How To Style Thinning Hair: No Heat & Non-Damaging Hairstyles

One of the hardest things I have to deal with is styling my thin and wavy hair. The process causes me so much anxiety and stress, why? Because those of us with thinning hair have a lot of scalp showing. My roots are also very weak, which means I have to be super gentle otherwise the hairs come out pretty easily. Because of this I'm limited on what I can do, I can't tease my hair to add volume or to hide my scalp, I can't do anything that pulls at the roots, like ponytails or heat tools. So what styles are left!? I try to have protective hairstyles for the most part, which are styles that cause little to no damage. One of these styles actually protect the hair, and you can find me in it pretty much every day.

Hey YouTube world, I hope you're doing well in this video, I'm going to show you my favorite no-heat hairstyle. So let's jump right into the tutorial. Those of us with thinning hair have a lot of scalp showing our roots are also very weak, which means we have to be super gentle. Because of this, I can't do anything that pulls up the roots, like ponytails, key tools or teasing to add volume or hide. My scalp so really what's left, I try to have protective hairstyles for the most part, my favorite and the best hairstyle is the low braids with little to no tugging at the root. The low braid also protects the hair from getting tangled and frizzy. This is my go-to style for sleeping working out, errands and sometimes even work. My waves come out smoother, so it's a win-win. The second style is to simply rock your natural hair and if you need to gently straighten or pop in a few curls to make the style look a bit more tame and, finally, you can add some fibers to hide any bald spots. Ok, can we just take a moment to appreciate the sweater? It'S pretty awesome. The third style is to use a headband. If you have serious balding on top or the crown like I do, you can pop a headband on and still be able to leave your natural hair down without having to straighten or curl a few pieces, and the last style is the loose bun. The ideal way to do this would be a low bun, which has very little tagging at the root. I personally don't like how the low bun looks on me, so I opted to do the high bun, I honestly remember being paranoid for an entire year. I wouldn't even cut my hair. I actually showed my hair myself because I was worried that if I went to the hairdresser when they're combing and pulling at my hair, I would lose way too much. Oh, yes, I actually trimmed my hair at myself. I wouldn't straighten it or do anything that was damaging instead, I did a lot of trial and error, trying different hairstyles to see what will be damaging and what would it so. I really hope I saved you some time and that you found this video helpful. Thank you so much for watching. Please subscribe and give me a like

RandomIsMyLif3: raw vegan for a year made my hair super thick and it touched the top of my thigh..but after switching to more cooked food it thinned out..maybe that shocked my body..i think my hormones go crazy with any processed food or hard to digest food it sucks..if you shock your body in any way it can trigger telogen effluvium...its been a year since my initial shed after a stressful job and over exercise as well..and my periods are really weird..so i think hormones determines hair thickness more then anything..yours could be androgenetic thinning..but if your parents don't have a form of female pattern baldness i think you hair should grow back..but it may take at least 3 years
