Hey y'all back with another video: this is not a hairstyle video, obviously, as you can see from the title, but I'm going to go through my hair care routine. I keep getting questions about. You know. How do you do this? When do you do that and the timing of things, so I think it's easiest to just do a comprehensive video tell you guys what my entire routine is and then all those questions will hopefully be answered. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to go through an entire month, I'm going to break it down by week so four weeks and then I'm going to break it down by day so seven days. So, let's just pretend the Week starts on the 1st of the month on a Sunday and then that the last day of the month ends on a Saturday and it's like the 30th, we'll just do it that way, so it's easier to just break everything down. So, let's go okay so day, one of the month and of the week, so it would be a Sunday and what I do on Sundays, wash my hair condition my hair style, my hair, so wrap it sit down to the dryer, let it dry! If I'm going to style it or curl it, I go ahead and do that if I'm going to wear it flat, then I just come from under the dryer I moisturize my hair with coconut oil after it's dry from the wrap. I a lot of times will just finger through it like this or I'll take a wide rate coma break through it, and then that night I will just add a little more coconut oil to my hair, wrap it like I've shown you guys, my nighttime wrap routine. Put my cotton scarf on it, I go to bed, that's what I do so that would be Monday. I will wear my hair that way, Tuesday. I would wear my hair that way and then on Wednesday, after work that night, when I shower, I would do the same thing again so wash my hair again conditioned my hair again and then I would mold it again sit under the dryer and then wrap it For bed and go to bed and then I would wear my hair Thursday that way Friday. That way, and then usually Friday nights. I don't do my hair, meaning I don't wrap it. I don't prep it for bed. I don't do anything to my hair. I don't add coconut oil to my hair that night at all every other night of the week before I wrap my hair. I add coconut oil to my hair or olive oil to my hair, so I moisturize every night except Friday. Friday is like my free-for-all, like I get to just sleep without a wrap on my head, I get to just be free and that's what I do. I go to bed Friday night so Saturday, most times I have on a beating and if I run errands or you know, do whatever it is that I do on Saturdays. My hair is usually in a hat, because I don't do my hair on Saturday, so that would be week one of the week. That'S what I would do, okay week, two starting on a Sunday again. What I would do is this is the week. I would do my partial relaxer, so I will go ahead like I've done the video on before separate my hair. Do my partial relaxer to the back? I don't usually do the edges sometimes, but mainly the back of my hair. If I'm going to do the edges, then just along the hairline here rinse my relaxer out, I would wash it with a mop with a moisturizing shampoo condition. It with my moisturizing conditioner, wrap and mold my hair as normal sit under the dryer, and then that would still be the same thing. I would monster eyes with coconut oil. When I come from under the dryer Sunday night, I would wear my hair Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and then Wednesday night. I would wash my hair again condition my hair again mold. It again wrap it and go to bed and remember every single night, except for Friday night. I'M adding coconut oil or matting to my hair, so moisturize every night, so that goes without saying that would be week two of the month. That'S what I would do! Okay week three. I would do exactly the same thing as week, one so starting on Sunday wash condition wrap. My hair sit under the dryer, come out finger through the mold and coconut oil. To my hair. That'S what I would do now on Wednesday of week three I would wash then, instead of using my moisturizing conditioner, I would use a protein conditioner like the Auris protein treatment comes in the yellow packets. I would add that to my hair, let that sit for the required amount of time rinse that out and then on top of that I will go back in with my moisturizing conditioner that I normally use rinse that out, then I would just do the same thing: Wrap my hair molded sit underneath the dryer come out where that Thursday, with moisturizing and every night wear it Friday, not moisturizer Friday, night wear my hat all day Saturday and then go back into the next week of Sunday. So at this point we're on week, four of a month, so imagine one two three. You know four weeks of the month right now we're on week four. So this would be the week that I would relax my whole head. So what I would do is on my Sunday I will go in and prep my hair, like I do for relaxer. So I would add a lot of moisture to my hair. I would do my pre, you know relaxer routine, of adding the coconut oil letting it sit on my hair. I'Ve done a video on that, so I would do that routine. I would relax my entire head Sunday and yes, when I relax my whole head, I go back over the portion that I did the partial relaxer on. That is what I do. My hair can take that if your hair cannot take that chemical process that you know soon back to back, then don't do it just only relax the part of your hair that you didn't touch when you did the partial relaxer. This is just what I do and again the other parts of my hair that I'm really putting a chemical on frequently is the back, because I do the partial and then two weeks later, I do a whole head, and you have to think about how short this Is and how frequently I cut it, so is it damaged probably, but do I cut the damage off, probably once every four to six weeks when I cut my hair? Yes, I do so it's not a big deal. I would never overlap that frequently on the longer parts of my hair, but I do apply my full head of relaxer, including the back when I do my whole head relaxer, which would be the fourth week of the month, and I would rinse that relaxer out. I would do my regular moisturizing wash my shampoo. I would wrap and style my hair the same when it's dry. I come from under the dryer and my coconut oil to my hair wrapping for the night and then we go on about the week the same. I would wear my hair Monday, Tuesday, and then that Wednesday I would do my same wash routine Wednesday night wash it conditioned it. Molded sit under the dryer, come from under the dryer and moisturize my hair do my nighttime wrapping and then I will go to bed and that's pretty much what I do now. I do want to say this. I do the protein treatment that I talked about. I only do that once every like two months or every three months, so I really just gauge it by how my hair is behaving. It'S not so much set on a time schedule as it is set on. If I need to do it or not, my hair is protein sensitive. I have low porosity hair, so I don't need a lot of protein. I really need moisture more than I need protein. That'S why I consistently use moisturizing shampoos and conditioners, especially with relaxed hair, because you've broken down that hair strand and from my particular hair type. That means you stripped out the moisture that would normally be in that strand. So for me, it's moisture over protein, but I can tell in my hair needs protein and then I go ahead and I do my RS protein treatment. That'S a light protein treatment. It works for me maybe twice a year. I also will go in and do like an effigy protein treatment. That'S the two-step protein treatment, that's a heavier dosage of protein, which is why don't do it frequently, but I do like it. It works really really well and if I color my hair in summer, which normally I do I just didn't this summer, then I use that Apogee protein treatment a lot more than I would when my hair is just jet-black like it is now. So I would probably do it three to four times a year if my hair were colored as opposed to one or two times when my hair is not colored. So that's it guys. I mean my routine is pretty simple: it's very consistent um, which is why I think my hair does as well as it does with me not going to a salon because um, you know, I'm very, like I said consistent with it and that tributes to my hair. Being healthy and trim it regularly, I moisturize my hair regularly. I apply protein when necessary, and so my hair has a nice balance um, even though anytime you apply chemicals, your hair is technically damaged. My hair is not as healthy with the relaxer as it would be. If I were just natural with no chemical in my hair, so because of that, you do have to be consistent and take care of your hair for it to be in its optimum healthy state as optimal as it can be with a relaxer. That'S all. I do guys like when I come at them, which was normally well. I found sometimes during the week and sometimes I feel my weekends, but when I film - and I save you guys in the comments all the time like I don't curl my hair, unless I'm filming, I really mean that so when I come on here and do styles For you guys, like that's when I'm curling my hair and you know putting heat to my hair and doing styles and adding you know hairspray and product to my hair, because my regular get up and go to work routine, super simple! Even if I curl it, it would be curl like this and feather, and that's my Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, hair or my Thursday, Friday hair. So you can keep it really simple and your hair will stay really healthy and that way, if you want to jazz it up - and you want to do something really special on a weekend or a special occasion - you can. Your hair is going to look amazing because it's super healthy and if you've been watching the videos, then you're going to know how to do something amazing to your hair. So I hope that helped. I hope that answered all the questions for you guys. If you have more questions, please feel free to leave them below. I have no problem, answering questions or doing a follow-up video to this. If I get, you know too many questions to address in the comment section - and I hope you guys really enjoy this and always thank you for watching. Thank you for supporting and subscribing and sharing my videos and until next time, bye
