Hey guys so today it is week number this is the last week of the no heat challenge. Actually, this is the official last week, but I still have a few more styles that I need to do that do not require heat so, but this is the official end. Today I chose the what my husband called Sharda look, which is this bun and I did my bun to the side, which I'm glad I did, because let me show you the weather out here. Rain rain go away. Look at that! My car is wet. It'S raining. It'S raining, so I think it's supposed to rain pretty much for the rest of the week. So you know, guy was looking out for me when he put it in my mind, to go ahead and do a bun, because I was not trying to be bothered with my hair. I did shampoo, my hair conditioned. It beat conditioned it. I set up under the dryer to let it dry and then I just put it in a bun, no blow dryer, no Flatiron and then less. I did that yesterday and then last night I simply just put a scarf all took my scarf off this morning, and here we are, so that's it. That'S all I'll be doing this week, but I love my bond because and I like it to the side cuz. It'S just so cute, you know so anyway, yeah this is week eight. This is the last week again, I will be doing more no heat styles in the next few weeks, but that's really not considered a part of the challenge. Since I said it was gon na be an eight week challenge, but I am going a little bit longer and and a lot of times when I do things like when I do challenges or when I give it vice. I myself try to go above and beyond. Simply because I'm the example, so I figure, if I can go longer, then you can do the minimum you know. So if I can go 1012 weeks, surely you can go age just like with my relaxed. I recommend 16 weeks four months, even though I go six to eight months, so my philosophy is: if I can go this long, then you could do a shorter time. You know so you can handle it, but the eight week challenge was simply done in order to show you that you know different styles, that you can do to give your hair a break, because you know when you use heat all the time, especially when you're using It incorrectly and when I say incorrectly I mean you're using it too high. It'S too hot you're, going over your hair, too many passes and you're doing that over and over consistently your hair results in damage so giving your hair a break from heat periodically is a way to allow your hair to recover, get back healthy, get back strong and All that good stuff, so there doesn't mean you just go jump straight back into the heat. That just means. When you do go back to heat you do it more. You have you do it safely? Okay, you have the heat down in the Lord of setting. Don'T have it up too high only go over your hair with once two passes next and only use it once a week. You know when you do that your hair will be fine. Okay, but I know a lot of people that say: hey you know I'm using heat everyday. I don't see nothing wrong, so anywho. I just want you guys when you do start back using heat, that you use it safely and you are practicing healthy, hair care tips. All the tips that I give you you're practicing it okay, so anyway, this is day one I'll still give you a follow-up throughout the week, but pretty much nothing will change. If anything does change well I'll, come back tonight and I'll show you how I tie this up with my bio Jones head scarf, but other than that, I'm it's really not gon na be too much of a difference, but if anything I may take some of these Pieces out of the bag and put a roller in it just because it's kind of my hair tend to do this since its layered it it doesn't fit all the way in the ponytail. So I'm constantly doing this so instead of having to do this, I may just put one roller up there. Just to so, I can have a little. You know kind of feather look but we'll see how it goes during the week, because if I'm gon na do curls or something like that, my feelings would have been to hurt, because it is one humid rainy mess out here so anyway. So that concludes, and also I am today as week - eight. So I am six weeks post relaxer. Can you believe that some people get a touch-up at this point and my hair is still straight or I look at my roots? It'S still straight, so I just don't see how some people go ahead and get a relaxer this early, but anyhow my new growth is laying down just fine. It'S behaving itself very nicely, so I am happy about it, but I will see you all tonight for that's how we got a little rowdy. I was just coming back like this. Coming back in place. Put my scarf back on overnight. My scarf will lay this back flat and sweet and boom done. That'S why I consider a bun, a protective style, because you still have to do stuff to it. I feel like a protective style number one. None of your hair is out number two. So go ahead and take this down because it's done. I also remember to a protective style. If you were to get your hair wet, it would be fine, so you could go work out. You could get calling a friend, you go swimming and you will still be fine, a bun. You cannot do that. I consider of mine just a great no heat style and a bun does protect your ends because your ends are cut up well. For the most part my hands were put up, but like some of the hairs up here that are shorter, my hands were not did not even fit in the bun, but they were. You know late at night. I tied them up, so I don't consider a bun, but if you want to consider it a protective style go right ahead, but I know consider yourself: I just consider it an oaky style where you just don't have to do anything to your hair. It'S quick to do it's easy to do and it looks cute and it's when you're in a pinch and you don't want to wear a wig or anything a bun is great and even if you have short hair, you can buy a bun and just pin it. Just make sure it's the same color as your hair, if you know almost in the same style of this, but of course our, but they make a bun like it has like heroine and everything and there's no like wide opening right here and you just comb. Your hair back put it on, pin it down right again, just make sure you don't have light brown hair or you know like the color brown and you put on a bun, might get the same color as your hair, but yeah. So again, the main superstar was the whipped honey foam wrap. I have used a little honey foam around consistently. That is what has gotten me through this challenge, so I think next week because there is rain in the forecast. So so I think what I'm gon na do is do another bun again next week and then after that I will own because I don't want to put any heat on it in the end it's gon na rain, and then I don't want any style that I Had to put a lot of effort into and then it gets destroyed by the ring, so another bun it is for another week plus. I have a slight headache right now so, and I was my hair stylist I swear my head will look cool lot of time, but some thing I'm not doing to the bun and then the next week. I probably do some cuter alright. So this is the end of week. Eight again, you can do an Okie challenge anywhere within your stretch. If you have here and you can you wan na, do no heat style that week 16 you can or you can do. No. He says that week one. You know I do prefer that you do no heat sounds at the beginning of your relaxer stage, simply because the relaxer does weaken your hair a little bit. So you want to you: don't want to put a lot of heat on your hair when it's freshly relaxed plus when it's freshly relaxed it's already straightened. The real answer has done the work for you, so there's no need to keep putting a lot of heat on it right at the beginning. So at the beginning of a relaxer is a great time to do a no heat challenge for yourself right. So it's a week some kind of six weeks post at this point, so I'm still like I said for the next few weeks. I probably still want apply heat just because I have something that I'm doing, okay in particular, but not because it's like against the rules. Is there something that I'm doing right now that - and I have my Styles planned out, and it just so happens that the next couple of styles I'm doing okay, but at this point is perfectly safe, is perfectly fine. My hair is still very straight, but that's just because I've been tying it down once I get it wet, I should be able to see at least half an inch of new growth, but for the most part I can still manage my hair very well alright. So that's why it was hard for me to believe that some people actually get another relaxer at this six-week point. Alright, there's no need to do that if you want your hair to be healthy, okay, so I am going. I am going to pretty cool, I'm actually gon na use. My pre cool mud mask this doubles. You can do it before and you can do it after. I love this mud mask because it makes the hair super super super soft. Okay. So - and this is absolute danger, if you have dandruff, the mud mats, helps with that and it helps to soften moisturize all that good stuff. Alright. So if you've been following this no heat challenge, I hope I was able to show you some styles that you may incorporate into your own. No, he challenge if you follow along with me. Thank you. I hope you enjoyed it. If you didn't follow along with me, you can just go back to week one and pretend like we're starting over together. Alright, so thank you all for watching and I'll see you all next time talk to you later.

Janine Mack: I went about 5 weeks with no heat. The last week it rained and my hair poofed up so I had to use a flat iron to get my ear length hair lay down and into a phony bun. I would love to see a video on how you care for your hair after working out. These days that's generally the only time I use heat. Since it's cooler now, I wash and blow dry my hair after taking spin class and before going to work two days a week. i would love to see other options.
