how to wash natural hair and how to detangle natural hair with my heatless blow out method without heat damage no heat blowout for beginners transitioning hair short natural hairstyles so that people will know how to straighten natural hair whether you have short natural hair, long natural hair, medium natural hair, coarse African american hair.

Hello today, I'm going to be showing you guys how I got this super silky Salon, Professional, silk, pressed flat iron on thick natural type for Negro, hair, okay, using all trucks or affordable products, yes get into the suit press, and I'm also testing out the new Connor Infinity Pro rainbow titanium flat iron, yes, titanium plates, which has blessed damage, reduces frizz and adds shine, and it also has extra long plates. This is basically the babyliss Pro flat iron dupe for forty four dollars and it honestly looks like a Star Wars weapon, but it actually works. I was so shook at this honestly, so it's pretty thin and lightweight and, like I said, the plates are extra long. So you won't miss any pieces. So if you can't afford that when I have the old one look how crusty it looks like ten years old, this is the first one that they have its the tourmaline ceramic plate, but iron and 1.5 inches. And it's about twenty dollars now, if you can't afford that one there's a Remington flat iron that I used in my last year's update, but you can see the difference. It wasn't as Sookie. So if you want to try those flat irons or look at that tutorial, you can I'll link them in my description spots. So for my blow-dryer this was a twenty dollar one from Family Dollar, and I promise this video is not sponsored by Conair. I just love their products and they've been working since, like the early 2000s for me so yeah for products. I use a clarifying shampoo, that's supposed to be a shampoo from suave. It was about two dollars from Family Dollar or Walmart, and then I used the keratin organics conditioner, which is everything like it provides. So much live in detangle for your natural curls to keep them like soft and manageable. Like I promised that product is only like five or six seven dollars at Walgreens or Walmart and I'll have all these items linked in my description spots, but this conditioner is a must-have even for curly hair. Now you can screenshot this. This is right before I get into the video, but this is the must-haves for a soap press, so I'm starting with this mazzani soap infused conditioner. This is one of the products I forgot to mention, but this is the most expensive it's about 14 dollars. If you know where you get it from Sally's or Walgreens or Walmart or whatever, but what I do is I wash my hair it's already washed now and I've used the conditioner and the shampoo. So now I'm just doing the second part of the conditioner so that I could put it on all of the sections you want. You have to have a good soaking product that has the word silk in it, or at least keratin, so that it'll just make your hair super straight once you flat on it and it'll infuse those silk elements into your hair. So I wanted to make sure that I do sections so that I can really put all the products like literally lathering it all from roots to ends, because I want my roots to be very straight and of course, my ends. My hair has grown a lot in the past eight months, so I'm gon na do egg length check next, but this is just what I'm doing to leave the conditioner in for about five actually ten minutes, because I haven't straightened my hair in a whole ten months. So yeah, I need all the moisture I can get so this is just the process of me doing the conditioner. Now I'm for natural products. I did just recently find out that this product does have a paraben in it, which is why I'm not putting it on my roots like that, but I did put the organics on my roots and all the other products that I mentioned in this video are paraben Free and cruelty, free and toxic chemical free, so in since that product was $ 14, I said: well, let me hold onto it and put it on my hands: okay, yeah. Okay, so I have two new products that I'm also trying. This is the bio silk on the left and the on the right. I have the Paul Mitchell skinny serum. So I'm just going to put this on my hair. While it's damn I've already rinsed out the Milani, I'm sorry the mazzani conditioner, so I'm just lathering this all over my hair before I blow-dry it, and I think one of these serves as a heat protectant as well. But I got these from the Travel section at all. I think they were like $ 5 and, as you can see, I'm struggling with this little Conair piece that you add on. So if you know how to do this, ya, do it correctly, but I'm just gon na use the tension method. The key to a good silk press is to have a good blow out, which means, from roots to end your hair needs to be as straight as possible once it's led on. Basically, it needs to be detangle it properly. You don't want to have like kinks and like knots in your hair, because your flat iron is going to look crusty. It is it's gon na, be all frizzy and everything like that. So that's what I'm doing now. Another tip is when you're trying expensive products. You can always use the travel size portions, which are at Ulta and like Target and Walmart. So I'm just applying more since it was on like six or seven dollars to make sure that my hair is like super silky. So it's just basically what I'm doing there if you're worried about any products that I'm adding it's the same product - and this is my blowout - it's not perfect! So I'm about to go ahead and test. It live for a few minutes and then I'm gon na fast-forward throughout the continuation of this video. Let'S try this super-duper new Flatiron says 100 % titanium, so we're gon na see I'm gon na put 220 said it's way to say: oh, I didn't know all right. So, let's see all right honestly, I can't see what I'm doing so, which oh okay, it feels really good. So let's do this next pants feels really silky dick, yes ma'am! You did to it. Yes for $ 45, yeah yeah all right. So it's a go for this flat iron. Definitely so I'm just doing small sections another key to doing a really good soak press is to use some all sections and to make sure you detangle each section of the hair before you fed iron and what you saw me spraying. I forgot to list it in the video. This is the it's. The silk elements: heat protecting spray. I have the olive oil version because it it's just everything. Olive oil is essential to our hair and I'm telling you it is every third girl. I use this for my natural hair whoa. This is my natural, but I use it for my curly hair as well and especially on my extensions. It makes my weaves the look good but yeah. So that's the technique, so I'm gon na be quiet and let you guys enjoy the rest of the video until I feel like. I need to explain something else later and yeah also you'll have to forgive me because my I have high porosity hair and it's very dry, no matter how much product I put in it a lot of times. So I this process honestly took me about six hours, because I kept, I couldn't see what I was doing. So if you see me like struggling with my hair, the struggle is real, so I'm just being realistic with you more than likely, it will take about two and a half really three hours in real life without like having to sit down and film it and make Sure you guys get a good angle and things like that, but yeah I'll shut up now: okay, bye, so after actually finishing the flat ironing part. I just want to show you guys what it looked like before. City ends: I'm gon na clip the ends off camera because I need at least a whole inch off on both sides, since I cut it last year and the front side is damaged on the right or the left side because of loss of hair. On that side I don't know what was going on with my edges, which I uploaded a video about, that I think it was wearing a long type of hairnet. So I'm just gon na wait for them to grow out and then just wear it in a middle part or a side part, but yeah, I'm just doing the little curls so that I can wrap my hair and then it'll come out nice and you know feathered. Now the sad part is that, before I could really finish, show you guys the result of this actual style. My camera tied like it just legitimately, died. My battery, both of my batteries, are full. So this is all I can show you on this part yeah. So I ended up wrapping my hair and then straightening it like I kind of straightened it a little bit because I wanted it to be like just straight. I was just so over my camera dying, so this is the part where I just copied from the salon. People, I guess it locks moisture in so this is what it looked like the next day, which was Sunday and it was to me it was kind of frizzy, because I slept in that thing and I was not supposed to sleep in it. You were supposed to take it off in five minutes, but it's super silky. I did lay my edges with some edge control. I did not apply more heat because I don't want to be bomb hit it, and so this is the outcome of that silk press and to maintain it. I just wrapped it at night and that's it. I might install like a clip in or two just for a little thickness, but I am excited about the hair growth check out my previous videos on how I maintained my hair in different hair styles for straight hairstyles and also curly I'll link them in the description Box or you can check out the flavors link in my description, swatch thanks for watching

i .candy: You're one of the only girls on this website that got to the point and didn't spend 15 minutes trying to act cute. Thank you.

Désirée Johnson: Actually, titanium plates are very damaging to hair if used on a regular basis. The reason that they are so popular with in salons is that they get super hot FAST and straightens hair at a faster rate. This allows stylists to get through their clients quicker. It saves time. However, you don’t want to use titanium plates on a regular basis at home. They are not recommended for home usage. Ceramic plates are best for regular at-home usage because they give out even heat distribution throughout the hair. This minimizes damage. Titanium has a faster heat transfer to the hair (can reach higher heat really fast). Overtime, this can really damage your hair. I used the Babybliss flat iron for about four months last year. I was so impressed by how my hair looked after leaving the salon. I wanted that same result at home, so I asked the stylist what flat iron she used and she told me the Babybliss Nano Titanium 1 inch. I ordered it online. It worked great, but after about 2 months I noticed a difference in my hair, and it was not good. My hair looked, and felt, damaged from root to tip. I didn’t understand what was going on because I used heat protectant religiously and I followed the recommended heat level for my hair type that was stated in the usage manual for this particular flat iron. Note: ALWAYS read the recommended heat settings for your hair type from the product manual for any heat appliance you purchase for your hair. Don’t just guesstimate the temp and start using it! Lol. I see a lot of ladies doing this. Anyway, my hair was very dry, brittle and dull. It could not retain any moisture and had no sheen or luster. I tried everything under the sun to try to revive it. I even went to my doctor to get my thyroid checked because I heard that thyroid deficiency can cause these issues with your hair. My thyroid was fine. I was so frustrated and sad about my hair because it was always so healthy. I used to get so many compliments. I had to get most of it cut off. One day while combing out my hair and fighting away tears, honestly, I heard this little voice say, “It’s that d* flat iron. It’s the plates. Google it.” I did and learned that titanium is not good to use regularly at home. With that said, I took that flat iron and tossed it in the trash. I thought about giving it away or selling it on Poshmark, but I wouldn’t sell or give that thing away to my worst enemy. I don’t want anyone to experience what I went through. Now in 2020, with a lot of patience and trial and error in finding the right products to bring some sense of restoration to my hair, it is now getting back to the way it used to be. Ladies please Google ‘titanium vs. ceramic’ and learn about the pros and cons of each of these. You will see what I mean. Take care❤️

luxaholic anonymous: I’m Asian and to be honest I have to give props to you all for having the tolerance to go through all this just for your hair. If I was black I probably wouldn’t even bother with all this. 3 hours!!!!!!!!!!! I remember telling my coworker that it takes me 25 minutes to curl my hair (loose bouncy curls) and she said “forget it. I don’t have time for that” #respectforyougirls

JaiChanellie: I clicked on this because I ain't never heard of 4G hair before You got that thang silky straight!

lex dollaz: A good tip for blow drying is to use the tension method first to stretch out the hair, then using the comb attachment to stretch & straighten out your hair more. Hope this helps!

triplegoddess: I've been telling everyone about titanium plates for years. My hair is silky straight and no frizz. Its perfect for natural hair.

V: This was the most helpful video I’ve seen in straightening thick hair. Round of applause hunny!

Dayshae S Rushing: "ooo come through. That feels good!"I clicked on this video when you said 4G and I saw the bounce from your finished results lol. This video is the best at home tutorial for flattening our own thick hair so I greatly appreciate it. Already have my Amazon cart full with all the products lol.

Mimi Francis: Great instructions on doing a silk press at home! And thank you for showing us super affordable / easy to find products!

Alyssa Torres: My anxiety goes threw the roof watching how long she holds the iron at the root! Lol girl I’m so glad you didn’t burn your hair off. It used to take me 2 1/2 hours to straighten my hair then I just started different short cuts to statutes and now I just take 30-45minutes, I got thick Puerto Rican hair so it took me a long time to learn to do it myself lol your hair is GORGEOUS!!!

Asia C: I know I’m over a year late but I’m gonna follow this to the T lmao your hair looks so much like mine but longer and I’m so inspired . For years I’ve been afraid of heat damage but this tutorial has given me so much hope and confidence. Your hair came out beautifully thank you so much. I’m subscribing.

Jos Ryder: Very beautiful hair hun! Nice to see for a change a normal achievable silk press! Not everyone has extra full hair, and for those of us who don’t it can be frustrating looking for tips on YouTube. Gorgeous hair and thanks for sharing!

Sky M: “I did not straighten it again because I don’t want to be bald headed” resonated with me

CHINNK: Love this video . Thanks for posting you just made me more confident ,someone close to me Told me I needed to perm my hair . They said they were just playing but they weren’t . Thanks for this motivation. You have BEAUTIFUL HAIR BY THE WAY ❤️

Patrice: I just found your channel and it’s giving me hope and life during my journey. I’m a 4c and the struggle is real to get back to my pre-relaxer length! Thx for sharing which products you use too!

You Opened Mandora's Box: I have 4C hair and girl you know the struggle lol I've been doing my own hair for 5yrs and I love it. The also use a Titanium hair straightener because I bought mine at Sally's and the cashier said Titanium is best for our hair type. I'll be doing a silk press on my hair in a couple of days and I like your method

The Dejah Denise: I felt that 4G deep in my soul! Amazing results!

Eskel’s and Einar’s channel: Omg, you are so beautiful, Amor. Skin, hair (both straight and curly), I wish I could look like you It’s amazing how you made your hair look healthy and silky and not greasy. You’re amazing, thanks for the video xxx

Tafara Chikomo: Wow I haven’t put heat on my hair for almost 6 years because I was so afraid of damaging my hair. Definitely gonna purchase these. Thanks

lysha Williams: anyone else notice she put 4G hair

Sarah Anderson: LOVED THIS. I think I'm going to try to straighten my own hair this year.

IT'S TRIPS: My therapist: what is a lie you've been told in the past, that you know for a fact, you can't bounce back from? Me: shrinkage.

Juliet Robin: Girlfriend you have so much patience. I couldn’t do this myself. Excellent job!

Pinkladyisv: It looks gorgeous! I’m too lazy to do this myself though!

Socialite82: Thanks for a realistic tutorial.

P Espindola Little: My compliments, you rock lady. I appreciate how much I just learned from watching you.

Amaris Monae: This is amazing, I wish my hair would cooperate with me like this! My hair gets straight af but it’s stiff, if I put my hair in a ponytail and take the hair tie off my hair would still be in a ponytail it just won’t get the silk look!

Yellow Diamond: Just found your channel. Became an instant subbie. Love it. Looking forward to all the fire. Great content, straight to the point, & super informative! Thank you!

ForeverJenn: Your hair came out so nice!! I also have a titanium flat iron and it's EVERYTHING for me. How long did it take you to finish your hair?

WakeupGrandOwl: I hope you can see from this video that you only need one pass to produce that silky look you wanted! Spare your hair! (this is coming from a flat iron addict) but your ends are looking a bit fine, probably from heat damage. If you like doing multiple passes for missed hair insurance, turn down the heat! You're beautiful!

Ricky&Ricardo: Found this trying to do my daughter's hair. Very informative, especially since I just bought that very same flat iron before coming here. You got your Like at "Star Wars weapon".

Sheree White: Simply beautiful!!!!!!! Great job!

Frantz Fudoshian: You did a whole silk press at home for under $10 for that I'm subscribing and you got that salon day look at day 2, the sorcery

Tshegofatso Kungoane: Wow I was thinking about going natural. I’ve relaxed my hair since I was a young kid and I wanna try something new but at the same time don’t wanna loose my straight hair but if my hair can turn out as wonderful as yours, I’m doing it

Della Dabner: What's funny is, I tried the plastic wrap on my daughter and we thought it would be fine to let her sleep in it and she sweat like crazy so she woke the next morning completely reverted under the wrap. Lol Your hair did amazing.

ToriZee: Love this!!!!!! Your hair has grown so well!!!

Tai' Eunice: Loved that video. Gonna try this method. Attempted to straighten my hair after 2 years & the curls don’t wanna let me be great. So hoping this method will work. Thanks sis.

Brittany Holland: Ty for sharing! I'm mixed and my hair is a S.T.R.U.G.G.L.E! ...Finally trying to get off relaxers and anti-curls but have nooooo idea how to care for my hair without them/ how to make my hair more manageable between washes. This video definitely helps!

Brenda Coleman: You did an amazing job with your hair it looks absolutely beautiful also I love your sense of humor thank you for sharing your video

Rachel Thomas: Loved this video. You are sooo funny and real. Such a good video. I have three natural daughters and then there's me. Girl....THANK YOU!!!!

Yonna Ministries: This was so good and helpful thank you !!

Devin Symone: You did a really great job on your silk press

GIGI: Thank you for the video I bought this flat iron today and this thing works extremely well I have Type 4 hair it’s either b or c unsure but I have not put heat on my hair in over a year so I was worried I wouldn’t get that salon look but my hair layed like a perm (I don’t have one btw) the only thing I would recommend is buying it online if you’re getting it from bath bed and beyond because I went in the store and it was 49.99 but on-line it’s 39.99 best of luck Beautiful Queens

Life With Lay: We have about the same length of hair, but my hair is a looser texture, more like 3c/4a. Also my hair is a little thicker, I love how you’re hair came out, it looks beautiful, I’m going to look into buying that iron, because all the ones I have still leave my hair looking frizzy.

Doris Franklin: Thank you!! Very honest and informative video

Suzanne Claiborne: For the blow dryer attachment I would use much smaller section splitting the 1/4 of your hair into 4 more pieces

Life of kye: Soo pretty I was just looking for a video like this because I'm going to "attempt" to flat iron my hair today thanks

Natashia Azinge: Thank you so much for doing this review! Con air better pay you a fat check, cause I wasn’t gonna buy it after having to swipe past 5 white girls reviewing it. Thank God you were right after cause they were not about to get this $50

priscilla faith: When your hair so kinky it has fast speed internet access

Kelly: I was thinking of cutting my hair since it’s dry as you said yours was and now I’m tempted to do this gained yourself a new sub sis, your hair looks amazing

Lmgera Naeava: Came out sooo BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

Shya Shya: I love the fact that you give different affordable products to use.

Brownskin_x: 4G when she sprayed her hair with water it was curly like 4C,4B hair. Your hair is beautiful, all type 4 and every hair type is HEALTHY HAIR = GOOD HAIR

M Montgomery: Ran across this video looking for a flat iron tutorial and review on the Conair Infinity Pro I just bought to flat iron my 9 yr old daughter's hair.  Wasn't long ago she was cool with my daddy braiding skills (or likely she was just too young to care), but she's all about wearing it straight now and smoove driving me crazy in the process!  I think it's gorgeous either curly or straight, but I'm just a daddy so what do I know?!  Anyway thanks for video and the info Ms. Amor and your hair is gorgeous!

safari gambit: Ma'am you are the perfect combo of funny but educational. Keep up the good work.

Camille Hill-ledford: Girl i am amazed you did such a good job

KAROON BOOMIE: Love your heating tools!!! They are kick ass!!!! ;) I use the same too. Compared to your naturally kinked hair before ~ Afterwards ~ your hair looks freakin AWESOME!!! WOW!!!! Great job!!!

Aqua Mariné: Is it just me or do you love watching the transformation from curly to straight?

Al Vonnie: A good way to stretch your hair would be to plait your hair into 6 or 7 plaits until its 75% or more dry, this way your hair will be really straight before blow drying.

Bfndlsl Cbdns: Gorgeous hair before and after so thick and lushhh

PoohKiie: Much needed video!! Thanks girl

Woah Rissa: About to go grab this flat iron right now!!!

Tedria Denise Hunnecook: Thank you for the video. I appreciate it and your hair came out beautiful. I kind of wish you would have taken one snapshot of ALLthe products used. That is my biggest thing right now, finding the right products for my hair without waisting tons of money buying what doesn't really work. Beautiful turn out!!!!! *subscribed*

A: Man, the tension method hurts my hands lol. My hair holds a lot of water so it takes awhile to dry. Definitely want to straighten my hair soon & I’ll try your advice with getting products with silk!

Jen nifer: Thank you so much for this I’m trying to learn how to straighten African hair for my boyfriend because he really wants to have straight hair. He has such nice natural curly hair but this was so helpful thank you so much!!

River Moon: YASSSS YOU DID THAT SIS...PERFECTION!!!!!!!!

jobenren: Looks gorgeous! I need to check out that flat iron!

Yonna Sol: Love this video & your hair is gorgeous‼️ Can’t wait to try it myself

Alondra Felix: girl YOURE SO PRETTY WTF- man i just washed my hair 2 days ago after having it straight for like 3 weeks ! i wanna do it againnnn

Alexus Louis: The infinity pro long plates might be new but isn’t a new launch but I agree definitely a cheaper dupe for babyliss and yes I own both love both

MattysonDreamland: Your hair turned out fabulous.

King Chameleon’s Eye: omg the thin THIN sections are everything LOVE IT!!! YASSS!

blueisis02: You may have said it already, but what heat setting did you use? You did a LOVELY job!

Regular Black Girl: I’ve been following your hair journey since last year and your hair has FLOURISHED!

Ann Menzzasalma: Beautiful job. Looks professional

Mich D: Wow! Silky, straight, popping.

mikuzu .: Wow what gorgeous hair! Gunna go straighten mines!

R Jones: If I desire to flat iron my hair I will do it in stages. Wash/deep condition/condition and I will let my hair air dry. The next day I will blow dry then straighten. If you are using a blow dryer with an attachment use smaller sections and make sure the hair is detangled that should reduce the amount of heat and time.

Joy Brown: I hollered when she said "is my hair still there???" Lmao i cant

Deidre Dorsey: Great Video. You made it look easy. Thanks.

Tiera Lewis: Your tips helped me achieve my BEST silkiest silk press and I just wanted to come back and say thank you

Lychon Kerr: I got the old infinity iron and I absolutely love it.., definitely getting that new 1

Nevaeh Casson: i have 4C hair too. i just watched this video and ordered these straighteners straightaway. i can't wait for them to arrive and i really hope they work

alwaysontherise1: Great video! There's another that I use to straighten my hair but whether I do it myself or go to the salon the issue remains: HOW do I prevent my scalp from getting dry and flaking on day 2/3 while still keeping the press LAID???!! Haaaaaaaaaallp @Amor Antasia

Chiamaka Okafor: oooh I was already hyped before watching this video! I've been trying to get my hair silk pressed, its been like 3 years and hair salons in my area are pretty expensive. I haven't seen anything less than 50 dollars and with my thick ole hair they are going to charge me like 80!! Besides I'm pretty fearful since I haven't had anybody else other than me do my hair, so I hope with your technique I will never have to think of visiting a salon again!(unless I really have to cause baaaby this hair be putting me through a whole arm workout)

Girls Of Inspiration: Girl?!! Did you say six hours! I’m watching YouTube trying to be all optimistic. Two of my daughters want their hair silk pressed plus mine. I guess I need to be ready for a long day. Thanks for tutorial.

Wendy Wandick: Very beautiful hair and loving the hair growth
