Hey guys so for today's video i wanted to do a couple different hairstyles that i've seen on tiktok. These are going to be great for back to school back to work or you know just running errands whatever. So let's go ahead and get started so first off i'm just going to brush my hair, make sure it is nice and tangle free funny enough. When i was actually in high school, i had no idea how to do hair. I would literally wear my hair straight. Every single day and the cool thing to do back when i was in high school, was to straighten your hair with a clothing iron. So i would put my hair just kind of spread out like that on a towel and turn on the clothing iron and somehow straighten my hair with it. I don't know how i didn't burn myself, but yeah. My hair would be like stick straight, and that was like the cool thing to do back then just stick straight fried crispy hair. It would actually smell a little bit like burnt hair, so i would spray like victoria's secret love spell on it to. You know mask that burnt smell and i don't know how i even have hair today. But if you did that, please comment below so i know i'm not the only one so for our first hairstyle we're just going to part our hair down the middle, make sure it's a nice pretty part and we're going to section off one side. So with the section of hair that is not clipped away, we're just going to take a small section up at the top and we're just going to tie it with a clear elastic and then just tighten it. So then, with the rest of the ponytail. We'Re going to add in a section of hair from each side and we're just going to create a little bubble, so we're just going to leave some space and then tie it off with the clear elastic and i'm only going to do three sections. So i'm just going to do one more. You could always go all the way down and do pigtails if you'd like that'd be super cute, but i'm just doing a half a pair style. So one more i'm just grabbing sections from each side tying off with a clear elastic and then repeating those steps on the opposite side of my head and then it should look something like this. I love this hairstyle. It'S really sporty, but also very trendy, very cute, and you could always put this up into like a half up, half bun or leave it like. It is so our next hairstyle we're just going to take a small section up front and we're going to tie it off with the clear elastic. Then, with that section up front, we're going to create a little hole right in the center and we're going to take the rest of our ponytail and flip it under and then up through that hole to create a topsy tail and then we're just going to tighten It so then, you want to take a section of hair on each side of that topsy tail and just add it into that ponytail and then tie that ponytail that topsy tail into a clear elastic and then just do the same thing create a hole and then Flip your ponytail under and then up through that hole and then just tighten it. So we just keep repeating these steps grabbing a section of hair on each side, adding it into that ponytail tying it with the clear elastic and then we're just creating a hole right in front of that elastic flipping our hair under and up through that hole. Pulling our ponytail through it and then just tightening it and there it is so now we're done with the topsy tails. We'Re just going to take a section of hair on each side to hide our part lines and we're just going to tie the rest up into a clear elastic. So it creates a cute little half up, topsy tail hairstyle and then i'm just going to kind of pinch and pull out some of these sections to make it a little looser, not so tight. And then this is what it looks like. I like this hairstyle. I think it's fun and there's no braiding involved, and i did want to show you if you flip your hair through the other way. What it looks like so again took a section up top tied off with a clear elastic and i'm flipping my hair up through it now adding hair from both sides tying it off with the clear elastic, creating a hole, doing the same exact steps as what we Did but when we create our hole, we're flipping our hair up and then down through that hole just like that, so same exact steps as the first one, but it does give it a little bit different. Look when you flip your hair, the opposite way, and i did put my hair in a ponytail just so you could see what it looks like with the ponytail. But let me know if you like the first method or the second method filmed on the cell phone best. So now we're gon na do a claw clip hairstyle. So i'm gon na pull my hair through once and then pull it through twice just like a regular ponytail. Now i'm gon na create a hole, and i'm gon na flip that ponytail up through that hole and i'm just gon na kind of twist my ponytail um and just secure any hair, that's kind of hanging out and then i'm just gon na take my claw clip And then place it over that ponytail up at the top, and this is just just going to make sure it's nice and secure. So if you have long thick hair, this is a really good hack to make your claw clip stay. This is a nice easy hairstyle. I feel like you can't go wrong with it. Next hairstyle is my favorite low bun. I'Ve done this before and i just love it so much so i had to include it so you're going to pull your hair through once and then the second time you're going to pull it through just up at the top. So it forms a little bun with your ends. Hanging out, then you're just going to take your ends and then twist them around your finger and you're going to take your ends and then wrap it around that bun and then, with the ends that are left hanging out. You can either just continue wrapping it around the bun or you can tuck it into your hair hair tie like i'm doing here and then i just kind of twisted the bun and then i had some ends hanging out, so i'm just wrapping it around and then Bobby pinning it into place, then i'm just adding a couple bobby pins to the top making sure it's nice and secure, and it's not going to move then i'm pinching and pulling the top for some texture. This part is so satisfying to me. I love the way it looks and i love how it just gives a little extra something to your low bun. So then here's what it looks like from the side and then the back and then the other side - and i just love this bun so much last hairstyle - is a messy bun. You guys know i couldn't do this video without doing a messy bun. So i'm just teasing my hair a little bit very gently because we don't want to damage our hair and then just kind of smooth it out with the brush and then we're going to pull it up into a ponytail. So just smooth out any bumps. The best that you can you're going to flip that ponytail forward and then you're going to grab a small section with your hand and you're just going to take your ponytail and then just tie it over that section. So it creates a little bun. Then you're just going to kind of fluff out your bun pin down each side of that bun and then you're going to take your ends that are hanging out in the front and then just tuck them into the front of that bun right into the hair tie. So just tuck it in the best that you can it's. Okay, if it's messy and then i like to add some volume by pinching and pulling at the crown of my head and just making it nice and messy. I pull out hair as well again, making it nice and messy, and then here is what this bun looks like. So i really like this one. I'Ve showed this before, but i had to show it here again because it's just appropriate for this type of video. So i'm just going to show you all angles of this messy bun. It looks cute from the front from the sides and from the back, and that is when you know you have a good messy, bun wow. So that is all for today's video. Let me know which one was your favorite in the comments below. Let me know what other kind of videos you'd like to see and don't forget to like subscribe, leave a comment and i'll see you guys in my next one thanks for watching bye. I love you

Bee Ruth: Definitely going to try last one, forever trying to get the messy bun look without looking like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards XOXO

Cina Chandler: Your hair is so beautiful. I appreciate all these hair tutorials, Lainey. The one I liked best was the last one.

gracie joyce: i needed this video desperately!! i love your videos so much and will definitely be trying for back to school

Gen Smiley: Hi Lainey! Haven't been on here for a minute, but glad to be back :) All these styles are super cute and look like they're much easier to accomplish for those of us with mobility/dexterity/muscular challenges. What I'm wondering is, especially for the topsy turvy ones, how easy or difficult is it to undo these? If you don't already have a video for that, would you mind doing one?

Charu Shekhar: I started my last first day of college 3 weeks ago I did triple twists into a French fishtail braid

taylor coleman: the claw clip style is amazing for my medium length hair! it feels very secure

Alexa Alexa: Love the videos. Subscribed awhile back ago and have used all the tips you've provided. Keep them coming. They're all so fun and easy!!! Your little one is so precious !!!!

7027CATHY: Beautiful hairstyles, thank you so much, but my favourite are the buns. I will try them for sure. Love your baby at the end, so cute, made me giggle when you tickled him and made him smile. You're such a lovely mother, your boys are blessed to have a mum like you, as you're are to have such beautiful babies. Lots of love ❤️

Arras10: One and two are definitely some old school classics that still look good! My fav is prob the big messy bun

Tammy: Love all of them, but especially the last one, the messy bun! Adorable.

Beth Thompson: Really enjoyed your messy bun and your low bun. They both looked really good from every direction

Cheri Ives: I like #5 the best, but they all look beautiful. And now that you told us about meta grip(?) bobby pins I'm going to get some from Sally's. Sometimes I have little pieces sticking out and try to fix them with a topsy tail, and it doesn't work. I'd love to see more half up hairstyles that use topsy tails. You've done some good ones, but you can never have too many. I love watching your videos.

Paityn Burchett: I love the last hairstyle I am most defiantly going to be wearing that to school it is so easy and pretty to do

Hellsbells: I never ironed my hair but I can remember my first ever pair of straighteners took about half an hour to fully heat up so switching them on was the first thing I did when I got out of bed in a morning before school lol

Pink P: My friend used to straighten her hair with clothes iron and suggested me to do the same but i was so scared to try. I loved all the hairstyles. The last bun is the usual bun i make which i learnt from you

Brea Ell: Omg I totally remember ironing my hair like that every morning before school. Like you said I'm surprised I still have hair.

Meleinna Patterson: I love all of them!! I only wish my hair wasn’t so thick so I could pull of these looks❤️❤️

Sylvia Westerhof: Love the last one! Tnxx for sharing all your ideas with us !

Audrey Sprinkle: I also straightened my hair with a clothes iron when I was younger ‍♀️ I looked at first day of school pictures one year apart and I can’t believe I thought the unnaturally straight and crispy hair was remotely attractive!

Kayla Carroll: Omg yes lmaoo I did the exact same thing! Even down to spraying it with the love spell!

Jane Sewell-Shaw: I love all these styles but my favourites are the buns,i will be trying them all thou thanku for sharing these

Carrie Lloyd: Yes... Totally straightened my hair with a clothes iron. I honestly forgot doing that until watching this video. And my hair smelled if burnt hair also

Sue Stayton: This cracked me up! I used to iron my hair with the clothes iron too! I accidently burned my sister's head one time b/c I hit the steam burst button on the iron while it was next to her scalp! I still feel bad! And yes, VS Love Spell was the fragrance to wear!

sweetbecke: My bestie has super curly hair and for middle and high school her mom would straighten it with an iron! I was always so fascinated by it!

Silva Costa: Eu amei! Acompanhando do Brazil

Kim Arsenault: Very cute hairstyles thank you for showing my hair is right down to my waist I love long hair forever happy labor Day weekend can't wait to see more hairstyles ♥️

Paityn Burchett: Your hair looks so good in any hairstyle

CJ27: Massive fan of your hair style vids hun xxx ️‍

Hermine Nazari: Beautiful thank you. I like the last two

Allison Cohen: Great video. I love the last one (the messy bun--so cute on you!). Can I ask what hair elastics you use/prefer? I can't find any that are stretchy enough for longer hair, but not so stretchy they don't hold the hair. (Does that even make sense?). :)

・oldfashionedfireseeker・abby: Just got back from vacation. Can’t wait to try these!!!

Rienna Tullos: I taught this to my girls haha. Iron is so much faster lol. We have since gotten them good hair straightener lol

Kristen Micula: The fried, straighted hair was SO me! It really did smell like burnt hair! Luckily I still have good hair now and hardly ever put heat on it-mostly because ain’t nobody have time for that! ‍♀️

Planes G: Starts at 1:01

D Jones: I really like the first two but the other ones look great, too.

Christina Jackson: I started straightening my hair with a clothes iron and my hair has always been waist length I would get up 2 hours before school just to make sure every single hair was bone straight….

Sassy Sandra: Yep the very first time I wore straight hair cuz I have natural loose curls so I was dying to have straight hair and my friend was living with us and she used our iron to straighten her hair everyday and she wanted to try itbin my hair cuz my hair is long and I said heck ya and I laid my head down on the ironing board and she ironed my hair and we went out and I got hit on like crazy!!! Def loved it! B
