This video should help you put together the pattern pieces that I have included us PDFs for the scrub cap for long hair, and it also includes the headband piece which is used for that and for this growth cap that has no elastic now. The cap side is in two pieces. What you want to do is there's some overlap, so you want to find a point that is present in both pieces and go outside of that point so that you have some overlap when you go to piece them together. So I'm gon na choose the D unfold and I'm gon na make sure that I can see the D on both of them and here's this one. I'M gon na go past to the L, maybe, and I'm gon na, take my tape and I'm going to use the grid that I included to help me line it up like so. I'M gon na hold it there and get my tape and then join it together and that's your pattern piece I like to reinforce it by taping the other side as well, just to give it a more secure, hold you'll do the same thing with the cap top Again, I'm gon na find a common point in this case. I'Ll do the D again and I'm going to make sure that I can see it on both pieces and this one I'll go past. The D to the L just got ta have a point to line them up and I go overlap it and secure it on the other side. Lastly, for the headband tie center, I'm going to go to the end on both sides and make sure that I have enough extra and secure the other side. Here are the three pieces together you you

Shena Clark: Hi there - love your tutorial - one quick question - on your patterns - are the numbers in inches? (For instance the CAP TOP - is that 10 inches long?) I'm having a hard time getting the pdf to print and so I'm tracing the pattern (LOL!) so just want to make sure the measurements are correct. Thanks so much!

jmsva69: I hope this is not a stupid question. I did watch the video and I watching it again in case I missed the answer to my question. I also read the comments and could not find an answer. My question is what is the difference between the updated and the letter size printout patterns for long hair? I can't thank you enough for producing this tutorial. It is mandatory for my daughter and her coworkers, who work in a surgical dental office, to have their hair completely covered. 6 of the 7 women all have long hair. Do you think the long hair pattern will allow them to tie their hair up in a bun on top of their head if they choose to as well as have space for a pony tail if they want that? I also watched the pony tail video and I have the same question for it. There were 2 of the ponytail pattern templates that I could not print to size and presume that they are to see what the complete templates will look like. One was the full Ponytail cap side, which is 16 inches long and the other was the ponytail cap top in one piece. Looking forward to hearing from you.

tinachoi2014: I really want to sew this to show support for my daughter but can't find the link of the pattern. Can someone tell me where? Thanks guys.
