Braided Updo Hairstyle For Back To School, Everyday, Party, Medium/Long Hair Tutorial

Here comes a Holiday hair tutorial on a very soft and feminine curly updo with a side braid, great for medium length and long hair. It works best on curly hair (at least wavy hair, just not straight!) and once your hair is curled, it's really quick and easy to recreate. It's a perfect hairstyle for Christmas and New Year's eve as well as wedding, prom, ball, graduation, etc.

Hi guys here comes another hair tutorial on a soft curly up top. That'S many of you have requested you've been asking me to show some hairstyles that cover your ears, and this look is perfect for this purpose. Once your hair is curled, consider half of the work done, because the curls are going to do most of the work for you and when my hair is curly or wavy, it's so much easier to style so to get sides bouncy curls, without damaging my hair. I want to sleep with my jumbo hair curlers in one of my previous videos. I'Ve shown you how to apply these curlers to get the most beautiful results so feel free to check it out. So in the morning, once my hair is totally dry, I can remove the rollers and work on the texture of my curls. This step is very important because the curls we're going to obtain initially won't look anything interesting. We want to redefine them, so we basically grab a thick curl obtained from the curler and splits tiny strands of hair from this curl and to be able to preserve the definition of our curls with twists each tiny strands of hair around our finger. Personally, I just love these girls. They allow me to create so many different, hairstyles and totally transform. My looks because my hair is super straight. When I get this tie, it's bouncy playful curls, I feel like I look like a different person and since in dry weather, these curls last up to three days actually relax over time and over three days. I can experience a wide variety of curls from very tight to very loose, so as usual. The first thing I want to do is section the hair I'll use to create my braids. It'S going to be a narrow section of hair above my ears, I'll basically keep some hair in France for the last moments and they heard the back for the bar. Now we're going to create a regular Dutch braid, so grab three thin strands of hair start as if you wanted to create a regular braid place, the outer strands under the middle one. Actually, if your hair is much longer than mine, you could create a regular 3 strand. Braid always answer your ends, but here since my hair is medium length, I'll start adding extra hair to my braid, I bring the left strand in the middle and add some loose hair to this strand. I bring the right strands in the middle and I had some loose hair to this strand and so on. Quick cross - and we add we cross and we add when I feel that my hair is long enough to create a regular braid that will reach the back of my head. I stopped adding extra hair and braids normally now it's time to make this braid look trendy. So we're going to tag on the sides of our braid to loosen it up and make it look soft, voluminous and beautiful. Can you see the difference? I think it's quite impressive. So now, Willy to braid the hair, all the way down to the ends, volumize our braid and tie the ends with a small elastic. The next step is optional, but to add that extra glamorous attached to this hairstyle, I'm going to tease the hair. On top of my head, so I pick a strand of hair and carefully backcomb it near the roots only near the roots, then I grab the following strand and repeat the same procedure and so on now I can bring my hair to the back and even on The surface next, I want to secure the top sections of my hair into a tiny cute ponytail. Your hair should look something like this. If you don't tie your hair too tightly, we can still loosen it up and add some extra volume to it and now a small trick. We want to flip this ponytail up for it and secure it with bobby pins above the elastic bands. This is one of my favorite techniques to create a very interesting half, updo hairstyles, but we'll go on and create a nap. We want to incorporate all the hair into a kind of a loose bun created, multiple twists, so pick a first strand of hair at the back of your head and loosely twist. It usually creates a kind of Atari twist at first and then tag on its sides to loosen it up. This way, I can control the amount of volume I create. You want to secure the ends of this twist right above the elastic band and under the ends of your tiny ponytail, grab the following strands of hair right next to the first one and repeat the same procedure twist it tug on the streets to loosen it up And secure it in place now we can attach our braids curl. The ends will blend in perfectly with the bar. The sections at the sides of your head are the most important. So here you want to look in the second mirror to find the best place to secure your twist. Finally, we can take care of the front sections of hair to give this hairstyle a very soft and relaxed touch. I'M going to leave a couple of strands to frame my face. Then I bring the remaining hair to the back, find the most flattering position to secure it and pin it in place set your hair with the generous amounts of a hairspray and voila. Your hairstyle is complete. It doesn't really require any special accessories, but for a formal event, you can always dress it up here, just a couple of ideas with different accessories, which version do you like most personally, I'm in love with this flowery headband thanks for watching - and I see you in My next video, my tutorials, come out on Thursdays and Sundays. Bye

Me Me: I wore this hair do to an awards banquet, and it was the best day of my life. Not only did I get tons of compliments, but I won the most prestigious award, got asked out by my long time crush, and got a call saying that I had been accepted to Harvard. No joke.

Jodie Cocks: Thank you for this tutorial it's beautiful! I had this for my school prom and it came out perfectly thanks for the help :)

Zaphy: Thank you so much for this tutorial! I wore this for my wedding reception :) had to modify the bun a little because I have crazy thick long hair, but not too much- I just secured all of my hair in a ponytail and skipped pinning the top up before doing the twist-and-pull bun. it worked really well!

ElishaXIII: I tried this hair style today and I'm really loving it, even without the backcombing! My hair is naturally curly, so it was quite an easy hairstyle to recreate. I can't wait for more medium length curly hairstyles :)

garfeeld888: absolutely love this tutorial.  i tried it on my niece for senior prom. we used a curling iron since we did not have much time. unfortunately, it partially fell part after a few hours due to my inexperience with pinning.  she has coarse, hard to curl asian hair.  i think pinning smaller back sections (5:09) would have been better and more secure.  in any case, it looked great while it lasted and she was the envy of the ball (at least i thought so).  please consider a basic "pinning tutorial"-- i would love it.

Maria Dumitru: I had this done for my prom and I loved it!
