What'S up you guys, welcome back to my channel today is Saturday November 23rd, it's about 1 o'clock right now and I'm just finishing up at the gym. I hope everyone had a really productive week and that you guys have achieved all of your weekly goals and short-term goals and if you haven't yet, I hope that you are working towards that. So I definitely feel like I had a productive workweek. You know get into that bag into that grind, etc, and so I'm really thankful to have today to just take to myself really take care of myself and have kind of like a self-care day and with that comes the inevitable wash day know all my textured hair Girls know exactly what I'm talking about like. This is a day where you set aside a few hours and you just pedal-to-the-metal, treat your hair and give it the TLC that it really needs and deserves so a little bit about my hair, I'm a relaxed girl. I know that there's a huge movement of like natural hair and big chop and all this and I'm very happy for everybody who has decided to do that. But for me I've noticed that my hair hasn't really accumulated much damage from the relaxer. As far as maintaining a curl and like being able to get defined, looks doing twist outs and things like that, and that might be because I relaxed my hair only once a year and I've really learned how to nourish that transition. Point between the natural hair growth and the old relaxed hair, so, like the oldest part of your hair, at the end, I don't touch that so it's only been relaxed once I don't know if that has anything to do with it yeah. So I'm hoping today to really focus on show you guys how I style my hair for my wash and go. I like to use the WLOS method, which is water, leave and cream in oil and a styler, and I abide by that. It gets me through the week you know and helps my curls to stay intact throughout the week now. I'M gon na show you guys as much as I can kind of walk you through it, but yeah guys if you're interested in this and you'd like to know how I retain the length and moisture in my high porosity, relaxed hair, please keep watching I'll catch. You guys in the house, ok, so to start off this wash day, I'm going to be going in with the Shea Moisture jamaican black, castor oil, strengthen /, store, shampoo, excuse, my scalp, nice and moisturized and cleanses. At the same time, then, I will go in with the as I am olive and tea tree. Oil conditioner tea tree oil is a great stimulant for growth and helps prevent a dry itchy scalp throughout the week. So I really like that immediately after the conditioner, I will go on with my soap box, coconut oil, rejuvenating deep conditioner and leave this in. While I finish the rest of my shower all right, so I am fresh out of the shower just washed, my hair and wrapped it in a cotton t-shirt and when I take it down, all hell has broken loose and the line has been set free now, in Order to start taming this hair, I'm going to be splitting it into quadrants. I like to do this because I do have quite a bit of hair and I just like to make sure that the product is being evenly distributed throughout all parts of my hair and I'm not missing or neglecting one spot. So I'm going to begin by saturating. The first quadrant with water - this is my hair's favorite natural moisturizer and my hair tends to dry pretty quickly. So I just like to add some of that back in next, I'm gon na go in with some fermented rice, water and just spritz that along my scalp and the length of my hair and while it doesn't smell the best, it has a lot of protein properties That help me with length retention and hair growth. Next you're going to go in with your favorite leave-in conditioner and just saturate your hair with it high porosity, hair, loves moisture and it will soak in all of the nutrients that it needs in order to stay healthy and strong. I prefer the shea moisture, manuka honey and yogurt leave-in conditioner it's nice and light, but it gets the job done and then we're going to seal in all of that moisture that we just put in our hair, I like to use the peppermint and tea tree oil. It'S a nice stimulant for the scalp and hair growth, and so I'm just going to put some of that on my hair, focusing especially on the ends which tend to be the driest part for me, and once my hair is sealed, I'm just going to put that Into a little twist so that I can keep all the products in my hair and keep it nice and separated, and then I'm going to repeat these steps on the next three sections. I will be right back and now that all sections of my hair are nice and moisturized, I'm going to return to that first quadrant and lock in a styler. I like this one. It'S got a nice, thick consistency, and so what I'm going to do is I'm actually going to separate my hair into subsections to apply at the gel and now I'm going to scrunch my hair just to encourage the curls to go ahead and form and in order To additionally help with that process, I'm going to finger coil small sections of my hair, just so that they can clump together and hopefully form those curls by the time my hair is dry. Now this is the issue with relaxed hair. Is that you have technically relaxed away your natural texture in order to make your hair a little bit more manageable, or at least in my case, make it a little more manageable? And so you do have to put in a little bit of extra work. If you want your hair to be curly and you do not straighten your hair, this is where you have to put that extra time in and it's critical, especially after a wash day and as you can see, we've got a little bit of progress happening here. I'M starting to see a little bit of definition, and that is definitely very encouraging. All products that I have used you can look for in the description, so go ahead and click below. If you would like to use some of my tips and tricks on your high porosity relaxed hair all right, so you guys just watched me split my hair into quadrants and implement my WLOS method, which I do swear by for Starlin. My hair free wash and go - and this is the result, so it's a little more defined for me than normal, which is a good sign, because it's my first time trying this with the start. I want a job that I showed you guys a little bit earlier. So I do have high hopes, I'm honestly hoping to wear my hair like this, when I leave for New York in two days. So that's honestly, when it'll be ready, so I'm gon na deal with one rough kind of weird wet hair day, but hopefully it'll all come together in time for me to go to the airport, wrap it up in a pineapple and keep it going on the plane. So with that set, I will check in with you guys - probably tomorrow around this time, just to show you how it actually came out, because this is not an accurate representation of how my hair is going to look when it's dry so yeah guys. Let me know what you think: I am open to tips and tricks, but we are halfway through the completed wash day for high porosity relaxed here, I'll catch you guys in 24 hours. So this is the progression for a few hours in still pretty wet, but good morning you guys it's the next day. It'S been about 24 hours. It'S around noon. Arrow in my hair is totally dry. I slept on it which kind of sucks, because I kind of messed up the shape of how it would come out just because I slept with it while it was still a little bit damp, so some curls didn't get a little squished. But overall I think the thing you're coiling worked really well, it's like my hair is pretty bouncy snaps right back and it has some really good definition and minimal frizz, which is kind of rare cuz. My hair gets frizzy very fast. It gets very dry very fast. Actually, it just absorbs anything that's put into it basically, but yeah. I hope you guys enjoyed my little tips on how to achieve define, look with high porosity hair, and let me know what you guys would like to see next I'll catch you in the next video

Jumanjee: This video helped cause my hair is really hard to deal with if not relaxed and I hoped if I could keep it relaxed just to reduce the over frizz and dryness but still keep it curly and thought that was not possible

alixer87: So many questions, 1. Did you make the rice water?, 2. Did you find the hair to be soft afterwards or did it have like a stiff feeling to it, and 3. How did this style last you? Love this and can’t wait to try it out.
