Soft Loose Ringlets On Natural Hair | Heatless Curls

I posted a photo of this style to my Instagram page a couple of months ago! I got a lot of requests to explain how it was achieved, so here is the official tutorial! Utilizing more of the traditional bantu knot out, which is something I don't usually do, to create beautiful, soft ringlet curls overnight! Perfect for holiday gatherings, office parties, or just for everyday glam! I hope you enjoy! Happy Holidays!

Hey guys, I'm starting out on super old stretched hair for this one. This is based off an old Instagram photo of mine, originally set on Roller set hair, but this will have to do. There is no way I'm about to do a roller set tonight. So, first things: first, I'm creating a deep side, part from volume. Hey look at that. We'Ve got more volume, already sweet, we're gon na grab a huge section; basically the entire left side of my hair and secure the rest out of the way. Next, I finger to tangle the section thoroughly. We need to remove Sarai's a section, but we don't want the hair to revert so instead of spraying, the hair directly, I'm gon na spritz my hand once and then I work the hair in from ends to route. This allows me to apply as little or as much water as I want we're going to seal the moisture in with a bit of styling cream, i'm using shea butter and again working it in from ends to route, i'm going to split the section in half, so I don't lose too much definition and working in the bottom section. First, i begin twisting the hair from roots to end and pulling the hair downward with each twist. Once I reach the end, I give it a quick spritz of water to really make sure its moist and then twist it up. Then I just wrap the hair into a bantu knot. Tightening the twist as I go, if necessary, now grab that top section and repeat, but instead of twisting right out from the root I'm going to smooth the hair downward and tame my edges by twisting at the hairline gently. This will also give me a more natural looking curl that doesn't start right out from the root once all the hair has been added, continue twisting down the section like normal, give it a spritz towards the ends and then wrap it into a loose hanging, bantu knot. So now we grab another large section in the back and repeat the same process: finger detangle, split that section in half one spritz of water, shea butter to steal from ends to root twist the hair and then wrap it into a bantu knot. As I wrap the knots, I try to keep them loose hanging and not too tight to the head. This makes them easier to sleep on now, just repeat that same process all over the head. Now, when I get to the front, I always tame my post partum shed edges by gently twisting the hair downward and again this also helps the curls fall more naturally to frame my face when you're done, you should have a bunch of chunky, Bantu nuts, well satin Scarf and bed the next morning just release the knots and section carefully, since this is a more traditional bantu knot. Oh, unlike how I usually do it, I need to gently separate each curl to create volume I like to leave thick sections, so I'm not messing with the curl pattern too much. Also, I like to reinforce the curl pattern by twirling the section around in my finger. This gives me the look of loose ringlets, I like to add a bit more volume at the crown by creating smaller sections and once you're done. You'Ve got really natural-looking loose ringlets perfect for the office holiday parties every day, glamazon Aang, you know the yoozh alright guys. So I hope this helps and I'll see you in the next one happy holidays like easy, DIY beauty, treatments well, tame your rough dry skin this winter with my simple coffee body, scrub click, the link to check out the video over my style channel and get into The holiday spirit over on my vlog channel, as we decorate our sad little Christmas tree I'll, see you guys there

J S: I can officially say that Naptural's videos have improved sooo much! All the effort she puts into her videos PAYS OFF.  I mean can you imagine setting up the camera almost every time you do your hair? Can you imagine planning and setting up every scenario and acting them out? Can you imagine putting together these videos? Editing, Restoring, trimming, adding music, improving audio, and then making a script and voicing out the precise instructions??? A video might say 5 min at the bottom, but it must take hours to complete it --from planning to uploading. It's astonishing how much she puts into these videos...

Danae Verba: Thank you for this post!  I followed your instructions exactly.  The result was the BEST bantu-knot-out I've ever done.  Compliments all day, even the second day.  I wasn't sure what to do to protect the curls, so I threw up my hair into a top-pony/pineapple.  The texture around my face was destroyed :-(  so my 2nd day style included a headband.  3rd day hair was a cute high-ponytail. I do wish the results were easier to preserve overnight...  Any tips?

Dianna A: Hi Naptural85! I just have to say I love your vlogs. I have been natural for years but never really took care of my hair. Over the years I'd wash and twist, straighten, or ponytail my hair and that was about it. My hair has really suffered for it. I have really thick, kinky-coily, semi-long hair. Recently its been looking super dry and I've had a lot of breakage. Last week I discovered your page and have been obsessed. I binged watch most of your videos and began the hair care regime (pre-poo, wash routine, co-wash, & moisturizing processes ). Last night I tried the Ringlets/Bantu knots for the first time and was pleasantly surprised this morning. Honestly, I was expecting a disaster when I woke cause I had no idea what I was doing. I say all this to say THANK YOU SO MUCH & PLEASE KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING! You have a fan for life in me.

Jean Marie Beauty: Love this! You're amazing! One question, how does your hair look by the end of the day with this style? How do you preserve this look?

Jay Dee: That is so pretty. Can't wait til my hair is long enough for this style.

Lovingdeenaturally: absolutely beautiful!!!!

Shortcake39553: Wow, I will definitely try this style!

TressesOfAlexis: Perfection as usual
