Today I am going to try to curl my daughter's hair using straws. I have never done this before so I'm a little curious to see how it turns out. Let'S get started, although I'm using this heatless chromatid on my daughter. You could totally do this yourself. There are quicker heatless methods for different curl patterns, for example, in our last hair video. We use socks and that was more of a loose curl, but it was super fun and fast. The straws are gon na give a different curl pattern and then using socks, because the straws are super skinny. Your curls will turn into like coils. So that's gon na look really cool after we're done doing that. The girls are gon na use the straws and do an art project, but first we're gon na start on the hair. All right, I am fully prepared for this. We'Re gon na get started again. You can do this, your own hair, but I will be doing this to Sophia. She has beautiful hair and she loves playing around with it and doing fun. No fun hairstyles, so she's excited to try this out. You can do this on any hair type straight or curly, I'm doing on Sophia, because her hair is straight and I think it will show that you can get even straight hair super curly, the coil kind of curly, so we'll see how it goes. I'M gon na go ahead and split her hair and start on this side. I have my water bottle, so I'm just gon na be spraying her hair as I go and throw in the straws one because he got my straws here. I'M gon na split her hair. Where her part is not exactly down the middle but where she usually likes to part her hair and then I'll just focus on one side of the hair for now tie this back so that it is out of my way. I'M gon na first put her bangs off to the side and we'll do those last, but I'm gon na start with her hair with the top piece. Just sorry, just gon na grab a little piece like that. Get it a little damp then get your straw. I'M gon na put it right on there like that and just wrap it around coil. It all the way around and then bend it right there, I'm photographing just end and then I'll put a band on this end, yeah your first one. So we'll just continue this all the way on the top of the crown of her head. We'Ll continue, you don't have to use straws, I'm using straws. This is what I have. You can use a pen, so you could use just something small and, like a cylinder, will work one of the biggest complaints with doing this method. It takes a little bit more time, but I think it's worth it because it gives it a really unique look. So since Sofia has long hair, the length of these straws is perfect, but if you have shorter hair, you could cut the straws in half, so you don't have like masses amount of plastic sticking out of your head and that can work. Okay, now that the top part is done, we are gon na continue these rows all the way down to the side of her head. So far so good, I mean its first time and I think it's turning out pretty good, so we just finished up this hair. It did take about 15 minutes to finish this. She does have more hair on this side, since her part is not directly in the middle, so this side will go quicker if you're doing it by yourself, it probably will take a little bit longer. But honestly, I thought I was gon na take like a lot longer to do like half your head, so we're in finish up and see how it looks. Okay, now that we're done the next step is to let it dry. You could, if you wanted to just blow-dry it, and that would be the fastest way. But if you want to do a no heat, you could let it sit for a couple hours and that could dry, but we are gon na. Let it sit overnight to completely just dry it out and then we'll see what it looks like tomorrow. I I don't know what its gon na look like. I think it's just gon na be super curly yeah all right it is. The big reveal we're gon na. Take all these straws out and see how Sophia looks now Sophia did sleep in it overnight. How did it go? It was kind of uncomfortable and then, when I woke up it felt like better. I felt better yeah, okay, so gyros gon na help me she's gon na hold everything. Basically, she just wants to be here to see. To see your first hand, then we'll be using the straws later on for some fun activity, yeah all right Sophie. Are you ready? Yes, all right, just gon na slide each rubber band off? First, the top and bottom bands, when you take it off you're, just going to unroll it like this twist. It give it a little twist. There you go there, we go sorry, you seen it yet. Oh great turn your head sideways! Oh okay! Dad you see! I see that yeah. Can you see that? Do you see that that is so cute? I did think it was gon na do this, but I honestly didn't know how that co2 feel it hey. Let'S not start to now. Let'S see some more yes, I know. That'S true, her hair was like super long. The aliens were friendly long like down here and it's like half the size Sophia. I could have any hair by side. We'Re done now. You know when people have curly hair, you think their hair is like short, but honestly, their hair is like long and it just looks short because it's so curly yeah. So if your hair is short, your hair's gon na be really short trying. This Wow, like a spider, related, it's like a spider like we wrapped it around some kind of like triangle where, like a square okay, we do not want to get frizzy. So Oh trust me Sofia. This is gon na get frizzy. It is yes, it's gon na get like that, you're being via the last one yeah. Okay, I have to show you guys what this looks like a little bit more look at this yep. You can see. I keep doing head again. Okay, these curls are incredible. I would everything you can get curls that look. You should do tiny, perfect little curl. Some of these I wrapped a little thicker than others, so I think you can get like three out of one curl or maybe for some of these are thicker, but I'm not gon na brush it don't brush whoa this one yeah feels so good. Your new touches your yes, I do what I noticed that helps a lot to separate it. You just kind of pull it and grab it and it separates nice. I noticed that, if you're just to try separate it with it, tight like that, it will tangle up. So just straighten it a little bit and bring your hand and it pulls right off. Okay and then look stand up. I split all of the thick curls and made it very full, so I'm just kind of kind of it's better. If you have a pick to do this, but I'm gon na use my hands and kind of loose get a little loose. I just can't believe how thick your hair is and curly looks. Good. Okay, all right, um, we're gon na show the rest of the family. Your hair, okay, okay, this floor is covered in bras and rubber band. Okay, it's a little messy, but you know the results are amazing. Look you see Sophia right. Let'S do it! Oh it's like a poodle. I didn't think it was gon na be like that. No, that is, do you like that yeah, it's like really poofy. It really is yeah Wow. I like it. I can't that one like half the size, um yeah, it's shrunk. So much look at all these rubber bands. Yeah a ton of rubber bands straws all right. We are picking up all the straws because we have a fun art project, we're gon na do with the kid I have my canvas right here that we're going to use. So let's get started all done. The kids finished it. This was actually Savannah's idea. She looked online to find ideas what to do with these cut straws, but she made this up on her own yeah. I couldn't find anything to do with, like straws cut them up or anything so like I'll, just throw them on a canvas maker. That'S good idea! So the girls love it. So since we're here in quarantine, we thought it might be a good idea to do another QA. This will be our second one. Ever we love doing QA the last one we did was a lot of fun. So if you guys have a question for us, please put it down in the comments with your name and where you're from it's cool, to see where everybody's from we will give you guys a shout out when we answer your questions so they'll be fine. The Moore The Merrier Vlogs: Ask your question below and don’t forget to hit that like button for Micah-Man! Have a blessed week!

Kiritu George: Happy to see straight hair community members fully appreciating shrinkage But even beyond the amazing results you got for those straw curls, the filming, music and editing of this video is top notch. Props to you for such a high quality video. And the fun activity at the end is definately something I'll try for myself. Beautiful DIY home deco that prevents adding plastic to the environment.

sue-ellen joseph: It's nice when experiments like this is done. Its helps you to understand other people and cultures. As black people with textured hair. We also do this but just for a different structure of curls. Your baby looked like a naturally curly girl. You did well. Love it.

cloe obretenov: this is EXACTLY what i was looking for and yall did it FLAWLESSLY ps. your camera quality is ❤️

Amy Ralls: So adorable! She really looked sassy with her super curls! Your idea of the art project to re-use/recycle the straws was fantastic! The girls should sign their beautiful piece of art, and, of course, it needs to be dated as well! I've gotten some wonderful art thru the years from nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends kids. Many of them I forgot to date, and now a lot of them have kids of their own, and I kick myself for not dating some to share with their kids what Mom or Dad created when they were the age of their kids now!! It's so easy to forget how fast time can fly!!! Keep those projects going! These shared times with your children will go a long way when it comes time for your children to share with you some of the important things that may be happening in their lives as they grow older, and life becomes more complicated!!

Aleksandra: I was feeling rather uneasy about all that straws left but then you used it to make art in such a creative way and my heart is so happy now.

my life is a mess: I love these curls, they look adorable on Sophia! You're an amazing family,so much sweetness and beauty I'm gonna try this! P.s. the art with the plastic straws was also amazing.

Tara _ble1: I think Sophia looks so adorable with curly or straight hair. I’m glad she loved it. Just curious, did it relax throughout the day and how long did the curls last before you washed them out and/or did it ever get frizzy?? Love the vid. Such an adorable fam. Knoxville, TN

Felicite Felton: it’s like my hair but in reverse ... my hair is very curly naturally and it looks like it’s very short ... but then when I straighten it, it magically turns out to be long. . I like watching your videos! You look like the happiest family! Adorbs!

Monster high Girlys: I never knew how excited others got about curly hair...makes me more grateful for my natural curly hair

Danielle Wallace: I'm actually shocked how tight the curls stayed, becuase hey hair was so straight before... so cute

funny shirl: We’ve done this to our My Little Pony’s tails and manes! We use “doll hair conditioner” (water + liquid fabric softener in a spray bottle) to get the frizz out, rinse the hair, then use straws & clothespins to curl the hair again. Never thought to do it in my girls’ hair, though! Great idea!

Yash'al Nooradheen: Her mother looks like a teenager....she is looking so young .

Analeah Chavez: I love this my mom does this to me and I love it!

Ife Jaykob: Yea, Shrinkage is real...especially the African hair (4C). Maybe next time you can trying separating them using any preferred hair oil. It makes thd hair more defined and shiny☺

Kelsey Bennett Crawford: She is absolutely gorgeous!! You rocked those curls girl Beautiful!

Rachel: I already have curly hair but I low key wanna try this,it looks fun

Study with praise: Why is no one talking about how good the curls turned out. It's cute

Roblox GirlGaming: Omg it worked for me!!! I did it overnight also IT GOT CURLY

Rickie-Lee: Love the hair!! Love the creative use of old strawers. Brilliant end touch.

Tiffany T: Great tutorial and filming/editing as well. The coily curls came out beautifully. However, as a curly haired girl who is still trying to love her curls it was a bit disheartening having them compared to a poodle. They're just curls, not a wild funky 'do'. But I can understand the reaction having not seen her hair styled like that before. Great video nonetheless!

Dulce Gonzalez: Thank you so much for this video! I’m going to dress up as Dolores from Encanto when I go to Disney World for the first time and I have straight hair like her! This will definitely help!

The Lundy Family: Amazing hair! Love that you recycled the straws

Wendy Leigh Fowler Frizzell: I did this to my hair a few years ago and I absolutely loved it. My hair is to my waist so it took FOREVER!!! But, glad it didn't take you guys so long. I also used Bobby pins. Maybe it rubber band prob is better.

Jessica Henderson: Great video! Never would have thought they would work so well!!

Tiffany Douponce: I just found this family the other day and I’m already obsessed with their videos.

Kelly S: Nice. Love how your kids are open to trying new things.

Rosangela da Conceição: Gostei muito parabéns

rania - aya: i love how you guys try new hairstyles! wish there was a 'curly to straight heatless tutorial' :)

Berta L.C: I love this. The only thing I would have done different is to fold the straw both ways and secured with 1 rubber band instead of fold rubber band fold rubber band. Beautiful family.

Me _ow: Victorian rag curls like your daughter's lovely. Love how she appreciates it

Lynelle's Kros-Faith Walk: Very Cute! A little serum would also be great as you take the curls apart to reduce frizz.

AF-P Queen: just the way shes doing it, thin strands you can tell the results are going to be really good!

~Daphne Amy's World~!: I saw this on my recommendation I wanted to see how this would look like I have three different texture of hair and I never tried this beforeI used other tools similar to this to get the pin curl look or Shirley Temple even the curly Sue look for special occasions or for like a dance recital my hair is straight wavy and curly this was cool

Victoria Desrosiers: Quarantine is the perfect time for stuff like this

Vienna V: Oh my God! This is my first time watching this channel and......I love the intro so clever❤️❤️

Freda Young: It’s so weird seeing people embrace their hair or like having curly hair because in my family everyone wears straight wigs or straighten their hair because that was what my family thought the word beautiful meant, I went natural 2 years ago and I’m still working on loving my hair, I even got some of my family to go natural! Sometimes I’ll tell my parents that I don’t want to be natural anymore because my hair “won’t cooperate” but they would always talk me into staying natural because they don’t want me to damage my hair again, I’m very thankful for that!

Bevie _Oxx: Her hair is so pretty
