What'S going on everybody, my name is ray, and today i'm gon na be cutting my hair if you're new go ahead and click that subscribe button. I watched a couple youtube videos and i found one that i think i can do just fine. So i'm going to be using my big tooth comb just to part my hair. Of course, i'm going to be using just a couple hair ties because i will be sectioning off my hair. I have four hair ties here and then, of course, the most important product or tool is a pair of hair cutting scissors. They came in handy. I already straightened my hair. It'S been straight for a couple days, i'll comb, all these um tangles out and get to cutting that's very sensitive spot. In my the front part of my hair every time i almost every time i unwrap it, especially after i just just freshly straightened it. I don't know why that's so simple that part is so sensitive all right. So before we start, we are doing a length check. This is how long my hair is before i cut it, and i'm going to try my best to keep that as close to that length as possible. So here i'm just showing you guys what my length is from the back and what little bit of layers i have you can kind of see, maybe one layer, maybe or maybe two layers here, but yeah, we're gon na try and layer. All of that up. This is what my ends look like. It is definitely well overdue for a haircut it's been a year at least oh also. We will need hair clips to clip my hair up. Okay to start this process, i'm going to part the back part of my hair. This is going to be the first section here, i'm just putting that first section in a hair tie just to keep it all together, then i'm going to comb it out and basically just check to see how much length how much i want to cut off before. I start cutting and make sure i mark it with my fingers and start cutting. I cut into the hair, so if i mess up, it won't be too too noticeable versus cutting it like that, the entire time it's just it's just better. I think it looks better. Just to keep you from not jacking up your own hair, especially because i'm not a hair stylist so on to the next section part that off clip it up or comb it out and then clip it up and basically do the exact same thing as i did Before so, okay, so, like i said earlier in the video, i am not a hair stylist, so i am doing a layer check to see how it actually is looking so far. These are my three layers that i have cut so far and it looks like they are looking pretty good, so keeping it moving. I did go back and um adjust some of my. I think it was two of my layers. One of them was a little bit too thin, so i just added more hair to that layer and yeah made it a little bit more thicker, so this top one i just measured it with um the previous layer to see how much i'm going to drop off All right so here this is another check. I have now four layers right, yeah, four layers after i chop the very top layer, so slowly and surely taking these hair ties out to see what it all boils down to and what the end result looks like. After cutting all my layers, the moment of truth guys here we go. Oh, it came out. So pretty look at the you can really see the layers now compared to oh. Look at that. Y'All disregard that acne on my back. I'M trying to get that together. Okay, don't judge me, but look at my layers. They look really good. This is gon na save me so much money, although i don't cut my hair very often, usually once a year now, i think before i cut it, maybe two or three times a year, but since i stopped cutting it so much, it's actually been growing a lot Longer and i've been taking really good care of my hair too, but look at that look, that's just so gorgeous. I don't have to go to hair salon anymore for those of you who think of i'm a pro at this, i'm not. This is literally my first time ever cutting my hair like this before, like years ago, i would just cut like half an inch off, and that was just because i was super scared of jacking up my hair because it has been jacked up before, but this is Beautiful i look at that curvature in my ponytail. You can really see the layers there. I am beyond ecstatic of how beautiful these layers came out. Yes, i did a really good job, so pat on the back gray, here's a length check before and after i didn't lose too much length. But like again, you can see the definition in those layers, and this is all the hair that i chopped off. It looks like a lot in person, so i decided to give myself some long bangs to try to frame my hair around my face, but i have fat cheeks so that can be difficult. I'M exaggerating it's probably not difficult at all, but i do have fat cheeks. That'S not exaggerated and this process is basically the exact same way. I did the rest of my hair now my layers, they i didn't care if they were perfectly straight across because you wouldn't have been able to tell, but at least close enough to it, so um yeah, i'm just really trying to just frame my face or have The layers form to my face - i guess that's what it's called, but again, i'm not a hair stylist. So i don't know if that's right, verb, um, verb, uh, lingo um, but yeah. I just wanted my hair a little bit short in front, especially when my hair is curly, you'll really be able to see, and it's going to look good all right, so i am completely done with cutting and trimming. My hair see look at that. It just naturally falls beautifully. Here'S the finished. Look: here's a quick glimpse of what my layers looked like after i washed them and that's it guys. I hope you found this tutorial very helpful for cutting your own hair at home, especially during these times. Make sure you like share and subscribe and hit the notification bell until next time, bye,

Fine Natural Hair ROCKS: Wow! Your length looks absolutely beautiful! Perfect ends are truly the goal for me too

Missy Love: RAYYYY!!!! Girl, your hair is mad GORGEOUS!!!! This cut looks soooooo good!

browneyedgirl1100: You are GORGEOUS and your hair came out SO beautiful!!! Do you cut each layer the same amount as the one before?(when you bring the previous layer up to the one you are cutting) For example, when you cut the second layer you brought the third layer up and cut the same amount off of the second layer, and because of the placement of the ponytails, the end result is the second ponytail is shorter than the third? Is this correct? It’s so lovely and I want to try it. Thank you so much for the wonderful tutorial, looking forward to hearing from you:)
