Hey guys, let's kill some back for another hair video, so today I'm going to show you how I prepare my hair for a protective style. So I do a two-part protective styles there's the moisturizing and the protein because of course, when you're doing a protective style, you want your hair to be good and moisturized and you want to be healthy enough to last the protective style. So here I'm sectioning, my hair off you guys already know this is my homemade deep conditioner. So that is what I'm putting in my hair. You guys know ID condition my hair on dry hair. So that is what I'm doing right now, so I'm going ahead and I'm gon na put that all through my hair and make sure I coat my ends and my roots very well. If you guys don't know, I am 4 months post relaxer so that new growth - it's popping, I know it doesn't look like it. A lot of people's all times tells me that you don't like you 4 months. I mean after you've, been doing it for years. Over 10 years, you know you get kind of good at keeping your new girlfriend check but doesn't mean is unruly at some point, but yeah I'm just going ahead and deep conditioning all of my hair and I'm just getting everything put on there and making sure I'm Getting it coated very well so that it can soften up my new growth and really moisturize my hair. So this is what my hair looks like when I get done it's just in four little sections, I'm just making sure I'm rubbing it in on the edges. You got to get them, edges get the new growth. So here's my deep conditioning cap yep, it's a bag. I didn't have any more of the regular deep conditioning bag. So you got ta improvise. You got ta improvise, so I'm gon na go ahead and put that on my hair and I'm gon na put my bonnet on my hair and then what I'm gon na do. Is I'm gon na sleep in this overnight and I'll see you guys in the morning. Hey guys so it's the next morning, I've already washed my hair with the design essential and protein henna deep cleansing, shampoo, and I follow up with the honey cream, moisture retention, super detangling shampoo. So here I'm just taking my hair down. I had in the towel for a little bit just to soak up some of the water and, as you can see, it is looking real rough in these four months treats. So this is what my hair looks like at four months. I'M gon na go ahead and take my Africa's best coconut cream, restorative conditioner. I know I've already deep conditioned my hair on dry hair, but I go ahead. A deep conditioned it twice when I'm doing take the style, and I know you guys told me: well, it's not gon na lead to a protein overload. No, I mean moisture overload, no because I don't do it on a regular basis. I just do it when I'm getting a protective style, so here I am just detangling my hair, using that Africa's best restorative conditioner. I love this stuff that smells amazing and also has amazing slip. As you can see at four months post, I'm just basically gliding a comb through there, no problem, so I really really love this deep conditioner. So yeah I just make faces, don't worry it don't hurt. I just make faces like they would not go my hair for something it's crazy right, and so I'm just gon na twist that section off and then I'm gon na go ahead and go ahead and do all the rest of my hair and then I'll come back At the end, and out of my hair is all with the D conditioner and detangled: I'm gon na go ahead and let it sit in there for five minutes and then I'll be right back. Okay, so I've left it in there for five minutes and I have washed it out and my hair is super super soft. I love this product so now I'm gon na go ahead and section my hair. Once again, you guys know I love to work in sections. Okay guys, so let me use the L'Oreal total repair protein recharge. This type used in a video before because I had to did a battle other proteins, and I told you guys I like this product because it's much heavier and it leaves a nice moisturized, feel on your hair. When you use it as a leave-in - and I told you guys that I would use it if I was using using a protective style so now that I'm doing a protective style, this is the product that I we use. I love this product so much it's so moisturizing and it feels so good on your hair after you finish a blow-dry, so I'm gon na go ahead and put that in my hair and then I'm gon na start the blow drying process. Okay, I went ahead and blow-dry the back. I use about 50 cent's eyes in the back of the reason like a quarter size here in the front, because I would like this product so much like. I said it's a protein base, so it prevents breakage and stuff. Like that, so this is definitely something that I will use when I'm doing a protective style, as I've mentioned before. So I'm just working that into my hair, making sure that I coat all of my hair with it before I start the blow drying process. As you guys know, I blow dry in sections. Hopefully I will have a blow-drying routine up soon or updated one. It'S pretty much the same, but you know little tips and tricks here that I can give you guys when you're blow-drying, your hair. So, of course, I'm gon na detangle before I blow-dry, because I'm just anal like that and then I'll get my paddle brush and we'll start blow-dry. So once I'm through blow-dry my hair I'll come back and show you guys the results. Okay, guys now I'm blow-drying, you don't have to put up my famous cheese so confusing, I'm probably gon na take about a quarter size for my whole head. You don't need a lot of this stuff. A little bit goes a long way. As you guys know, I've had to the bottle for years. Okay, so I'm go ahead and put that in my hair. So a couple of tips, I want to tell you guys about. We get a protective style number one make sure you do. A good moisturizer make sure you do a good protein also make sure you are blow-drying your hair on cool this hairstyle right here I blow dry, my hair on cool air. I did not use any heat at all, because I didn't want my hair to be dry and brittle, because that can cause a breakage, even though I use moisturizing products and heat protectant products, it still dries your hair out when you use detective heat on your hair. So this hairstyle was done flow, dried, my hair on cool. That'S why it's so thick and fluffy! I like doing that as a way to make sure that my hair is as healthy as possible right before I get braids or you know, braid my hair for a protective style or whatever the cases may be put in a ponytail. Whatever the case, a bun, you just want to make sure your hair is as healthy as possible to withstand what you're about to do to it, because a lot of people braid their hair, really really tight when they're getting braids or protective styles or whatever the case May be - and I just want to make sure I don't damage my hair, doing a protective style. Sorry, I'm looking over there. I was watching some on my laptop but yeah. So that's all I'm doing is just putting in the Chi second fuse to make sure it's worked in there, whatever the case might be. So this is my hair, you guys so up close, you can see how shiny it is, how healthy it looks after this process. I really love doing and no heat Stiles, because your hair just flourishes so well when you do nohe Stiles, look at that shine. It looks so good you guys, and all of that is just from doing what I just showed you guys. So I will see you guys, the next video you you
