Hey guys, I've been meaning to do this braid for a while but kept putting it off because I didn't have any ribbons. ^_^' I did this braid by accident when I was trying to do the 4-strand chain/box scarf braid (link below). The placement of the hair and ribbon is important so always make sure that you have 2 strands of hair on one side and 2 ribbons on the other. :) Enjoy!

Hey guys in this video I'm going to show you how to do this four strand ribbon braid and then I'm going to show you how to turn it into a cute little headband for screen. So let's get started on this tutorial. So first off you'll need a long ribbon here, I'm using a pink one, because I'm just curling like that and you'll also need a hair tie and then you're going to loop. Your ribbon right through your hair tie and pull it all the way through. Just like so brush your hair to one side and tie it into a side ponytail when you're done, you should have something that looks a little bit like this. So, first off you want to take your ponytail and divide it into two equal sections and I'm going to label it strand one two, three and four. So now I'm going to let go of strand four and hold on to the two strands in the middle. With your strands two and three, with my right hand, I'm going to reach for strand one going from underneath and then I'm going to wrap it over strand three, then I'm going to let go of this strand so now this is strand - and this is strand 3. Now, with your left hand, you want to reach for strand four and wrap it over strand two, and you always want to go from underneath. Then you want to let go of the fourth strand, so the two strands in the middle are always going to be the focal strands and the two strands on each side are always going to wrap over the middle ones. So now I'm just going to repeat it: reach over four strand, one wrap it over strand. Three then reach for strand four and wrap it over strand two. So strand one goes over strand 3 strand 4 goals over strand 2. So I'm basically going to repeat the exact same steps until I reach the bottom of my ponytail. So now back to me Here I am reading the exact same braid on the side when you reach the bottom of the braid grab, an elastic hair tie and tie it off with the ribbon. If your braid happens to be a little bit tight, then all you have to do is tug on the hair to just give it some volume. Here'S the finished, look from the front and the back, and you don't have to use the ribbon for this. If you think is a little bit too girly, you can always use a scarf to transform this look into a headband. All you have to do is wrap the braid around your head, bring the ribbon to the other side and just pull it through the hair tie. You can just leave it as so, but I'm just going to tie it into a cute little bow, and that completes the look.
