Hi guys and happy Tuesday today, I am making a video on how I get these super tight, curls / waves. This is a no heat, hair style. It'S really great, when you know you'll be in a time crunch the following morning or when you just want to give your hair a break from the heat. So after I get out of the shower, I let my hair sit up in the towel for a while to dry slightly. You don't want to do this with dripping wet hair. I use my wet brush to get all of the tangles out. Then I apply just the smallest amount of olaplex. Now again I keep a bottle of number two at home because I'm a stylist but clients can use number three the exact same way. Then. I am also applying a few drops of rejuvinate oil. This is just going to keep my hair smooth and fly away free, and it also treats my hair a little bit when it is in these braids now I naturally have very wavy coarse hair. If you have naturally fine flat hair, it would be a good idea to add some mousse or gel or curl cream, something with a little bit of hold to these braids so that it doesn't fall flat the next day. I part my hair down the middle. I didn't get it super perfect because I knew I was just sleeping in these. If you want to wear these Dutch braids out, use a comb to make that part more straight, using your nose as a guide going all the way back to the nape of your neck. So I then take one half and put it in a ponytail to keep it out of my way while I braid and then I start off at the top and create a little triangle shape section up by my forehead. I use two fingers to split that into three sections. To start my braid, I am doing a Dutch braid, so I'm crossing the everything under so I start off with the top section cross under three passes before adding hair into it. I then take care from the outside and add it to that outside section and cross it under into the middle. I did the same thing on the other side and worked my way down my head. You can see I do these braids without looking in the mirror and honestly, I think that makes it easier just feeling and start up getting all twisted around watching the mirror. If you don't braid often these will probably look very messy in the beginning. That'S okay! The more you do it, the neater they will get just keep practicing. It'S also a great shoulder workout. So when, when once I get to the nape of my neck, I move my arms around to the front to be more comfortable. I brush through this bottom section before I get to new braiding, to keep everything nice and neat and tangle free. I work that braid all the way down to the bottom and then secure it with an elastic hair tie, and I start on the other side and do the exact same thing all the way down now these braids are good to go. I can either sleep in them overnight: wear them for a day whatever, but once they're dry and ready to take them out and see my waves. I just start carefully unraveling these braids. I take my fingers off by my scalp and just kind of shake the hair to loosen it up. So here you can see the major wave, slash curls. This gives me, I that add just a little bit of rejuvenate oil to the ends to keep them nice and smooth and shiny again for someone with fine hair. This will be too much oil. So just keep that in mind to adjust this to your hair texture. I like to wear a pretty deep side part with us to give me some awesome volume. A little trick for getting a well placed side. Part is going off the arch of your brow and dragging your finger back to create a part and add some Amica dry. Conditioner through my ends, as I'm doing that I realized I want to add some dry shampoo to break up the root area more so my hair is clean. I am just using this dry shampoo to give me some volume, after sleeping in the braids all night. It'S just really packed down at the scalp area, and this helps lift it and break it apart a little bit, then I am adding a little bit of TG bad heads, queen beach, sea salt spray and scrunching it to give these waves some hold and texture. So yeah, that is how I achieve this look again. I like to do this when I want a break from heat styling and it's just a nice way to get some big fun waves. If you have any questions, just let me know in the comments down below thanks so much for watching bye,

Andreea: i did this but instead of dutch braid i just french braided and it turned out awesome. A little trick is flipping hour hair over and shaking your curls. When taking the braids off, don't touch them. Just untie them and than flipp your head and shake them. It gives you so much more volume. And try not to put too much product cause it will weight your hair down and the curls will get flatt faster. The least the better

Alana Mendez: this video made everything finally click when doing braids!!! The trick for the top of the head to braid it 3 times without adding anything really helped me

mdnsbsbsb: okay i'm going to try this. - i've braided my hair and i'll update you in the morning with the results i got goodnight (edit) i've done it and it turned out rly nice and poofy it was cue

Hellnogizmo: This is amazing! Thank you so much for reminding us thin-haired girls not to pack in the oil. One drop of water.. and my hair is straight as a board all over again! Lol. This style is exactly what i want for my mermaid halloween costume!

kilaya :: I LOVE this video. It showed me how to do the dutch braids and it showed me the after result. I've been SCROLLING a LONG time to see what the result to the dutch braids would be and when i found this video it was re leaved. I needed to go somewhere in the morning and i wanted my hair curly and now i know what style to get. I needed something in a cute braid but something that would also curl my hair when i took it out. Now i have that style thanks to you and i love it.

Duck: I fined it soo satisfying watching ppl take out there braids and I love doing it, it gives you such nice waves! (I am legit doing it right now, like I am about to go to bed and I have my braids in! cant wait to see what there look like in the morning!) :D

Lena Monroe: Trying this. I've never really braided my hair before. First try was a complete fail I couldn't for the life of me get the strands of hair separated. Tried again today with damp hair and it was much easier but still a challenge. I did tho! Theres weird loops and the braids are super uneven but I consider this a success. I'll update on the results!

W: Best hair video I've seen in a long time! Thank you for this !

Fay Coleman: If you have curly hair that tends to frizz a hold product might help prolong the style.

Michelle Marie: Can you do a video with this but at the end of the braids can you make the ends into mini buns? Maybe it will make little curls at the ends?

Aymi Torres: I remember I slept with a braid and when I took it off it was curled. I didn’t know your hair can curl like that

Kami Pearson: Would this work the same with French braids? I can’t Dutch braid for the life of me lol

Gunnar Berli: Can hairdressers do sleep braids for the purpose for wavy hair ?

Rabbitz Luck: I already try this and I'm gonna sleep now Lol

Princess Marshella Horman: Thanks. I'm about look like I'm going to be in a Whitesnake video once I tried this out.

Snanman06: 1000th like. Super helpful. Thx

Grey_god47: Can you take a shower dry your hair and do it without using anything

Finley and Kieran’s Life: Love
