So all my bloggers relax Cal common here on this YouTube channel. I'Ve shared a lot of products and even some tips and techniques that I use when it comes to caring for my hair. But one thing that I've never really talked about a lot or pretty much. Almost at all is how I dry my hair. What is the process that I go through? What are the tools that I use and I figured that might be something that you might be interested in knowing, particularly because I have a lot of hair. It'S kind of thick and it can take a while to actually get it dry and the thing is also. I don't like to use a lot of heat on my hair, so I don't use curling irons. I don't use hot heat when I use a blow dryer. So it's kind of like how do I achieved this kind of look and how do I get my hair dry without causing a lot of damage? Well, I'm going to show you in this video, along with the products that I use when I blow out my hair. So without further ado, let's go ahead and get started when I blow-dry my hair here. The tools that I used this blow dryer from Hot Tools. It is from their professional line, and I have this Shea Moisture. Silicone free miracle style err, leave-in treatment, and it actually doubles as a heat protectant. Then I have the tgin green tea super moist, leave-in conditioner. I also use a natural oil. This one is great seedoil. I switch between different oils and then I have this true. Buy made beautiful leave-in conditioners, their nourishing leave-in conditioner. So my hair heads been air drying for about a couple of hours and I've already done one section: I've blow-dried the lower section, and now I'm going to show you how I actually go through and blow-dry my hair and I'm going to do that by taking the Next layer of hair and I'm going to create that by using a comb to create a nice, clean layer and so you'll see me using my seamless comb to do that. Once I create the section or layer, I take the hair that I will not be drying at the moment and put it on top of my head, and I basically use a clip to just keep it all in place so that it doesn't get mixed in with The hair that I'll be drawing once the hair that I'm not drawing is all clipped up. I then take my leaving conditioner, which also doubles as heat protectant, and I apply it to my hair. I want to make sure that I keep my hair protected with a heat protectant. I don't put any heat on my hair without it. I want to make sure that I get all of my hair covered with the heat protectant, just to make sure that everything is coated and well protected and then, after I put the product in it's time to start blow drying. As you can see, I use the comb attachment to the hair dryer and I used this and really try to focus on my roots just to get them nice and smooth. I'M not really looking to get them stick straight, but I really want to get them smooth to try to avoid the puffiness that might happen just because I have a decent amount of new growth here once I've gotten my hair, mostly dry in that section, I take The tgin green tea super moist, leave-in conditioner, and I apply a good portion of it to this section of hair. Now my hair is a completely dry right now I like to leave it slightly damp when I do this step just because I feel like it helps to lock in the moisture better than if I apply it after my hair is 100 % dry. I also make sure to work the leave in conditioner really well on my ends and also on my new growth. Then I take the blow dryer and I continue to blow-dry my hair until it is pretty much completely dry, especially at the roots. Now that my hair in this section is a hundred percent dry or pretty close to it, I'm going to take a small amount of the natural oil which is grapeseed oil and work it through my hair, paying close attention to my new growth and also my ends. It takes me about 30 minutes or so to dry, my hair, depending on how long I let it air dry before I start to do the blowout. So I'm not going to subject you to a 30 minute video, I'm actually going to now cut to the part where I am doing the very top section of my hair, so that you can see how I do that all right. I now have just one more layer to do and it is the top layer and I actually am taking it and dividing it into two halves and instead of doing like a vertical layer, I kind of do them horizontally. And so I take one side and work in the heat protectant and I make sure to get it all in from top to bottom of the section, as you can see, I'm applying just a little bit more and then I'm going to take this. The other section in the section that I'm not drawing right now and clip it up so that it is not getting mixed in with the section that I will be drawing so this section of hair little bit tangled. So I went ahead and decided to take my comb and try to work out any tangles that are in it before I start blowing it out with the blow dryer and the comb attachment. And now I'm going to start blow-dry in this section and what I do. Blow-Dry it I don't dry it. I don't go like straight down with the attachment and the dryer. I actually kind of go to the side and blow it back a little bit and that's just to get a little bit more body in it, and I don't know it just works well from my hair when I do this instead of going straight down now here, I'M taking that front section and I'm actually dividing it again, because some of the hair just felt like it wasn't drying as quickly as it should. It felt really really damp, particularly at my roots. So I'm going to go ahead. Put some heat protectant on this lower section and then blow-dry it out and then I'll do the same thing for the upper section, just to make sure that I'm getting my roots as dry as possible, one more section to go. I'M going to take all of the hair that has been dried and I'm going to clip it up. So it's all out of the way and then I'm going to do this one last section and I'm actually going to speed things up and not really talk through it, because you've kind of seen it all before. As you can see here, I'm pulling out the second leave-in conditioner that I'd shared with you at the beginning of the video, the true nourishing leave-in conditioner, and I used that when my hair is pretty much almost a hundred percent dry and I only used it when My hair feels like it hasn't retained, moisture through the blowout or drying process, and then, after I am done with all of my sections, I go ahead and then part my hair for the week. I part my hair on a different side. Every week when I wash my hair and then you'll see that once I've done this, I go back through with the blow-dryer using the comb attachment just to kind of smooth things out, and also because I find that sometimes the top layer of my hair isn't as Dry as I thought it was, and I want to make sure that, of course, I put more heat protectant on it, and then we take the blow-dryer with the attachment and then really finish, drawing the sections that are completely dry and then also smooth things out in The style that I'll be wearing it for the week hair is all dry now. So I'm just going to take some of this true leave-in conditioner apply it to my dried hair, really work it into the ends, and then we are all done. Here'S what my hair looks like after I am done blowing it out. It has a lot of nice shine and smoothness to it. Just how I like it. So that's it! That'S how I blow out my hair now, as you can see, and as I said it's not like that silky smooth, that's gon na, like wave in the wind kind of blow out, but it works for me. I don't wear my hair out a whole lot. So really what I do after this is either I put it up and go out depending on what time of day it is. The other thing might be is that if it's nighttime and almost time for bed, I will cross, wrap it and put a silk or satin scarf or wrap on top of it. And then, when I wake up in the morning it's even smoother and silkier than it is right now so then I might wear it out the next day or I might put it up in a bun or a clip or some kind of ponytail.
