Where are my relaxed ladies?! Relaxed hair can be tricky to care for, there are certain steps that we can take to ensure that our hair is healthy and there is maximum length retention. I get a lot of questions about the products I use and how I managed to maintain healthy hair in quarantine. My wash day routine plays a huge role in my healthy hair journey!

Hi everyone welcome back to my channel today. I am feeling super energetic and revived the endorphins are flowing after a really great workout. This morning i wanted to make a video demonstrating my relaxed hair wash day routine, because a lot of relaxed hair females have been asking me. How do i wash my hair at home and keep it healthy while doing so um? So i wanted to share some of the steps i take on my relaxed hair wash day, which is usually every sunday, so stay tuned to find out how i do it. I start off by detangling my hair. The key to a smooth detangling process is starting at the ends and gradually working your way upwards. The shampoo i'm currently using is a sulfate free, moisture and shine shampoo from cream of nature. I absolutely love this one, as my hair actually feels soft and detangles a lot easier after using it, there's no need to gather up the entire length of your hair stick to the edges and roots. We need to maintain as much moisture as possible in the hair. Shafts the length of the hair gets clean from shampoo runoff while rinsing, i have several dermatitis, so my second round of shampoo is done with a medicated antifungal shampoo like this one. These can leave the hair very dry and coarse. So the next step is super important. This is a deep conditioning step, which i do every single wash day, no matter what it restores that moisture into freshly washed hair. I separate my hair into six sections and apply the deep conditioner from the ends of my hair to the roots. After this i put on a plastic cap, i highly suggest you get one of these microwavable steam caps from amazon. The steam helps the product to penetrate the strands even more effectively. Next step is saturating your hair with a leave-in conditioner. At this point, i do my second and final detangling do once i get my hair flat and smooth, i tie it back with a silk scarf and allow it to air dry after my hair has pretty much fully dried. This is what it looks like. I hope you try this routine and find it helpful on your healthy hair journey. Let me know if you would like more hair, routine videos and i'll see you in the next one. You
