Heatless Overnight Small Waves

HEYLO everyone! (:

I think I've lagged long enough on this video ^^; Many of you have been requesting for more heat-less curling/waving tutorials, so here you go!

The weather is getting colder, which makes it harder to get out of bed 10 minutes earlier to do your hair in the morning. That's why I love to prepare this hairstyle at night before I go to sleep and wake up with beautiful beachy waves! This hairstyle also gives me instant volume so that's an extra plus :)

You can surely do this after you wash your hair (make sure that it's about 60% damp and NOT wet) or just spray some water in your hair before you do your braids. OR if you find it easier to work with dry hair first, you can follow what I did in the video and dampen your hair afterward. You can also substitute water for hair mousse if you want your waves to stay longer or spritz a little hairspray when your waves are done!

For looser bigger waves, try doing two braids instead of four. That's actually what I'd usually prefer, but I just did four braids in this video to get a better base-hairstyle for my Katniss Braid tutorial:

Anyway, this was very simple to do and easy to sleep on! If you give it a try, please let me know how it turns out ^________^

Have fun and stay cozy!!

Much love,

x3Haha

Hello, everyone for this tutorial you're going to need a bottle spray of water and you can set it aside for now. You can start by dampening your hair beforehand, but I find it's easier for me to work with dry hair first and then dampen it later. It'S really all up to you, so withdraw your damp hair, separate out 1/4 of your hair. If you want looser waves, feel free to divide your hair in half and work with two sections. Instead, after securing away the rest of your hair you're going to work on your first section grab some hair right at the top and divide it into two then cross one section over the other now add some hair to both sections and cross them over each other. Again, continue to add hair to both sections and cross them over each other until you don't have any more hair to add. If you would like to have Luther waves, try grabbing bigger section when you don't have any more hair to add you're, going to finish this off with a rope braid to do this you're going to twist a section in one direction. So, in my case, I'm twisting it to my right when I have a little bit of the twist going, I'm going to grab the other section and place it over, which means I'm transferring it to my left. Then I'm going to twist that section to my right and place the other section over it to the left again. Another rope, braid is one of those things that look super complicated, but trust me just try it on yourself and you'll, see how simple it really is, and when you try it enough time it will become like a second nature. So once you're done with your braid tie, it off would have been elastic. If you do it right, it should not unravel now that the first section is done. Let'S move on to the next one: just divide your hair in half from the back, and you have another section to work with once again: just grab some hair at the top and cross them over each other then add some hair to both sections before you continue To cross them again, when you don't have any more hair to add finish it off with another rope, braid continue this for the final two sections again, I'd like to remind you that you prefer looser waves, you can try doing two braids instead of four, and you Can also grab bigger chunks of hair, as you add them to your sections, I'm mainly just teaching you a technique, but you can totally just adapt this to your own taste, so you've you've dampened your hair at the beginning, you're pretty much done here. If you started with dry hair like me, then you can go ahead and spray some water all over. What'S left to do now is to get your beauty sleep so I'll, be back in eight hours good morning rise and shine. So my hair is a bit messy from my sleep, but that's okay. Now I'm ready to take out my brace and review some pretty cute waves when you undo your hair be very careful and patient, especially if there are any knots after all, your braids are undone. You can use your fingers to gently separate the waves and fix your hair to your liking and there you have it some cute overnight waves that will give you some extra lift of volume at the top. I really like this hairstyle because it's convenient heat free and it gives you a few extra minutes of sleep in the morning. I hope some of you give it a try thanks so much for watching, and I will see you soon, toodles you

FlowerDewApples: I did my hair like this last night and it looks so beautiful!

Lyrica: I love this method ! I always do this when I want to have some curls ! I just seperate my hair in to two equal sections (each side of my hair), and after I twist the top of my hair I finish with a normal braid (because the rope braid doesn't work for me). I had a lot of conpliments around me, so thank you ! The result is awesome and it is easy to do and heat free ;)

x3Thuha: If your hair is thick, you can try splitting it into 5 or more sections :) You shouldn't put it into a bun first. Just secure some sections to the side with a clip until you're ready to work on them :D Have fun!

pramila karki: i always like your videos and this is also awesome ....... it really works. thanks :)

Bri Lilja: This took me like an hour to master because my twists kept loseing! But i finally get it! Aha watched the video so many times

jadaheartsyouu: I love your hair!!!!!! Never stop making videos pleasee!!!

x3Thuha: Yeah, it actually helps the waves form and stay better after it dries! (:

x3Thuha: @SimplyyAmy123 @Kathy N @apbarriosified @dawnblackthorn @smiki5000 @Vanessa W If your rope braid unravels, it means that after you've twisted your sections to one direction, you're crossing them in the same direction again. To make sure it stays, try doing what I did. Twist both sections to your RIGHT, then cross them to your LEFT! :)

brookeangel: Omg I love all your hairstyles! :) I try them all lol

Raluca: I really like this tutorial. I will try it tomorrow!

x3Thuha: Thank you! I'll look up some pictures of her hairstyle and see what I can do (:

Molly Hodge: She makes it look so easy!!

Rose101: i tried your waves and it worked real well thank you

x3Thuha: I'd recommend dampening your hair a bit before you try this. Also, apply some anti-frizz hair serum :) Let your hair air dry instead of blow drying it before you take out the braids

sunfr: Love this look!

x3Thuha: I'll cover this in a future video :) Thank you!

Dance6123: ive been growing my hair out since june and it grew like half a foot...how long do you think it will take to get about the same length as yours?

x3Thuha: Thank you! I didn't do much to it besides letting it grow for nearly 3 years now (:

Chloe Arbury: Does this style stay in all day, because whenever I plait my hair overnight or something it always comes out in about 1-2 hours, no matter how much hair spray I use or how damp it gets when I braid it. Any tips? xx

GlamorGals: this is a really good hair tecnique, if u want the same thing just take small sections and braid all your hair. sleep in it u dont even have to spray it. it looks great for me, now this tecnique is like alot better but if u want it to be easier and quicker do it the other way. haha i love this way for small waves it really works. i hope u continue to make more hair tutorials for us!!

What About Love?: YOU'RE SO CUTE. And I absolutely loveee your hair. I usually hate hair tutorials but you are certainly the only exception(=

Lauren Sanchez: this worked perfect. thank you

anna: I tried it out & it turned out great this morning!! ^^ I got a lot of compliments today too~haha so, tysm~!! - 3

x3Thuha: I just make sure that my grip is tight and secured ^^; I think it's mostly a matter of practice, but if you need extra help, you can always use bobby pins to secure the twist (then, take them out later). =)

x3Thuha: Awwhs, thank you so much! You're so sweet, and I appreciate that you noticed that ^____^ It takes some time for me to answer questions/comments, but I try my best! (: Have a wonderful week!

Juy Ana: Yeah, school can get rough sometimes. Just wait until collage and then your free! No problem I'll stick by anytime! :D xx

Izzi Jordan: Your hair is stunning! <3

Maha N: U say everything step by step, that's what's unique about your video thnx

x3Thuha: There's no such thing as a dumb question! ^_____^ You should group the new hair with the old section before crossing them with the other. Hope that helps! Thanks for asking!

MICAMICS: this is great!! I have been looking for a tutorial like this, and when is see people with braids lke that, they say its a fishtail braid but i guess not :D

Tiara Ashley: I just love your videos ! You're so sweet and kind (:

Michelle Mariscal: Very pretty!:)

x3Thuha: Thank you! I hope you'll give this a try :DD

x3Thuha: Depends on how short it really is, but you can give it a try and see! :)

ArtistikHybrid: Excited to try this! Going to use got2b kinkier afterwards cause its a lot less heavy than hairspray (I saw you mentioned that in a comment response). :)

x3Thuha: It lasted the whole day for me (: It may depend for you! You can use hairspray if needed!

x3Thuha: Yeah, you certainly can :) Just make sure your hair is just slightly damp when you braid it~

x3Thuha: Lol thanks! I actually get tired from time to time too, especially now that my hair is much longer to do xDD

Rebecca Bunyan: I am really jealous of your hair :) It's so pretty and long and thick

Nena: omg i tryed this and it worked great:D

Linda Garcia: I do this everyday before i go to sleep and honestly its been working for me and people ask me how i do my hair or like how i braid it ;p really like my hair after...

x3Thuha: Yes, you can~ Just make sure they're a little to the side so it's more flat in the back. That way, you'll have an easier time sleeping on them (:
