Hi, if you want long hair cuts with long layered hair, I will show you how to hack the Flowbee hair clippers intended for short hairstyles to cut hair cuts for girls with long hair.. The Flowbee hair trimmer will give foolproof haircuts to you and your family, even if you don't have any haircutting experience., Knowing how to cut your own hair adds up huge savings for the long run with money and travel time.. Although Flowbee has some annoying flaws, the irresistible pros I've listed has kept me happy with using it for the past eight years.. To achieve this 15-inch layered haircut, I bought an extra set of spacers. Out-of-the-box Flowbee provides spacers for haircuts up to 7.5 inches.. I got my Flowbee from my dad and he bought it when he was .... I don't know when he bought it. I think he bought it in the 80s or 90s.. Yes, it still works. It'S pretty amazing.. I am not advertising for Flowbee. This is just my experience, cutting my own hair and something I feel excited to share with you.. Some parts are already attached to my vacuum, so I'll show you in the following picture.: This is the blade. These are the spacers for the blade, and this is the oil for the blade, the power cord. This hose connects to your vacuum cleaner and this connector seals. The connection this was not included in my box. Flaw. Number one is the rubbery vacuum connector that seals the section in between the hose and vacuum.. I find tape works just as good or even better, and I didn't have the need to buy a new one. Flaw. Number 2 is going to be pretty obvious. With the vacuum running and the blade running loud noise super super loud noise.. I find earplugs a must. If you're gon na use the Flowbee hair, trimmer. [ switch vacuum on loud vacuum. Suction ] [ switch trimmer on loud buzzing ]. Aside from the obvious flaws, Poor quality in the replacement parts was a problem.. There were really big gaps between these new spacers. This creates a really poor suction., If put together, it's really flimsy. And in my solution. Yes, tape: again. Tape is the superhero here: [ click click, sound ] Lightly, pinch the spacers to add or remove spacers. Before reinforcing the spacers with tape you can see, the spacers are really wobbly and the suction is really poor. [ vacuum suction, ], [ tape, sticking to spacers ] To ensure a good quality haircut. This setup is necessary for good section and stability., But once done you don't have to do it again. If you're going to keep the same length of hair style in every trim., * lightsaber, sound, *, [, loud vacuum, suction ], The setup or a long, layered haircut probably takes longer than the haircut itself., Especially if you're doing shorter haircuts the setup and the haircut would Take even less time. To start your haircut turn the vacuum and blades on and feed your hair into the spacers.. Keep using tapping motions towards your head until you've cut the whole layer.. You can't really mess up using the Flowbee.. Flowbee won't cut more or less than the spacers you've set.. It'S recommended to cut half inch to one inch off at a time.. I used two sets of spacers for the longest length. Possible., Even a kid can cut their own hair once the length of the spacers have been set. Up. Flowbee also recommends cutting excess hair off leaving about one inch for the trimmer to cut., With the hacks that I've just shown you. You are definitely not limited to short hairstyles. You and your family can get the exact style you want.. The haircutting itself is pretty straightforward, not very complicated. You can't really mess up., So I think a hair cutting system like the Flowbee is a very good investment. There are a few other haircutting systems out there after the Flowee came out.. If you want to check them out I'll leave a link below.. Unfortunately, I won't be able to tell you if they work well or not compared to the Flowbee. I haven't used those systems. Before., I won't need a replacement until my Flowbee breaks. You. Let me know how the other systems work.. Thanks for watching bye, ...

Loretta Stephenson: Thanks for sharing the hack for long hair, using the tape on the spacers. Great idea, just what I needed for a longer cut!

Mira: Got mine off eBay during lockdown. Still use it all the time on myself and my 2 tween boys. Everyone always asks who cuts my boys hair because it’s so stylish. Haha love this thing and it’s already saved me tons of money!

Haujean Contactee: I just fought for 3 weeks on Ebay and scored a new model direct from the company in a stroke of sheer luck. My Covid-19 hair was looking like crap so I had nothing to loose. On the first try I managed to get a good haircut and found myself totally shocked by how easy it was and how good it worked. I really regret not buying one of these 20 years ago. And that's my only regret. No more salons for me and in 7 more cuts it pays for itself. I recommend the Flowbee vacuum, it's the perfect companion to the system. For the first time I'm looking forward to my next haircut. Great video by the way. I'm trying to talk my wife into using it with more extensions as shown in the video.

therustyaxe: That was inedible. I didn't know the Flowbee could do hair that long. Brilliant using the tape.

USAinDE: I just found your tutorial looking for tips on cutting my son's hair longer on the top and short on the sides without him having hair sticking up in the back. I cut my long, curly hair with two set of spacers. My hair looks shorter than yours, likely because of the curls! I bought mine maybe 10 years ago. It is loud, but I don't need earplugs. I have two sets for me and one set spare for my husband and two boys. I have mine all taped together, too. I find it a pain to untape the base between haircuts, I'll probably eventually buy my own Flowbee used. For cutting my hair, I make two ponytails. I start with a large one on one side and a small section on the other. As I move across my head I move the part, with two uneven ponytails and a section in the middle that looks like a mohawk. This method goes very quickly for me, maximum of ten minutes!

wpc1013: You can find stl files for the extension spacers on ThingVerse. They have designs for 4, 2, 1, 1/2 and 1/4 inch spacers. It's a lot cheaper getting them printed at the library than buying from the manufacturer $24 for a full set and paying the $10 shipping. If the print doesn't fit perfectly you can still tape them on.

jackrabbitsteve: Your hair looks great. I would think that Flowbee should at least put offer a larger attachment in the 6-10" range.

Elizabeth Blane: I bought mine in 2008; it's still going strong.

DD: I use a creaclip and it works really well.

Rob yN: Thank you, very nice hair!

Todd Todd: Impressive work!

Patricia Wolford: Thank you so much!

Enguarde98: Since you're not advertising for the Flowbee. Its competitor the Robocut which actually came out 2 years before the Flowbee is actually designed to cut hair up to 2 feet long. I've alternated between the two of them to cut my classic mullet hairstyle since 2005. There's also the Aircut which came out much later in the mid to late 2000's which doesn't need a vacuum cleaner to cut the hair except is only designed to cut up to 4 inches long.

mindie Carlton: Hmmmmm... I wonder what it feels like maybe good bad idk
