XO,

Milabu

Hi, and welcome to my channel! I am a Beauty Addict and love to create how-to beauty tutorials for short hair and hairstyles, makeup, and lifestyle in general. I try to make my videos informative, creative and most importantly entertaining. Sometimes it may be dry humor. I warned you.

I love interacting with my viewers. Let's get to know each other.

Love, Milabu

Welcome back my beautiful friends today we are doing a look on the 70s. This awesomeness right here. Do you want to recreate it keep on watching I'm kidding we're actually testing out a hair product that you guys recommended after I did, the whatever they were hair schoolies. That'S what we did. We are testing the sleep styler today. They promised a lot of things one. They promise the most beautiful bouncy waves, two. They will promise all the water absorption, so your hair will not be damp when you wake up and three you'll be very comfortable to sleep in because they have some kind of science in this some kind of memory. Foam that will form to your head: let's see how well they perform and if you're interested we are vlogging again on our second channel. If you want to come, say hi stop on over subscribe, hang out with us. The new vlog video will be out today, along with this video, we're going back in time we're putting these on the night before I'm very excited because it says dry and style your hair, while you sleep exactly what I'm trying to do, trying to do nothing. The next morning, like I mentioned, we are doing the sleep stylers and I have the large size because that's what my sister has and I'm borrowing this from her. So thank you all guys. She is amazing, so these are the ones that I'm going to try. They also have the mini, which is like a dark royal blue and they have sixteen - and here we have eight large rollers that are six inches already, let's put in some leave-in conditioner, because that's what I do when I get out of the shower, I'm using the Saints and sinners leave-in conditioner it's one of my favorites since, like March or April. So since there are only eight of these rollers, I figured I would just split my hair down the middle and just not do too many section just because I am worried that I'm not going to have enough of these rollers, because I have a lot of layers In my hair, so I'm just kind of hoping something works out, so I'm just going to start from the back going forward. I'M just going to work like this and just put my hair into these bad boys. So the instructions are very simple. You just go on their website and yes, they're very simple. To use. Has this little thing right here? The little strap has a Velcro at the end and you just wrap your hair around it and then just secure with this strap onto the velcro seems easy enough right. Supposedly this has memory foam in it, so it should be very comfortable to sleep in. Let'S try this I'm going to take the section of hair place it behind just going to take the pair and wrap it around, can't really see what I'm doing, but I might eat and read help all right. So the first one doesn't look good. It looks weird. I'M going to do the rest of them, so I can see what I'm doing I'm going to redo the last one, because I can't see from the back all right. This is the next one. This is definitely not going to be a tight curl, which is awesome because I don't want to take her. Oh, I just want a very loose wave, but I want my hair to look good at the same time. So I have high hopes for you. Bud had a lot of great okay. What am i doing on tight make this too tight? I really hope this works. I'M still trying to find an amazing heatless curly that I could sleep with. It'S not going to give me a headache so for the application for the first time user, it's okay, it was a struggle at first, I can't figure out which way to wrap it which way works. Some of them are super loose. Some of them are tight. I'M not sure I think I would need oh, maybe like two more of these rollers just because I'm grabbing way too big of a section for the amount of hair that I have and because I have so many layers, I'm not sure how this is going to Work out so yeah, I have high hopes, there's a lot of great comments. My sister said it was a really great product. I'M very excited to see tomorrow morning how we like it. This would be great for football honestly, great protection for your head. All right so get some rest I'll see you guys tomorrow morning, good morning we are back. I slept a good full. I don't know how many hours, but I think the hair is dry. We have one strangler he's falling off, so I have to do this quick one thing not comfortable to sleep in. I don't know who says it's comfortable. It is not. I had to wake up like every so many hours to readjust my head because I'm an explorer when I sleep, I can't just sleep in one position, so I am not comfortable to sleep in so maybe that's why this guy's falling off, but so far he's holding On really good, let's take these off moment of truth did something, but that's ugly, it's still damp. Yes, I can still feel it alright. So, in all honesty I'm disappointed. I really thought that it was going to look really good. Maybe it's just my hair texture. I don't know I really have no idea. This does not look good. Some of my hair is still damp actually a lot of it, especially like towards the root I'm going to quickly brush it out. Like I said when I was putting these in, I wanted loose bouncy waves. This is not loose. This is, I don't know. I went the same direction with all the curls, so this is not impressive at all, but I do want to try the mini ones and see how that compares to the large ones after brushing my hair out. This is totally giving me 75 lots of volume, so, starting with the main and most important point in my opinion is the results. I really am disappointed. I thought the curls would be a little bit well, the waves would be a little bit more defined and pretty and more uniform and completely dry and they're. Not I expected better, especially from the shark tank. I thought this would be a lot better. I mean obviously maybe will do better on really long hair. Like I said, I really want to try to do one for the short hair see how well they work for my hair, but I'm kind of like really are they going to make a difference? I don't think they will in all honesty in comparison. Do you guys remember when I did the curlformers amazing? The only negative is also someone to hair was a little damp and then it was really uncomfortable to sleep and it pulls on your scalp. That was a really big negative, but the curls themselves were very uniform they're, really pretty they were bouncy. So I really appreciate that. Let'S talk about comfort, I love my comfort. When I sleep, I don't want to wake up every so often and be worried about. Oh it's on my head. This does not feel like memory foam as look they advertised, so that kind of took it down a couple notches when I had to wake up and make sure everything was still in my head and to reposition to make it a little bit more comfortable, alright, so Leslie we're on a positive. You definitely get a lot of volume, which is amazing if you're looking for that, I do want to ask a question: if you have tried this, what were your overall results was like comfortable? Was the hair still damp? Did you actually get the really beautiful waves or curls in your hair? Also, should I try the mini blue ones? I want to see how well those perform should I test them out or now, but I'm still on the hunt for the perfect heatless curls. There will be great overnight that will be comfortable that will not leave my hair damp and that will create the most beautiful waves in my hair. I'M still dreaming of those. Maybe I should create them alright, so one more saying if you are subscribed, don't forget to hit the belt button right when you hit subscribe, so you can get notified to all this awesomeness on my channel when a new video comes out. Thank you for watching spending time with me and I'll see you guys next time, bye,

Kayley Melissa: Praise!!! I"m SO glad I'm not the only one who wasn't a fan! When I tried I failed so hard!

Lisa FeLines: I think you look absolutely gorgeous with those big vintage messy waves, looks effortless and natural!

Brooke . R: I love watching Milabu's videos because I previously donated 9 inches of my hair so now it's short. And she alway has great hairstyles to do

jade manke: I love your videos! And one thing I always love is you read the directions on everything before doing it. These rollers you are supposed to use the small ones. Have at least 80% dry hair. Plus it says not to brush out haha;) Love your videos! Please try the smaller ones and read instructions;) Your amazing!

Nicole Marie: My mom got me the mini size in these for Xmas and I can't wait to try them. I usually use the heatless, sleep in rollers for the curl not to wear my hair down but to prepare it for wearing it up in different styles. Most of which I get or do by watching your videos.

Hanna S: Have you tried the "Brazilian" overnight curls method? Making sure your hair is not soaking wet, you take a pair of old tights (clean, obviously) and you cut off one of the legs, as well as the toes, you wrap it around your head (in a Rambo sort of style) and tie it in the back. Now you just have to take pieces of your hair and wrap it around the tights, until all your hair is wrapped on it. Depending on how big the pieces are, the stronger or looser the curl is going to be! I've been doing this for years, with long, medium and really short hair, and it's really works! It's as comfortable as sleeping with braids, if you're worried about that :D Cora from Vintage or Tacky has a video on it, but she uses a hairband instead (i dont feel like the result is as even with an hairband :) )

jessica: I get ready with you every day! You are precious and I love all your tips! ❤️

Madeline Morgan: You are my faaaaavvvve! I love your honesty!! I love how you try actual affordable products and give a full review on all aspects! Plus you're adorable and have the best most creative hairstyles for short hair and I appreciate that sooo much!! Love you milabu!!!

Becky McKenna: Love your videos! Try the Snap and Go curlers. You can get them at Sally's, Amazon and lots of other stores. So far, they've been the best heatless curlers I've found. They would probably work perfectly on you with your hair's length & thickness!

Maggie Underwood: From what I've seen about these is that for shorter hair you use the mini ones. And your hair is not supposed to wet. About 80% to 90% dry. I haven't tried them yet but I've watched lots of videos and everyone that used it with wet hair it never turned out but people that used it with semi dry hair it looked great!

marmalily: I feel like I have a similar hair texture, fine somewhat wavy hairs and usually cut above my shoulders with layers, and I've had similar struggles with heatless, overnight curlers. I found the best way to get nice waves is to use medium size curlers and almost dry hair (just the slightest bit damp or dry hair lightly misted with water from a spray bottle). Too much wetness and I end up with frizzy, tighter curls. I'v even done it on completely dry hair and ended up with nice subtle waves. The humid climate in Miami should help :)

Tonya Leister: Hey Malibu! I've been thinking about getting some of those. My hair is so thick I'm gonna go with the smaller ones if I do. I think with your length and layers those may do better. It look beautiful anyway you style it.

Nancy T: You look adorable with ANY hairstyle! Thanks for trying them out!

Laura Barrientos: I have natural curly hair and those kind of products are so difficult to use sometimes. Idk if I just can't handle them well, or how properly use them, but those are a no-no for me lol. Test them. You never know which ones will come great. You are amazing and I really enjoy your videos!

Taylor H.: I don't know if this will help you, but whenever I curl my hair I use sponge curlers and I am under a bonnet dryer for 45 minutes to an hour right before I go to bed. This dries them halfway, and then I tie a scarf around my curlers to keep them in place while I'm sleeping. In the morning, I have completely dry soft and bouncy curls.

Jeri Czarnik: It actually looked pretty after you brushed your hair out! I have these rollers and haven't actually used them yet, I've tried rolling my hair with them dry just to get a feel for them but I couldn't really figure out how to wrap the strap around the roller to keep my hair in. My hair is a little past my shoulders and thick and also with a lot of layers so 2 packs of rollers would probably be needed for my whole head. The rollers took forever to get so hopefully they'll be worth the time and money once I actually get to use them. Thanks for the demo!

Debbi P: Thank you for a good honest review. From what I've read, the instructions, which are key to getting the curls right, don't come in the package. That seems foolish to me, they need to put them in the package. Your hair is supposed to be 80% dry when you put them in, and your hair looks like mine - thick and takes forever to air dry, so I'd probably go about 85-90% dry. If I were you I'd give them another try, just a suggestion, I've read a lot of review where they say there is a learning curve. I know there will be for me when I give them a try, I'm a bit of a klutz so I'll try them on a weekend first. It would be nice to be able to stop using heat to style my hair.

Savanah Cripps: I would love to see more DIY face and hair masks!! And what would be the most helpful are hair styles that you can wear in the water swimming or when it rains and still look great when when you get out of the water it might be a challenge, I love you❣

Kathie Harrop: OH! My! Lord! The look on your face was priceless when you took the first two rollers out. |I laughed so hard. But I don't feel the curls look as bad as you think. And yes, try the blue ones and dry your hair a bit more before you put them in. Thanks so much for trying products for us and your honest opinions.

Real Eyes: So, in other words: it probably would have worked better had you used the smaller rollers and done it with your hair dry.....? I only say the latter because I saw a video where the girl (Lindsay Rose) used them with dry (spritzed damp) hair, and hers turned out marvellous.

Lu María: Amo tus vídeos, me has enseñado a amar mi cabello corto y pues creo que no soy la única latina siguiéndote jejej pdt: me encanta tu blusa :)

Cheri M: I think your hair looks awesome! That's the look I'm going for.

americanbackbone: I have the mini curlers. Instructions said hair can be damp, almost dry. First time I put them in , the curls came out okay. The second time it was hard for me to keep the hair from coming undone from the curlers. I like my air curler best. It dries as you go

Dream Weaver: @Milabu I loved your video! Your hair is supposed to be 80% dry and for your hair length you should definitely use the mini's. My hair is a tad longer than yours and it turned out beautifully! ❤️✌❤️

anaturalredhead: Even though it wasn't what you were hoping for once you brushed it out it looked good on you! I am an explorer when I sleep too lol. I have tried so many overnight curling products and methods but nothing works for me - I can't stand sleeping with anything on my head and the very few times I do manage to make it through the night half my hair has come loose during the night anyway. Overnight curls just aren't a thing for me.

kayekog: Thank you, once again, for trying out a new heatless roller set....as tough as it was. Too bad. I went on the hunt today at a new little store that I've never been to, to see if they have any new hair clips or hair equipment. Didn't find anything. Sorry about your sleepless night but thanks, again.

Gloria Grigorutsa: I ordered the mini set and am waiting for it to get here. I'm hoping it works out!!!!! I need a break from heat styling

Glitter Girls: I use curl formers and I put my hair in a ponytail and then put them in so it's more comfortable and I use it for my cheer hair so I just have those bouncy curls put you can separate the curls so it can be wavy but there's nothing wrong with that!

Sharon McKee: Like you, I'm looking for a great heatless curl system. The sleep styler curlers come up way short. They are a pain in the butt to use- the velcro strap is never where it needs to be to close the curler & hold the hair. Even with hair 80% dry, and not using too much hair per curler, they frequently remain damp so even after sleeping on them all night (which is NOT comfortable, IF they stay in) the hair is barely waved. The models/videos used to advertise their products must have very thin hair as one package was not enough for my slightly below shoulder length thick hair. I had to supplement with the old pink foam rollers. Which, BTW, outperformed these hands down for a fraction of the cost.

Lynsie Reeder: I also love the way your hair looked after brushing the "curls" out

Erica Semenov: Thanks for being honest about this product! I am also in search for a good heatless curl. Please create them :)

Nat Oh: From what I've seen, this product seems to work better when the hair is basically almost fully dry instead of wet. Also, maybe spraying a bit of hairspray before wrapping the hair could help.

Kate S.: I bought the smaller ones thinking that would help my fine shorter hair Awful! I returned immediately after 3 failed attempts -- I had such high hopes!

Breanna Zenor: I liked the 70s vibe on you! Great review, I would love to see your thoughts on the mini ones. Also have you tried the curling flutes? You can get them on amazon and ulta I think, id love to see you review those!

Chantal Cross: Hey Malibu. Best heatless curls I've found are headband curls. Need to dry your hair till about 80% dry. Spray with a little setting spray then wrap around a headband all the way around your head. This works so well.

Lucy Locket: Hey just thought I'd say you get the best results from doing it in dry hair and you need the smaller rollers x

Desirexxdarkxvon: Love how honest You're and beautiful too

Amy Heath: As I understood it from the articles/show, there are different types of these 'rollers' for different hair types..... I believe the ones you have (borrowed from your sister) are specified for people with long coarse hair. Maybe the curls would turn out better with the rollers more appropriate for your hair type?

Paula Fredericks: The absolute best heatless curl is a sock bun. With layers you can cut up 2 socks, one for the back of ur head and other for the top. Put it up a section at a time. And it'll be dry in the morning. I do it all the time.

A Ogórkowa: Thank you for one more interesting video. And Milabu : Yes please create a perfect tool to curl comfortably a hair overnight! Why not. I will certainly buy it ;) if shipment will be available in Europe too

Sharon McDonlad: Your demo really was helpful! Thanks!

misscherrykittens: Have you ever tried styling overnight AFTER drying? I cant overnight style wet hair because it just wont dry. I get much better results this way.

Tricia Burke: Thank you for your sacrifice. I just love your personality, and your videos are fun to watch.

Whitney Elders: Have you ever used the "tyme" iron? Would love to see you use it in a hair tutorial!

Māmeido: honestly i loved it when you brushed it out i think it looks pretty and poofy

Anna Louise Lenne: I don't like how she doesn't have more than 600k followers... she deserves 1 million!!!!!!!

Sylvia Garcia: Yes, you should create your own heatless curlers but when you do think of all the different hair lengths. If you are able to come up with something that works I would certainly buy it. I am tired of all the products that make promises and they don't quite come true. Thank you for testing this product. I know that is money I will not waste.

claudine hellmuth: Thank you for testing these! I wonder if they work to make loose waves if you lightly dampen dry hair and then blow dry with curlers in to set. Maybe sleeping on them aren't the way to go! Lol!

Ms Chillz: I love this look on you. I got a Farrah fawcett look :) ♥️

Heather Berg: I really don't think it looks bad at all… You could spend a couple minutes styling it and it would be fine! Overnight curls always require a little bit of work

Suzan Storm: Thank you for testing. You saved us some money!!

Millie P: Great idea ! You should create your own curlers !!

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet: I have short hair, been shaving them for 2 years, goddess bless this channel!

Lauren Coleman: U should try curl formers!!! I use them and they work really well!!!! (Btw it's easier when someone does it for u) to me I think they are fine to sleep in for others probably not and they dry very quickly!!!!!

Jeanne Robert: I have the mini blue ones and in still on the fence about them. My hair is really fine but shoulder length. I'm not sure if I should have gotten the original size. I'd LOVE to see what you think of the mini.

Moomyself&I: I think the end result looks great on you actually,it's a fun style. Tfs

Mina McCall: I like pillow curlers, they are the most comfortable sleep in curlers, just make sure the hair is lightly damp. I also, from my Irish dancing days, have spike curlers. Not so comfortable, but great curls!

Sarah Tilsley: I loved how your hair looked when you brushed it out. X

Marlene DeSalvo: I think you should try the smaller ones. Actually your hair looks cute! Love watching your videos are usual. Have a wonderful evening. Hugs

Paige: What I used to use for heatless curls was Bobby pins. I'd use wet hair and wrap it up in a ball and then Bobby pin in my hair. It would look like pretty perfect curls. It isn't comfortable to sleep in though. Next video idea?

Jess Strudwick: Kayley Melissa used these too. They are worse on longer hair, the strap creates a kink

Kitty〉^·^〈: Kayley Melissa did a review on these with long hair and got pretty much the same results. Damp hair and wierd kinks in the curls.

Kim Mitterko: Great video! Loved your facial expressions ♡

Mandy Lou: You should try the mini ones for sure they actually give you a really nice loose curl

Kathryn Hall: I'd really like to see you try jumbo curlers that I've seen elsewhere. Similar to this but no Velcro & they are bendy

lauren thompson: I think the hair looks nice!! ❤️

Bees & Yarn: Haha - I love your reviews on these curlers! I had an idea for a giveaway (please note: I'm not begging for giveaways, it's just an idea!!) where you could giveaway your favourite brands of bobby pins, hair elastics, brushes, hair products etc. I'm trying to hunt for some better bobby pins myself and I reckon any one of your subscribers would love using the same materials as you, when they follow along your tutorials!! One other thing, I would love some hairstyles using a bandana, as I have fairly short hair, that has to be tied back for cooking at school, but I cant get it in a ponytail! Any suggestions? I'm pretty okay at braiding, my hair just doesn't always cooperate!!

Jennifer Hancock: Definitely try the smaller ones. I was in the fence about these. I have the very same length as you, so, am curious if the small ones will do better.

Amelia Black: I say test the mini ones too. But Kaylee Melissa had a bad experience too. By the way, i really appreciate your honest reviews!

prieta linda: You should try the bendy heatless rollers they're uncomfortable to sleep with but i love the results

Gloria Lewis: It looks like it hurts. I used long socks on my daughters hair, that is very thin and it works very well.

Julia R: Have you ever tried just doing pin curls and wrapping them in a silk scarf to sleep? I'll put my damp hair in pin curls the night before, tie it up in a silk or thin cotton scarf, and sleep. I've found it very comfortable and my curls look good the next day - very 50s hollywood. I will say that my hair is naturally curly and thick, so it typically does not dry fully overnight in the pin curls - I'll usually have to blow dry a bit when I get up in the morning. Since I'm a curly girl naturally I don't do this very often, only when I want to look more stylized.

ForwardLove: your hair still ended up cute and fluffy tho! love your videos

Ellie Yen: I'm so happy you did this video because I almost bought these

Camille: If you sleep on your sides maybe try the sock bun curls (search Loepsie sock bun curls on YT), it works great with short hair, you just need to do a high ponytail and place the sock bun with a certain technique ;) I tried it with two buns, one really high on the top of my head, the other on the back as I have short hair like yours, and I loved it! But not comfy to sleep on your back obviously... On the sides it's Thanks for your tutorials ♥

Rachel Doxey: I really want try heat less curlers too because last time I curled my hair with heat the curler got so hot we had to put it in the freezer for 10 minutes to cool it down it doesn't help that I have short ( about the same length as yours ) but incredibly thick hair .

Alyssa G: Yes I bought these same exact ones and I hated the results. My hair did not come out dry the next morning plus the curls were dented and frizzy from the strap that you pull around to secure. My hair is long and medium thick so I didn't have enough hair for only 8 curlers. This product is literally sitting on my dining table ready to be sent back but I'm way past the 30 day return policy so idk what imma do with them lol.

Claudia Scott: I am going through the divorce ,iam feeling down .idk why watching your videos make me feel better .,make me laugh thank you Milabu you are amazing and I like what you do .xoxo

jennifer fatzinger: They said to dry your hair 80% before you put them in

Evangeline Lintner: Don't give up! I want heatless sleep in curls that are comfortable and cute, I have tried a lot, but now I have given up... Please find the perfect way! You can be the savior of heat damaged hair :D

Kelsi Morris: I watched another test on these and they said your hair is supposed to be 80% dry, yours was probably too wet and I think you should try the small ones because those ones were too big. I think that's why it didn't work on you.

Szabina Hegyi: You are complaining but still look amazing ❤️

Savannah Tennyson: I have the minis. Hair is a bit of longer than shoulder length and is a lot of fine hair. It just has been a frizzy mess every time I have tried them. Also the packs definetly dont give you enough to try to get you to spend another $30.

Cathy Lee Grantham-Schreifels: You actually look great with the last hairstyle.  You look very soft and feminine.

Lyn R: Actually you hair looks okay. Definitely you need to dry your hair to 80% damp and truthfully, you would probably get better curlier result from the small ones. It always pays to read the instructions or check out the online videos.

Buttercup: Yes, I think you should have tried the mini blue ones since you have short hair!

VampGirl508: oh My God! I was laughing so hard after you completed putting these things hahaha so cute.

BRAVE HEART: When you brushed the curls they turns great , not bad , really

lildoll0117: Everytime I've tried to curl my hair it comes out so frizzy i supposedly use anti frizz shampoo or sleek but not sure which product to use to bring it down which do u recommend? Ive noticed ur curls dont look frizzy at all compared to mine.

Lauren Jones: Thanks for doing this review!

Klaudia Kałamarska: It's actually look really nice

Ash: Hahaha "because they have some sort of science in this." Made me giggle. I'm just picturing the tag on it.... 20% polyester 10% cotton 70% SCIENCE!!!!

Katti K,A: I think you should try the mini blue ones. They might be more comfortable and easier the use because you won't need to use such big sections. Though I don't think they will give you a perfect wave but maybe some nice curls.

Joyansorrow: The reaction after taking the first curler off

Sara Lyn Scott: You need the mini set. You also need to let your hair dry to about 80% rather than wet hair.

Malena Ramonet: Why don't you try foam or pillow rollers? (I think the latter will be more comfortable to sleep in). The curls will definitely be tighter but then again, it all depends on the size of the roller you pick, the amount of hair you put into one roller and how tight you clamp your hair into the roller. I hope it helps because I've seen so many people use those and I really wanna try them out. xxx

Risky Biznuts: Honestly these 70's loose curls need to come back, they're so effortlessly sexy

Rachelle Forrest: Please give this another try! Next time try using them with almost dry hair..like 90% dry!

Sylvie Simonne: Have you ever tried the Revlon 3 barrel waver?

Livi Brown: They look really pretty!! But it was supposed to be slightly damp, not soaking wet...
