Cleaning Up Second Hand Rainbow High Dolls (Doll Hair Washing For Beginners)

Hey guys welcome back to my channel. Yes, i did not do an intro, i am lazy, but today we're going to be watching a winter break, ruby and sunny. I got these on makari and i just wanted to wash them before my main collection because logic, i may be lazy, but we are going to do an intro so one second, i just hit an ariana grande note. I obviously filmed this months ago when i got the robes, and these two were gon na, be the first ones but plot twist i did not let them be the first one. I still find it iconic that i watched these two before the main winter break dolls. In my collection, but ruby's pretty much good, she just has a lot of gel. I feel like i never wash rubies enough, because every time i look at her hair reminds me of ariel, and i also forgot how shiny these dolls were. Unfortunately, she had a lot of gel in her hair. I heard some bad things about this doll and her shine is even worse than ruby's yeah, that's pretty much them both. They really just need the gel washed out of their hair, and let me just show you what i'm going to be using in case this is your first time i use shampoo. Oddly enough, it works just as good as dish soap. So whatever you have on hand will work, you can truly see how old this video is, because we have the coconut conditioner, still i'm also using this brush. I believe it's for felting, i don't know, but it really works good on these dolls here so like i got it on michael's for ten dollars totally recommend it, i'm also using a comb in case. I need it anyways guys. It is now time to watch these two girls. So let's start i'm gon na start with ruby, because you know she's, ruby, also red's the first color of the rainbow, so it just like works out. You know i just turned my faucet on to the warm setting and i submerged the doll's head. We could call it waterboarding if we really want to, but yeah surprisingly her hair kind of got soft like right away. So, okay gel was not really holding anything but anyways. She needs her shampooing. So let's pop that cap and get it in her hair. Sometimes when i'm filming i have to re-add some water to her hair, just so that it's like sudsy, but once it's all done. You'Re just gon na rinse it under warm to cold water. I don't recommend hot because then it'll get rid of the wave and you'll have to re-add it in if you kind of want it to be wavy so yeah just don't do that. But, ladies and gents, this is why i love washing doll, hair and don't brush out dry product. It just looks so much nicer when you wash it out and all that, but now we're gon na move on to conditioner. Oh, this conditioner was hanging on for dear life. It did not want to give me any product, i'm kind of viewing this as just like a basic washing video, by the way guys so we're just going to set this up in her hair and then proceed to the combing out section, which is the fun part. Oh, my god, so if you're new to this part, i love to section my doll's hair down the middle. So i have two sections, so i can avoid brushing out the part, because if you brush out the part, it's not going to be easy to put back into the hair and when i am brushing out a doll's hair, i start from the way bottom and work. My way up, you might find hair loss or knots, and i just recommend cutting out any knots if the knots are higher up, try to work them down to a lower length and just cut the knot off at the bottom. If you can, because if you just tuck out a knot, it's gon na really mess up the hair, so just try to cut them out. If you can just like that, she is now ready to be rinsed out under the sink again. I'M going to use warm water and just look at her hair. It'S so much softer and looks so much better after showing off her amazing hair. She decided to just go face first into the sink, but also when you're washing out conditioner make sure to get it all out. You really don't want any of that to be lingering in the hair. It'Ll just make the hair look super greasy and, like feel, very bad, of course, if your doll is thrifted and it's super naughty, that's when i use a lot of conditioner and it does take a lot longer to get out of the hair, but it is worth It at the end of the day, i know the ruby's all done. I'M gon na set her aside for a second and we're gon na move on to sunny the sweaty queen herself, like i mentioned sunny, had the most gel inner curls out of the two. So i am using a slightly warmer tone of water just so i can get all that gel kind of out of the hair as best as it can before, conditioning and shampooing, speaking of which shampoo rain yep. So, while past jay is shampooing sunny's hair, let's talk about the rainbow high versus shadow high event, that's happening in los angeles. On the 22nd of this month i will be attending and i'm quite nervous because i actually have never like left las vegas. Well, that's a lie i have. It was like in 2005 to california, but, like i don't remember, okay, okay, i'm very excited to meet some of y'all and see what they're gon na. Do i'm not sure if there's gon na be exclusive dolls or anything, but let's see if you're attending, let me know down below i'm not sure how long i'll be there, but i'll have split dye here and that's how you'll know it's me. Speaking of hair, we're rinsing out sunny yeah she's, finally get that rinse out look at her looking like cheese and now it's time for the conditioner part. Now, if i'm correct, i remember she had knots in her hair, because i remember i had knots in one of these two girls. Okay, i don't know why, but i'm living for the brush out of these dolls. It'S just so satisfying to watch like just going through the hair like in real life. Sometimes it's a struggle but like watching it back, i'm like dang that looks fun yeah, i'm just brushing out her hair now, and i think this was the section that had the knot because yep there was, but because i noticed that sunny had a slight curl. I was actually going to rinse her hair out, like i do with curly hair dolls that i want the curls to stay. So i just cuffed the hair in my hand and let the cold water like just run over it for a little bit. But like i mentioned you just really got ta, take your time and get all the conditioner out of the hair, and once they were both done. I let them dry on this towel for a second, because it was kind of iconic high key. I took some time to kind of wrap ruby's curl around my finger, just so that that it laid like that this is the best way. If you want a hair flip on your dolls. By the way this is them drying. I decided to just let them dry in their robes and they're just drip drying. In my old doll room, my original winter break dolls are jealous with envy, with their crunchy ass hair anyways, guys i'm gon na. Let them dry and i'll. Show you how i styled them so brb, hey guys, okay, so i'm going to start showing you what the girls look like. They have been done for two months now, two months and i'm actually doing some maintenance work on them, because they've fallen over a few times. Now and their hair was kind of looking, so let me show you sunny first okay, so for sunny i gave her just like a little space bun on the side. I know it looks a little weird, but i kind of wanted to pay homage to her like her original ball, because you know this doll is very different from her original doll like she doesn't have bangs, she hasn't had buns nothing. Her hair looks really nice in the back. I just added some water for right now to it for the video, so it doesn't look too messy, but it's really nice soft hair and i forgot how cute she looks in her second outfit like ugh. These dolls are so nice, like, i really hope they do. A winter break series two and i kind of hope it's like with series two but like they look a lot better than what they look like. You know originally yeah. This is sunny she's, looking super cute and now she's gon na join skylar who's just been alone by herself right there. There you go queen now for ruby. I decided to give her like this little like high ponytail with a bang moment. Um, her hair is currently in a hair net, because um she's fallen a few times now, so her hair was kind of looking nasty. Let me see if it's dry, so i can take it out and show you what it looks like okay. So it is quite wet still, but here's what it looks like flipped. Obviously, when it's dry, it's gon na be a lot softer and fluffier, and i'm gon na put it right back into the hair net right now after i show you guys this just so, it sets overnight but ruby's. Probably my favorite of the two that i did today, i really just love the contrast of her outfit and her hair. I do kind of wish i had junior high rubies like little scrunchy and maybe one of her barrettes. I think it would look so cute in this hair. I tried doing a little piece around the rubber band, but she has weird layers in her hair and it kind of made it difficult for me to do anything. It'S kind of why her hair back here is looking a little funky at the moment, but anyway she's still my favorite, and i actually really love her.
