Heatless Curls Overnight For All Hair Types - "The New Way" (Octocurl)

I recently ran into a Heatless tool to help curl your natural hair over night! Now this may be "New" to some people and not to others! Most people I've spoken to have never heard of the Octocurl, so I was too excited to demo this heatless curling tool and give you guys the REAL TEA! The best part -- it's for ALL HAIR TYPES -- just look at their packaging!

It works perfectly guys!!!!! Watch the video step by step as I demo how to install the Octocurl. This brand created a heatless curling tool for all hair types! I am excited to show you how well it worked on my thick curly black hair.

I started on blown out hair because this was easiest for me. I used very little product so my hair would dry faster and my curls wouldn't revert.

The Octocurl comes in 3 different materials -- Microfiber, Satin and Cotton. In this example I am using their Satin Octocurl but I love that they have options!

What'S up guys and welcome back to another video, as always aaliyah, where we always keep it real now y'all, i got my hand on a nice little tool that we're going to be demoing and reviewing for you guys today. This is octo curl and we're going to get into these heatless curls y'all. Let'S do it, let's go okay! So if you have been following my channel for a while, then you probably know i am in love with heatless curls. So we're going to be unboxing, reviewing demoing and talking about octo curl today, so here's their packaging. You guys will immediately see the versatility of the branding of all the different women from all different backgrounds. So i love that they are sampling. Two different hair types on their packaging and it kind of just lets. Everybody know that this product is for everyone and for all hair types, and this is going to be a heatless tool to curl your hair. So here is what it looks like right here: y'all. If you have never seen the octo curl, i am so excited to try this again, i'm starting out on blown out hair, but the very first step that you're going to want to do is part your hair, so just use your wide tooth comb. You can see. I have my part here right on the side and then the next thing that i'm going to do is just kind of go down the middle as well. So i have half my hair on one side and the other half on the other side, and then i have a side part right here so now we're just going to go ahead and put this bad boy on. So all this is just like the elastic. So if your head is big, she has you covered, because this is stretchable and i'm just gon na like make sure that my hair is flat as i'm pushing it down, and i think that it helps and it's gon na be a lot more secure. If you have this white band on your actual forehead, if the white band is still on your hair, it's going to slip and slide, but the forehead is going to give it a little bit more of a grip. It'S really stuck in place there, okay! So i'm looking like a whole hippie right now, but this is how it's looking so far and the next steps is going to be sectioning off the hair, so you're going to use your hair um ties right here and we're going to section off each strip. So it's just going to be a little bit more easier down the line because we're not going to have to feel and section off. We can just keep going around. So it's a lot easier if we prep our hair and then we go in and attack it. So, let's go ahead and um start to section off the hair into section into sections and i'll show you guys how to do that. All right! So i'm just taking a big old chunk of hair and then i'm going to take a hair tie and i'm just going to tie it off like that. So now i know that that section is tidal and they don't have to be big sections because there's eight strips on each side. So it's more than enough um strips and that's all y'all we're just going to keep going around as they are, as we are sectioning them off so so far i have like one two like three ciao: where are we at you? Go again look at you. Wait a minute, i'm back y'all and i finished all the sections i have all of the sections broken apart. So when we're ready to go in and start twisting, it's going to be so easy because they're already all separated - and i did the same thing on this side now. This side is a little bit thicker because remember my part is here, so i just have more hair coming on this side, but these are all separated out as well. So now, let's get into the twisting all right. So the first section is right: here: y'all go ahead and just take it down, and here it is i'm just gon na give it a nice little tug to make sure everything is straight and tight. I'M also gon na it's already combed in uh detangle, but i am gon na go ahead and just brush it first product that i'm applying the nutty butter twisting cream from natural hair really rocks. I love her products, they smell so good. So you can see that's how it looks nice and creamy all right, so i have very very minimum. Um twisting cream on my hand, all right and go ahead and just smooth that on down i'm gon na take a little bit more all right. So now we are also gon na go in with the soft jelly girls. So here's the product right here kind of melts in your hand a little bit it gives you like, a nice clear coat, which that is exactly what i want. I'M going to use this and i'm going to be twisting them we're going to be twisting our hair today. You can also do other methods as well, but i think the easiest and the most beginner friendly is twisting thing that i'm going to do. Is i'm also going to take all the extra hair that i'm not using and kind of just clip it out the way, so i can focus and really make sure that this section is how i need it to be so i'm just going to start wrapping the Hair and i'm making it extremely uniform to the best of my ability. Let me just go and twist this sucker on zam, okay, after wrapping it ever so tightly, i'm going to pinch and hold it so it doesn't come loose and then i'm going to take this assessive flap right here, you'll see that extra stuff, i'm just going to Flap it on top and then i'm also going to pinch that and hold it. So it doesn't come loose. And now there is a little uh string here, a little rubber band and then i'm going to start to wrap it around and just make sure it's extremely secure. So it never once came loose. Y'All never once came loose and that's how it looks so we're going to do that again because i want y'all to. I want you to grasp the concept. So here's our next section again we're going to clip everything else up out the way because we don't need that right. Now, that's all clipped - and this is our next section right here y'all. So we got the band and we got the hair. I'M gon na go ahead and clip this out the way this is the little strip and then i just want to focus on applying the uh products to my hair right now. So the first thing i'm going back in with is the cream just a little touch. Just a little tad little drop and it's not even really applying any moisture. It'S just um or not moisture. It'S not applying like excessive liquid or something that's going to take a long time to dry. It'S just something to just rehydrate my hair, but not to like convert it. If you know what i'm saying like it's still straight all right, so this is the soft jelly curls we're going to go in with this next and there's like a clear gel. So you can't really see too much, but you definitely can feel it and it has such like a flowery and floral smell to it. It smells really good these products make me happy. This hair tool makes me happy so i'm just going to go through and make sure that the products are evenly distributed throughout my hair, so it wasn't even a lot of product, but it is extremely soft. So now i'm going to just take this clip off drop that strip and we're gon na get the twisting so go ahead and just start to wrap it around and i'm wrapping it really tight and i'm also making sure that uh everything is uniform. All the curls. Every time i wrap it around, i try to just make sure they're evenly spread all right. Now, i'm not doing that too good of a job, but y'all y'all get what i'm saying, and now we are at the bottom y'all when i get to the bottom. All i do is hold it pinch it. So it's not going nowhere. Take the excessive flap and flap it on top make sure nothing gets loose, everything's all pinched in there and then i just start going in with the elastic band all right. So all that did was just twist it up and there's how it looks. Okay, so this one looked a little wonky in the front, so i just wound up fixing it. Sorry, if you guys can hear the train in the background i'll just try to speak up. Hopefully, you can't hear it but we'll find out what i'm editing this video, so i'm just making sure that everything is kind of just in place. For me to go to sleep, i am going to put a bonnet on and allow this to dry. I did miss one, but everything else is like tight and in place and really uniform, so which is really exciting. Um, i'm happy that i'm going to be able to sleep comfortably on this. It doesn't seem like it's like you know, perm rods or flexi rods, where you sleep really uncomfortably. These are just like your heatless curls. This is a heatless curling tool and i'm really really impressed with it. So far, so i am going to go ahead and go to bed, but i will be back in the morning to take these down and then show you guys. The final results all right, guys, sleep tight. What'S up guys - and i am back and better than ever now y'all, let me explain so i know i told you guys that i needed to take my hair out in the morning before i go to work. I'M not really a morning person, so i um had a little bit of trouble waking up this morning and i decided to go to work in a scarf. So i'm going to take this off for you, so you guys can see um how it looks underneath. But yes y'all, my hair has been looking like this the whole entire day, so i'm going to go ahead and take this off and we're gon na hope and pray that everything underneath is dry all right. Let'S go all right guys, so i have just taken off my scarf. They do feel really dry. So now i'm going to show you guys how i take them down all right. So let's go ahead and start in the back of my head and i'm going to show you guys how to take these down one. I'M going to start with this one right here. So the first thing that i'm going to do is i'm going to take off the rubber band at the tip or the end, and now that the tip is unraveled, i'm just going to start to unwrap the hair from the strip. All right. It'S coming out! Quite nice, it's really soft by the way, so uh momos did their thing over here. Okay, so let's go ahead and take out some more y'all see what's going on here right! Okay, i'm like amazed right now guys i'm in shock at how good this looks. Oh, my gosh, it's so cute, okay, so just a few things that i learned as i was taking down this side, it's a lot easier just to pull the tip instead of trying to unravel it, just pull it down until it unravels by itself. So that's what i've been doing on this side as well. It is coming out so cute, like ridiculously cute, all right y'all. So let's go ahead and take this off. Finally, let's see what's going on so here's my curls now we're about to pin them up and unravel them, but before we do we're going to use some oil so we're using the anti-itch growth serum excuse me we're going to use this product right here. All i'm going to do is just kind of get it in my hair, i'm just kind of squeezing it because i don't want to mess up the curls, i'm actually going to be pinning some up and out the way first. So probably all of these are going to be pinned up, so we just kind of have a good section right back here, wow this one one unraveling curl, all that came out, so all i'm doing is just separating it where it like, naturally wants to separate at I'M kind of just grabbing that clump, seeing where the separation is and just pulling it and that's going to prevent a lot of less frizz. If you do it that way, so you can see right here it's starting to break like right there. So i'm just going to grab it and separate, grab it and separate. That'S it honey. She cute, she can't yo. Look. I look like like a professional honey. I look like a little librarian or something up in here like this is cute. I just wan na go like this all day long. It is so cute seriously like look at it so bouncy i like it. I don't mind like the flatness on top. It just gives it like a professional feel, like i don't know like this little swoop. In the front is giving me life honey. Oh, this is cute: okay, uh, octo curl! You did your thing girl. This is noise. Yes, i, like aso, curl, guys i'll, have this linked in my description below, so you guys can go and check out their website. If you guys want to get a pair, but i would definitely recommend this product guys look or this tool, i should say not a product. No, it's just it's giving. It is giving - and i'm so so happy and i'm also happy that i got a chance to pair it with the um natural hair really rocks products, because i really think that that's what's making the hairstyle just hold and the shine is there. The softness is there and then octo curl came in and helped out with these fabulous fabulous curls. So all around i'm ecstatic guys. Well, that's it. I'Ve shown you the octo curl.
