I've been cutting my hair for years and this is a really easy way I cut face framing layers without losing length. This layered haircut is great for any length of hair ...medium hair, long hair, short hair! It's even great for thin or thick hair. It's easy and quick and you can cut the layers framing your face however long you want to. My haircut is basically long layered, with a bunch of layers in it to add intense volume naturally. I also always keep the length, and the thickness. The front layers are really easy to style...you can part it any which you want to and it adds body and volume around the hair around your face. It's really pretty as a side part or middle part. This haircut also is a quick way to get rid of the split ends in the hair around your face.

I used to have really bad experiences at the hair salon and just never came out satisfied. So I started cutting my own hair, and found a way to get my perfect haircut at home. I never get tired of this cut, because I can style it so many ways. I also get to keep the length long. I have lots of layers and this helps my hair look really voluminous because the volume comes from the short layers on top.

Hey guys welcome back to my channel and hello if you're new at today's video is going to be how to cut your front, face framing layers at home all by yourself. It'S so easy, it's so simple, and if you're not subscribed to my channel make sure you subscribe for more videos like this one. I do have a video on how I cut my hair at home today. We'Re just going to be focusing on the front facing layers, but if you want to see how to get this whole haircut, I will leave that link down below. But let's get started so you're going to need hair, cutting shears or haircutting scissors and a comb. Now you want to strain your hair, I semi straight into my hair. I didn't completely straighten it, but and then you just want to brush through it just to get rid of all the knots and tangles. Now here's what I'm going to try to explain. So you want to slip the call underneath your hair and then bring it forward kind of like the natural way that your hair would fall over your face, and then you want to cut it in a diagonal way. So I hope that made sense. So you see here, I'm just cutting in a diagonal way and it's going to make that nice feathered face framing shape and then the more layers, the deeper you want, your face framing layers to go. You want to grab more and more hair into your comb. So you can either leave the hair in your comb or you can use your fingers like I'm doing here and you get that feathered like nice framed look. So this is what it looks like after you're done cutting. Now I'm going to do the next section or the next size. Now I'm going to flip the comb inside and then I'm going to drag the hair forward so kind of like how it would just fall right around your face and then I'm going to hold the clothes tight and cut a diagonal. And then, when you do point cut like inwards, it makes your layers blend it in really nicely, and it gives you more of that feathered look so here you see, I just grabbed a little bit more hair and I'm going to use my fingers this time and Just cut diagonally now you can see that shape right there. That is what I love and you can keep going back in and work slowly little bits at a time see how short you want your face, framing layers to be, and next you want to measure so you're, going to you're going to bring forward like an inch From each side bring it forward and just measure, if both sides are the same, mine was a little tiny bit off, so I'm just going to trim back down so that everything is the same, and I love this haircut because it just makes my face. It just goes with my face and I feel like it can go with any face shapes as well, and now everything is matching. Everything is the same. I hope you guys enjoyed this video if you guys want a full tutorial on how I cut all of my hair. I will leave that link down below and also in the cards right here next to my face. I hope you guys enjoyed this video and found it helpful. Let me know in the comments down below if you did and share, if you think somebody else might find it helpful subscribe if you haven't already because you're going to get videos like this every single week. Thank you guys so much for watching, and I will talk to you guys in my next video bye.

priyanka vakharia: It turned out to be far more better than what we usually get when go to the parlour, thanks a lot!!

Marcy Coate: Fantastic! My hair looks the best it has looked in almost 20 years. Thank you!!!

Anouk M: I just tried this method on my curly hair and it turned out great! This actually looks so much better than the haircuts i get from my hairdresser

Niamh Robinson: Literally just followed this method (cut both my own and my friend's hair)! It turned out great - I'm super happy! My friend wanted slightly less defined layers so I only left half an inch rather than a full inch between the length of each section but on my own I went all out on the layers and both look brill! So much healthier and honestly so easy too. Can't see myself going to the salon again any time soon!! Thank you <3

Lisa Torres-Sims: I followed your steps here & I also cut short bangs to frame my face. It really love how my hair came out!! While I was at a restaurant the manager complimented me on my hair. Thank you so much!!!!

debbie farmer: That was easy and my hair looks better than I thought it would. I actually live my hair right now. Thank you.

Divya Kay: Honestly speaking, this is one of the easiest method to cut hair at home that I've ever come across over the internet... I just tried this method and it turned out so so so great... Thank you so much for this video!!! Keep making more...

Jeckell Hobbs: Thanks. This is a lil easier to follow then how I've been lopping off my poor hair. Thanks for explaining. God bless you!

Sweta Sonwani: I've wavy, thin hair.. and my face shape is round too.. but this haircut go on my face very well.. and it looks perfect like a salon

scruz chic: thank you!! thank you!!!! quick , easy dry cut - simple for anyone to understand

shibu rahulan: Really helpful thank you!

Lisa Borsella: Hello! Thank you so so much for saving my haircut! I had tried and tried a couple of weeks ago to trim my hair, which I normally use the ponytail method, which works, and is pretty safe! I had hair the same cut as yours, but my hair stylist friend, gave my curly and lots of hair, but damaged hair, a much needed cut. In trying to keep my bra strap length hair as long as possible, but still all blended, she layered it a lot! I was happy with it for now, because it got out a lot of my damaged hair, while leaving some hair left! The layers, do add tons of volume, and I can really fatten it up, and make my curls pop! Now my hair was needing a trim once again, and I tried to do more than the safe ponytail method, and follow her cut, but just a trim this time...well I ended up cutting my damaged length into a blunt bob, which I adore, and left it as long as possible, more of a Lob.My biggest mistake was trimming more of those damaged layers I still had. I have never done that, and after researching, without your tutorial, because I had never seen you before, I TRIED to layer it all over, and re-angle my face framing sides, as you did in THIS video, but without your excellent, easy, and straight forward, fun technique! I ended up with a mess! all I can say is Thank goodness, and Thank GOD my hair is curly, and wavy, and can be worn pin straight too! In this case curly is the ONLY way to cover the mess! My sides were NOT blended, no matter how many times I tried! in fact I just kept nipping and nipping until I noticed pieces missing...like spotty parts! and it was looking like it would become a mullet soon to boot! I have left it alone for weeks just keeping it curly and so full it wasn't as bad as it could have been, but me knowing how uneven, and gross it was got to me. I saw your tutorial again..it seems I HAVE seen you, because I subscribed, and thumbs-up'd you! Well I went for it, and gone is the space that looked like it was gone and...no mullet! Just nice face framing angles! I had trouble on my right side because I am left handed I guess? and I guess I was not holding it right, so it is a tiny, minute bit shorter. I think I evened it out with little nips.. a little goes a long way with hair! Well I love the results, and although it sounds as if I don't know what I am doing, I am not as bad as I sound! LOL.. I get confused with how to hold the hair, and scissors, but once I mastered it it looks perfect as i comb it towards my face, it is blended perfectly, and adorable! it looks deliberate, with the layers, and body, and curls. Thank You so so much! I feel normal again, and not hiding behind messy hair, although I like that look too, I don't like it to hide mistakes! I am a perfectionist, and just knowing it was badly done, was bothering me. Now it is pretty, and EVEN! and sexy. all because of you! I love that you made it easy for us novices! No sectioning, just nice and straight forward! No music, and/or speeding up the camera, etc., so we can hear you! and UNDERSTAND what you are doing! I am sorry for babbling, I am just happy, and next time I need a full trim, I will watch YOUR tutorials only!
