Longest Rapunzel Hair Ever?! Extreme Disney Doll Reroot

In today's video, I will reroot my brand new Disney Store Classic Rapunzel doll from the movie Tangled. I really love her new face sculpt and face paint, so I wanted to give Rapunzel some extremely long doll hair!
For this make-over, I am using hair from CustomDollHairAU in 52 inch. The hairtype I'm using is a BRAND NEW hairtype: Synatra hair. This combines the best qualities from nylon and saran hair, resulting in this perfectly smooth hair!

Hey everybody it's thedollboy, and today i have a really special video for you. A while ago, i reviewed and unboxed the new classic rapunzel doll from the disney store, with a completely new face mold and face paint that i absolutely love her hair is a pretty good quality, but, as always with my rapunzel dolls, i prefer the hair to be Extra long, that's why i decided to go ahead and give this doll a full reroute about three years ago i posted my first extremely long, rapunzel reroute video, which is now my most popular video to date. So i really wanted to see what this new disney store. Classic rapunzel doll with her new face mold would look like with really long hair. I did notice on my previous rapunzel reroute video that a lot of you aren't subscribed to my channel yet so, if you enjoy these disney doll, makeovers be sure to subscribe to my channel, because that really helps me out a lot. As i said, i really like the hair quality of this rapunzel doll, so i cut off the hair as short as possible right away, so i would be able to use it for a diy rainbow high doll wig. If you want to see how i use the original rapunzel, hair i'll, add an eye guard in the screen right now, when i got all the hair off, i took some boiling water to dip the head in this will heat up the plastic of the head, which Makes it more flexible and easier to take off the head from the body, then i take my tweezers and simply scrape the inside of the head to pull all the hair plugs to the inside to get that completely smooth bold base. I use my tweezers once again to actually take out the leftover hair from the inside of the head by pulling it through the neck hole that leaves the entire head cleaned up, ready to reroute the doll's head with her new long hair for this project. I'M using this 52 inch, reroot hair from custom doll, hair in the color rose gold custom doll hair was the very first sight. I found that sold good quality reroute hair this long. So if you want to create a doll with really long hair, you can check them out. I'M actually trying out this new sinatra, hair from their site for the very first time, which is a new hair type, combining the best qualities from nylon and saran hair. So i was really curious to try it out. The hair color is blonde, with a subtle pink undertone to it, which i think is a really fun color that hopefully, will look really nice on my rapunzel doll. Since the hair i was working with was so long. It did look a little messy when i laid all the strands out, but, as you can see, i kind of spiraled the ends of the hair to make sure at the top. Everything lays very neat, so i can simply take out one single strand without getting a tangled mess. All around rapunzel's hat was quite flexible to start with, unlike the elsa reroute i did recently, so there was no need for me to hit rapunzel's head during the process. So i can just go in and start rooting her hair. For this i wrap a small strand of hair around my finger, pick that up with my diy reroute tool that i made of a cork and a cut-off needle, and i insert that needle into one of the holes in the doll's head. Then i basically repeat those steps for the entire head. As always, i like to start working on the hairline, because that area is the most intense to do, because the hair plugs around the hairline are so close to each other. After finishing rooting, a section of hair, i like to twist it out of the way to make sure you keep everything, neat and organized. I don't always do that, but with her this long, it really helps you out a lot just like in my honor reroute. I posted recently i was a bit nervous for that part line, so i started filling up the rest of the hair before tackling the part to extend the overall hair length even more. I used the same trick as i did in my original rapunzel reroute, but in the comment section of that video i did get a lot of requests. If i could clear this up, so here we go normally in my reroutes. I pick up each strand with my re-root tool in the middle, which gives you the overall hair length that is half of the length of the full strand to make the overall hair a lot longer. I pick up the hair at different points, creating one shorter side and the other side being a lot longer than half of the length. This will give you an overall longer hair length with thinner ends, because not all of the hair will be the same length. I tried to pick up the hair at random spots to make sure i wouldn't get a really harsh line from where all the short ends were folding. The hair, like this gave me a very soft and subtle, layered look and overall the hair length. I managed to get was 1 meter and 10 centimeters, or about 3 and a half feet. The reason i was nervous for the part to break is because there were some pretty big holes in the front, so i wanted to fill those spots last for this. I'M following the line of her original parting space. I do use thicker sections here than for the rest of the hair, so i can split the rooted line into two to reveal her really neat part for this specific reroute. I actually also wanted to add a little extra detail being a small strand of brown hair that i will place at the bottom of the hair, so she can reveal that just like she did in the movie. I did try to pick a spot where it wouldn't show too much in case. I want to do braids and ponytails on her. That'S why i rooted these strands a couple rows behind the hairline. Instead of placing them right behind the ear, then after rooting the complete head, i twisted all the hair out of the way again and go in with my fabry tag glue. I add the glue to the inside of the head to make sure all the hair i rooted will be secured from inside of the head. Then i also take a q-tip and spread out the glue inside of the head evenly. Then i was actually lucky enough to find this purple top made to move barbie in my own collection that i still had laying around that. I will be using as rapunzel's new body as you can see. These bodies have way more movement and posability than the regular disney store dolls, which i really like for my doll photography to get the original head off. I dip the doll's head in boiling water to soften up the plastic, which makes it easier to pull off the head from the body, because my rebooted rapunzel does have quite a lot of hair. I'M adding a couple of elastic bands around the base of the neck bag to make it more sturdy, then i simply put the doll's head on the new body to get my new and improved rapunzel. I did also dip the top of the head in boiling water to make it lay really nice and flat, and then i started brushing it all out and in all honestly, this sinatra hair was such a dream to brush out the brush just glides through it so Easily, so i'm really interested to see how well this hair will stay over time. I have done my fair share of extremely long rapunzel reroutes, working with saran, nylon and now sinatra, and this sinatra hair is definitely my favorite one so far because it barely tangled on me during the process at all and it was so easy to brush out. RG1 WhiteyWins: For the dolls with large holes in the head, I put the head in boiling hot water that has been removed from the stove to shrink the holes back to size. If there are still enlarged ones I coat the inside of the head with Loctite flexible adhesive for vinyl fabric and plastic.. it dries really fast. I also fill the holes on the outside of the head with that product. Works wonderfully. Your doll is beautiful. I have the long hair but wish you could better show yourself slowly making and setting out those individual hair strands. Mine get tangled and very frustrating.
