Heatless Hairstyle: How To Do A Bantu Knot (On Texlaxed/Relaxed Hair-1St Attempt)

Last video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5uxGxgH...

Hey Ladies,

Today I wanted to show you how I do my bantu-knot. This is my first time doing this hairstyle. It didn't quite turn out exactly how I wanted it too but it wasn't bad. I think next time I'm going to do less knots and hopefully it will turn out better. This style can be done on natural hair as well and it is perfect for those who are transitioning.

Products mentioned in this video:

*ORS (Organic Root Stimulator) Olive Oil Wrap/Set Mousse

*Tresemme Naturals Conditioner

*Jojoba oil (pronouned ho-ho-bah)

Okay, ladies, so you want to start off by detangling your hair with a wide tooth comb, and I am doing this on freshly co washed hair. For those of you who are wondering now, I'm going to take my Tresemme naturals, I'm just going to apply it to my hair as a leave-in conditioner. I'M going to put that all over my head and I'm going to part my hair on the right side and as you can see, there is a not as I was trying to do it. If that happens, definitely take your time and slowly take it out. Then I want to take ho ho Bo oil and I am going to apply that to my hair to seal it and you can use any type of oil that you have or that you choose to use. Then I'm going to taking my Carol's daughter's Marguerite's magic and I am going to apply that to the edges of my hair. Now I'm going to section my hair in sections and I'm going to take my organic root, stimulator moves and I'm going to apply that to my hair. Just so I can get a better hold on my bantu knots. Then you just want to twist it around your finger and roll it and wrap it around your hair, like I am showing you right now, and then you want to take a bobby, pin and pin it at the ends, and you want to do this to your Whole head and you can do as many as you like or as few as you like and as you can see, I'm just rolling rolling rolling with my finger all the way around and you can do it as tightly as you want as well. Now I'm just going to continue and do the rest of my hair to my whole head is done and then you want to take a scarf and tie your hair down for the night. So it's the next day and I'm gon na take it down, and this is actually my first time doing a bantu knot. So I have no idea how this is about to turn. Oh, but you know, let's just one thing I love about the style is that you know one thing I love about. The style is that you can wear it on any hair length. You have shorter hair than me if you have longer hair than me, you're the same length as me. If you have a different texture than me, it works like it works for you is just great as a heatless style and it's perfect. I my hair down last night with a scarf, and this is how they looked or how they look. Okay - and so I'm just going to start with right here and I put about like one or two pins on it and as you can see like it, curled like a curl. So it works. And you want to be very careful with this style because it will freeze up on you in here is actually still a little doubt this one didn't curl like I wanted it to, but it's all good and you can choose to do them like smaller. If you want more defined curls, if you want just like a way, you could do a much bigger than I did maybe like two or three um, but I was just experimenting to see what size I like the best, i'm not even totally sure what i like, Because I've never done this before so, basically, what i'm going to do now is I'm going to just take my carol's daughter, hair honey. I'M also here honey, and this just adds shine to the hair. Um really doesn't really serve any other purpose than that, and i'm just going to take a little bit on my fingers problem like this, and i am going to separate and just for the record. I did one two three, four five, six of them, I'm just going to separate them without causing too much frizz. You just want to play with it, so you just get it basically how you want it. Okay, this is pretty much the final look and this will fall during the day, so it won't look as curly and I think for our first attempt is not bad, i'm not totally loving it. I do love my bread out a whole lot more, but it is different and it's cute and it's heatless, so it works trust me anyway yeah, so you can style it. However, you want. I don't really know what i'm going to do with it is yet, but it's pretty much it and just so you guys can see. It has shrunk, a lot because my hair coming all the way down there. So thank you so much for watching. I will see you guys on my next video. Do not forget to subscribe to my channel for all my new video okay, so you girls know when guys start scratching down there. You know what I'm talking about and they scratch it in. For no reason, why are you scratching down there? Is there something itches? What is going on?

Ebony Coates: Your make-up is so pretty! I can't wait to try this on my hair this weekend!

MsJude49: Hey Mich, do you use the wrap lotion when you do your braid outs also..by the way thank you so much for answering all of my questions...hair looks beautiful as always.

Michelle B: Thank you. No, I don't use the wrap lotion for braid outs. I was just trying it out with my bantu knots.

Michelle B: aw thank you! I'm wearing Ruby Woo by MAC. You can subscribe to both channels if you like. I was having some issues with this channel but everything is good now. So the other channel (everythingmichtv) is going to be dedicated to videos with my hubby and randomness and this channel if going to be more beauty related videos.

MsJude49: Thank you I really appreciate your help.

Kam Glam: It looks great for ur first time. I like how you did the knots in a slant so that the top of your hair remains flat and the Bantu knots will just hang...

xSharonDoesMakeupx: Gorgeous!

Michelle B: thank you! Sorry for the confusion! I was having some issues with this channel but everything is good now.

g: Ty i'm gonna try that :)

Sarina Marie: Your makeup is soooooo pretty!

Michelle B: Thank you!!

Balerina Balerina: I think it looks pretty on you. Probably should leave the bantu knots in longer to dry. Thanks for the video

Michelle B: sometimes you just gotta deal with the shrinkage....lol thanks :)

Michelle B: Thank you :)

MsJude49: Sorry to keep bothering you I forgot to ask you how do you use the Carols Daughter Mimosa do you apply it after your braid outs bantu knots etc. thanks again.

Michelle B: I didn't really have a method to it lol but I'm glad you think it looks nice. Thank You!!

xSharonDoesMakeupx: it is a compliment :) you're both beautiful

g: How would i go back to my straight hair from the bantu knot outs?

Nicky John: you are very beautiful. we almost have the same colour and the makeup suits u well. 2 questions: what lipstick are u wearing on this video and the last (regimen for texlaxed hair) and # 2, i wanna subscribe but i noticed u have 2 channels, which 1 is ur 'main' 1?

LaNoirBella: My hair is never dry when I take it down

Michelle B: Thanks Traycee...Yeah, thats what I was thinking too!

LovingAtlanta: Thanks - very cute. Lots of shrinkage though...hmmm what to do what to do.... I liked the funny part at the end about "itching". - LOL

Nicky John: ahhh, gotcha! thank u!

candaces2449: Great video. Your make-up was pretty. I almost didn't see your last two videos. I had to resubscribe to this channel. Lol

Michelle B: Thanks!

km96000: It's better to do it on dry hair

Michelle B: haha I'll take that as a compliment..thanks :)

g: lol and how can i prevent breakage detangling? :(

: It came out pretty.. Try less knots next time and you may like it more

Alma Ott: I like it.

Michelle B: You are not bothering me at all. The Mimosa honey is just a shine pomade. So whenever you want less frizz and more shine, you can use it. I use it before if my hair is dry, is my hair is wet or damp, I'll use it when I take down my style.

Balerina Balerina: Very cute

Michelle B: You could try wrapping your hair

bada oden: Help my hair does not retain curls.

xSharonDoesMakeupx: You look like my mum lol
