I was starting to think that it wasn't going to turn up at all.. The box is a bit looking a bit sad. So anyway, let's get the doll out of the box. okay. This is tricky I'll, be back in just a moment: ... ..., The doll box, was stuck in the delivery box. honestly, it took me about 15 minutes to get out Anyway. Let'S get on with our box opening today. If you've been watching our channel for a while. You will remember that earlier this year we were looking for some toddler dolls for Tottie, because the toddler reborn and the Ashton Drake Toddler dolls we have in our nursery, are to heavy for Tottie to play with.. So we were looking for something light to carry and play with not too expensive.. Another prerequisite was long hair because Tottie is right into styling doll's hair at the moment. Anyway. This doll finally arrived several months later after ordering.. So let's get started. ... .., We purchased this doll from Amazon. At the same time, we ordered 4-5 other Amazon dolls.. There was one doll that turned arrived a couple of months ago and we think it's possible a dupe of a reborn doll.. When I looked into it further, I don't think it was a counterfeit doll. It was more likely a clever knockoff, because there were only a couple of things about the doll that were similar and there were many things that were different. Anyway I'll attach that link to that video in the description It's really informative and a great video to watch. If you want to learn more about how Intellectual Property works in regards to dolls and the limitations of Copyright., I also discuss in the video things like counterfeit products, (, which is illegal, ) versus clever knockoff products, (, which is actually surprisingly, legal ). This doll is from NPK.. If I had known this, I wouldn't have purchased this doll.. It certainly did not mention that it was an NPK doll in the product description online when I purchased it.. Apparently NPK is one of these companies that does tend to copy reborn dolls.. So let's get the doll out of the plastic bag. For a child. This is actually quite super cute doll.. It makes a really good gift for a child too.. There is this sweet star pattern on the plastic bag with stars.. It has a birth certificate that you can fill in, there's a cute little bottle and the doll also comes with a pacifier.. What I love most about this doll is the gorgeous vintage inspired outfit., I'm going to pull off the hair netting. Now, If I remember correctly, this doll has quite long hair., So just bear with me: ... .., She's, actually really super cute. Look at her sweet face and I love her outfit. If you've been following our channel for a while, you know that we don't just collect reborns. We also collect vintage dolls plus other types of dolls.. We don't mind a doll, looking like a doll, and this doll doesn't have the look of a realistic doll.. The outfit is beautiful. I think the quality of the outfit is better than Ashton. Drake Gallery dolls. Good quality material has been used to make the doll's dress.. I can see why these dolls are very popular for children.. Here is a certificate attached to the doll.. This is similar to what comes with an Ashton, Drake doll.. Let'S take a look at the hair.. Yes, that's. Definitely a wig.. The hair is lovely with a pretty hair tie.. This doll is not reborn doll quality, but it's a lovely play doll.. She has lovely eyelashes and a really sweet face.. I absolutely love the details on this dress.. It'S really good quality., There's a peter pan collar with pink trim.. The material is pink and blue check with broderie anglaise trim on the sleeve.. I love how the bows on the dress match the bow in the hair.. It'S a really sweet detail.. There are bloomers underneath the outfit., The Mary Jane white shoes, look like PVC with matching frilly socks.. It'S a shame. This is an NPK doll., This company (, if you don't know ), they actually do copy a lot of reborn dolls, which is quite sad.. I can't understand when you've got a country that has a population of 1.4 billion that you can't come up with in an original idea of your own. Looking at the details on this dress, there's no excuse. The people in China are capable of creating their own beautiful dolls without having to copy other people's work.. I don't think this doll looks like a reborn at all, so Idon't think it's copying. Another artist's work., As I previously mentioned when I purchased the there - was no mention of NPK on the product description. I'll see. If i can find the link for the doll and place it in the description., The doll has a little bit of blushing, on the hands and on the knees. She's, just really sweet. In fact, she reminds me of one of the other dolls that we purchased on Amazon earlier this year, when we did that bulk order., I'm actually going to get that doll now and compare them.. The other doll was purchased from a company called Love Bella.. So let me just get that doll now. Gosh! These two are similar. We purchased this doll from Love Bella a couple of months ago. This was one of the first dolls to arrive from Amazon.. She looks so similar to this one.. I will link the box opening for the Love Bella doll in the description.. The hair has a red undertone on this doll.. This doll has a more ash, undertone. I'll, tell you what their faces look so similar and you can definitely see a pattern with their outfits.. Yes, Everyone knows who follows us on the channel that I have a thing for vintage dolls and vintage outfits.. So, yes, we can see a pattern emerging and why these dolls were purchased.. I think I'm going to twin these two because they are similar.. I love how their outfits match with the pink and the blue. That was not planned.. I hadn't even noticed the fact that they both had pink and blue dresses.. Both dolls were purchased from Amazon and I don't think, they're a stolen kit.. If someone thinks they are, a stolen kit feel free to leave the details of kit. They are copying in the comments. On our channel, we love all dolls and we don't Police other people's dolls.. We follow some channels on Youtube and on Instagram, where we suspect that their dolls might not be authentic reborns, but we don't believe in policing other people's dolls. People will buy what they can afford.. It'S not up to me to dictate to somebody else or police to somebody else what they should or shouldn't have in their doll collection.. I just appreciate other people's dolls and stay out of their business.. I never question it. Lkewise here on this channel. If you go back and take a look at the video about clever, knock off dolls, ( I'll put the link in the description ). I discuss in this video that not all dolls on Amazon are rip-off dolls.. As you can see here, these are just play dolls.. Unfortunately, there is this misconception that every doll sold on Amazon is a knock-off and it's it's not the case because Paradise Galleries and um a few other well-known brands, sell their dolls on Amazon.. So I just want to put that out there to stop the misconception. That'S being spread., Obviously there are some dolls that are being knocked off from famous reborn sculpt artists and that's a very difficult and challenging situation as Intellectual Property is a very complex area of law.. I often see comments within the reborn industry that indicate that there is a misconception about the limitations of copyright., As I've said I'll put the link in the description of a video where I outline that in detail about the laws that we have here in Australia. So get on there and take a look at the video because it's it's very complex issue., So I'll just leave it there as that. I'm going to have a chat with Tottie when she gets home from school about the idea of twinning. These girls., It hadn't, come up on our radar. How similar they looked, and I think she'll quite like the idea of twinning them., So we might name them Brynn and Bridie.. I think that's really cute. Show them some love and hit that Like button., So this was definitely a box opening with a difference, As you can see in our nursery, we don't just purchase high-end reborns. We love all kinds of dolls and the price point for these particular dolls. They are less expensive than Ashton, Drake dolls and slightly more expensive than a Paradise Galleries doll. But having said that, the shipping on Paradise Galleries - dolls - are frightfully expensive, so the end result is they end up being more expensive than these dolls.? I think the quality is similar to Paradise, Galleries or Ashton, Drake dolls.. So thank you.
