French Waterfall Braid ✿ Mermaid Hairstyle For Medium Long Hair
Here's a cute Halloween hairstyle for you to try out: a beautiful braid perfect to complete a costume of a Disney princess, fairy, elf, angel or mermaid. It's based on a a twisted waterfall braid where released strands are in turn used to create a french mermaid braid. I first saw it on Cute Girls Hairstyles and totally fell in love with this look! I'm growing out my hair and in front it's still a little bit short to braid it all way down to the ends (the shortest strands are often falling out of it), so in this tutorial I'll show you how to do this braid on my friend's Delphine long and thick hair. Plus this way you'll see that it looks lovely not only on blonde hair (that's something I often hear from my viewers...) but also on dark hair! :) Feel free to try out this braid also on curly/wavy hair for a soft romantic look. You can also tie all your ends together to create an illusion of a single braid rather than a half updo/down do

Hi guys, if you're in the mood for princess like down, though with braided accent stood here, is a pretty hairstyle for you to try out. This hairstyle is much easier to do on someone else's hair, the thicker the better, but you can still do it on your own, even if your hair isn't that long nor thick, just to give you an idea here is a version of this. Look that I've done on myself. It all starts from creating two waterfall braids. Those can be either classic or simplified. Twisted waterfalls feel free to check out my detailed video on how to do them on your own hair. Basically, you start with three strands of hair and keep on passing the top one between the bottom ones. After you release it, you twist the other two strands. You pick a new strand of hair from the top pass it through the twisted strands and twist them again. You pick you pass you release and you twist big pass release and twist you want to keep on breathing like that. Until you reach the back of your head, then you can create a regular three strand braid, which will be just a temporary solution to secure our strands. Next, you need to create a symmetric braid on the other side and now comes perhaps the most important step. Keeping the two twisted strands in your left hand, you want to undo the regular braid on the right side and recover the two twisted strands. So you have two strands in your left hand, and two strands in your right hand merge the middle strands to obtain three strands instead of four now we'll create a kind of a French braid, but only using strands that were released from the waterfalls so start. Placing outer strands over the middle one once you bring the right strand in the middle pick, a strand from the right side and add it to the middle strand, bring the left strand in the middle pick a strand released from the left side and add to the Middle strand, cross and add cross and add, and so on. After all, the strands released from the waterfall are incorporated into the French braid tie the ends with an elastic. You could also tie all your hair together at the level of the elastic to create an illusion of a single braid. At this point, this hairstyle is complete, but if you wish, you could still curl the ends to create an even more princess hello. If you try out this hairstyle show me results on Instagram.
