Hey guys welcome to my channel. My name is rachel and here on gluten curious. I make videos about gluten-free lifestyle, sensitive skin and eczema. People always comment on my hair like wow, it's so silky, it's so soft, so smooth. So i thought i'd make a video on my hair routine and the secret behind beautiful, silky, indian hair. Also right now is gross. I haven't washed it in a while, so it all starts pre-wash. What you're going to want to do is start with some organic coconut oil, so i just take a spoon of this, put it into a little cup and microwave it. So first first step roll up the sleeves also. I hope this doesn't spill on my carpet. So since i've icemon, i sometimes have dry skin all over my scalp and after you wash your hair technically that dries out your skin. So there's nothing really to lock in moisture, at least on your face. You put moisturizer right, but i don't put moisturizer in my hair, so oil i like to think of it as locking in moisture into your scalp. So i'll just put this in the roots of my hair and all over the length of my hair. Here we go. You might want to wait a while, because sometimes the oil is really hot. You see how oily my hair is getting. I'M gon na focus on the parts of my scalp, where i have eczema so kind of like behind my ears over here fun fact. If you go out in the cold with oil in your hair, it will freeze, so you just want to make sure it's all over your hair and i'm going to be honest. This takes like sometimes up to two washes to get out of my hair. You do want to spread the oil around until you can get it to the ends of your hair as well. My routine is like super simple, like people will probably not believe that this is all i do, i'm very like low maintenance once you've gotten the oil through your hair you're, going to want to let it sit for about an hour so i'll be back. So my hair has set for about an hour and i'm gon na go take a shower, so i just got out of the shower, not sure if you can really tell the difference between oil soaked, hair and white hair, you would assume that everybody puts shampoo and Conditioner on the same way, but i'm just gon na go over what i do, because it's a little different. If you don't do the same thing. Obviously so i use vana cream, so i use vana, creams, shampoo and conditioner. This is not sponsored. I wish i wish they would sponsor me if you're watching this. I actually use this stuff every day. So just sponsor me um, so i put the shampoo on only on my scalp. Then i wash it i kind of have to do it twice. Otherwise my hair feels oily still and then, when i put the conditioner, i just move all my hair to the side, then kind of go from the top down. I don't put it on my scalp. I'Ve heard that when you put conditioner on your scalp, that's when you get a lot of dandruff and i already have dry skin so i'm like. I don't want to do that. So now i'm going to let my hair air dry and then i'll check back in and maybe i'll style it a bit. So i kind of skipped a step. I know there's like four steps here, so i use this thing: garnier, fructis fructose. How do you, how do you say that sleek and shine - i normally like put some in my hair like right when i get out of the shower, but i forgot to and my hair is like kind of wet still, but i feel like if i put it In it's just gon na be like super oily. This has like argan oil in it and it's for dry and frizzy hair. So normally i put like maybe two pumps throughout my wet hair, and this is like only five dollars. Okay, i only put like half a pump in my hair and i'm going to rub it in my hair. So hopefully it doesn't look too oily once i put it in make sure to get it in to the ends of your hair. Yeah, that's really it! This is what my hair looks like: oh natural, it's still a little wet, so there you have it. That'S my whole hair care, routine, pretty simple i'll, be putting the links for these items in my bio, so be sure to check that out. I'D love to hear from you guys what your guys's hair care routine is because, like i said, everyone has different hair, so comment below your hair care routine. I love to hear about some of the products you use don't forget to like and subscribe and check out. Some more of my videos see you next time.

Rita Vaswani: my Latino mom would always drench my hair with aloe vera as a pre hair wash mask and my hair would come out silky smooth everyday Oh also Garnier is pronounced as Gar-nee-ey instead of Gar-nee-er

Future Lawyer💜: hello beautiful lady, I am from Turkey, I am very impressed by the beauty of Indian hair and your hair is really beautiful, although I do not fully understand the video, I hope you can give us more hair advice with love

Sharon Israel: i've been looking for a new hair routine so I'll definitely check these out!

ChocolatePheonix: Nice video. I'm hoping to learn more hair care for my nieces, my family is European but one of my nieces is half Indian and her hair gets so tangled and rough...it's beautiful and long so I'd love to help her tame it and not hurt when trying to brush it out. But my sister is pretty strict on using organic and container free or not made in China stuff so the coconut oil might work but I still have to find an after shower detangler/smoothener (Sorry just kinda thoughts haha)

Animation Explanations: I have the perfect summary of the Indian haircare routine. One word: OIL

Muskan Mantoo: Your hair is soo pretty, can't go wrong with coco oil!!

Anna Fresa: Beware, coconut oil isn’t suitable for every hair type. Took me years to realize it’s too heavy for me

Mizu: Beautiful hair <3 thanks for the routine

Annabelle: I do the same thing and honestly can't top what it does for my hair and scalp! It just ends up at another level. Do you do this weekly pre-wash?

Ayesha Khan: Great video, I'm going to try this! But I have a question, how do you get the coconut oil out of the ends/non-scalp part of your hair if you only use shampoo on your scalp? Doesn't it still stay oily? I always end up having to shampoo my ends as well if I use oil, does the conditioner play a role in getting the oil out? Thanks!

S: Your hair is gorgeous! Love it
