Hi, welcome to my youtube channel the relaxed cow beauty channel and in this video I'm going to be sharing with you how I cross wrap my hair, so you may be asking what is this cross wrapping she's talking about I'm totally confused, okay, so cross wrapping is Just the non-traditional way of wrapping your hair, essentially you just part your hair down the middle. You have two sides that you then wrap up on the opposite side of your head. It'S pretty simple and may sound complicated, but once you see my tutorial it'll be a piece of cake so to cross wrap your hair you'll want to make sure you have a few things on hand. Three important things are bobby pins to hold your hair in place. A comb in case you need to do any detangling and then a satin or silk wrap to actually wrap your hair up in, and then there are a couple of optional things that you may want to have on hand as well. If you need to moisturize and seal your hair, you want to make sure you have your moisturizer on hand. It can be a liquid or cream moisturizer. You may want to use both if you want to do the loc method and then you will also need - or I like to have anyway, a sealing oil which is the natural world. This is sunflower oil. Now, I'm going to show you how I actually go ahead and wrap my hair. Now, every night I wrap my hair, I don't always need to moisturize and seal, so I'm not even gon na go through that part of this with you um, I'm just gon na show you literally higher up my hair, because I tend to just wrap it at Night, I don't always have to moisturize and seal all right, so I take my hair and I will run my fingers through it just to make sure it's detangled, my hair. It should be pretty detangled at this point because I just washed it last night. So I go through and then, if I like have a lot of new growth or something I sometimes we may use the comb I'll. Do my fingers through first and then kind of go through with the comb just to make sure that everything is detangled. I just don't want it to be tangled up when I'm wrapping it. Okay now, for the fun part, the reason why you're here we actually cross wrapping my hair. I start by dividing it down the middle into two Sections kind of like to pick tails and I take those two sections and I basically cross them in the back so that they end up on opposite the opposite side of my head. And then I take each one of those pigtails and you see here with the first one, I'm securing it to my head with a hair, pin or a bobby pin. My hair is a bit thick and can be kind of heavy. So sometimes, depending on how my hair wants to act, one pin hairpin may not be enough. I may need more than one so in this case I'm using two. Then I take the next section and I just take it and I secure that to the other side of my head and I secure it using a hair pin as well and then after I've secured my hair and kind of wrapped it around my head. I take the actual satin wrap and I placed that on my head and then wrap it around as just as needed make sure my hair is flat underneath that the ends are flat and not getting all crunched up. Underneath I wrap it around my wrap the wrap around my head tie it in the front: let's get it nice and tight there, so it doesn't move or come off in the middle of the night and voila alright. So my hair is all wrapped and I still have the bobby pins and my hair now sometimes I keep them in, but most of the time I take them out and you're probably wondering how do you do that if your hair is already wrapped well all I Do is I feel to where the bobby pins are, and I just push them down so they're a bit looser and and reach up under the wrap and pull them out. So I do that on one side and we're gon na, do it on the other side shoot. That'S it that's how simple it is to cross from / here, thanks for watching. I hope you enjoyed this video.
