I Tried Amazon Perm Rods On My Relaxed Hair | Perm Rod Set Review | Curly Hairstyles

So today we're going to be doing perm rod sets we're using smaller rods and, honestly, i'm thinking the curls going to come up epic. I love doing perm rods. I believe in permanent and bonus we are doing a heat free four week challenge. Let'S go i'm going to begin by sectioning my hair into four sections. I want to make sure that my hair is completely detangled before i start my perm rod set i'm going to moisturize and seal each strand and then i'm going to roll in a corkscrew curl pattern. You'Re going to begin by rolling the ends of your hair onto the roller you're, going to roll the roller under the hair and then with a twisting motion of your wrist you're, going to create a corkscrew curl. And then you just seal the roller with the elastic clip. So take your time at this point because you don't want to have any tangles and you want to make sure that you get the wrist movement right. So once you're done rolling all your hair, then it's time to just cover it with a hair tie and then get ready for bed. So i cover my hair with two hair ties. Just because i sleep bad, so that's it see you tomorrow all right. Ladies. The next morning finished at about 1 a.m. Last night i got about six and a half hours of sleep and i woke up. I did my makeup because i was like you know what she's not gon na come on camera looking jacked up and she wanted to go to starbucks this morning and yes, i did my makeup to go to starbucks because we are in you know, lockdown situation. So i was like get dressed, girl get dressed and your hair is going to be done. The only thing is, i am a little nervous for the larger purple rods because they are thicker and normally thick is good, but i'm afraid of what kind of curl i'm going to get, especially at the top. So let's take these off, they weren't bad to sleep. On they were nice and flat, i would say if there was any tips, not really honestly, it was good. I'M happy with this amazon purchase. So here's how i remove my perm rods without causing damage. I make sure to coat my palm with marula oil, which is a carrier oil. I gently remove all the perm rods if there's a tangle. I take my time. I unravel it the way i rolled it up and i make sure that i'm not pulling at any time. Okay, so now we're separating our curls and we're making sure our fingers are nicely boiled. Okay, we don't want to use a heavy oil. That'S why i'm using the ruler oil? Just because i want to make sure that my curls bounce, especially if it's windy, you want your clothes to look like you know. You were born with these curls um, so you're, just gon na find areas to separate and it's gon na get bigger, so be careful if you're not ready for the bigness, you know don't go too far. You know and uh just be careful of knots, especially now that um i'm four months post, i have to be super duper careful of knots, so i'm separating where it naturally wants to separate okay. So i'm gon na do the second house a half off camera and then i'm gon na play with it and then i'm gon na come back and you're gon na see the final results. You look cute girl, yo, look at the pounce yo um. Yes, yes, yes, but this was a great fun style and the reason why this is a great protective style is because your hair no longer touches your shoulders when your ends are touching your shoulders or rubbing against clothing. That'S when you're going to experience more breakage. So this is incredible because it makes my hair short enough, so it doesn't touch the shoulder, so i can wear it out and i don't have to worry about damage um. The process was very good. I did corkscrew corkscrew curls and this is how i was able to achieve these curls um. I didn't have as much problems i thought with the top and with using a thicker rod. You know i wish i did have you know the two packs um about the perm rods. I got these on amazon and i'm not kidding you. These are better than the beauty supply store. Only one of these broke, and the only reason it broke is because i'm the one who broke it, because i couldn't figure out how to open it properly like the rubber is good. It still closes. It'S honestly the best perm rod i've ever bought, and i have a ton if you've seen my videos, i'm definitely recommending these perm rods. I have the link in the description below um this quality wise for plastic. Incredible. How much would i rate these part rods? Okay, let's create categories; okay, all right so um about the perm rods. I give them ease of use, let's say the score's out of five. I give them a five because they're actually quite simple: to use you twist, the hair up, yeah, stick it in and you call it a day. These were comfortable to sleep in so i'm gon na give this a four um. I did not feel like you know. I i had to sleep like like this. You know what i mean. You know. Those hairstyles are like it's great for anyone um. If you have longer hair, i think you're gon na have a little bit of trouble just because, if it's thick long hair putting these in you're going to use small sections, it's going to take a while to do. I think it's for anyone any type of hair. Like i am uh relaxed texlax, but i am a 4c and i am four months post and they were really good. I find that i didn't get a lot of breakage i feel like they were easy to use. I'M a fan like because you get like a dimension in your curls. It'S not just like baseline flat. Look like. I have small curls thick curls, you know what i mean and it's kind of it mimics my hair pattern. I would say: moisturize feel um with an oil and then roll, and you will be fine you'll get the shine that you want you'll get that bounce. I don't think you're gon na need any mousse or gel or any other thing to lock in the curls. I think they're going to be wonderful now how i sleep with this. It'S going to be a head tie, so i'm just going to do a pineapple head tie and then i'm going to bed.
