You hear these horror stories on youtube all the time, but you never think it'll. Be you one day, you don't greetings beautiful earth angels. Welcome back to another video, it's your girl, negad and today your girl messed up. So this video is technically supposed to be a video where i show you guys a tutorial on how to go from curly to like wavy hair ish like more tamed, curls, less frizz, basically what the keratin treatment promises, but i didn't do enough research, i honestly don't Even know what to say right now, because i'm kind of disappointed in myself, but at the same time it's been a week now that i've had my hair like this and i'm actually not that mad. So let me just start from the top. I got the kerosene treatment last year, um, it was great. I had a good time in the beginning. I hated it later on. I liked it and then now it's a year later and i'm like, let me get the keratin treatment again, but but let me order it online and do it myself, so this video is basically me doing the keratin treatment myself to myself. The mistake i made was, i didn't fully read the title of the keratin treatment and i honestly didn't know there was okay. I didn't know there was two types of keratin treatments i didn't know. There was one that straightened your hair and one that didn't someone that works at sally, sally's, beauty, supply, actually dm me and told me girl, it's okay, don't be sad. A lot of people have made this mistake because of how many people make that mistake. It makes up those two kitchen treatments, apparently sally's doesn't stock them on the shelf same aisle, uh yeah. So i don't feel that dumb, but i'm going to stop talking, i'm going to show you guys the process of me doing it and how my hair looked afterwards. Um, i don't think i have a picture or a video of my hair dry, but my hair basically dries like i'm gon na put a snapchat of me waking up the next morning. My hair basically dries like that. I'M not even mad at it. I'M like it is what it is, but the thing i noticed about this treatment is that i literally went from having maybe like three percent of my hair split like the end. Split like my split ends are never bad. I'Ve never had crazy split ends to so many split ends that i don't even know what is going on with my head and i can 100 blame confidently blame the keratin treatment for that i can, and i am so enjoy the video. So this is me right out of the shower. I use the clarifying shampoo that comes with the treatment in my hair. Twice, it's supposed to enable your cuticles to open up and then the next step is to part your hair in three sections. Looking at the instructions now it says blow dry your hair dry and then comb it. But it looks like i skipped the blow drying part. I don't know how or why and i went ahead to um, went ahead and start combing it. Why i don't know. I know i know, root to tip root, to tip i caught myself, real, quick. The instructions call for gloves, because this is a very serious thing and you must take it seriously. So you're supposed to lather the treatment in your hair, one centimeter away from your root and then you're supposed to use a comb to comb it through and make sure that your hair is fully saturated. You'Re supposed to go in small sections, also, which i think i did pretty well um and i did my entire head that way it didn't take too long and the treatment smelled so good. So i was having a good ass time watching the office on my computer. It was crazy looking at the amazon ad, it literally says hair straightening in the ad. I don't know how i didn't see that i honestly don't know like i'm still so confused. I don't even know how i did this to myself you're supposed to keep the treatment in your hair for 30 minutes once the 30 minutes is up, you are supposed to blow dry it in and then after you blow dry, it you're supposed to straighten it in And i went for a small strands and then i also tried to use the comb to trace it the brush. I guess i don't know to trace it a bit, i'm not the best at straightening here, but i honestly think i did a good job. What do you think look at that? Damn looks really good. I don't think i've seen my hair this straight in so long, so it's kind of fun, but little did i know that would be my reality for kind of ever. You know anyways wait. That'S me straightening. It and how it came out. It didn't come out as good as when i got it professionally done, but it's still not bad. I mean we'll see we'll see how it goes. Um. Let me show you the bottle, because i barely used any product, i'm using the keratin research keratin treatment. Let me show you and then i'm going to show you how much of the bottle i used on my hair. I just used that much product so that much so technically one-third but anyways. I got it off of amazon. It was the first one that popped up when i searched up keratin treatment, so i just went for it. I was oh, i don't know what the hell i did. Okay, so, okay, so i'm coming to you guys straight out of the shower. That'S why i look like this and i have glasses on because i don't want you to see my face but um, okay. I was supposed to wash my hair in three days and i waited a little bit longer because i'm like okay, so i did the three days my hair is already straight. Let me just put it in a ponytail and just rock it for another two three days and i know you're not supposed to put heavy dents in your hair when you do a keratin treatment. I know that so i took a shower whatever i washed, my hair came out of the shower and i popped my hair up. I put a t-shirt on whatever. As soon as i went into the mirror, i took my hair down and it just felt yo. You hear these horror stories on youtube. All i don't want to see myself in the viewfinder. You hear these horror stories on youtube all the time, but you never think it'll. Be you one day you don't so i oh, what are you losing hair? I'M not losing hair but still baby. Look at that what the hell it looks like i relaxed my head. What yo i've never seen this in my life, it feels so like weird, but last time i did a keratin treatment. My hair came out curly after i washed it, and she told me, like carrots and treatments are not meant to make your hair straight. Oh, my god, i don't know what this video is going to be titled anymore, because initially this video was just supposed to be a keratin treatment to loosen your curls, and it would have been like what happened to me last time, where i did it. My hair was still curly. Life was good, but now i don't know what i'm gon na title this so we'll see. Don'T worry about.

Kaitlyn Oliver: Try washing your hair with shampoos that have sulfates if you don’t already. People that want to maintain their keratin treatment should use sulfate-free shampoo because it can strip the keratin out of your hair and reverse the treatment

U have to treat your hair as if u got a perm basically and your trying to go natural . No heat is going to be your best friend
Jade Lenon: I actually researched a bit about and it say it straightens and smooths your hair. It seems like you have type 3 hair so maybe because your hair is softer is why the straightening become more permanent. I have 4c so it’s definitely won’t do that for in the same way it did for you.
Liz Gaby: Im sorry... same thing here... it's been 2 years and half of my hair is stil freaking straight. I never thought that could happen. I used to live in NJ and got it done by dominicans which are seriously the best hairstylist for every single tyoe of hair. Came to ky (country yeah) and lady messed my hair with the keratin, never reverted. I'm still upset because now it breaks more than before the treatment and I think it's because the top is curlier and the bottom is straight.

khadija .f: Please use olaplex on your hair! Do a treatment weekly. I like olaplex n3 it really helped me with damaged bleached hair
Jazmine Reyes: Im assuming you naturally have very low porosity hair. Those with low porosity hair tend to experience breakage and thinness with keratin. Keratin is meant to smooth the hair cuticle so its ideal for high porosity hair. If you have low porosity hair your cuticles are already selaed shut, so by putting keratin you are pretty much trapping product into your hair. Wish more people would get into hair science
Sabah Omer: I almost fainted when this happened to me!! A hairdresser did a keratin treatment on me but didn't specify or let me know it was a keratin treatment. I was in shock when I washed my hair and my curls were gone. I just treated it like a relaxer and didn't put any heat on it. In my opinion, It's a relaxer, point blank period. It's been over a year and 6 months and it's gone back to normal now.
