So if you're new around here, my name is danielle and today we're going to be checking out some smart and clever ways that you can roll and curl your natural hair. So the first one isn't really a technique that she's going to be doing for the purpose of rolling her hair or actually curling it she's, basically just doing like a imitation photo shoot, but this is a legit way to curl your hair, so she's using cans in Order to do like a roller set and i've seen this technique before it's absolutely crazy. How well the curls come out and obviously you can use like rollers and get the same effect, but i thought it was pretty cool that she used the cans. So next up, we have a go-to way to roll your hair and by the way, if you are natural or you are relaxed, you can use these techniques. You don't have to necessarily be natural in order to do them, so don't feel like you only have to have natural hair in order to do these same type of techniques. So the first one is a go-to for many, and that is of course, a flexi rod. Set so she's, starting at the bottom and rolling up it's all about the products that you use as well as making sure that your hair is dry. So i like the fact that she took the blow dryer over her hair, just to make sure that her hair was dry before you know. Unraveling, the curls gorgeous sets her makeup and everything looks so pretty so next up we have another go-to of mine and for many naturals and relaxed girls, and that is perm rods. So with many of these techniques, it's all about practice, and there was a time in my life where i would actually sit and do either perm rods or flexi rods like every week, like that'd, be like my weekly go-to style and my curls always came out. Poppin juicy gorgeous so she's unraveling, her curls, absolutely beautiful sets. So then we got another perm rod set with curls and i always like it for my hair to look as if it could be like my natural curl pattern. Whenever i do like a roller set. That'S like my ideal image in my head like okay, this is going to look like this is my actual curl pattern, definitely take some perfection and with the perm rods you want to do kind of like that, wanding method that you see people doing. That really just creates a lot of definition within the roller and, of course, you want to make sure that you are using oil to separate the hair and take the curls down. It helps with the frizzing a lot. Oh, i love how her curls look with her curl, her hair color, so pretty it's kind of like a brassy brown or burgundy shade at the ends. So then we have another perm rod set. Now she did a twist and curl. She did flat twist and then perm rod at the bottom. This is another tip okay, so if you are natural and you have like kinkier hair blow dry, your hair first before putting on the roller, because this will help extend your curls and they will come out. So much more defined, so this is what this woman is doing here. She blow dried, her hair and then she put the rollers in and she is doing a mixture of flexi rods and perm rods. I actually like the fact that she did different sizes, because i really created a more like a natural look to the hair. Very pretty her curls came out very nice and juicy all right. So then we have harris janae. I believe that's how you pronounce that she does a lot of really cute natural styles, so definitely check out her instagram. If you want to see some of her styles so for this look, she's also using perm rods and with the perm rods. If you want to create a texture or curl pattern, that looks as if your hair has been long. Curled start wanding your hair, the roll around the roller at the top, and that will create more of that wand effect. That was back when i had texlax tear so check it out if you are interested in seeing them, but she did a beautiful kind of holiday inspired updo with that so she's doing the under wand method for this perm rod set wow. She has a whole head full of the same color. Now you want to do that if you want to create uniform style curls another like kind of heatless curl method that i like to use is the curl formers. That was also like a go-to of mine back when i was tex-lex for some reason, i haven't managed to perfect it with natural hair. Like i've tried it with blowing my hair out. First, i've tried it on flat iron here, curl formers do not work on my natural hair, like i cannot get it to work. My hair always like it will come out looking good at first and then they'll frizz out. So here we have another perm rod set. I love her hair color, so pretty she definitely got that professionally colored, because there's no way she could get that hair. Looking that good at home there's no way her curls came out absolutely perfect and then the best way to maintain these styles is by doing the pineapple method, and i also have a hair tutorial on that on this channel as well. So she did flat twists and perm rods. I came out cute. It looked a little bit frizzy in the front, but it's still cute, so here she's back again doing another style, this time, she's doing the twist and curl.
