This video is a great tool for anyone who doesn't have an access to on-line shopping and loves doll crafts! Doll hair is not very expensive but it's hard to find so I decided to use something most craft lovers already have!

Materials:

- Acrylic yarn (here's a very similar one): https://amzn.to/2C0KH6Q

- PVA glue: https://amzn.to/2MWmmkT

The yarn I'm using is super cool because of different shades - it creates this cool highlight look. Yarn is really cheap and you can get it in big quantities and you don't need that much for the project!

Strands of hair I made in this video are perfect for making a doll wig or gluing straight into a doll/any creation. They're not best for re-rooting - you'll need longer pieces without the gluing part.

If you have a pet brush it will be very helpful to de-tangle the yarn faster.

Hello and welcome back to my channel, so today's video is going to be DIY to show you on how to make this adorable realistic, dole hair out of yarn. So this hair was made only using yarn and I'm gon na show you how to do this. So let's get started a pair of sharp scissors some glue, and here I'm using the white PVA glue, also known as Lascaux blue, fine comb, a brush a pencil or anything with the same sort of shape and this one's optional. But I'm gon na using an old hair straightener on the lowest settings, which is 113 degrees Celsius. I also have some cellophane just to protect my sectors, so we want to start off by taking our yarn and measuring how long we want the hair to be so then you want to make some pieces that are double the size or like the length of the Hair you want to make so this is how the piece should look like and now we're gon na make multiple of them. So now you want to take all the pieces. You have and start tying them into your tool or pencil like this, so you might want to make sure that the pieces you cut are a bit longer than the hair you actually want. So once you have all the pieces, you want to take your comb and start company starting at the bottom, and this is how the hair looks like so far, and you can obviously leave it like this. If you want to - or you can follow the next step so now you want to very carefully and make sure you have an adult around you. If you are not old enough to do this, but you're going to want to take your hair, straightener and gently straighten. All the strands and look at those hair, look how cool it looks it's so smooth and shiny, and it's perfect for a unicorn, inspired, dull or maybe unicorn so we'll see. Maybe I'll have some other projects coming up save so now we're gon na take some glue and put that on our little cellophane so make sure you have some plastic surface. That is going to be easy to peel the glue off and then you want to cut off your hair out of this tool and leave that or throw it away and layer it and the clue. So, while you're waiting for this to dry, you can try it out with other yarn colors. You can create so many hair colors, using just yarn that you probably already have lying around in your house. So once your pieces are dry, you can just want to cut out the excess blue to have nice and straight line so yeah. This is how the hair looks like it's so nice and smooth, and it gives you Beast effect of like highlights. So that looks pretty cool and you can use it to reroute your dull or make a dull ache or use for any other projects so yeah. That is it for today's video, if you guys enjoyed it, don't forget to give it a thumbs up. If you did and I'll see you soon bye, you

Triple Bounce: I liked doing this yours was great!

The Unicorn: Last night, I finally dove in and started to make wefts (after years of watching doll customizing channels and wanting to try myself). I noticed the comment that said breakage is normal, but at what point is it not salvageable? Is it better to have the yarn length short as to not break with unraveling (is mine too long at 14, 18 inches)?

Hey_Wolf: I use a hanger to put the hair strands on for combing!

Mercedes Fiorella: Passion fruit is by far the best video I have seen thank you so much.

Alejandro Moreno: OMG love it, i'm gonna try it because I need a fake pink beard thanks for sharing

Vincent 19: This looks fun! Question, could you use several colorways for the same hair and would it tangle together or something?

Alicia Lawrence: Did you use acrilic yarn for the doll wefts

Anna Belle: I tried this with multiple yarns but it breaks off so much that it not long enough

The Unicorn: Does the music remind anyone of “Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street”? Probably why I wholeheartedly disagree with the comments that find it creepy and clashes with the video. It’s whimsy and mysterious; works well with a fantasy feel, which ties into the unicorn reference in the video.

BTS BLACKDEVL: Super

emma renke: It doesn't work for long hair :{ but it dies work with long hair when you Each strand individually Braid open
