What'S up guys So I have been reading your comments. And a lot of you guys wanna see more hair tutorials., So I'm gon na show you the no heat blowout look for natural hair.. So, as you all know, I have curly hair. And I know within the natural curly hair community, it's really important that we don't put too much heat on our hair so that we keep our volumous beautiful curls.. So I have this great technique for you, guys that I'm gon na show you. And I'm really excited about this.. As you can see my hair, it's in knots, right now. And this is called bantu knots.. I have this really cool hair style.. I'Ve actually seen like Rihanna do her hair like this., And what I've done is I've washed my hair. I've conditioned it. I've towel dried it., And I am just going to show you how I do a bantu knot. Before I do that. I'M just gon na put some detangling milk in my hair.. It'S just gon na detangle, the hair.. I remember my first video for you guys was my hair tutorial. And I had so much fun doing that.. I love that I am doing some more for you guys.. So the bantu knot stretches out the hair and it starts the straightening process without the heat., So I've put the detangler in there and then now, I'm just gon na put in some leave in conditioner.`. Sometimes the ends of my hair can be really dry.. So I'm just you know, conditioning it., I'm just gon na put a comb through. And I'm just gon na twist, like this., And I wan na get it pretty tight, but not too tight.. Just so you know comfortable enough for you., So I'm just twisting it like. This. And I'm just gon na kind of like put in a little knot. Just like that., That's why they call it bantu knots. All right, so I'm just gon na clip it like that., Perfect, and you see I have like a really cool knot. There. Awesome! Whenever I'm front of a mirror, I'm always making faces., I just put some detangler in there. My hair, it's not like full on wet it's just like a little damp.. So that's why I towel dried it., Just kind of comb. It out., I'm gon na, add some leave in conditioner. Comb. It through. And then start twisting again.. This is so much fun. All right. So my hair, it's in sections. They're in bantu knots. And now what I'm gon na do, I'm just gon na just let it continue to air dry for a minute. While it continues to air dry. I can just do some chores around the house. All right, so the next step is, I am going to take out the bantu knots. And what I'm gon na do is I'm gon na add a non-chemical straightener by Kim Kimble. Just a little bit in there. And Again, this gon na help the hair straighten without heat.. I can already see it starting to straighten a little bit. And the bantu knot really helped with that. And then I'm gon na add a little bit of this jojoba oil., Just a little bit like a drop., And what this is gon na do is get rid Of some of that frizz and make the hair really nice and shiny and smooth., I'm just gon na take the roller on the outside and just kind of bring my ends down and just start to roll., Just like that., I'm just gon na clip it. And they're Velcro, so the hair is gon na stick, so you don't really need too many clips. Voila One down. ( laughing ), And then I just take it section by section.. I love the jojoba oil because it's all natural. There's like no chemicals, whatsoever. And just kind of take the ends., And just there we go.. This is like a character.. What should her name be: Katie ( laughing ). This is how I entertain myself., I mean you have to entertain yourself while you're doing this right.. I remember when I was on Sister Sister.. I started out on the show with curly hair. When I turned like 20 or 21. I was like I wan na. Do something different. I wan na go straight with my hair.. I was doing lots of blow outs with the heat., Even though my hair was straight and beautiful'cause. I was starting to damage my curls.. This is why I really love this approach, because you can get that straight. Look that you want.! You know that sleek sexy straight look without damaging your curls. Fabulous Awesome sauce, My hands, my arms are getting tired.. I feel like I look like somebody's grandma. ( laughing ) There we go. So either. I can just walk around the house and continue with my errands with the rollers still in my hair until they dry. And how you can tell if your hair is fully dry. All you have to do is just kind of take out one roller and test it to see if it's dry. Or what you can do is just sleep on it. Like a geisha, girl. ( bell ringing ). If you choose to sleep with your rollers, what you can do is just put a nice sized scarf on top of the rollers and just kind of tie it up or what you can do is jut put on a silk bonnet to cover up the hair and The rollers., I think it's also important to know that the bigger the roller, the smoother your hair will be. And the smaller the roller you'll get like a really nice bump. A few moments: later. ( laughing ), So I've just you know, done several chores around the House and my hair has completely dried., And now I'm just taking out my rollers., And you see how I have like this bump there. And ho ho ho. Yes, darling., Yes, And it doesn't have to be perfect because you know this is the natural straight look. And if you have a little bit of frizzies, what I like to do is just kind of take a little bit of the oil put it in my hand, Mix it up like this and just kind of rub it through my hair., It's nice and full., We have our bumps going on., Which kind of give a little bit of a dramatic look.. One thing that I like about this is the hair is just really nice and full. Tada. There. You have it. The no heat blow out. Look for natural hair., ( laughing ), All right guys.. There you have it.. I hope you enjoyed my hair tutorial. And make you share in the comments below your no heat, hair, tips. And don't forget to follow Tia Mowry's Quick Fix for more episodes. I'll, see ya. Next week Get you my hair, toss. ( laughing )

jordache141: Tia’s laugh is so infectious. I just love it!!

Tempest H: Fun Fact: Jojoba oil is not only a natural oil but it’s very close to our natural sebum that our scalp secretes.❤️

S. Parker: Not sure why it was a honor to see Tia’s grey hairs, she’s so relatable

GapFace _: We’ve gotta get over the whole “my 4c hair can’t “ people, STRETCHING is KEY!! Consistent stretching through four or more consistently moisturized and protected braids (especially your regular cornrows!) does wonders for my hairs! You can better wash, detangle, Deep condition and etc. when your hair is stretched! You’ll see how much more manageable your hair is and it will thank you for keeping it neat and moisturized as you should. If you don’t see results in simple routines like this it’s time to ask, “I’ve tried but have I truly been consistent?” Most likely not! Trust me I have very naturally course hair! Keep product to a minimum and try to focus 1 or 2 natural oils (not essential oils!) on your plaited ends and a bit on your scalp and all around your edges. Think Easy, Efficient, and simple hair Needs!

TaeminDanceGDRapYedamVoice: I have type 4 hair and it's surprisingly worked, it was a bit more voluminous but it did work!

Latisha Coleman: Hi Tia, I absolutely love your tutorial. I've been following you for a while on Facebook, your silly sense of humor is hilarious and genuine, I love it. I think we would get along great if we ever cross paths. As far as my method of choice when I straighten my hair, well it is very similar to your method. The only difference is I do the tension stretch. What I do is run my fingers through my hair with a leave-in conditioner, detangler and I will Platt or section my hair for box braids. Then I let it air-dry but before I even start that process I always, always deep condition my hair. It gives it more moisture and also loosens my curls to help it to be more manageable. I make my own deep conditioners at Home and the deep conditioner timing can be as long as you would like. It can be for an hour or you can leave it in while you're doing chores up to 4 hours. Depending on the ingredients you can even sleep in it. Honestly can say that you can dish it ain't me has made a major difference and how my hair looks for the finishing product and it helps my hair to last longer. I look forward to your next tutorial, God Bless & I hope that this blesses someone on their natural hair Journey.
