Heatless Blowout On Type 4 Natural Hair Using The Banding Method

Hello, Everyone! In efforts to reduce the amount of direct heat I use on my hair, I've decided to start using the banding method as an alternative to blow drying. I've found it to be very effective in helping to elongate my hair, making it much more manageable.

Hair tools used:

- wide tooth comb

- detangling brush

- hair clips

- elastic bands (Amazon)

Hey yeah welcome back to my channel, I'm gon na show you guys how I stretch my hair without the use of heat, so here's just a glimpse of what it looks like straight out of the shower in its reverted State. So you want to make sure you have a wide toothed comb, some type of detangling brush some clips and I'm gon na band. My hair, with the use of these elastic bands that I found on Amazon for 9.99 in a pack of 100, and I will leave the amazon link down below in the description box now before banding my hair, I'm going to condition it with this mixture. I make out of aloe vera juice, Jackie's hydrating, silken and hair milk and 100 % natural spring water. Now I'll probably do four ounces of spring water, four ounces of aloe vera juice and two ounces of the hair Symphony milk number four hydrating, my hair, I'm gon na go ahead and section it off. Normally I do four sections and then I split those four sections into two for a total of eight when banding my hair. Now that I've got my hair sectioned off, I'm going to go ahead and apply my conditioner and detangle it as best I can with my detangling brush and then I'm gon na follow up with this grapeseed oil to seal in the moisture and again, I'm going to Make sure my hair is thoroughly detangled and then I'm going to take my first elastic band and put that section into a ponytail once your ponytail is secured. You want to go ahead and grab your second elastic band and you want to place it as close to the first one as possible. What I like to do I like to wrap it twice in the same spot, so it won't slip and then start working. My way down the hair shaft now as you wrap, you want to make sure you're not leaving huge gaps in between, because the closer you place, those elastic bands, the straighter your hair will be so next. I'M just gon na continue to wrap my hair with the elastic bands and with the length of my hair. I think I normally use about four or five elastic bands for one section of hair and after I'm done with the first one. This is what it looks like nice and stretched, so I'm gon na move on to the next section I'll. Let you guys watch and then I'll be back once I am done to show you guys what it looks like fully: banded okay. So this is my hair fully banded and I think I did a good job of elongating it to where it can be easily styled in the morning now. Normally. I would just lay on my hair like this, but because my hair is on the thicker side and it's late and I have to get up at 4:45 in the morning. I'M scared. My hair won't be fully dry so to speed up the drying process. I'M gon na go ahead and sit on a hooded dry for about 30 minutes before laying down okay, it's the next morning and my hair is dry, so I'm gon na go ahead and start removing the elastic bands starting from the bottom and just stripping them away. Alright, this is the first section and, as you can see, it is nicely stretched and easy to manipulate no tangles or anything. Now, I'm just gon na continue to move on until I have taken all of the sections down. Here'S a quick side by side of my hair in its reverted state versus its stretched state. Now that my hair is stretched and semi straight, I am able to manipulate it without risk of knots and tangles and a lot of times what I do. I put it in another style that will further stretch my hair, such as this one, just braids in the front and then a bun in the back, and you can also be in your hair, several nights in a row to get until you get your desired results. I'M trying to stay away from heat as much as I can so I will be using this method as an alternative to blow-drying my hair and hopefully I'll be able to retain some length, and that is about all the time I have today y'all. I will leave down below in the description box the list of tools that I use to band my hair and thank you guys so much for watching. Let me know if you try this method and how it works, for you I'll see, y'all later bye,
