Like that person brought some type of inspiration and some type of value to their lives and they're going to keep on coming back, hey girl, so we're going to start off this little vlog style, get ready with me in the bathroom. I want to take out literally with me from the start of me doing my skincare shower we're going to do hair makeup outfit everything and i'm most excited for the beauty products that i have. I picked up some new things from nordstrom clean beauty collection. They recently came out with a clean beauty collection and in this collection they have all clean products. Obviously, makeup body care skin care, anything that you think of they have it there and i love it because for me it means that i can be more conscious about the things that i'm putting on my skin and how they're affecting the environment i have some necessary. I have some youth to the people i have sunday rally. I have glow oil super goop tula. We have a lot of good products that i'm going to be trying today and i'm super excited to do this. Vlog style get ready with me. First, we're going to start off with skincare, so i'm going to be using this tula detoxing and toning face mask, but also the tula glow and get it eye balm. So i'm going to apply those first and then we're going to move over to the shower. I'M super excited because i'm also going to be trying a new hairstyle. I have a 360 sewing in right now and i haven't really got to have fun with the different hairstyles that i can do with. It is okay guys, so we are out the shower. I feel so good and refreshed after that, when i get off the shower, i like to use this topical, ingrown, hair tonics on everywhere that i shave i've noticed a slight difference in like my ingrowns and me getting ingrown hairs. I don't get them as much since i've been using this and then i'm going to go ahead and just start moisturizing, my body with this necessary body lotion. Now this is my first time using it. So i'm pretty excited. Like i said, i hear the hype. Everybody hype this up is - and i am obsessed with how my skin is growing right now, like do y'all see this like body glowing skin glowing, your girl feels good, so definitely make sure that y'all check out those products that i got from nordstrom, because i so Far love all of them, my skin up under my eyes, it looks so good, calm and relaxed. It'S just it's everything. So, let's head into my room, so we can finish this get ready with me. I wanted to uh, show y'all this lotion. When i tell you this lotion right here, smells so good if you want to up your skincare like, as in like the scent to layer, if you want to add something to your beauty, hair routine, to layer with your fragrances that make you smell like that, girl Go check out this eos um go check out that eos body lotion y'all. It smells amazing, so i think i'm gon na just like lightly curl, my hair. First i'm gon na let the hot combs heat up and then, while that's doing that, i'm gon na use. My elf power grip primer to go ahead and prime my face. Let'S talk because i have something some things that i want to talk to you about. I feel like a lot of y'all had gave me um, like questions on how to be confident and like how to start a youtube channel. So i'm just going to answer a little bit of those questions, while i'm getting ready right now, just to add in a little chit chat portion, and i also just want us to just start talking more. Let me pull up the questions that you guys sent me on my story and then we can start from there and we're gon na just basically talk about content creation, because i got a lot of con. I got a lot of questions about content creation and one of the good questions were basically asking like you know how to stay motivated and like the true reality of being a content creator, and i really want to talk about that, because the true reality of being An entrepreneur, slash content creator is so different and it's glorified a lot on social media and a lot of people don't understand like when you see these it girls who, like mass following, don't get me wrong, love my egg girls on youtube. If you know you know you don't they need to get to know if you, especially if you're, trying to be an influencer, you need to get to know like who are the it girls on social media and kind of keep up with what they're doing, because at The end of the day, those are your co-workers. You have to talk to other entrepreneurs network, basically, is what i'm saying your network and being an influencer and any type of entrepreneur is super important, and i feel like a lot of people. Don'T understand that because we're in such a me based society that people don't get like you, don't have to be best friends with these people but interact with them comment on their content. You know give them feedback organically interact with them, because that's what's going to make content creation and that's what's going to keep you inspired anyways back to what i was saying when it comes down to like the misconceptions, i want to talk about more so of content Creation and being an entrepreneur because, like i said, we see the it girls and we think that that's how their lives happen overnight and if you watch a lot of their videos, a lot of them will tell you like girl. This did not happen overnight. I had to work, you know really hard for this, and this success now is what you guys are just seeing after you know, five years, two years three years, some some of them six years of being on this platform and being a content creator consistently, i feel, Like a lot of people, don't understand that they are struggling in certain areas of entrepreneurship, slash content creation because they aren't putting in the consistent work to see results and even if you are being consistent and trying you're posting regularly and stuff like that, as a content Creator, if you aren't getting feedback from your posts and stuff like that nine times out of ten, is because maybe you aren't marketing to the right audience or because your audience isn't feeling the type of content that you're creating and you need to move on and try Something different: that's the beauty of being a content creator such entrepreneur. You don't have to be stuck in that one row. You can literally try out multiple different things and see what works for you, but you also have to make sure that you're doing things that's relevant to the audience that you're trying to reach being a content. Creator is like having a regular job, but it's also like to put it into a metaphor terms: it's like baking, a cake right. So when you bake a cake, you have to have ingredients. When you have the ingredients, you have. You know the sugar, the the dough, the yeast or whatever you do to make the dengue cake. You have the ingredients and then, on top of the ingredients, that how well you put the ingredients together. That'S like i'm blurry, but how well you put the ingredients together. Determines how good the cake is and how successful it would. Look, though, let's think about your ingredients and in order to really make a good cake right, you have to try out different recipes and see what works for you. That'S, metaphorically speaking, about your niche. If i'm making a cake for you know a toddler's birthday party, it's not going to be the same ingredients for a couple's wedding like toddlers. Obviously they like a little bit more sugar. They want it to look they want to. They want to have some type of cartoon character on it at a wedding. They probably do have glitter on it, but it's probably black or probably white, or something like that, so you have to think about. That is a metaphor for your audience. What do your audience? Like what do they like visually? But you also have to think about the quality of the cake, aka, your ingredients and, what's going to keep them, want to keep eating the cake and keep on coming back and getting pieces of the cake and tasting it. Because you can make the cake for a fourth grader i mean, for you, know a kindergartener or a toddler. You can make that cake. Look super cute right, but if their parents are, if they bite into their cake and it's nasty they're not going to want to keep on coming back for it. So but if you make a cake for a toddler or even for a wedding and secrets, you make a cake for a wedding and it tastes so good to them. Where everybody at that wedding wants you to start making the cakes for their birthday parties and their weddings and their you know whatever their special occasion, i said if it was so good, then multiple people will try to come back to you and keep on getting the Cake for every event, what i'm saying so i was like that's the same thing, metaphorically speaking to your content depending on you. Don'T only want to make it look pretty aka your thumbnails or your editing, but you actually want to have some content of substance to make people feel like they have to keep on coming back to you in order to make them feel some type of way. It'S all about emotion and how you're making people feel when they watch your content, making them feel something. So that is like one of the biggest key components when it comes down to being successful as a content creator and that's the reality of it now. Another reality is like i said it's going to take you some time to figure out what that ingredient is, and you're gon na have to mix up the the um icing you're gon na have to do some different decorations aka. Your thumbnails you're gon na have to see what works for you just because you know you see one influencer. She does a certain type of thumbnail some ways. So you think that if you do your thumbnails like her, then people are going to click on your videos. More no people like that because they see that's what she's doing, but sometimes people want to see things something different. So try different things on your icing like a cake and once they click on the video. Like i said, the substance is your ingredient, so you want to make sure that they are getting different. Sometimes everybody don't want to taste sweet ingredients. Sometimes they might want to taste something that it's a little bit more creamy. Sometimes they want to taste something. That'S a little bit more buttery or you know what i'm saying so by that i'm saying do not make your videos do not take your personality and copy other successful people, because they have developed that personality over time that you are seeing a personality that they grew Into being - and so you should allow yourself to also grow into different personalities and see, you know who you want to be, i understand, like i said i get it, it's so easy to see other successful, youtubers and other successful content creators and want to do exactly What they're doing because you see the amount of success that they are having, but if i could tell my younger self before when i first started creating content anything, it would be to obviously be myself but really find out what makes me unique and capitalized or really What finds out, what makes me unique and really like, create my content around my personal uniqueness? Yes, it's okay to pull inspiration! Yes, it's okay to follow if it's a certain type of trending video within my niche like say, for instance, it's about to be back to school season. That is a trend at that point in time. Yes, i'm going to follow that trend because i'm a fashion content creator, but i'm going to do those back to school outfits and do my own interpretation and inspiration based off of my own interpretation. I'M not going to you know what i'm saying like. I might go to pinterest and stuff like that and see different outfits that inspire me. Yes, but it's still going to be my own in interpretation of it, nothing wrong with being inspired. Look if it's! If it's one thing i can say within this whole influencing consecration journey, it is to stay inspired, because that's a lot of people ask me: how do you stay motivated like? How do you stay excited? I make sure that i'm always watching inspiring content. I make sure that i surround myself and only allow myself to have conversations with people that inspire me. I try to make sure that i am always exploring myself in my different phases of growth and seeing what is inspiring me at that given moment and that's the beauty of it because you're. If, when you bring when you build that strong relationship with your followers, they're going to want to stick with you, no matter what phase of growth that you are in, because you have built that trust with them to the point where they're, when i'm going to see Any type of growth that you experience because it excites them and it inspires them to do the same now. Let me just practice that by saying this, if you're a content, creator understand that you're going to be copied off of, and that is all right. What is it, what is the influencer without them being copied? Okay, yes, now to my people, who are out there who have something to say about people liking to do their, you know a set. Now they want to do their aesthetic um new, because they see every girl is doing a nude aesthetic and they have pompous grass and they all they do is wear skims and neutrals and all they do is talk like the other girls on youtube and stuff, like That now i don't think it's like. I said i don't think it's a problem that they are finding inspiration from. You know the mainstream influencers that we see today. I don't think that that's a problem at all. What is the influencer without influencing okay? My only thing is - and this is one thing i really want to stress - y'all - be inspired yes, but do not, and when i say not, do not take do not be inspired, do not dress like them shop like them and decorate your house like them, and then On top of that, you're taking their whole personalities like there's a person that i watch and i had to stop watching them because, after a while i was like okay now you you do your hairstyles, like the person you decorate in your house, like the person you Doing the same type of videos as that person - okay, i get it you are inspired, but when they started to literally talk and curl their words and do their facial expressions when they were talking to when they're talking about certain topic, like that person, i had to Stop watching them because, like girl now i know it's getting obsessed and it's giving like you're, not even being yourself, you're, literally just copying and pasting someone else's personality, not even that content. You want to copy and paste their content, because that's what content is? That'S? What being a creator is it's most of the time, a lot of things that we do is things that have already been done. It'S copy and paste anyways, but my thing is: if you're going to be copying, if you're going to be found, inspiration with somebody be inspired, but don't take the personality. Because then, that's how your your audience you're not going to be able to build a trusting audience for one they're, not going to trust you, because they see that all you're doing is copying off somebody anyways. So why would i trust somebody who all you're doing is taking a whole other person's personality? That'S weird, you know what i'm saying, because that means that in life in real life, are you being real like? Are you even a real person? Are you even like, and i don't even being like real, like to the touch i mean real, as in conversations and being able to have a mind of your own? Obviously you can't have a mind of your own. You don't have a mind of your own because you are literally taking this person whole whole personality at this point you want to be them and you know that's. I don't want to talk down on being inspired, but and i'm not trying to like seem super judgy because, like i said to each his own, but me personally, as a consumer and influencer being on both ends of the spectrum, i i just had to stop watching That person's content, so i say i let it to say be inspired like i said, do whatever the hell. It is that you want to do but make sure that you are being yourself and make sure that you are staying true to your personality, find something unique in your personality and grow off of that. Okay. So that's the reality of content creation. That'S another reality! You'Re going to be copy, that's and like i said the reality before that is you're, going to have to make sure that your ingredients in your cake, taste, good. The ingredients is, metaphorically speaking, on the the quality of your content, unless, let's also shadow, let's also shadow, this misconception - that in order to have quality content, you have to have these high techy cameras and you have to have a 600 camera. No, if you want to have quality content, then you can record the content on your iphone okay. So it's not about that. When i say quality i mean the substance that you are bringing to people. What type of substance are you bringing to the world that type of quality you can a person that has a person can invest in a 700 camera, but they can literally just be of no value like when people watch your content. They don't even feel valuable. Like yes, the the quality look good, it's super clear, but i don't even feel inspired or i don't even feel nothing when i watch your video, but i can go to this other girl's, channel, she's, recording on her iphone 13 or her iphone 12 or whatever iphone That she ever phone that she has and when i watch her when i watch her channel, though the quality may be a little bit different. It may not be super clear, but it's clear enough for me to see and guess what, when i leave her channel, i feel something so yes, she's recording in her room in a in the background might not be, as you know, aesthetic as the other girls, but I don't even care about the aesthetics i care about her content, because she makes me feel something whenever i watch her video, i i leave with something whether it's they want to go and shop, the new beauty product that they just recommended, whether it's you know some Words and inspiration that they just said, you know whether it's some type of way that they just decorated their room on a budget or showing you know. They feel like that person brought some type of inspiration and some type of value to their lives and they're going to keep on coming back so boom. The ingredients of your cake should be unique to you and it should taste really good. It should make your consumers feel something, and then, after that, once you let people taste your cake and then they'll start leaving comments. Like oh girl, i think you put a little bit too much sugar in there. Like oh girl, i think you put a little bit too much salt. Now, metaphorically speaking, i'm talking about your comment, section you're, like my, i know what my what my viewers want to see because they'll comment on my video be like girl. Wait we didn't get to see your outfit or girl wait. I love that hat that you came up that you wore. I love the way that you styled that i love the way that you did this with your makeup and so i'm like. Okay, they, like um, you know the way that i do my makeup. Are they want to see more so of my fashion content, i listen to them and from there i alter the ingredients of my of my cake. So, yes, i may want to do vlogs, but i don't get the most views on my vlogs right, but i know that my consumers want to see a lot of my fashion. So every time i'm recording a vlog, that's what i'm doing. I'M making sure that i'm, including a portion in my videos where, before i leave out that door, i'm going to the mirror and i'm showing them my outfits, because i can give them outfit inspiration on when they go and run errands. If i'm wearing errands a day in the vlog or i'm going to eat with my girls, i'm going to show them my outfit and tell them where i got everything from because they're going to be like okay, that's a cute outfit! If i'm going out to eat with my girls, i could wear it, you get what i'm saying so, i'm altering the ingredients of my cake, even though i just made this this is this cake. Usually, i do more so hauls, which would be safer as if i'm i'm making the cake for um tyler. This is a cake, but now i'm doing a vlog, metaphorically speaking, this is a cake that i'm making for a wedding, but i'm still making sure that it looks good and i'm still making sure that my ingredients stay the same because that's what's making them come out. Although the the icing looks different, the thumbnails and the actual substance of the content looks different, it's still staying true to me and they still saying when they bite into that cake. It'S like girl. This is good like actually you know you probably could have put a little bit more of this in there, but i really liked it like. I really want to. I want some more of that cake like i want you to make me a cake for my wedding. I want you to make me cake for my anniversary. You feel me, so just think about that metaphor and honestly, i got this metaphor. I want to go ahead and credit. I got this metaphor from um. This course that i took i had invested in this course about um social media when it come down to like starting a brand, and they had made a whole metaphor about how you would make a cake and what would you put in it and the ingredients and Stuff like that, and i'm like, oh my gosh - that is such a great point like i never thought about it like that, and that's another reason why it's good to also invest in you know: educational purposes like yes, you can watch a lot of youtube videos, but If i would have never - and it was like 18 or 20 dollars, if i would have never had invest in my little 18 or twenty dollars, i never would have been able to have that new, profound knowledge to help me think about the world and help me Perceive things a little bit more differently when it comes down to content creation? So that's another thing too. The reality of being a content. Creator is you're going to have to invest a lot into learning. It'S not you can't just yeah, you can buy final cut pro buy you a new macbook, buy you a camera and then boom. You can start off with quality, high quality content. You still have to invest that time into finding out who you are and invest that time into. You know what i'm saying: that'll brighten your perspective, that's what makes your content better! You invest in time into new techniques and learning new techniques and stuff like that. So yeah, that's all i have to say on that: the reality of content, creating, if you're a content, creator watching this video comment down below one of your realities are a misconception that you had when you first started creating content and if you want to be a Content creator tell me if that made any sense. Like tell me if that analogy, helped you understand things a little bit more, because that was my goal. My goal was to literally like help. You understand things um a little bit more and to you know, bring value to your mindset when it comes down to content creation. Y'All, i'm gon na fix my hair and then we're going to come back and i'm going to jump straight into makeup, because this is taking a lot of time, and i want to just finish this. So let me do my hair and it will start my makeup and then we'll finish the conversation all right: okay, y'all so anyways as i was saying, pertaining to the misconceptions back to the whole thing of like you having a lot of time on your hand after You become an entrepreneur, slash a content creator in a sense of you, aren't working for anybody, you're working for yourself now when you get to a certain level influencing yes, it provides you with. You know a lot of freedom and, yes, you get freedom to wake up and do essentially what you're passionate about, but at the end of the day, in order to get brand deals in order to be able to be successful and to you know, constantly stay relevant. You have to work with brands and when you work with brands, you have guidelines that you have to follow. Aka guess what you're working for someone else so yeah! That'S pretty much all i have to say about it like i said. If you want to be a content creator, do it you understand you're going to have to be doing it for free for a while, that's just the reality of it, but that's okay, because i always say that whatever, whenever you do something for free, whenever you find Yourself willingly doing something for free, that's how you know: you're passionate in it and that's how you know. That'S the thing that you should pursue and that's the thing because once you start making money with once, you start making money off of it. That'S just gon na be a plus like, but if you're moving into content creation because of the money that you think you're gon na make, then i don't recommend that you do it because you're not gon na you're, not gon na make a lot of money because People are going to feel that it isn't authentic you're not going to be off giving authentic vibes, and that's all i have to say on that, but yeah, i'm about to just finish my makeup. I really want to focus on doing my makeup because i really wanted to come out cute, so we're just going to focus on that and then i'm gon na come back and we're gon na. Do the outfit portion of this get ready with me. So, let's finish up the makeup and stop jab, i'm about done picking out this look and so far it's actually cute. I'M gon na show you out in a minute, but so far it's actually cute, even with my hair, in a bun, okay guys. So this is the outfit with the pine dunks and i don't know how i felt about this one, but i like the top and how, like the jeans, are low rise. It'S definitely giving me collagen on campus. This is something i would award in college honestly like this. Is college campus appropriate? So that was my goal: anyways, let's get ready to go out and take pictures, because that's it that's it. I got my outfits. I did my hair my makeup and i'm ready for content day mean

As Told By Zo: I just dropped a new video and this video definitely affirmed that the change I did on my channel was necessary. My old content I felt like I was trying to keep up with the trends from how I edited down to thumbnails. I feel like a lot of the people that watched my content…watched because I was animated and yea even though I am theatrical in real life…that’s not me all the time. Glad I watched this

Gena bena: Made perfect sense! I want to create content but I feel like I should wait to move so I can have a more aesthetically pleasing space to get it done.
