Welcome back guys, so today I'm going to be chopping, my hair off. Let me show you guys how long it is it's been a year since I've been to a salon. I basically just do maintenance at home. It is so long right now. So I'm thinking of taking like this much off we'll see if I'm brave enough, I'm just give my hair some movement. It'S super flat right now. Hopefully guys find this video helpful. If you do, it definitely give the video a thumbs up and subscribe before you go and let's go ahead, jump into it. I'M gon na start off by sectioning my hair. I usually part my hair to this side. So that's what I'm gon na do and I'm gon na section off just the front of my hair so like right where the ear starts, and that way I can later go on and like face-frame. If I want so like that much you can see, this is like the shortest part of my hair, just securing it with bobby pins. Then I'm gon na go ahead and divide at the top part. It'S just like the crown area. So I'm starting like where the arch of my brow is and I'm just gon na go so I'm gon na go ahead and secure that to the top of my head. This is the last piece we're gon na work on and then this is everything that's left. So now I'm gon na go ahead and section this into two parts. So I'm starting like right, where my top will make your starts, and I'm just going back and I'm gon na put both of those pieces into piles. You want to try to make both pieces. Pretty even so, once I have both ponytails, I can go ahead and start cutting, and this is how I like to do it. I will start in the longest length and going all the way up until I have reached the length that I want to cut, and I want to cut about that much. I just bring it to the front like this making sure not to lose my place and I'm just gon na start cutting I like to cut in an upward angle like this. You know it's kind of choppy, but that's okay, we're gon na go in and clean. It up, I always say, start with a little bit because you can always cut more off later and I always get myself a little bit of room for error. So now the next layer I'm going to do the same thing, I'm smoothing it all the way up and I'm gon na cut off just a little bit more than I cut off before just smooth it up and then bring it around do the same thing. So next I'm going to take the bottom ponytail off and I'm gon na put the top part of my hair in a ponytail. Now we're gon na do the same exact thing that I did earlier so just smooth it up. I'M gon na take about this much off. Now, I'm gon na go ahead and blend, so I'm gon na put this piece back up in a little bun and I'm gon na release that middle ponytail and blend this into the bottom part. You can see how it almost starts to form like a little layer already so now to blend this. I'M just gon na divide, my hair in half and I'm gon na go with a brush or comb and we're just gon na go in sideways like this, and you guys see how it kind of starts to form like a natural v. That'S what we're gon na clean up do something to the other side. They see that natural v that starts to form just gon na clean that up. This is what we have so far. Okay, so now we're going to blend this bottom part into the rest of the hair, so again we're just following that natural lead and just cleaning it up see how it starts to kind of start to like be up like that. So I just continue blending that shorter layer at the very top with the longer layers at the very bottom, and I continue doing this all the way around my hair. So now for the bangs we are just going to, you can actually put your bangs in a ponytail if it makes it easier for you, but I'm just gon na freak on it. You can basically do exactly what we did and just tie a ponytail right here. Same thing that we did with a ponytail, I'm just gon na comb - it all the way up, I'm gon na put about that much off. This is what we have left. So you can see how there is a pretty big separation and gap between this hair and the next layer. So now we're just gon na blend that in hard it, the way, usually part it this and we're just gon na take some of the hair from the long piece and then some of it from the short piece - and this is gon na help us blind everything. Together, I like to take my scissors and angle it downwards and we're just gon na start kind of snipping all the way down. It'S like a little baby, and this is what your left, what I think you can see now, it's so much better. We'Re gon na continue blending all of that down. Just like that. Now we're going to do the other side. This side is always a little harder for me to do because I'm right-handed, so I'm actually gon na bring my bangs up just a little bit. So I'm gon na take just like that much and I always like to do this cuz. I guess it gives your face a nice little frame without having to have like super short bangs, and that is perfect, so you can definitely go in there and clean it up a little bit more if you wanted to also if you wanted, like even more layers, You could pick up this part again and you can make it a little bit shorter, which is what I'm gon na. Do I'm gon na shorten it just a little bit just gon na make it a little bit shorter, just to like add a little bit more layers to the bottom of my hair. Go ahead and smooth that up, I'm gon na cut that much off, and that is it now. We should have the desired layers. You have shorter pieces up here and we have longer pieces down here and now. What you can do is make sure that both sides are nicely even by just parting, your hair down the middle yep you're good, so that is it for today's video. Thank you so much for watching make sure to give the video a thumbs up if you enjoyed it and also consider subscribing before you go and try this at your own risk. I just that I'm not a professional. If this is what works for me and ya, I'm gon na, let you guys go and we'll talk to you guys next time, bye,
