while, might help! I don’t use heat in my hair AT ALL and my hair is literally perfect and healthy! Maybe that’ll work for you! Even with the texture and craziness, just let it be, let it be, let it be, let it beeeee ❤️ LOVE YOU SO MUCH

Jade Heard: I understand you, my hair is thin and it’s getting thinner lately and keeps falling out a lot and i’m so self conscious about it. Always love your videos

Laura Kaltved: Oh my gosh my hair is just like this too!! I don’t even dye mine much either thank you for this video I can only imagine how hard it must of been!

Tiffany bockelman: Girl we have all had this happen if we bleach our hair!! You are beautiful and props to you for showing off your hair in its natural state

Lady Naja: Oh girl, I feel you. I used to bleach my hair and it became so damaged. The only thing I could recommend is putting colour back into the hair... I went back to my natural dark brown and now it’s hella thick and growing nicely. Got to love dry shampoos as well! I only wash my hair twice a week now (yes yes I know, BUT it’s so much better for your hair in the long run) and if my hair is looking dull I just put it in cute pigtails or something til it’s time to wash

NickiDanima: I feel like giving yourself some sort of ¨boy cut" would look realllyyyy good on you cause you could totally pull it off and your hair looks very healthy on top

More Clothes Than Sense | Logan Lynn Spain: I’ve never had an issue with my hair being damaged until this year and it’s making me go insane. It’s only on one side and I don’t get it!!

C H: Olaplex is key. Highly recommend to try that out. (:

Francheska Diaz: hello, I've been blonde for 8 years and my saviors have been, vitamins for hair, Brazilian Blowout (A +++), Amika violet shampoo and the Amika the Kure mask (the best that exists) with this my hair stays beautiful and healthy!! I love your sincerity, that's your power girl!!

Lexus Ramos: Girl cut it off... you can definitely rock short hair!! I was in the same boat. I cut it all off and it grew back so healthy and pretty!

lindsay deans: This video made me feel so much better. My hair is super damaged from bleach and has thinned out after having my second baby

Gigi Marie: Im a hairdresser, and when clients with your level of damage come to me these are some tips! Bonnet or satin pillow case! when your hair is that dry and brittle resting your hair on cotton will make the hair break off, hence feeling like its never growing. Only comb/ brush you should be using are your fingers! Your fingers are more gentle and you can gently detangle without having to rip through! Deep condition once a week if you can! Deep conditioning will not repair or rebuild the hair that is currently damaged but it will help with moisture, softness, frizziness, and make it more manageable in general. Silicone, and Sulfate free shampoos and conditioners! Silicone isnt a terrible thing, but when cleaning your hair its a no go. Silicon gives a soft touch and feel to the hair because is coats the hair not allowing any of the conditioners/moisturizers/repair products to enter the hair shaft! Sulfates plain and simple just dry your hair out, and also strips out color! Lastly, oils! This is personal preference! In theory massaging and oiling the scalp once a week (same day you deep condition) will help blood flow to the scalp and the oil will help nourish the new hair keeping it strong and healthy as it grows. Weather or not oils can "help" your hair grow faster , shouldnt be the only reason to use them. Oils have amazing benefits for your hair and body. Do some research, you'll be shocked. hope some of this helped boo, cant wait to watch your hair journey ❤️ best thing to remember is that hair doesn't define us. Its just an accessory.

Emma Zijp: Girl, if you wanna fix your hair you should stay away from heat altogether. No hair straightener, curling iron, nothing. When my hair was that damaged I only showered with cold water. It truly helps. You should wash your hair every other day and use a hair mask every time. That’s how you get rid of damaged hair.

Morgan Rose: I completely damaged my hair a few years ago. It pretty much looked exactly like yours. And I just stopped dying it. Didn’t touch it for years and just let it grow out. Didn’t blow dry it or straighten it. And with my hair now you would seriously never know it used to look like that.

Karisa Wright: 3-4 times a week.... I was my hair on Tuesday’s & Fri/Sat... that’s it!! Don’t feel gross! And I’m a brunette with no damage!

Jayda Artz: I love IGK products!! I bleach my hair every 6 weeks and their products save my life!! ❤️❤️

Naama Loll: Girl let your hair breathe! I think you would look STUNNING as a brunette. I’m not just saying it, I actually think it would suit you so well!!

Celina Ryen: washing it three to four times a week is not gross at all! people often confuse WASHING YOUR HAIR and SHOWERING. n0t tHe saMe thnINg!! I wash my hair twice a week and my hair is very healthy! Pony tails are my best friends most of the week though xD

AnaKay404: Nicol, I used to have really damaged hair and it even stopped growing. The thing that helped was giving it the big chop and COMPLETELY stopped the heat damage and in your case bleaching it after that. Use mousse or keep it in braids and pony tails. Other girls here have great recommendations on shampoos to use as well :)

Jennifer Autry: I feel you. My hair is really thin, fine and oily so it just lays flat!

Samanta Araujo: Love ya!!!! Love the way you deal with stuff and are always good humored!!!!

Alexis Balke: You’re gorgeous nicol! ❤️ Love ya girl!

lydia green: Thanks for making this video Nicol. My hair is my biggest insecurity and I never see anyone on YouTube with hair like mine. It's always been quite thin and when puberty hit it became super greasy. My hair started falling out when I was around 14 and it became so thin I had to take biotin supplements to stop it from falling out. The supplements (combined with washing it less and cutting off the damaged ends) have made my hair a lot healthier, but I'm still really self-conscious about it
