Welcome back guys, good today, I'm finally doing a super highly requested video, I'm gon na show you guys how I cut my hair at home. I just saved so much money not going to salon. You spend around 80 dollars, sometimes up to a hundred dollars. If I did my products - because you know sometimes you're already at the salon and you want to buy whatever they put in your hair, so it's taking you to the money. I know this isn't the professional way of doing it. This has worked for me and yell at that said, we're going to go ahead and jump right into it. I'M just you get to see like how long my hair is it does come down to like all I do is, of course I go through and detangle. My hair, like you, do long layers in the back and then a face frame. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to section off the area in the front that's going to have the long layer so that I can get to it at the end. I'M just imagine if you had bangs how far up with you would you want the bangs to go? You wouldn't want them to come all the way back here. So don't start parting. Your hair back here start a little bit closer to the front of your ear. The thoughts pretty good for me and you can see this is how long my layers are already and then I'm going to go ahead and do the same to the other side. So now I'm going to take that section and just clip it at the top of my head. So it's out of the way now that I like with the who, from Whoville I'm going to go ahead and start working on the length. So I'm going to take my hair and part it in two pieces and I'm going to clip the top part away from my head, and this is what I'm left with right here. So now, I'm just going to cure that piece with a pony tail. I just find that this is the easiest way for me to cut the length, because my hair is so long. You can use a comb for this part if you're more comfortable, but where I like to do is start by smoothing the ponytail out and up and then once I get to the very end, I'd bring it to the front and start cutting. So that's about how much I want to cut off so once I have it to a length. I just start cutting straight up and I just like to add a little bit of texture by cutting it this way, so you guys can see it gives it kind of like a PC. Look and you'll be able to see a lot better. Once I let my hair down, but now we're going to work on the second half so now, I'm taking the second half and I'm putting it in a tight ponytail and we're going to do the same thing that I did to the bottom piece. So I'm just smoothing it, and once I have the amount that I want to cut off, I'm going to go ahead and cut it straight across and then texture it and I'm also going to make sure to cut it a little bit shorter at then. The bottom part, because I want it to have layers in the back okay, so once I let it down, you guys, can see all the layers that it's warm and you can see when I bring it to this ride. It also has like the layers coming from the front and back so I'm going to go ahead and secure the rest of my hair back. So it's not in the way. Now this front piece is going to be what gives us our face frame and I'm going to go ahead and do the same method, which is put my hair up in a ponytail. This is going to be your shortest layer, so make sure you start off a little bit longer, especially if you don't know how long you want your layers just start up a little bit longer and then continue to take a length off as we go. I already know that I want it this length right here, so I'm just going to go ahead and cut straight across. I always like to smooth the hair up and then bring it back in and then I turn it to the side and give it some texture. So now I'm going to remove the ponytail just kind of see where I'm at so. This is what I'm left with right here and you can see. We still have a pretty long layer down here. So now I'm going to bring the rest of the hair to the front and see how it aligns with the rest of my hair. Okay, we're almost done guys and now you're starting to see my hair has a lot more movement now, because it's got a little bit layer. So you can see, there's like a huge gap between here and my next layer, so I'm gon na go ahead and smooth that out. So all I do to smooth it, as I just take my scissors and star angling them downwards and if you start taking sections of hair and just kind of just doing like little baby cuts - and you see you just take a little bit off and that's it. We'Re completely done, but I actually want to bring some of my bangs up a little bit. So I'm going to start by grabbing just a little bit of the front section and I'm going to do the same to the other side. And if it's easier for you, you can also put it up in a ponytail like you did earlier, but I'm just going to go ahead and free cut this one. So I'm just smoothing it up and we're going to cut. You can see that brought my layers up just a little bit. That is how I cut my hair. This is how I'm like here. This is the following day. I went ahead and wash my hair and I spelled it the way normally do I usually use either curl it away from my face, so I would still have the bangs kind of slipped back like this or I give myself a blowout, which is exactly what I Did today - and I do have a full video showing you guys - how I do my own blowouts at home, so all these up they're going down below for you guys but yeah, that is my haircutting routine, that I do at home. I hope you guys find it helpful, like I said, I'm not a professional hairstylist. I'M sure that I'm not doing the proper techniques and all that. But this works for me and DISA saves me so much money over the past year and so yeah I'm going to let you guys go. I hope you subscribe and like the video, and I will talk to you guys next time, yeah bye,

Ammeta: your videos have the perfect timing!!!! <3 I was actually googling salons this whole week for a haircut lol im so glad you uploaded this, I think I'll just cut it at home now lol <3

Andrea Flores Tv: I will try this tomorrow!!

A Taveras: Ladies if your hair is LONG and THICK this video is perfect! I've watched other big YouTubers and tried their methods my hair ended up extremely crooked. When I tried your method it actually worked my hair looks beautiful! I love it♡ Thank you for sharing.

Tiondra Henderson: I haven't even watched yet and I am soooo here for this. I fully believe every woman should know how to do her own hair. Whether it be cut, dye, style..whatever. It's just great in case you can't afford a stylist, or maybe can't get an appointment in time for an event. So yea, I'm super excited that you did this!! Ok now lemme actually watch, lol

Ashley Palomo: This was the most quick simple and to the point I've ever found here for cutting hair everyone else ha so many steps and it was very difficult to follow but I love your viedo and how you explained every step I did it and my hair looks amazing!! My hair is as long as yours and I don't really trust anyone with it but. Now I'm gonna do it myself ❤️❤️

Mariah Mussenden: I just tried your tutorial and it came out sooo good!!! I'm in love with it!! I'm definitely going to cut my own hair from now on! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO!!!!❤❤❤❤❤ (P.S. I added another ponytail in the back to get 3 layers, and it works beautifully).

Madeira Meridith: This was great! I have 3 (long haired) daughters, and when I include myself its a lot of time and money at a salon. Cheap haircuts are often a waste of money as well. I have always wanted to try at home layers, but I never found a video that wasn't scary. Thank you for this!!

Flutterby 84: This is exactly how I cut my hair! I thought it was only me that did it like this lol. Thanks for sharing❤️

Sparkly One: It's great to see that others cut their own hair, too! You are beautiful and talented. Love your videos!

Maria Lopez: I love this! I have been thinking of doing my daughters and hair and now I feel ready. Don't worry lol if I mess up it's long enough where we can get it fixed

Lalida K: I’ve been cutting my own hair for 3 years now and was searching for a new technique, this was by far the best !

Jess Smith: Just tried this method at home. Was sooo nervous to do it but followed your method and it works great! Thank you so much for posting!

Totally Yari: Just finished doing this method and it looks good!! Next time I think I’ll do one more part and give myself another layer. I liked that I did it with straight, dry hair too instead of wet.

Lorena Arias: Thank you, thank you, thank you! I tried this method and loved how it turned out! I did longer layers by placing the ponytail lower (to the back of my head, I was afraid of cutting too much).

Vanessa Nicole Makeup: You made it look so easy girl! You are blessed with gorgeous hair ❤️

Ellie Mayven: I tried this and it turned out beautiful thank you for sharing this! Easiest to follow tutorial for self cut hair.

Fernanda: I make this and was PERFECT!!! Thank u!!!! // Eu fiz e ficou perfeito, obrigada

Faafofoga Dunham: Thank you!you made it so easy for me to cut my long hair!I haven't cut my layers for while didn't know how to cut it but now I can do my own hair.Thank you!!!

Sherrie Lynn: I seen your first hair cutting video and I have to say thank you for saving me so much money going to the salon thanks for sharing with all of us

Isamar Moreno: Great video! I cut my hair almost the exact same way and I always love how it comes out :)

Simply Mel: Loving this hair cut routine !! I will definitely be doing this to save some money !!

Beauty by Claudia: OMG YES ! Easiest video by far to cut your own hair. I have long hair as well and im scared to go to a salon because a lot of stylist get scissor happy & cut off way more than you want. I followed your instructions & it was super easy & my hair came out perfect thankyou <33

Creative Life: OMG, I needed this video!! My hair is almost your length (a bit shorter as it only hits my waist) but definitely not as full and voluptuous as yours but I sit with scissors and simply cut every split end I see. LOL!! My BF cringes when he watches me but I don't want to bluntly cut my ends straight across so I just pick at single strands. I think I will try your method especially since it manages the process of cutting super long hair and I am not at all talented when it comes to doing my own hair. Lol!! THANK YOU!!

richchild9 Hm: @misslizheart I have been cutting my hair since I was 14. I found that when I go to the salon, no more where, they never cut my hair the way I wanted. They always cut more than I asked. So I learned to cut my own hair. You do a great job with all the hair you have.

Reina Moreno: Liz, thank you for sharing! Love all your videos! Can you do a video on how you curl your hair? I love your hair

chebozka: Thanks a lot! This method works for me and I cut my own hair just perfectly :)

Constance Hildreth: You do an amazing job cutting your own gorgeous hair. I have not been to a stylist in 7 months and your video was just perfect timing to inspire me to cut my own hair at home. I love your long layers and hope to have a similar end result! ❤

Mini 미니: I've tried this method, today! I was kinda worried because my hair is a lot shorter and I have pretty thin hair! And it worked out so wonderfully! Thanks, Liz! I will use this method forever haha

A Taveras: I loved how quick you explained it I rewatched the video like 12 time going through the process but that was a good thing because you saved me so much time and money! THANKS SO MUCH♡ I subscribed :)

Some People These Days: OMG you're crazy talented lol Amazing Liz. Thanks for sharing! I love texturising.

Tashanda Myers: This was so helpful I'am gonna give it a try THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING ❤

JVSak: Love this! My hair is about half way down my back- no where near as long as yours. Do you think this technique would still work? I've cut my own hair for years- but it involves a lot more steps. I always get compliments from my friend that's a hair dresser though! xo Jill

Ava Funderburk: Love it! I've been cutting my hair myself forever and I can't go to the salon ever again lol.

Crystal: You make it look so easy peasy! Lol if I hadn't cut my hair short I'd def do it this way!

Anna Msryan: Loved the video Liz your hair is absolutely stunning, definitely keep the hair tutorial videos coming! I love it and always look forward to your videos #hairgoals #snapchat #snapfam ✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️

mousumi sengupta: You are soooo brave to have cut your hair on your own. I would never do that even in my dreams... A big thumbs up for this video. P.S. I am a new subscriber to your channel all the way from India, and I am already loving your videos.

monicaa4a: Thanks so much for sharing, you did a beautiful job! I wonder how long it took for you to perfect this technique. I was just thinking of cutting my hair.

Nichole Lopez-Smith: Can't believe I missed this video and I have totally been contemplating trying this to rid my hair of all the dry ends. Doing this tonight! Also, what do you use in your hair to keep it so healthy and shiny????

Percy Cruz: Wow I love it, definitely loved watching this video! Can't wait for the next video!

anna colada: I just followed this and my hair turned out perfect! It was so easy, thank you so much for sharing <3

Claudia Cardenas: You're naturally good at everything I love this ! ❣️

Robbin Stephens York: I have always cut my own hair....and you just taught me some great tips ...Thank You!

MsBubblegumkitty: As a former cosmetology student the irony is this is pretty much how you do long layers minus the pony tails. If you were to bring all of your hair to the tip top of your head and cut it all even when you release it you'll have long layers!

Katty Guerrero: I love it . I'm going to start doing that, where did you get your scissors from? They look like they do a pretty good job I've tried some that won't cut smoothly like the one you are using. Thank you

Ruby W.: Im definitely gonna try this Miss Liz! I have a long hair and been thinking of layering it and been watching lots of tutorials on how to do it lately! I think my hair is as long as yours..

Café con Dulce: THANK YOU for this video!!! I went for it and LOVED the result! You’re a gem New sub here! ♥️

JP jp: hi liz, my whole hair only is as long as your bangs lol.. but i love the length of you hair before your trim. how long does it take to grow from the length I have right now? I am in love with you hair! so healthy too!

L H: Liz I love you!!!❤️ You're videos make my day!! I even got my bf into watching lol.. Thanks for being my inspiration! I really want to send you a gift where can we send them?

Beauty Addict Next Door: This video was super helpful! Thanks girl ☺️✨

Selma FB: My hair is exactly the same length as yours, and I've been putting off getting a haircut forever. I am now going to try to do it myself after watching your video. Wish me luck! :)

Love ya Liz This time before watching the video had to check snap for the chosen emoji so here we go... ✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️
