In this video i'm going to walk you guys through that whole process, washing my hair blow drying it straightening it styling it. How i go to bed with my hair at night, how i wrap my hair up before i get in the shower, so that my edges? Don'T completely puff up, and all of that i'm going to show you guys how i do it all okay. So this is how we're starting out my hair has pretty much just been like untouched for a week, if you guys have been keeping up with my videos that you would have known in my last vlog. That was pretty much the last time i styled my hair. So that was my kind of shooting content for skims video. If you guys haven't seen that one make sure you check it out i'll link the cards this side of that side, i'm not sure which one make sure you guys check out that video but yeah. That was the last time i actually really touched my hair style with it play heat on it or anything. And honestly this week i haven't been doing all the usual things that i do to kind of maintain my sew-in just because i've been working from home and i had nothing to do with this week and honestly this week. I just i don't know. I just have my body on for most of the day, so this is what my hair is looking like today is friday, and today we're going to wash my hair my leave out my bundles my whole sew-in, i'm going to show you guys how i do that, But before we completely get off the topic of last week's video, which is a vlog, i want to know what content you guys want to see from me. So, as you guys can probably tell, i don't want to make every single video a relaxed, hair video, but i still want to incorporate some of those relaxed hair videos every now and then, if you guys have been keeping up my videos, you know i've been putting Out a lot more vlogs and you guys don't seem to want to be watching those as much as the relaxed hair videos. So i kind of want to come to a compromise. What do you guys want to see make sure you comment it down below and just what videos you want to see from me? Let us relax here: content styling, my hair, certain vlogs, certain types of content, whatever it may be, make sure you guys comment that down below so yeah. Now, that's not the way we're going to start with this wash day. So i kind of like to treat my sew-ins as if i was just wearing my actual hair out. So if i can't, i like to wash and deep condition my hair once a week literally just treating it as if it was my actual relaxed hair and we're just going to jump into that so for my shampoo today, i'm going to use the auras olive oil Sulfate free hydrating shampoo and for my deep conditioner, i'm going to use the auras olive oil deep treatment conditioner, i don't know if you guys can tell, but this bottle is pretty much almost empty. I really like the shampoo as just like a good normal go-to shampoo. So also when i have sewns, i make sure i moisturize and seal, i don't do it as often as i would if i just had my actual hair out, because of course i have bundles the different texture. My hair can take a lot more product and oils than these bundles, so i don't do it as often because i don't want to keep on having to restyle my hair as often but yeah. I just like to pretty much treat it as if it was my hair, so we're going to use the shampoo and then we're going to do a deep conditioner we're actually going to sit underneath the soft bonnet dryer. With this, for about 30 minutes, i'm going to rinse it out, i'm gon na let my hair air dry and i actually am going to use a blow dryer. Just a little bit. I like to use a blow dryer more with my sewing just to kind of blend. Everything in together get the hair, all dried and together and just have like a nice fresh face. So in this video i'm going to walk you guys through that whole process, washing my hair blow drying it straightening it styling it. How i go to bed with my hair at night, how i wrap my hair up before i get in the shower, so that my edges don't completely puff up, and all of that i'm going to show you guys how i do it all so right now, i'm Just going to go ahead and go shampoo, my hair and then i'll be back once that is rinsed out and we're about to apply the deep conditioner okay. So i just finished washing my hair. Now we're going to start applying some of this deep conditioner treatment and, of course, i'm just going to focus it mainly on my actual hair, i'm going to put a little bit on the bundles too, but what i really care about is my hair. So i'm just going to start slapping it on make sure i get my edges. This side is hidden a little bit more than the other side. You don't really see the side of my edges with this sew in, but i still want to make sure i apply it everywhere, get the top of my hair going down the actual sew-in too literally all around i'm just going to slap it on and make sure I put some extra right here before i part my hair and then i'm just going to take some down my hair and the bundles just because right now i can't really tell where my hair stops. I mean you know it's not all the way down here, but it could be around here. So i'm just going to make sure i coat all of that too. Now, i'm just going to put on a plastic shower cap get all the hair in there. Now i'm just going to put on the cap that is connected to the soft bonnet dryer and i am going to put it on medium. I tell you guys all the time, i'm using the same soft bonnet dryer, which is the hot shot tools by golden hot, and i like to put mine on medium, because this does get pretty hot. Sometimes i can go up to high. But usually, if i go up to high i'll go back down to medium, so i'm just going to put it on medium sit under here for about 30 minutes and then we're going to rinse all that conditioner out. But before i sit underneath here for 30 minutes, i actually want to film a video answering all of y'all's questions on relaxed hair, whether it's my updated kind of routine, how my hair is doing products for relaxed hair. Some of my favorite products. Any relaxer question comments. You guys have comment down below on this video. I want to do a get ready with me answering all of you guys comments, so, hopefully that video will be coming out soon. If i get enough questions, because this isn't the first time i've asked you guys to leave your comments on one video, i'll kind of get them on tick, tock, sometimes on instagram and dms, underneath certain youtube videos, but i kind of want them all on one video. So i can come back and just answer all of you guys questions so yeah. If you have any questions that you want me to answer about, relaxed hair, make sure you comment them down below on this video, so yeah, that's pretty much it so now, i'm just going to sit underneath here for 30 minutes and just let my hair do its Thing: okay, so my 30 minutes just went up, i'm just going to take off this soft bonnet cap and then i'm going to take off the plastic shower cap and just let my hair cool down and once it does, i'm just going to go and rinse all This conditioner out, so i just finished rinsing out that conditioner, i was about to say shampoo. I finished rinsing out that conditioner. This is what my hair is looking like. I couldn't find the t-shirt. I usually use to kind of t-shirt dry, my hair. By the way, i actually need to order like a towel specifically for drying my hair, but i'm just gon na let my hair air dry for right now, um. It doesn't take too long because right now, it's 7 42! So i'm just gon na let my hair air dry and then i'll be back once we're going to blow dry my hair just a little bit as you do it. My hair is about like 80 to 90 percent dry, so it's gon na. Let my hair dry and then we'll be back when it's time to blow dry okay, so it is hours later. This is what my hair is looking like and it's pretty dry for the most part, especially like my actual leave out right here. That'S like almost 100 dry. It'S about! I don't know 95 dry, so we're just gon na go ahead and just blow dry, my hair just so it can be fully dry. Before i go to sleep and to blow dry, my hair, i'm going to use the revlon. I guess blow dryer brush. I really like this for blow drying my hair, because i feel like it takes a lot less time like i can just get through my whole head of hair and a pretty quick amount of time. So we're just gon na go ahead and do that. But before we blow dry, i'm going to use a little bit of the cantu shea butter thermal shield, heat protectant, as you guys can tell this - is pretty much gone. I actually need to get a new one. I don't know i've been using this for like years and i like it, so i just stick with it, but mainly going to spray it on my actual leave out and then just a little bit all over the hair. Then i'm just going to comb everything through and then before we blow dry, i'm actually going to part my hair, where i think i want it probably gon na fix the part later. Okay, i'm just gon na part, my hair, so my hair can lay in the direction that i want it to go when we actually style it tomorrow. So i'm just gon na fast forward through this part and i'm just gon na blow dry, my hair and get it all the way dry. I finished blow drying my hair. This is what it looks like. I really think that if i just had like some textured bundles - and i just blow dried, it like this it'll be cute and just do my edges, because, even though these bundles are kind of more like, i think it's asian silky straight. Something like that. I don't think my hair looks terrible just blow dry like this, like, if i just had to leave the house, and my hair was just blow dried. I wouldn't be like too concerned about it, also on the topic of bundle shop, black owned businesses. These bundles are actually black owned by a business here in austin texas, so these bundles are from choice. Haircut on a couple of my videos, you guys have asked me where i got the bundles from this. Is the asian silky straight texture? Hopefully, i'm saying that right, but i would highly highly highly recommend these bundles even once getting them installed. The hairstyles was telling me that the bundles were really nice and now that i've worn them probably for, like i don't know, i first started wearing these around my birthday, which was in january now we're in march um. I really like them. I don't have to do much to them. They hold a curl, but still they get really nice and straight. So, if y'all are looking for nice quality bundles, i would definitely recommend this hair brand. So yeah, i have all the information for everything i'm using bundles blow. Dryer soft bonnet dryer, all of that will be in my description box, so make sure you guys check that out. If you want to know where anything is from but yeah, i feel like that's it for today, so we just washed my hair deep conditioned it blow-dried. It oh yeah, i wanted to say i wouldn't always um blow dry, my hair on heat today. I did it just because i'm about to go to bed and i don't want to go to bed on wet hair but say my hair was pretty much all the way dried. I would just go in with the blow dryer on the cool setting just to kind of really blend and brush everything in together. I just like the way that that looks, but today i did go in with a little bit of heat and if you guys noticed, i was mainly focusing it on the bundle so that the bundles in the back of the hair could really dry. For my hair, i just have to do like a couple of passes and also i do like blow drying it when i'm about to style, because i feel like the blow dryer just helps like really further get it straight, so that when i am straightening it, even Though i just do one pass with the straightener, it's just kind of an easier process, so that's pretty much it tonight. I think i might moisturize my hair a little bit yeah, i'm probably going to moisturize a little bit so i'll. Show you guys that i'll show you guys how i moisturize my hair, we're not going to seal it tonight, just because i don't think it's really necessary. I just want to add a little bit of moisture since we just blow dried it and then i'll show you guys how i wrap my hair and i put on my bonnet and then i'll catch you guys in the morning. Okay, so for moisturizer, i'm pretty sure you guys can guess what i'm using. This is my favorite. If you guys watch my videos, you know how much i love this stuff. This one, i don't know like my third fourth bottle, but this is the ors olive oil. Incredibly, rich oil, moisturizing hair lotion hands down my favorite moisturizing lotion. I love this stuff. My hair just takes to it so well. So, since my hair is freshly washed and blow-dried, i'm just going to do a little bit, i feel like with the sew-in. It'S really important to just make sure that your hair stays moisturized, especially because around my edges i do already have some breakage, so i just want to prevent any further breakage and just make sure that my hair is good to go so really just rubbing it in. On my edges, especially like even throughout the week i'll make sure i put a lot especially on this side, because i don't even really style that side, no one sees it. So, let's make sure i really moisturize it. Well, i'm not adding any oil tonight, because this is just the first time i have washed my hair. I don't really feel like it's necessary, but yeah, i'm just doing a little bit, and i really like the way that that stuff soaks into my hair at night, and i find that my actual bundles, take to it. Well, it doesn't really leave them looking oily or anything yeah. I really like to make sure i rub that on my edges and by my part, okay, so this is how i pretty much get my hair ready to go to bed when i'm not styling it. I'M going to show you guys tomorrow how i actually maintain the curls in my style, but for tonight we just want to wrap it up and protect our edges. So i first take my do-rag, and this is how i go to bed whether i have a sew-in or i just have my actual hair out. I do the same thing for both ways: i'm just going to tuck it behind my ear. I just tie it up here, just like that, and now i'm going to take my bonnet - and i really like this bonnet because it has a drawstring and i can tie it so that way i can make sure it doesn't fall off slip off run off my Head in the middle of the night, so i just kind of punch all my hair up and then i tie this just like that and then the extra bow i just tuck it underneath, and that is how i wrap my sew in to go to bed every Night and then tomorrow, night i'll show you guys how i style it at night. So that way i can wake up and i'm good to go, but that's pretty much it for wash day and deep conditioning blow drying all of that i'll catch you guys tomorrow morning. I'M going to brunch so we're going to style our hair together, even though i showed you guys in a previous video, since this is just like a whole kind of how i do my sew-ins, i'm going to show you guys again how i get kind of my Signature go-to curls that pretty much lasts me all week. Of course, they're going to be a lot looser at the end of the week, but i also know how to kind of maintain them throughout the week with the style. When i go to bed but yeah, we will finish everything tomorrow and i'll. Show you guys how i get the curls hey everyone good morning, so it is the next day it is sunday. It'S definitely not sunday, it's saturday, but i just took a shower and took my hair out of the bonnet and dragged, and this is where we're at today. So i'm just gon na start on straightening my leave out since we are curling my hair, i'm not gon na actually straighten the bundles. I'M just gon na straighten my hair, so it can blend nicely with the rest of the unit. So first i'm just going to really decide where i want my part to be, and then we can start straightening. I don't know why, but i always have the hardest time getting the part. Just how i want it. I think i'm going to curve it right here. Yeah my hair feels pretty good since we didn't moisturize it last night. My edges feel pretty good. They don't feel like they're just hard and dry and it's going to break off. I hate when my edges feel like that. I just feel good hair feels good. So i feel like we're ready to start styling. I'M just gon na. Do one pass over each section, i'm taking small sections, then i'm gon na go back in with that heat protectant. So, as you guys can tell i'm taking a really thin section and then i'm just gon na start straightening make sure i get all the way up to the root. I'M just going to do that with all of my leave out and then we'll come back once. That part is done, that's pretty much it for straightening my leave out now. I can actually start styling and curling the hair. This is how i've been filling my hair. Pretty much every single time i curl it it's the same way. I did it in my last get ready with me, but since this is just one video showing you guys how i kind of take care of my sew-in, i'm just going to do it a little bit here too. So the one i'm using is the remington shine therapy. I just randomly got this at target. I think it was like 25. I just got it because i needed something to curl my hair with, but surprisingly, i think it actually works pretty well so um. If you want an affordable, curling wand, i would actually recommend this one. So i'm just going to start taking small sections of my hair. I find that when i take kind of smaller sections with this, it looks a little bit better, especially because the wand isn't that big and again on my hair, wherever i have leave out, i'm going to go in with a little bit more heat, protectant and just Comb it through and honestly. This is very easy. I feel, like anyone can do this, i'm just going to take the wand and curl my hair around you don't have to hold it too long, especially when it's more my hair than the actual bundles. I don't hold it for too long and then you just drop it, and then you have a curl just like that, and i actually like to pin them up. I just feel like it gives it more of a bouncy look and it holds a lot better. So i just take the curl like that and i'm just going to wrap it all the way up and then i'm going to take a bobby pin and i'm just going to pin the curl in place. So i'm going to go ahead and do that all over. My hair and then i'll come back once my makeup is done, we'll take out the pens and we'll see the final look kind of brush the curls in and i'll show you guys what i like to use on my edges and then yeah they'll kind of be The final styling for today and then later on today after i come back home, i'm going to show you guys how i kind of wrap my hair so that my hair stays nice and flat when i take a shower and how i heatless style, my hair at Night, so that way, when i wake up in the morning, my hair is already good to go so first we're just going to go ahead and style, my hair and then i'll be back when it's time to take out the pins. I just finished pinning up all my curls. This is what it looks like feel like i didn't do the neatest job, but i'm still pretty confident that's going to come out cute at the end, so i'm going to go ahead and do my makeup. I'M a little bit ahead of schedule. So that's good and do my makeup then, once that's done we're going to come back and take out all the pins and just finish up the final hairstyle, okay y'all. So i pretty much just finished doing my makeup i'll say doing my hair. I struggled with my makeup so much today. It'S because i really need a new spoolie for see. It just came off a spoolie for my eyebrow, this eyebrow. I hate it, but good thing. We have a bang going this way, so it's going to cover up most of that and then i'll just have a complication. I don't know today wasn't my day in terms of my makeup, so please fingers crossed. I hope that my hair comes out good, i'm just going to start taking the pins out, so we can see what we're working with okay, that one's good. So far, can you guys see that little bounce right there? So it's going to take them out all over and then we can actually like comb it all out and do my edges, okay. So this is what my hair looks like after i took out all those pins now, i'm just gon na start combing through it, because obviously i don't want it to be this tight. I like to start off with them really tight, because then they just fall throughout the day and they look a little bit nicer. So if you guys want to actually see how today goes or i'm going to brunch and all of that then make sure you catch um, next week's vlog channel your post notifications, because i'm also vlogging today at the same time i'm making this video, i feel, like That'S okay for right! Now, i'm going to go ahead and do my edges because i'm not trying to spend all day on my hair. Okay, i have to go all the way to my car for edge brush, but i'm using. Let me actually tell you the edge gel i'm using this is the originals by africa's best honey and caster edge gel. I really like this stuff i feel like it just holds my hair in place, so i'm going to use this as like an edge control today and i'm just going to start scooping my hair. Everything is just cooperating so well right now, because i freshly washed my hair yesterday, so that first time you slicked on your edges, it's probably the best time, and then this last one i'm just gon na kind of comb behind my ear. Also another thing i really like about this gel is that it dries down and i feel like it holds pretty well where you put it. So that's my edges, okay, so that's that now i'm going to take a little bit of a wax stick just to get some of those flyaways that are up top. I just like to take this wax. Stick all over the top of my hair for just any flyaways and just smooth everything down and together that's pretty much how i wash blow dry and style, my hair when it is in a sew-in and then later on tonight, i'm going to come back before i Go to bed, i'm gon na show you guys how i maintain these curls so that tomorrow i can just wake up and go so i'll catch you guys later on today, so i am back from brunch just being out. I really got home around like 8 30.. I was out all day but anyways. I went ahead and took off my makeup and i took a shower and i want to say one important thing to maintaining your sewing and not having to use as much heat on your hair is wrapping your hair up before you take a shower. So i like to use kind of this velcro wrap like that, so i can really make sure that my edges stay flat. You really just want to kind of compress your edges and your hairline so that it stays flat. You don't really give it room to kind of puff back up, so i also like to leave it on for about 10 minutes after i get off the shower just to make sure that my hair has cooled down all the way and that i really don't allow It to kind of puff back up again so now, i'm just going to comb it out. I'M going to show you guys how i maintain my curls throughout the week without having to curl my hair every day. So first, i'm actually going to moisturize my hair. A little bit again, i'm also going to seal my edges just a little bit, so i did freshly straighten my hair and everything today, so i don't want to put too much product on it. I really just like to make sure that my edges stay moisturized and i find that when i'm putting like edge control on them every day, it's kind of okay to add a little bit of oil, because i don't know it just works. It allows me to refresh my edges every day and it just soaks into the hair. So i feel like the actual top of my hair and my actual leave out is fine. So i'm really just focusing this on my edges again, i'm just using that aura s. Incredibly, rich oil, moisturizing hair lotion just putting it all right there, especially on this side, because i don't really do anything with this side, so i just want to make sure it stays moisturized and then i'm just gon na seal with a little bit of avocado oil. I, like avocado oil, because i feel like it's kind of light and it doesn't make my hair super oily and when i'm having styles, where my hair is actually out, i still want to be able to seal my hair, but i don't want it to be. Like dripping in oil and then i'm gon na go in with this little kind of hair growth, serum oil concoction that i made i'll leave the comment down below of the girl who commented on one of my youtube videos, one of my relaxed hair updates um. When i was saying i have like that little bald spot in the middle, so i'm not going to use a lot of this, because this does have some castor oil and that's a little bit thicker. I just want to make sure i'm caring for my edges when i still have these kind of styles. So i'm really just doing a little bit on my fingertips and i'm just rubbing that in pretty much all across my hairline, as you guys can tell my hair. Doesn'T look oily or anything, i'm really just focusing it on the edges, i feel like that's good. I like when my curls are loose like this. That'S kind of why i do those pin curls early in the day and they fall and they kind of hold like this throughout the rest of the day. So to maintain my curls, i'm going to use this headband ruler, you can get these on amazon. This specific one is from a hair company that i collabed with, but it's literally the same as the other one that i got from amazon, so i'll have a link down below of where you guys can purchase this. But i really do like this kind of headband roller. First of all, it's a lot more comfortable to sleep in than flexi rods, and it's just really quick and easy. I, like things that are quick and easy, doesn't require much thought, so i'm just going to clip it down on the side, so it can stay in place. While i start wrapping the other side, so all you have to do is take a section and you wrap it around the rod. You pick up some more hair and just keep on wrapping it around the smaller your sections, the more defined your curls gon na, be so i'm gon na start off with pretty small sections, because i like for my curls to be tight and kind of drop throughout The day, so, i'm literally just going to start wrapping my hair around go around pick up some more hair again, keeping somewhat small sections pick up some more hair go around. I was going to do this all the way down on both sides and then once you get to the end, you're just going to take a scrunchie and that's how you secure it, i'm just going to do the same thing on the other side. This is what my hair looks like once i finished wrapping it around the rod. Now i'm just going to wrap my hair the same way. I did last night i'm going to take my do-rag with this one, i'm just going to tie it in the back kind of like this and then go back around. I know this might look weird, but i promise you it's actually really comfortable to sleep on then. I just tie it and with these two little ends, i'm just going to kind of take them and cross them in the back. Just like that, and i'm just going to put my bonnet on top and cross them underneath my bonnet and then i'm just going to tie it up and that's pretty much how i maintain my curls throughout the week and at night without having to add heat on My hair, the amount of times i had heat on my hair throughout the week is probably once or twice and that first time being, when i first style my hair and the second time is like, if i just want a quick touch up or if i'm going Out something like that, but i really don't find that i have to actually add any more heat to my hair, especially when i'm wrapping it. When i get in the shower - and i keep it on - and i let my hair cool all the way down and when i do my hair like this at night, it just kind of maintains the style throughout the week. So yeah, that's pretty much it of how. I maintain my curls throughout the week i'm going to go to bed and then i'll wake up in the morning and i'll. Take these down i'll show you guys what my hair looks like so i'll see you guys tomorrow, okay, so it is the next morning. I'M not gon na lie. I am very tired. I stayed up late last night, we're gon na go ahead and take this roller out and see what my hair ends up. Looking like, i'm also trying to film a tic toc of me taking this down. So if i'm looking over there, that's why? But i feel like it's gon na, come out pretty good today. So far, so good, i'm just gon na start, combing them out okay. So this is how my hair looks initially when just taking it out of those rods and combing it out a little bit. I think so far so good, especially this side. I feel like this side um. I just don't like how there's that little curve right there. So i'm going to press that out very quickly, i'm just going to put my straightener on literally the lowest heat setting, i'm just going to like tap that out really quickly. That just depends on honestly how you wrap your hair. So i think, next time, when i do it, i'm just going to wrap it a little bit lower, so the curl starts kind of down here and not all the way up here, i'm just going to keep on combing it out, of course, eventually, throughout the day, The curls will drop. That'S why i also kind of like start with them a little bit tighter just same way. I did yesterday we're gon na press that part out just a little bit literally one pass, and i'm just gon na. Do my edges a little bit and then we'll be ready for the final look, so i'm just going to take it right here. So literally, just those two little passes and i'm done i just like for that area to be straight instead of kind of curling right there. So i think that that looks better. Then i'm going to take the same edge gel from yesterday and i'm just going to do my edges just a little bit. This isn't something i do every day, i'm just kind of doing it on camera, but honestly, usually like every day, i'm not really going anywhere. I don't always do my edges or i'll just brush them out with whatever is already on my hair, so yeah, that's pretty much it that's how i maintain my sewing throughout the week, how i take care of my relaxed hair. While i also have a sew-in all of that, i feel like it's pretty easy, pretty standard for the most part, just pretty much treat the sew-in as if it is your real hair, wash it once a week and deep condition it. I would say if you don't have to blow-dry it just let it air dry all the way and then style the next day or just later on in the day and then just find like a heatless style that you like to do at night. So that way, when you wake up in the morning, you're just good to go, usually i don't even have to do that little straining piece right there. It'S just how i curled it last night, but if you really figure out how you like to wrap your hair, and so it looks the way that you want in the morning then you're good to go. I really like the way that these curls come out and it's really easy for me to do, and i really like them, because it's just comfortable to sleep on so i honestly prefer kind of that headband roller over flexi rods. But if you want to do like some plexi rods in the front, some of the bag, a headburn roller or if you want to do sock, rollers or something like that, whatever works for you. I just feel like it's nice to have like a heatless style that you can use one so that you don't have to use as much heat on your hair, but two, so you can just wake up and you're good to go so yeah! That'S pretty much it!
