Thanks to our friends at P&H bows for this video on how easy it is to re-hair your bow!

We here in the pH bow could not be simpler when your hair is finished and you need to rehear go to your nearest retailer or distributor and buy one of these spare hands and every time you buy a new spare Hank you get a boost and which Will support the tip end for the operation put the tip into the post and, and that will steady you, the tip. This is the only tool you're going to need taking off the slider, which is very unique to pm8, pose he's off the ferrule. That notice there's! No wedges at all on our part that clears the froggit with the screw he's the head to one side and you will notice there's a special wedge in the tip, just crank that back and there you have the old hack. Take the new Hank make sure that the red end is facing out from the tip pop that into the crevice repeat the operation, with the wedge, just pop that in and gently ease it forward. It'S as simple as that he's out you're here, reload, the ferrule. Remember no wedge is needed, put the hair into the hole in the Frog as normal reload the slider push the ferrule back all the way back, reload your boat and there you go you're ready to go start playing again. It means the system also applies to our range of carbon fiber, most it's as easy as that,

PWL1371: I have wondered if I could Re-Hair a bow . I just shook my head when I saw how easy this process was . Thank you for making this video !!!

The Pedal Car Guy: Thank you for the instructions! My daughter will thank me after I have rehaired her bow!

Susan Delashmutt: A Good video on rehairing the P&H bows. I've been wanting to do this for years as a teacher etc. Now, I'm confident I can. Thanks!

cc92103: Concise & well-said. Thanks!

Boogiewoogie: I have one of these P&H bows and I highly recommend them for beginners on the violin. Well made, perfect weight, well balanced and hair quality is a lot better than the Chinese bows that I've tried. I know these are probably made in China too. Cost me £40 new but worth every penny

BJ BLU: the only how to video that was straight to the point and easy to follow... there is no reason for all these 20 minute videos of people talking off topic. just show us what the video description says. i subscribed

David Bostock: I didn't realize this was a bow brand specific rehair until watching again after watching Gilles Nehr common bow rehair. This is far simpler. I had no interest in rehaiir until purchase of infamous (sales practice) Marxochime Violin-Uke that came with 5 messed up bows, only 1 needed in right hand & a guitar pick in left hand to play. 4 of the bows are probably 1/4 size child suze bows. Ukelin is by a different maker and uses different strings than Violin-Uke. No evidence of rosin use on any of the bows or on the Violin-Uke, one crumble lump of rosin in a holder, not in suitable shape to apply rosin, also in the case. All strings under tension, but a tone lower than labeled pitch. Volume is very low, so I'll need to amplify for my poor hearing.

Sandra clark: I moved several times in the past 8 years and didn't have opportunity to unpack my 2 violins & 3 bows. When I did yesterday, lo and behold all the bow hairs were broken. A local string shop offered to sell me a new bow for ONLY $60 and that was my intention this morning UNTIL I saw how easy it is. I will be buying/ordering new hairs. Thank you for the close up views which were very clear, unlike the other videos I checked out. I'll edit this with an update once I've gotten the new hairs and tried this method. It sure looks straightforward and simple.

SiggeSvahn: The individual hairs of the replacement chunk turned out to be of different lengths. So it looked really weird until I found video showing how to equalize the hairs by heating on a candle. That info should be included in P&H package.

Lawrence Sebastian Bach: Now you've helped mw a greater deal. Thank you so much

Stephanie Fitch: Thank you! I t was much easier to change my bow after watching your tutorial.

N S: I replaced my bow with one of these so I could rehair it myself. So tried to do this for the first time yesterday. The ferrule was on so tight, I was unable to remove it. I gently tried to slide it off with a pair of pliers and it came off alright, but took a part of the frog with it :(.

InfinitePawer: Hi i have 3 questions about rehair. 1. How to measure the proper amount of hair to use in rehair ?? By quantity of hair like 120 140 160 or weight or something else ?? 2. Is it ok for a rehair to appear to have few big gap that can see thru?? I mean those new hair dont seen to close with each other. 3. Should the hair put more in one side than the other according to which side player use to tilt their bow ?? TQ.

Sebastian Salazar: Awsome system !!!1 but do you have for violin bows?? There are more violins than violas and bass instruments

Michael: How much difference does nylon hair make in sound? I am using nylon hairs

Jacob Palmer: What was the name of the tool you were using?

ZeldaStar228: Glad I decided to look this up rather than spend $50 to get someone else to do it when I can spend a measly $10 and do it myself.

bet. cog.: I 're haired my P&H bow in September...it worked grand for 2 months and then it stopped working. The hair don't tighten up anymore...even if I screw it all the way, when I apply pressure to play the hair touch the carbon fibre. I've had this bow for 2 years...really really disappointed
