Hi everyone, this video, is going to be a demonstration on how I get my hair into this swim cap here. So this is the special silicone swim cap specifically made for people with long hair. So the first thing you want to do is to tie your hair up in a bun and try not to use any metal or anything sharp, no pins or anything no clips, because the clips can actually perforate the silicone. It can actually perforate this and cause it to rip apart. So what I'm going to do is I'm just going to put my hair in a really quick model is fun and thank you to Turin page for showing everybody how to do it. Normal is fun with your hair is longer than at least length. So to do this really quickly and there yeah. So that's quite um sturdy and just a note, I'm specifically doing this on a wash date right before I wash my hair, because this is actually quite staticky, so it has to give me a lot of flyaways or anything. So I try to make sure that my hair is as greasy as possible for this video so that I'm not going to have my hair category everywhere as as soon as I take this off. So the first thing you're going to do is locate the front in the back of this swim cap. So I think in this situation, the logo is on the front of the head. At least that's how I see most swimmers where there's some cast with the logo. At the front and the back of the swim cap is supposed to have a little bit more room, so it's supposed to have like a little cone or like a bowl to hold your hair. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to just the stretch down like this from the inside and what I'm actually doing is. I am kind of like pretending, I'm holding a brain or something or just like the top of a basketball or something, and so you want your fingertips to be kind of rounded down like that, so that your fingernails don't perforate this silicone and I'm just going to Stretch it gently like this and I'm going to put in my bottle first so put that in at the back of the head and then bring the rest of the cap forward. And then you know just take a little bit of time to talk all your hair. In and everything - and it's also a good idea to not wear earrings when you're doing this, because the backs of the earrings can also perfect this cap. So I'm just going to tuck on my Heron natsu and there you go so this is a good look for me. Yeah, it's really flattering so you can see that I have a bit of a cone head in the back and that is supposed to happen. So now I have just proven that, yes, I can't get hair of my length into a swim cap, so there are a few places here that the hair does not completely cover. I'M sure that some people can pull their swim cap all the way down and like over top of their ears, to really cover those areas, but um, I don't find it to be completely necessary. I don't need my hair to really be bone dry when I'm going swimming granted. Yes, I do swim in mostly chlorine pools and it is really bad for your hair. But the reason that I wear this wig cap primarily is that whenever I go swimming with a braid or something I don't know what it is about, the currents of the water, but my hair always really wants to get really not it and really matted. So basically, if I have a braid just coming out just regular English braid, it will turn into one giant dreadlock. And you can absolutely forget about me wearing my hair loose when I go swimming because I'm try that once or twice before - and I ended up crying because it took me three or four hours to comb up my hair afterwards. So it just wasn't a good situation. So I wear the swim cap to protect the majority of my hair. From the silicone I mean from the chlorine sorry, and also to keep my hair tangle free, and I really don't want to the edges of my hair - get a little bit wet as long as it's you know not my entire head, so I have been swimming for A couple of hours in the swim cap I've had this cap for a couple of years already and I have never found that it just kind of like popped off and flew off at all. You do have to be careful that you know the edge that the cap is like really secure and kind of gripping onto your skin, but when you want to take the cap off so you're all done so I mean, I think, then try and get your fingertips Underneath the cap, without using your nails because remember your nails, can perforate the the swim cap just for the front here, and you just want to pull it back. First you're going in the opposite direction as you were when you were putting it on so bring it back slide it and then take it off your bottle last and there you go and you can see even with my hair, really greasy, I'm still getting some flyaways. So there you go, I'm just proven that you can indeed get hair my length into the swim cap without the use of any pony tail elastics, no pins, no clips or anything, and it does stay in there quite well. So for those girls who have hair is long, you know consider trying one of these out and excuse me if you have a hair, not quite as long as mine, but you know a little bit fluffier and you can also consider you know using one of these Because I know a lot of curly girls out there, they chemically relaxed their hair. They don't want to get their hair wet so raising this one cap. So I hope this would kept for about two years now and it's lasted it's held it pretty. Well, you know. I haven't seen my seen any like rips and the seams or anything like that graduate I don't swim all year round. I only swim in the summertime, but this is pretty good for a limited use and I think I bought it on eBay for ten dollars. So it's not like it's going to break the bank and it has saved me a lot of time and frustration and particularly a lot of damage, because I don't have to spend like three hours trying to comb out all the mats in my hair every time I Post funny, so for those long, haired girls or the big hair girls consider trying out one of these long hair swim caps. I know that speedo makes it. I don't know about any other brands that make it so anybody who knows of other brands that make swim caps are a little bit larger for those girls with a bit more hair than others and feel free to leave a comment down below, and so I hope You enjoyed this demonstration, I am going to try and do long hair videos a little bit more often than I did before that be. You know more than every six months and I'll see you all in the next video I

Don't Call Me "Lil": Perfect bun! Impressive!

Lilian Miramontes, Jr.: thank you so much because I just got a swim cap and this helped so much. my hair isn't long, it's thick so I had a problem getting it on before this video!

Tina Tran: Thanks so much for this!! As someone who has nearly 1m of hair, it’s been hard to fit it all, so I’m glad to have found your tutorial because it genuinely helped so much!! You have amazing long hair!!

Mittens4Haunter: I'm using a swim cap tomorrow for the first time, and my hair's recently been cut to shoulder length, but I still wasn't sure how to get it in correctly. So thank you! But my GOSH, your beautiful hair! I actually gasped!

Kat: I swam competitively for 5 years and my latex caps always lasted longer than the silicone ones. I have a very large head which seemed to put a lot of tension on the silicone ones, and they would ALWAYS split down the seam after a few weeks. The latex ones took a lot longer to break for me. That's just my two cents. For normal sized heads I'd say you are right but for us pumpkin heads latex or lycra (fabric)is the way to go.

Pur9leRain: I only discovered your channel today but I am so glad you are out there! I feel like your channel was made for me. I have already learnt so much. And to think that I suffered for years. Thank you for taking the time to share all your tips from one cone head to another!

Madeline Hero: SwimCulture has an excellent long hair swim cap that has space for long hair and earflaps to cover those little bits in front of the ears. It is silicone, with no seems (that I can see) to split holds the hair very well. I wear it with goggles, and put one strap under my ear and the other over the bun, just to really keep the water out.

Pheby Samuel: You make it look so easy! I have waist length hair and got a swimcap today and cannot seem to get that on! My hair keeps getting pulled and all messed up and my head hurts with that just halfway on

AudKnits: Really well done video. I have always wondered how to protect my long hair. Thank you for making this great tutorial!

hscammell: Nice video - love your bun! My hair isn't quite that long yet :) I just bought a High Volume swim cap at Wal-Mart for $8 (CAD), US Diver brand. Whoever corrected you saying there are no long hair swim cap is wrong... there are definitely models specifically designed for longer / thicker hair. I've only used mine once so far, but it works great for me. My hair was by no means dry after my swim, but it was WAY better than my braid evolving into a massive dreadlock like you said!

Kat: I was a swimmer for four years and I always found that my rubber caps lasted A LOT longer than the silicone ones... the silicone ones would ALWAYS split down the seam after about a month... the rubber ones lasted about four times as long. And they stay on a lot better than the silicone ones. And the fabric ones only protect your hair from the sun, not the chlorine.

Lilian Miramontes, Jr.: thank you so much because I just got a swim cap and this helped so much. my hair isn't long, it's thick so I had a problem getting it on before this video!

Ericah XOXO: Thank you for a wonderful video! Helped me this morning with getting this thing on my daughter’s head. She, too, has a head full of curly, thick hair! ❤️

Gianna Kalinowsky: As a swimmer, I’d like to say, caps are not just for keeping your hair dry. The purpose of a swim cap is to hold your hair in one place as you swim so that your hair doesn’t drag and make you slower when you swim.

Travelin' Quaker: Thank you so much for this video. I struggled so much this past week, but after watching this, success!

anon1234qwerty56789: wow.. magnificent! My hair is barely 2 feet long (it took me 4 years to get there and I've kept it at that length but I don't think it would grow much longer even if I let it) and it takes me 15 minutes to shampoo and conditioner and 15 minutes to brush it. I guess it must take you longer because your hair is longer and thicker than mine. stunning!! btw I use the same swim cap. :)

Elora: Thank you! Will definitely try one of those!! The same thing happens to me, when I do a braid it gets terribly knotty...

Alex Dunn: Thank you so much!!!! This was soo helpful my hair goes to at least my waist and swimming with it down makes it so tangled and the chlorine in the water makes my hair so dry and stiff like cardboard again thank you so much!!!

Julie Welch: Love the video, very charming and I am glad I watched your tutorial before believing the article that I read saying I don't need a swim cap. I found out once I scrolled down, it was a shampoo commercial "guaranteed" to protect my hair- Even blonde in chlorine! (ya sure) - I am grateful as well for an excuse to shop, and hopefully start to lose significant weight from exercising....I mentioned that, because I was using my hair as a reason to be unable to exercise. Have a great day !

Sammi Tharp: i love your hair! ive always tried to grow it long and get regular trims, ive been growing it out for two years and its only about a half an inch below my shoulder... do you have any advice?

Jillywow: I got this for thick hair and it works just as fine!

Kawaii_unicorn_78: Thank u for making this video now I can wear swimming cap perfectly!

Kanalıma hoş geldiniz ziyaretçileri sen çal kapımı: Thank you very much. You really made it easy for me to do this with ease ... With a short video, I benefited a lot and the method is very easy. Love you

Regina Campos: Great video, thanks ! I have long hair and I always use one (or two) swimcaps in the pool, but I'm having trouble swimming in the beach. The salt and sand are making my hair a mess. Do you recoment a swimcap in the beach too ? is it too weird, wearing a swimcap in the beach ? Thanks again !

Adriana Pilonieta: Thank you very impressed with how you put your hair up!

Kediil: I was looking for stuff in regards to swimcaps. I use a neato long hair cap called the Arena Smartcap. It. Is. Awesome. Takes about ten seconds to put on, even if leaving my hair loose (booty-length). But I was looking for a better silicone-esque cap to go on top of it too since the neoprene type Smartcap isn't exactly waterproof. Hence how I came across your video, and all your other ones too! Anyhow, Arena came out with a Smart Silicone cap that works the same way, but with the top piece being silicone, of course. I've been debating buying it and thought I might request a review on it, with the assumption that you yourself might like to try a cap that's so super easy to use as well. And to end, fantastic videos! I plan to creep my way into the corsetry stuff in the future, but right now I'm just super loving the *intelligent* information regarding hair! You're very good at giving information and background while suggesting products and regimens, without declaring that it's the only way or that other ways are for suckers. So thank you!

Quieshurn Charles: This was a wonderful and informative video very simple. Thanks

Aldijana Malovic: This really helped me a lot! Thank you

Victoria Irene: Hi! You can wet your hair to protect it and help with the static or apply a conditioning serum before putting the cap on.

JuMp4ty: holy crap your hair is amazing i was screaming when you put it in the bun haha

mithe ryan: Very helpful thank you. :) I dyed my hair purple and I have to swim in gym class so to protect my hair color and the water color I have to wear a swim cap. :)

Nona Au: Thanks. Very informative and concise :D

thefairydoc: I have to start taking swimming two times a week because of health reasons (problems with my back D:) and pretty much this video saved my life :D I thought my long hair would die but... there is hope :'D thanks!!!

khristyn6110: thank you so much you showed me how to put on a swim cap on my own and make a bun \

DyingtobeinKorea: Bought one especially for long hair, had a hard time getting all my hair in there for one thing and two, it slides off when diving or flipping under water. Really annoying Really enjoyed how you made that bun though thx.

Kat: However, I used them every single day for three hours at a time, so a silicone one would probably be just fine for a casual swimmer, rather than a competitive swimmer.

A M: I love Torrin! :3 I use this hairstyle often anyway hehe. I'm like two inches from classic length I'm so proud! :P Lol. I've never used a swim cap, but I've always wondered how to manage with long hair; thanks for the demo ^.^ Good tip about the earrings :O I would have left my 2nd and 3rd piercings if I was doing this. LOL I would get so tangled with loose hair while swimming, plus that would suck trying to comb out. I hope you're feeling better too!

buggiebuild1: It’s true, long hair/chlorine, does not mix. It is an absolute nightmare to brush.love my swim cap ,thank you so much for your upload ,you have beautiful hair too,be safe out there here from Florida✌

Rina!: When I did swimming in elementary school, the swim caps were a bit too large and water would get in and damage my hair, so I would put in conditioner as a leave-in and that ended up damaging the caps (I went through something like 6 per season) and I was wondering if you/anybody else had any experience with that? Like, leave-in conditioners (or other hair products) damaging swim caps?

Jean Paul: This summer I was swimming in the sea pretty much everyday and my hair got so damaged. I did use a cap every once in a while but it is made out of fabric so the water penetrates it. Do u have any tips on how I should prevent my hair from breaking and how I should wash it during these times?

Elias Pratt: Holy crap can you imagine having hair long enough to use it as it’s own hairtie

Amanw: Very helpful for my long hair.

jasmine holland: i hate looking like a cone head every time i put on my swimcap. great vid!

Anuska: I have torn my silicone swim caps twice because i was stretching it too much neither of any of the caps I’ve tried fit properly because of my long hair but I’ll try this one

pallavi uday: Omg thank you so very much for this video ❤️

anon1234qwerty56789: holy hair.... how long is your hair and how long did it take to grow that length?

Mia Jean: Thanks couldn't figure out before! This way is way more easier

Colleen Durante: ....(continuation) Also, I've had my hair super short (think Ellen) and super long (right now it is near my waist) . I swim nearly ever day and I like to change around my caps periodically (you can get bored with swim accessories just like jewelry). All the caps stretch. Search on youtube for: - kids in cap! (fun friday challenge) or - the swim cap eplotkin1 (eplotkin is the user's ID) (the comment section won't let me include the URL)

Jay: You have beautiful long hair.

mox gowland: Hey , it'not just girls that have long hair ! This has been very helpfull . Thanx . (Long haired man )

Regina Campos: thanks for the quick answer ! I was born in 77, but I know about old chin-strapped swimcaps. I'm thinking in more modern racing caps ! I usually stay in the beach for 5, 6 hours, most time in the water, swimming or surfing. I was worried to look ridiculous, tacky, old-fashioned wearing a swimcap. Also, I'm thinking I will have to put it at home, and go to the beach wearing it, because will be tricky to put it there. And I'm sure my boyfriend will complain.

Paul Ryan: Thx so much I was getting frustrated of the chlorine and i didn’t know how to put cap so thanks I added like to video also I want to add that I don’t have long hair but this also works for people with short hair

Ruby Kennedy: I will try this tomorrow. I have the worst time. Thank you!

Athena Creamer: Lucy, I found this vintage swim cap video and thought of you.  I love them, and really wish they would come back in style...(a little before my time...I am 55 in March)  Swimming Cap Fashions (1950s)

Lola Barxatjn: Волосы крутые,прическу делает ,на раз два,и красотка!

Tibees: I jus made a vid showing how I put on a swim cap too, looks equally as much like a cone :P

Salma Abdalla: I make it and so so so so good way to do it thanks so much

Lindolis: How's the Tangle Teezer working for you? I'm wondering if it's time for a follow-up review for that product because I recently watched your first review for that brush.

Rae: any recommendations for what kinds of brushes should we be using if we want to make sure our hair isn't damaged by it?

Rose: OMG THANK U SM I HAVE LIKE UR LENGTH HAIR AND I WAS SCARED THAT I would break it with my length but nope so thank uu

AllaynaSkye TV: Ive tried this and I have really really thick hair and it gets over my hair and head then just slides. My hair is dyed red so I now have to wear a swim cap. (For reference of how thick my hair is if I do 1 right plait it 8cm at the top and that's like as tight as it goes) pls someone help

thrivesurvive: I wish they had those when my hair was long. When I was in 7th grade, my class took a field trip to the public pool. My parents told me I was not allowed to get in the pool until they brought me a swim cap. I waited for hours. When it was almost time to go, they showed up with a cheap, disposable shower cap, the kind you get from hotels. Needless to day, with calf-length hair, it was useless, and completely embarrassing. :( I think yours looks cute on you.

Regina Campos: Great video! Thanks !

Shoto Todoroki: My hair is way long its till my toes i tried to fit it it fitted but water went inside and took me hours to do my hair i found the most biggest swimming cap too but it was the same even though it was costly

lacii .: I have cried so much today because I don’t have an extra long hair swim cap:(

lxannesiu _____: When I joined swim for my future high school that I am going to soon, I've been asking a few people on the team if they can help me with my cap so I hop this video is helpful

Alisha Gonsalves: Thank you so much for the advise.

MrsBrit1: Omg, I was freaking out, sure you'd catch it on the door knobs! Brave of you to do the head banging there!! LOL

Haram Noor: This really helped me thanks

Lan Anh: does it help prevent your hair from getting wet?

purplefunny bunny: 5:09 is awesome when you pull out your hair

Alexia Rosenstiel: Swim caps are more for aero dynamics than protecting your hair

JoeSchmoe: Logos don't matter, I've been swimming for 5 years and every cap has been completely symmetrical

artsandcrafts7: thank you so much because when i put put my cap on it all goes wrong and i have very very long hair so now i know how to put it on thank you.

LoL For laughs: love ur hair!!

Suzanne Bruner: Thank you!! This was helpful. Just curious not critical, why do you like your hair so darn long? Looks like a lot of trouble to me

Paige Smith: I bought a regular Speedo swim cap and haven't tried it yet. If I'd known they had one like this, I probably would have got it. Ah, well. Maybe mine will work! And at least I know HOW to put it on now. I've been looking at the thing like o.O for like 3 months now.

Galila: what if it slides off when swimming?

Kathleen Kahn: Thank you so much!

Maggie Ann: I'm a swimmer and my hair gets completely wet in a swim cap... but my hair is like only just past my shoulder length

Eliana Nishizawa: Thanks for sharing!

Ruati Buongpui Johnsen: thank your it is really helpful

Sadiqua Qureshi: U put perfect bun

CorsetRookie: Hey, that little backward hairbang video is just awesome!

cooliscathy: I noticed that you are a mouth breather, as I used to be too. I learned from my vocal coach that mouth breathing is not only destructive to the voice, but also to your overall health. You should google it. Ever since I quit mouth breathing I have felt much more energetic and I have improved physical stamina. Random, but anyways, very helpful video:)

Summer4life2: Where did you buy that swim cap? I have a latex swim cap and it's soo hard to stretch :(

Buoyant Ayoub: 7 minutes for how to wear a swim cap

Rihana S.: how did u do the bun?

McPrfctday: Every look is a good look for you!... don't even go there. tsk young people! lol But the term 'Muslim Smurf' did pop into my mind. That would be cute, to have different 'nationalities' of Smurfs . Instead of just one blonde chick and a whole bunch of blue blokes 8-o

Marlynna Hoke: I CAN NEVER GET A NAUTILUS BUN TO WORK!!! :(

Anita Samek: I can't get this to work :( I do have the normal one not for long hair, however my problem isn't getting it on or keeping it on, but that somehow water gets in and drenches ALL of my hair. I do dive in it so maybe that is why? none of my hair is peaking out of the cap...I do a vortex bun which is quite flat.

Lucy Spratt: How did u do the bun??

Samantha MacDonald: You can't see any hair bulge in my cap and I have long ass hair, how do I do it? I put my cap on with my hair down then push it all in.

Summer4life2: Thanks for responding!

Mareya Brooks: i have been putting a swim cap on for swim class at school and it’s in the cap and i get done and my hair is wet and idk how

Unknown Tah: amazing video

xXLittle AnaXx: I NEED TO KNOW BECAUSE AFTER MY SWIMMING LESSON IN SCHOOL MY HAIR GETS SOAKED

MyMastershake: love ur video .. but i cant use it cause my hair just goes passed the middle of my ears

Ishika: The struggle is real

Firebird: Put some baby powder in your cap to kill the static
