Long-Hair Makeover For Husband & Wife (And Rach Gets The First Cuts)
Between the 2 of them, this couple hasn't had a haircut in 31 years. Hairstylist Tabatha Coffey gives them MAJOR chops—but Rach handles the scissors first!
I'M Charles.: This is Michelle. Hi., We're from Wanaque New Jersey and we need a makeover. ( upbeat music ). It'S time for this to go., I haven't gotten my hair cut since 1998.. So that's been twenty-one years., This stuff grows like a weed.. I haven't cut my hair in ten years.. My daughter has never seen him with short hair in her whole life and she's going to be seventeen. So it's been a long time. ( rock music ). I used to play in rock bands back in the 80's and 90's.. That'S who I was drawn: to. The guy with the long hair., The guy in the band. Hell yeah he's got the dad style.. Maybe we'd, look quite a bit younger. If we didn't have the gray in our hair. And fifty-eight and fifty isn't very old., That's the new. What Thirty and forty or something like that., Yeah yeah, we'll go with that. (, laughs, ). I wear mostly jeans and t-shirts. Very practical clothes. And I've gotten very comfortable with that.. I deal with a lot of people on a corporate level now and I'd really like to look more the part I think. I'm a lunch lady, so I wear uniforms all day at work. When I get home I just put on comfy clothes. And I'd just like To maybe feel a little better about myself. When I go out with my friends, they all look so glamorous and I kind of feel like the frumpy mom type., (, laughs, ), (, upbeat, music ). I donate my hair to Locks of Love.. I'Ve done it several times and I really wanted to do a full makeover. Along with the haircut. I can do both.. I can donate to a good cause and also do something nice for me.. I wan na kinda. Look like I feel. Ya know. I feel like the young, fun casual mom. And that's what I wan na look like. My daughter. She doesn't think I'm cool, but I'm gon na be cool., (, laughs, ), ( applause, ) Charles it looks like your daughter, is also well on the way.. She must have your hair growing genes., Yes, apparently yes.. So can I just spin you around of one second Charles. I wan na show. Tabitha had to put four different ponies in because you said you couldn't get your shears through.. I couldn't get my scissors through one.. I mean his hair.. I mean this really nicely., It's like a horse's tail., It's unbelievable You're, so lucky., No, my sister has hair like this.. It grows so fast and I think it's wonderful that you donate your hair., But we need to.. Do something. Do a little something bro. ( laughter ). We got it. Come on man., Let's get in the game., Charles ya, ready You've done this, a bunch right! You ready! This is my third time. And we're going to donate your hair right Yes.. So it's going to a good cause. Tabitha. Turn sideways.. How close to this? Do you want, Let's cut Above it or below it? No! No above. Golly., Just ..., Really Yeah yeah. Okay. Your good with sharp instruments. ( audience gasps ). Oh my god, Rachel ( applause ) Keep going Yes., I'm gon na keep going.. This is fun.. You can keep going.. Can I cut all of them. Yeah go for it., (, audience, laughs, ), ( applause )! You just took over my job. Wooo hoo ( applause, ); Alright, let's open the doors and let's get these guys out. Here., ( applause, ), Alright, turn around.! Look at each other., ( crowd, screams! )! You Look at you Wait. Oh my gosh Awwwww Come on over.. Don'T you two look cute Wow? What do you think They look fabulous.? Oh my gosh., Oh she's crying.. We don't want you to cry., So Michelle first of all.. What do you think? Oh? I can't believe it. He looks so awesome.. I look. Chiroptera: I just ( on Christmas day ) shaved my hair off, it was all the way down to my bum. I got covid and a month after my hair went so bad, it started to come off in my hand when i had a shower and when i brushed it. So i asked my husband to cut it off at the bra line and then it stopped shedding but it was still so frizzy and bad so i shaved it and now it can grow out again. I actually love it, minimum shampoo and goes so much faster to have a shower and it dries in minutes lol

carol sanders: One thing I can't deny my hair grows quickly I have cutting my hair in the past maybe 10 years about three times up to shoulder length and now my hair is down to my waist I've never had trouble growing my hair it grows within 6 months it's already halfway down my back I'm not complaining though I just turned 50 and my hair still grows like that and I love it because my mother died from cancer and she lost all of her hair so I am grateful that I have a head full of hair and it's thick and yes I diet but I'm never going to stop doing that I do have the grades but I love my hair and I'm not ready to cut it one day.
