Silky, Heatless Curls With Flexi Rods || Natural Hair

The first time I did wand curls with an actual curling wand it was a MAJOR FAIL ... lasted all of 5 minutes and took forever to figure out how to properly curl my hair without burning my fingers! But these heatless wand curls were soooo easy! These style is great for natural, relaxed, and transitioning hair. Just use flexirods, a curling cream or setting lotion of your choice, and voila!

What'S up guys and welcome back to my channel today, I'll be showing you how I created these heatless long curls using flexi rods, so I'm starting out on freshly washed but completely dry, hair after I washed my hair the day before I threw in some leave-in and Some oil and then just let my hair air dry overnight. So I'm gon na use a little bit of water to dampen my hair just a little bit and then I'll use the Obi and natural twist whipped butter for extra moisture and then follow that up with an obeah natural curl enhancing custard for hold. So installing the flexi rod is actually pretty easy. You'Re gon na start by taking a section of hair and wind to get down the flexi rod from the root all the way to the tip and then secure it at the bottom and secure again at the top. So once again you apply your product and smooth it through your hair and then start from the root and grab the section and continuously wind. It all the way down to the end of the flexi rod and secure it at the end and then again at the root, and just keep going like that. I like to have my hair separated in one-inch sections for faster drying time. So one thing you want to remember when you're installing your flexi rods is to keep your hands taut as you're winding your hair down the rod and also, as you can see, I have a lot of blue space in between the curls on my rod. This is going to allow for a more wavier look and also going to elongate my curls a lot more, so I don't have a real method for taking down the rods. I was just really ready to get beep out of my head. I slept in them overnight and the next morning, probably about nine or so hours later. My hair was completely dry, as you can see the ouvea natural twist whip butter and the curl enhancing custard left my hair really shiny, really bouncy and I had great great hold. I was really pleased with how my hair turned out so for separating my curl, I'm just gon na start at the root and take my thumb and use it to just move it down the strand of my hair to separate them really easily. I didn't use any oil to separate my hair. I didn't really have to because my girls were so moisturized and, of course no video is complete without the obligatory slow-motion care flip and as always, thank you so much for watching and don't forget to subscribe.
