What'S going on guys welcome back to my channel its Bret maverick here, I hope you guys all are having an awesome day so far. Have you ever just been dying to look like Zach, Galifianakis or Napoleon Dynamite? I think we all have at one point. No, but really, I was brainstorming videos and I had this video idea to make a video on ways that you can get through the awkward phase of growing out your hair and one of the ways that I thought up. Thought of was to have curly hair. But you know not everybody's down to just go drop 50 bucks on getting a perm and just damaging your hair and exposing it to all these chemicals and heat, and whatever else might be in that procedure, I don't know so. I turned to the internet and I found a couple of other videos that showed me how you can get curly hair fairly quick. So that's what we're gon na do today. The videos that I saw, one of them, was by Aaron Rhoads of the channel. The Rhodes Bros - I can't quite remember the other video, but if I find it then I'll link it in the description but without further ado. Let'S get right into it. So I just went to Sally's Beauty Supply and I picked up these little rubber bands and it was a dollar and twenty-nine cents. So I know it's in your price range. I hope I really hope. First step we got ta get your hair out next, I'm gon na do things a little differently, a little off script. So what I'm gon na do is wet my hair, a little. I don't want it soaking wet, but I want it just damp enough to where, when it dries, it's gon na stay in that position. You know so I'm gon na get my hair damp, so I'll be right back okay, so I'm back and my hair has been dampened, so I'm ready to roll with this. I guess the first step for this is you have to pick off a section of your hair, so I'm just gon na. Do this front corner section right here? I guess it's. My first time doing this guys so bear with me. Then you take it and you just twist it and you want to twist it so much that the twist actually folds over on itself, so you have to really twist the heck out of it. Okay, so, as you can see, I twisted it so much that it actually collapsed on itself and then I put a little hair tie on. So that's the only one I'm going to show you I'm going to do that to the rest of my hair, probably just the top portion, because the size of my hair aren't quite that long. Yet so we're just gon na curl, the top so yeah I'll be right back when I'm done doing the rest of my hair and then I'll tell you what the next step is. Let'S go. Okay, everyone I'm back from putting the bands in my hair curls. It took about 15 minutes took a little bit of getting used to the first one. It didn't really go too smoothly, but I got about eight or so twists in my hair. Now now I'm gon na do something that I didn't see in the other videos, my secret weapon, hair spray, so I'm just gon na douse my hair with some hairspray just to enforce that curl state of hair, so I'm just gon na go for it. Let'S do this, okay, so I sprayed the curls in my hair. I think they're gon na stay in position. So now I'm just gon na hop in bed. Well, actually, I'm gon na wait for the hairspray to dry first and then I'm gon na hop in bed. Sleep through tonight, hopefully I'll be able to sleep and then in the morning we'll pull the bands out and see what we got. So, let's go to bed guys, hey guys. So it's the following morning: I've had the curls in my hair for about 12 hours or so drinking my coffee, I'm fricking, the tired man, I'm ready to get these things out of my hair. So that's what we're gon na do it hold on so you're gon na take these rubber bands out of my hair and see if I look like Kenny Powers, let's do this thing. We got okay, I think that's all the rubber bands. Now I just got ta kind of frayed out okay, so this is kind of the final result guys it's really curly it's a lot earlier than I thought it was gon na be, but that's what we were going for. So we got a curl, I'm pretty excited with how it turned out. It'S gon na take a little bit of like styling and like and moving around, to get the look that you're going for, but yeah we got curls give this a try. If you're, you know desperate in that awkward hair stage or if you just want to try the curly look or just want to do it for fun or whatever reason. Ray Of Hope Church: Hi Brett. You are awesome in every way. One point to help with hand curling. Curl all the way to the end of the strand so you don't have tails at the end of each curl. Also a let of sponge rollers, little ones ($1.50?) will be certain to get the full strand into the curl. Thanks for really helping guys be real guys.

Christopher Westfall: This made me LOL so hard! Great video. Others have already mentioned that it needs to be curled to the end, but the two things I would add are: 1. The product you need (if any) is setting spray, or maybe even mousse. You dampen each group of hairs right before twisting. 2. While most people sleep with the bantu knots overnight, it's not a good idea because the friction of tossing and turning all night with the rubber bands can snap off hairs. It would be better to use a setting spray and blow dry it (or let it air dry all day on a day you don't have to be seen in public.)
